ELUVEITIE: Win Swiss Music Award

Swiss folk metal act ELUVEITIE  have been awarded one of Switzerland’s most prestigious recognitions in music: a Swiss Music Award in the category “Best Live Act National” on Friday, March 7th 2014.  Watch Eluveitie accept their award at the “Hallenstadion” stadium in Zurich, during a massive 2-hour show on live television at this location.

Commented the band: “Now that we have recovered from Friday night’s events (although our minds are still blown), we would like to say a few words:
Winning a Swiss Music Award for “Best Live Act National” is certainly one of the highlights of our career, and an immense honour. However, it is not just our honour, but yours to share with us: this award goes out to all of you! The stage at the stadium in Zurich last night was as much yours as it was ours. It is also not simply a recognition of our most recent activities, but the result of many years of hard work and amazing times.
We want and have to thank each and every one of the amazing people who have worked with us and supported us in any way during the last 12 years. There are many, and listing them here would exceed the scope of this message. FIGHTCAST Inked A Deal With To React Records

Italian metallers FIGHTCAST have recently inked a deal with To React Records. The band commented:
“Fightcast are proud to announce their new partnership with to react records!
We are excited about this new experience and very satisfied about the professional approach the label has showed us so far.
We hope this collaboration will be as lasting and productive as possible. We can’t wait to return back on stage and show you our best!”

Kaotoxin Records To Release Monsters! (Six of a Kind) Six-Band Grindcore Split April 15

French Kaotoxin Records will release a six band grindcore split entitled Monsters! (Six of a Kind) on April 15. It will Feature tracks from TOTAL FUCKING DESTRUCTION, DEPARTMENT OF CORRECTION, C.O.A.G., MISERABLE FAILURE, UNSU, and INFECTED SOCIETY.

The limited edition  – 1,000 copies with no repress – Deluxe DigiSleeve CD was mastered by Dan O’Hare (BRUTAL TRUTH, XXX MANIAK) and also includes bonus music videos from TOTAL FUCKING DESTRUCTION, INFECTED SOCIETY, and UNSU.

King Diamond Confirms July 30th Show In The Netherlands

Legendary Horror Metal act KING DIAMOND has confirmed a show on July 30th at 013 Poppodium in Tilburg, Netherland. The show will follow the July 25th show in Stockholm at Gröna Lund and is one of only five total shows scheduled for Europe this year!

KING DIAMOND comments further:

“We’re all looking very much forward to come back to Tilburg this summer.
It will be one of three preparation shows for our Wacken Open Air performance, and it will consist of the full Wacken show, meaning, it’s going to be different from last year’s Tilburg show, including a different set list and new special effects.
All in all, we will actually only be playing 5 shows total in Europe this year. We’re in the process of building a new studio in my home, and will be spending most of 2014 getting it up and running and writing new material.”
I hope to see you at the 013 on July 30th. It will be worth it.”

CARNIFEX guitar lessonSan Diego, CA death metal outfit CARNIFEX release their brand new album “Die Without Hope” today.

Furthermore the band have released a tutorial with guitarists Jordan Lockrey and Cory Arford on how to play the track ‘Dragged Into The Grave.’ the video can be seen below:

“Die Without Hope”, was recorded at Audiohammer Studios in Sanford, Florida and produced by the esteemed Mark Lewis (ARSIS, THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER, WHITECHAPEL, DEVILDRIVER, DEICIDE, SIX FEET UNDER). Cover art for the album was created by renowned artist and longtime collaborator, Godmachine. The recording also marks the introduction of new lead guitarist and longtime friend of the band, Jordan Lockrey.
