Italian black death metallers SIRRUSH will release their new album “Molon Labe” via Non Serviam Records on November 25th 2022.
“Molon Labe” will be released as CD digipak and digital. The pre-orders of the new album are available here: CD – Bandcamp
“Molon Labe” (in ancient Greek: μολὼν λαβέ, Molòn labé, literally “come and take”) describes the epic journey faced by Greece against the Persian threat in 480 BC. The new album faces an epic world where the music is dictated by both arcane melodies reminiscent of the fury of Greek soldiers and more atmospheric and evocative melodies to remember their tenacity and devotion to their native land.
The album was mixed and mastered at the Kick Recording Studio in Rome by Marco Mastrobuono, who has worked with bands such as Fleshgod Apocalypse. The drums were recorded by Davide Billia (Hours Of Penance, Beheaded, Antropofagus) in his MK recording studio.
The cover is an acrylic painting on canvas made by the Sicilian artist Lorenzo Di Vincenzo, aka Otagron, the band’s singer.

Germany’s Cult Thrashers NECRONOMICON are currently on their The Final Chapter Tour 2022 over Europe, which kicked off on September 23rd and still 10 shows to go.
While travelling to Kaunas, LT, on their day off, Freddy, the frontman and vocalist shared: “The tour has started very, very well, and especially for Marco and me it’s already the 6th Eastern Europe tour within 10 years and therefore we saw many many friends, fans and acquaintances again in Slovakia, Czech Republic and Hungary; but especially many young fans who wear the love for thrash music also with pride on their jackets and frocks and especially interesting for us: many NECRONOMICON fans with stickers and t-shirts from our previous tours. Rik and Glen are also totally excited and gonna be enthusiastically received and celebrated by the fans. But most of all the fascinating enthusiasm of the fans is a real pleasure. Keep it up…..we are now looking forward to the rest of the tour shows”

NECRONOMICON’s 11th, yet untitled studio album is in the works, last month the band issued the update:
“Rhythm guitars are now recorded and last Friday we started with the drum recording before we’ll prepare for our European tour. The cover artwork is also in progress and will be finished by the end of September, as will the album. Glen will join us next week so we will be all together then. Can‘t wait to be on stage with the guys again.”
The album is produced by Necronomicon and the mixing + mastering will be handled by Achim Köhler.
Earlier Freddy revealed: “The album includes 13 songs full of power and hardness. A wide spectrum from typical thrash metal versions over punk-heavy versions to driving midtempo songs. As the world is becoming to resemble the H.P. Lovecraft’s Necronomicon (Book of Dead) we have decided to deal with the current situation in Ukraine and in general with the topic of war and violence against children and women. Musically I would like to tie in with “The Final Chapter” and deliver a wide range of song material which also means a new beginning, a new chapter of the band with Rik and Glen at the same time. Stay tuned!”
More details TBA!

