Pest Records is proud to announce the upcoming release of the long-awaited third studio album of Israeli Death Metal veterans SPAWN OF EVIL. Titled “Sadistic Missionaries“, the band’s new opus is a decade long worth material featuring 8 new tracks of traditional brutal Death Metal with melodic guitar lines, furious rhythm section and wrathful vocals that will surely impress fans of bands like Morbid Angel, Benediction, Gorefest and the likes, and it will be released this Autumn.
Here’s what the band’s leader and founding member Moti Rokah had to say about the new collaboration and album: “We are proud to be the new born of the Pest Records family, this collaboration was intended to be! We are very eager to be side by side with the monstrosities Pest Records holds under their wings!
Our new album Sadistic Missionaries is a milestone in our 25 years journey of pure fun & anger release. The album speaks of those who embrace power to its evil form rather than humanity… In our families, our education, our governments, our religions. Let there be SpawnPest!”
With 25 years of activity under-belt, SPAWN OF EVIL have released 2 full-length albums so far and played live intensively throughout the years becoming one of the most representative Death Metal bands in Israel. Check out the newest video “Rhea of the Gods” (track featured on “Sadistic Missionaries”, too) here:
ASTRALBORNE has today released their second album, Across the Aeons, via Prosthetic Records. The Midwest melodeath trio’s sophomore sees the band take to the furthest corners of the galaxy, exploring themes of Lovecraftian cosmicism and interstellar fantasy fiction. Alongside Across the Aeons‘ release, ASTRALBORNE has also shared a music video for the album track Skybreaker.
Speaking on the album release, ASTRALBORNE comments: “Today we are honored to announce the release of our second full length album, Across the Aeons out NOW on Prosthetic Records. Grab a copy! Like, share, comment, and LISTEN on whatever platform you’re on! Once again, we’d like to extend a tremendous thank you to everyone involved for allowing this album to see the light of day and to all of our fans for their continued support. We couldn’t have done it without you.”
On Skybreaker, the band adds: “Skybreaker is an artillery blast of melancholic riffs and anthemic songwriting. Fast, fun, and straight to the point. Probably our shortest full song to date, this banger pulls out all the stops and goes right for the jugular.”
After their 2020 debut album, Eternity’s End, introduced ASTRALBORNE as accomplished purveyors of both compellingly intricate melodicism and dexterous brutality in equal measure, Across the Aeons’ creative process began immediately following their lauded first full-length release. Commencing writing in spring of 2020, the group soon found themselves expanding upon the more grandiose passages of their sonic foundations, with conscious efforts made to accommodate cellist and composer Kakophonix’s contributions.
Recorded by bassist and vocalist Paul Fuzinki in 2021 between Call of the Yeti Studio in Swanton, OH and North Shore Studios in Fife Lake, MI, Across the Aeons was then mixed by Unnus Latif at Black Moon Recordings, Columbus, OH and mastered by Orden Ogan’s Sebastian “Seeb” Levermann at Greenman Studios in Germany. The end result of production sees ASTRALBORNE’s knack for lofty fretwork and rhythmic pummel shine among sanguine acoustic arrangements and beguiling orchestration.
The 12 tracks on offer chart a journey of acceptance in the face of humankind’s impermanence within a cosmic void, be it Fuzinski’s bellowing promise of hell itself, “chaos, death and fire” on lead single War Vessel or interdimensional overlap on Gemini’s celestial death metal pomp. Elsewhere ASTRALBORNE team up with labelmates Steve Redmond (Foretoken, The Day of the Beast) and Yegor Savovin (Fires in the Distance) on December Flower and the resplendent mid-album instrumental Promethean Fire respectively.
ASTRALBORNE’s interstellar voyage is visually brought to life in evocative fashion by Spanish artist Juanjo Castellano (The Black Dahlia Murder, Voidceremony, Coffins). For as alone as we may be in the cosmos of Across the Aeons, the band’s second album shirks the nihilistic connotations of such a realisation, opting instead to revel in the totality of all beings and things.
