Former SKUNK ANANSIE, UFO, DIAMOND HEAD Drummer Robbie France has died, aged 52, after reportedly suffering a ruptured aorta. he passed away on Saturday, January 14th. His funeral will be held in Spain later this week.

Michael Schenker born on 10 January 1955 in Sarstedt, Lower Saxony is a legendary rock guitarist, best known for his tenure in UFO, in addition to his solo band. He has influenced many notable guitar players, including Dave Mustaine (Megadeth), Adrian Smith (Iron Maiden), Michael Amott (Arch Enemy – Spiritual Beggars), Chris Caffery (Savatage), George Lynch (Dokken – Lynch Mob), Doug Aldrich (Whitesnake – Dio), Roland Grapow (Masterplan – ex-Helloween), Arjen Lucassen (Ayreon) and many many more.
Michael Schenker has recently released a new solo album, “Temple of Rock” on 23 Sep 2011 (Europe) and 11 Nov 2011 (USA/Canada).

Anthony Frank “Tony” Iommi has born on 19 February 1948 in Heathfield Road Hospital, Handsworth, Birmingham, England. He is a legendary guitarist and song writer that he is widely recognised as one of the most important and influential guitarists in heavy metal universe and also best known as the founding member of pioneering heavy metal band Black Sabbath.
In 2004, Iommi was ranked number one on Guitar World’s “100 Greatest Metal Guitarists of All Time” and in 2011, ranked 25th in Rolling Stone magazine’s list of the “100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time”.
Original METALLICA bassist Ron McGovney will appear at the Mad Monster Party — a retro monster celebration showcasing classic and contemporary creatures of the night (and day) — on March 23-25, 2012 at the Blake Hotel in Charlotte, North Carolina.

McGovney in 2003 made an appearance on the AllMetallica.com message board, MetBoard.com, and answered a couple of questions from fans regarding his time with METALLICA and his more recent activities.
When asked if it was true that he inspired Cliff Burton for his bass solo “Anesthesia”, McGovney said, “I did not write ‘Anesthesia’. That was all Cliff.” As to whether he still plays bass, Ron said, “I still have my basses, but I really don’t play too much anymore. I pulled out IRON MAIDEN ‘Killers’ album the other day to see if I remember any songs on bass. I was surprised that I remembered most of the album. The last band I played in was PHANTASM in 1986/87.”

According to Noise11, a copy of “Can I Sit Next To You Girl”, the debut single from legendary rockers AC/DC, sold on eBay for $1,225.
“Can I Sit Next To You Girl” was only ever released in Australia and features lead vocals from AC/DC‘s original singer, Dave Evans. The B-side was another original song, “Rockin’ In The Parlour”.
The two tracks were the only AC/DC recordings featuring Evans, who was subsequently replaced by Bon Scott.
The single debuted on May 8, 1975 and reached no. 19 on the Australian chart.
AC/DC re-recorded “Can I Sit Next To You Girl” for its second album, “TNT”.
