DIABOLICAL: Releases Pre-Production Trailer For Neogenesis

Swedish apocalyptic death metallers DIABOLICAL  are in the progress of recording their fifth album, entitled Neogenesis, and have now released a pre-production teaser on Youtube.

Vocalist and guitarist Sverker Widgren comments: “The recording is well under way and the results are very pleasing so far to say the least. However, it will take a while before we can share any of the actual album material, so we figured we can share some of our demo / pre-production material with all of you out there. I think it will be obvious to everyone now why we are very thrilled about the new album and it is our hope that you can join us in the excitement.”

The band entered Necromorbus Studio in June to begin the recording process for Neogenesis. Guitarist/vocalist Sverker Widgren, who produced the band’s 2008 release The Gallery Of Bleeding Art, is once again handling production duties. A series of video reports featuring behind-the-scenes footage from the making of Neogenesis are being posted on Youtube as the album develops. The first two episodes can be seen below.

This album will follow up DIABOLICAL‘s 2011 release Ars Vitae, which featured nine live songs which chronicled the band’s career, four new studio tracks and a remastered version of their sold-out debut EP Deserts of Desolation. WARBRINGER – European Summer Tourblog Launched

Century Media Records has announced that US-Thrash Metallers WARBRINGER are currently on a massive European tour that lasts until August 12th, covering a total of 17 countries. The band recently wrapped up the UK/Ireland leg of the tour and has also successfully performed at prestigious festival events like Roskilde (Denmark), Getaway Rock (Sweden) and Bang Your Head! (Germany). Many other adventures still lie ahead.

In order to share some of the great vibes of the ongoing tour, WARBRINGER have penned a very entertaining tour blog and will continue to update it in the coming weeks. UK’s Terrorizer magazine is now presenting the first chapter of the diary via their website at this location.

The band’s current album “Worlds Torn Asunder” was produced and mixed by the  renowned Steve Evetts (Suicide Silence, The Dillinger Escape Plan), and features amazing artwork by none less than Dan Seagrave, who designed WARBRINGER‘s previous album cover as well as artwork for such legendary acts as Entombed, Malevolent Creation, Suffocation and Morbid Angel. WARBRINGER last successfully toured Europe in November – December 2011 as main support act to Swedish Metallers Arch Enemy.

DREAMING DEAD Adds New Guitarist To Lineup

Los Angeles-based progressive melodic death metal group DREAMING DEAD has recently added guitarist Chris McCarthy to the fold. The band issued the following statement about their new addition, “After many tiring years of continuous search, we are very pleased to announce the addition of guitar guru and long time friend Chris McCarthy to Dreaming Dead’s lineup. We feel his contribution will take the band’s live sound and songwriting to new and exciting levels. Expect devastating new material in 2013.”

On April 20th of this year, DREAMING DEAD released Midnightmares, an album which showcases the band’s ability to meld elements of black, death, thrash and Schuldiner-inspired progressive metal into one thought-provoking and intense sonic assault. The album was mixed and mastered by Brian Elliot (Exhumed, Dying Fetus, Cannibal Corpse, Hate Eternal, Goatwhore) of Mana Recording Studios. Cover artwork for Midnightmares was done by renowned artist Travis Smith (Opeth, King Diamond, Devin Townsend, et. al.).

Metal Tank Records signs VIGILANCE

Metal tank Records has recently announced that the Slovenian occult heavy metal act VIGILANCE inked a deal with Metal Tank Records that will release their upcoming album. The successor of “Steeds of Time” from 2011 will crush everything in front of with its excellent mixture of genuine traditional speed heavy metal filled with profound devotion for primordial and ritualistic occultism. 

The band comments: “We are thrilled to announce that we are returning to Zalokar studios. The time is at hand to record the successor of our debut album �€sSteeds of Time�€t. We have been working harder than ever before so you can expect nothing but fast, dark and untamed heavy metal!”

 

FIREWIND: Gold Award For “Wall Of Sound” Single In Sweden. New Gus G. Signature Amp Released By Blackstar

Century Media Records has announced that FIREWIND was honored with a Swedish gold award for their latest single, “Wall Of Sound” at a show in Thessaloniki on July 18th. 

FIREWIND’s Gus G. checked in to comment as follows: “What an epic show it was in Thessaloniki! It was our first open air headline show and the crowd was just awesome! The “Few Against Many” world tour couldn’t have started better. We even got our first gold award for the single “Wall Of Sound” in Sweden, which came out with Sweden Rock Magazine! We’re ready to rock the rest of the world now, keep checking back for tourdates that are being added around the world!”

“Wall Of Sound” was exclusively released in Sweden as physical single via Sweden Rock Magazine and each copy of the magazine contained the single’s Digipak CD, including the album tracks “Wall Of Sound” and “Few Against Many” as well as a previously unreleased demo version of “Wall Of Sound”.

FOZZY: Announce Co-Headlining UK Tour with SOiL

Chicago-based hard rockers SOiL will join metal heavyweights FOZZY on a 9-date U.K. tour launching November 27th in Stoke, England, and wrapping-up December 6th in Brighton, England. The tour marks both bands’ first return to the United Kingdom since highly successful appearances on this year’s Download Festival. The tour will also feature the U.K.’s own Breed 77.

 

“The U.K. has always been FOZZY’s second home, and after the amazing experience we had rocking Download 2012, we couldn’t wait to return to the U.K.,” adds FOZZY frontman Chris Jericho. “That’s why this tour with SOiL is so huge for us. To be able to come back to England, Scotland and Wales with a band of their stature is going to blow away our fans, their fans, and make new fans for both of us! Mark my words… for excitement, energy and pure value, FOZZY vs Soil is going to be THE tour of the fall!!”

 

“It will be great to have FOZZY joining us for the tour,” says SOiL bassist Tim King. “We had the pleasure of playing a few shows with them this spring and the two bands fit perfectly together.” The tour will be SOiL’s last before entering the studio to record their long-awaited new album featuring the return of original frontman Ryan McCombs.

 

FOZZY will be making their first U.K. appearance since the August 13 release of new album “Sin And Bones” – their fifth studio album, and first for new label Century Media Records. “I’ve known the SOiL guys for over 15 years and even have a copy of their first demo,” says FOZZY guitarist Rich Ward. “It’s always great to tour with a band that you like, but it’s even better when the band are your friends.