Across the Aeons tracklist: 1. Exordium 2. War Vessel 3. Nocturneous 4. Skybreaker 5. Gemini 6. December Flower 7. Promethean Fire 8. Star of Extinction 9. Paradigm Shift 10. The Pillars of Creation 11. Across the Aeons 12. Cadence of Sorrow
ASTRALBORNE is: Paul Fuzinski – Bass and vocals Derik Smith – Guitar Jayson Cessna – Drums
The band comment: “Riluo is our most vulnerable and emotional album yet. Whether it be a soundtrack of understanding to those who have suffered or a message of raw truth to others, we hope Riluo will touch hearts and souls.”
Laang 冷 (“cold”) are born from an unearthly near-death experience, and the post-traumatic stress suffered by vocalist-guitarist Haitao Yang. The band’s music exquisitely explores the pain, misery, and struggle of trauma and recovery – a unique and highly cathartic project.
Laang 冷‘s musical style combines aggressive and non-canonical black metal riffing with melancholic melodies, tortured vocals performed in Mandarin Chinese, dark orchestras, and traditional erhu & guzheng instrumentation. Haunting and captivating, Laang 冷 provide a highly-charged tormented soundscape – heard throughout the meditative Riluo (“sunset”), with eight new tracks ruminating on death and beyond.
Although still a relatively new project, Laang 冷‘s list of achievements so far is impressive. Their debut album Haiyang 海洋 (“ocean”) was released in 2019 on Talheim Records, and received the Kaohsiung City National Culture Award, followed by headlining tours through Taiwan and Hong Kong. In 2021 the band released their second album Xinteng 心疼 (“misery”), again on Talheim Records, followed by a headlining North American tour May 2022.
Laang 冷‘s music has also been featured in several movies and video games, including the Hollywood horror film Antidote (2021), directed by Peter Daskaloff, and the video game Dyslite and Silver Squad.
Laang 冷 are: Haitao Yang – Vocals, guitar, erhu, synthesizers Willy “Krieg” Tai – Bass

After two successful releases, “Broken Leaf” (2009, Solitude Productions) and “Sorrow” (2015), the band have honed their underground roots into a more accessible sound with an emphasis on concise songwriting and memorable melodies.
The upcoming new album “The Season Came Undone” (nine tracks, 51 minutes) reflects the band’s ambition to reach a wider audience without giving up their doom/death heritage. With unique vocal harmonies, soaring leads, a pounding rhythm section and thoughtful lyrics, MY LAMENT has matured into a forward-thinking foursome that doesn’t sound quite like any other band.
Watch for more singles and news on other upcoming MY LAMENT activities to be posted shortly.
MY LAMENT is a doom/death metal band from Antwerp, Belgium. Since its genesis in 2002, the core line-up has remained the same: founding members Steph (bass) and Vincent (drums), soon joined by Paul on guitar. Additional guitars, synths and vocals were supplied by various members throughout the years, with a debut demo titled “Beneath the Hidden” coming out in 2006. Full-length album “Broken Leaf” was released to critical acclaim in 2009 on the Russian doom metal label Solitude Productions.
Always looking beyond the confines of metal, MY LAMENT was chosen to be part of “Heaven and Hell” (2010), an ambitious contemporary music production inspired by the poetry of William Blake, alongside classically trained musicians, singers, composers and scenographers. Some of these concerts saw Robrecht filling in on guitar, who eventually joined as a permanent member.
MY LAMENT hired vocalist Xavier to incorporate melodic singing as well as death metal grunts on “Sorrow” (2015). However, for the following tour in Germany and the Czech Republic, they decided to continue as a four-piece band, with Robrecht combining vocals and guitar.
Invigorated by new influences and a stable line-up, the band has since honed their underground roots into a more accessible sound with an emphasis on concise songwriting and memorable melodies. This new direction became evident in the single “Life Will Be the Death of Me”, released with a self-produced 360-degree video in 2018.
Line-up:
Steph – bass Vincent – drums Paul – guitars Robrecht – vocals & guitars