Celebrated Montreal rock’n’roll band THE DAMN TRUTH are pleased to announce the release of their new single “Look Innocent” on Friday October 7th.
The single is accompanied by a music video that can be seen from today on YouTube, below.
The new single is released a week before the band return to the UK for an 11-date UK tour which kicks off on October 15th at the O2 Academy Bristol.
The band will support Planet Rock’s Rocktober shows in Bristol O2 Academy (Oct 15) and Sheffield O2 Academy (Oct 22), followed dates supporting King King at Northampton Roadmender (Oct 16), Southampton 1865 (Oct 20), Liverpool Hangar 34 (Oct 21).
In addition to the above, The Damn Truth will also headline their own concerts including Norwich Waterfront Studio (Oct 18), Chester Live Rooms (Oct 23), Newcastle Cluny (Oct 25), Glasgow Stereo (Oct 26), York Fulford Arms (Oct 27), and London’s Black Heart (Oct 28).
About the new single, lead singer, Lee-la Baum says, “We have a bit of a habit of putting ourselves into dangerous situations for our videos, from hanging upside down and being spun around, and now, in this video, walking backwards into crowds and cars at rush hour. If there’s a rock’n’roll nine lives, we’ve used up quite a few so far.”
“Sometimes it’s the little things that stick with you… We were on tour somewhere in western Canada, on what felt like the longest highway EVER. I started to think about this silly argument I once had with my boyfriend and how we almost broke up over it. It made me laugh in my head, so I wrote it down on a piece of paper. I could almost immediately hear the melody and type of vibe that the song should have. When we got to wherever it was that we were going, I grabbed the guitar, and the song was born.”
“The song is really about everything that is under the surface in a long-term relationship. Obviously, our problems weren’t about the type of pet we should or should not get, it was just a trigger… but I find those little moments of being so detached from reality WONDERFUL!”
“Look innocent is an ode to a longing for a love that was. A love that was far from perfect, yet the memories are vivid, and perfection is over-rated anyway.”
Adds TDT’s drummer Dave Traina, “When we were in the studio with Bob Rock, we had a bit more difficulty recording this song. The changes Bob made were challenging and it put us all on the spot, which is what you want with that level of producer. It made us approach this with a heavier, serious vibe and I think that also comes across in the video. It’s one of our favourite songs to play live because of that.”
The tour announcement dovetails with the band’s latest single “Look Innocent,” which is taken from their critically acclaimed album “Now or Nowhere” released by Spectra Musique/Sony Music. The album, produced by legendary Grammy Award winning record producer, Bob Rock, is available from www.thedamntruth.com.
The Damn Truth have experienced considerable success at radio airplay in the UK including ten weeks of high rotation for their previous single “This Is Who We Are Now” on Planet Rock and a spot play on BBC Radio 2’s Rock Show with Johnnie Walker. The band have also won on several occasions for Tracks of the Week on Classic Rock’s Louder Sound.
The band have been championed by the British music press with extensive magazine coverage in Classic Rock, Blues Matters, Guitarist, Powerplay, Guitar Techniques, Record Collector, Fireworks, Blues in Britain, Hard Rock Hell, MNPR and R’N’R Magazine.
“We’re looking forward to touring the UK,” says lead singer and guitarist, Lee-la Baum. “Last time we played the UK was earlier this year when we supported King King on their February tour. We had a fantastic time, and we can’t wait to return for more fun and excitement. UK audiences are the best.”
The Damn Truth is comprised of Lee-La Baum (lead vocals, guitar), Tom Shemer (guitar), PY Letellier (bass) and Dave Traina (drums).
“The Damn Truth are a fresh revivalism of the psyche music scene from the mid 60’s,” says Jeff Laufer, editor of the Californian website, Rock Bands of LA. “Critics and fans alike praise their regeneration of the hard rock sound and values.”
“Bob Rock found a spirit within the band that he hadn’t experienced for many years,” continues Jeff. “He saw something special… an artist with burning talent that needed the right direction to break wide open…like lightning in a bottle.”
“The production by the legendary Bob Rock capturing the essence of what the band have without damaging the humanness at its core. The drums thunder, the bass throbs, the guitar alone could wreak havoc to the solar system and the vocals of Lee-La Baum control the storm, a commanding presence over the hurricane.” – Metal Planet Music
Six tracks on the new album “Now or Nowhere” were produced by legendary Grammy Award winning Bob Rock (Metallica, Aerosmith, Motley Crue, Bon Jovi, Bryan Adams, The Cult, The Offspring) at Bryan Adams’ recording studio “The Warehouse” in Vancouver.
“Now or Nowhere” chronicles the band as they navigate life, love, and everything else in a world gone seemingly upside down and sideways during the past year they were unable to finish the album with Bob because of COVID-19 restrictions, the band recorded the remaining three songs with help from Juno Award-winning producer Jean Massicotte who mixed “Everything Fades”; and the rest of the mixing was done by Vance Powell (Jack White, Chris Stapleton), Nick DiDia (Bruce Springsteen, Rage Against The Machine), and Mike Plotnikoff (Van Halen, Cranberries).
The Damn Truth have extensively toured Europe and North America and opened tours for Z.Z. Top (and partied with Billy Gibbons in his pyjamas), the Sheepdogs, Styx, and Rival Sons.
They sold out the legendary Whisky a Go-Go in Los Angeles, sold out the Corona Theatre in their hometown of Montreal, and had one of their videos featured on the official Janis Joplin Facebook page. It’s a culmination of a lot of blood, sweat and tears that’s come fruition with “Now or Nowhere”.
