Canadian deathcore pioneers DESPISED ICON return with their seventh full-length album, Shadow Work which will be released on October 31, 2025 via Nuclear Blast Records. Their first new music in six years, the album stands as the band’s most fine-tuned and dynamic effort to date, balancing relentless speed, crushing grooves, and morbid melodies, while remaining true to their signature blend of extreme death metal and hardcore grit.
Driven by DESPISED ICON‘s trademark fusion of explosive blast beats and crushing breakdowns, ‘Death of an Artist‘ is a merciless journey through the psychological turmoil of self-doubt, ego death, and rebirth. Defined by raw intensity and unyielding resolve, the lyrics follow a powerful journey of transformation: an artist confronts fading dreams and broken promises before emerging stronger through ruin and redemption. Watch the music video directed by Jessy Fuchs, below.
DESPISED ICON‘s Alex Erian comments, “We promised a rollercoaster with this record, and it’s time to deliver. Where ‘Over My Dead Body’ leaned into crushing grooves and dissonance, ‘Death Of An Artist’ pushes the pedal down with pure speed and technicality. This one is not only my favorite track on the album, it’s also the most personal. You can hear the echoes of the classic Death Metal bands that shaped us running through some of these riffs. We’re just getting started. Thanks for listening.”
Symphonic metal sensation BEYOND THE BLACK are excited to share the third single from their eagerly awaited upcoming studio album, Break The Silence, which is due to be released on January 9th, 2026 via Nuclear Blast Records.
The emotional anthem ‘The Art Of Being Alone‘ features none other than Chris Harms of acclaimed German metal band Lord Of The Lost on guest vocals, and lyrically deals with important contemporary issues such as mental health, self-empowerment and positive life perception. A video that has been released alongside the single illustrates the feeling of being alone and cornered, but towards the end, it shows the path to self-awareness and ultimately, a way out of this mental prison.
Singer Jennifer Haben commented: “‘The Art Of Being Alone’ is one of the most emotional songs for us since it‘s born from personal battles and quiet reflections. We wanted it to be fragile and powerful at the same time and we believe many of you will find your own story between its lines. Having Chris Harms join us with his uniquely intense voice and personality felt absolutely perfect and brought a depth to this track that made it even more special.”
Chris Harms (Lord Of The Lost) added: “This duet was long overdue! For more than 10 years now, LORD OF THE LOST and BEYOND THE BLACK have been crossing paths — we like and appreciate each other and it was kind of obvious that Jenny’s and my voices would work great together. Now we’ve finally made it happen and created this powerful, goosebump-inducing song together! I’m really happy about it!“
BEYOND THE BLACK’s sixth full length Break The Silence is a concept album rooted in melodic metal with ethno influences, it explores themes of communication, inner strength, resilience and the urgent need to reconnect in a divided world. Tracks like ‘Let There Be Rain’, ‘(La Vie Est Un) Cinéma’, ‘Ravens’ and ‘The Flood’ examine how words – and their absence – shape our reality. It’s an emotional, multi-layered experience that mirrors today’s complex world and invites fans to be part of this new chapter.
Prolific metal band FIT FOR AN AUTOPSY deliver an unrelenting standalone single, perfectly titled ‘It Comes For You‘. The track is an aggressive, full-throttle journey right out of the gate; masterfully blending the band’s older sound with the high-caliber production and songwriting that has become a hallmark of FIT FOR AN AUTOPSY. ‘It Comes For You‘ was recorded earlier this year at Graphic Nature Audio in Kinnelon NJ with the bands own Will Putney handling the production, mixing and mastering. The cover artwork was created by Jorden Haley.
Watch the visual onslaught that Eric Richter at Channel 13 Productions created for ‘It Comes For You’, below.
FIT FOR AN AUTOPSY‘s Will Putney states, “An aggressive offering from our camp felt like an appropriate response to the current climate of class disparity and political overreach. Sometimes I feel like we’re beating a dead horse over here but it’s important to consistently remind the listener to remain intolerant of such authoritarian rule. Believe it or not, but one day, it comes for you.“
Last year, the band released their seventh studio album The Nothing That Is which featured the singles ‘Hostage‘, ‘Savior Of None / Ashes Of All‘, ‘Lower Purpose‘, and ‘Red Horizon‘. Stream/purchase The Nothing That Is at https://ffaa.bfan.link/the-nothing-that-is

After eleven long years, German speed heavy metal pioneers WARRANT return with their long-awaited new studio album, “The Speed Of Metal”, set for release on October 10, 2025 via Massacre Records.
The legendary band – originally formed in 1983 and known for their cult albums “First Strike” (1984) and “The Enforcer” (1985) – are back with a record which reconnects with their roots while pushing their sound into the present.
Recorded and mixed by Martin Buchwalter at Gernhart Studios (Troisdorf), mastered by Michael Schwabe at Monoposto (Düsseldorf), and featuring cover artwork by renowned artist Gyula Havancsak, the album captures WARRANT’s uncompromising vision with power and precision. Produced by frontman Jörg Juraschek, the record also features pre-production by Norman Jonas.
Alongside brand-new material, “The Speed Of Metal” includes two special highlights: “It’s Up to You” – originally written in 1988, re-recorded and reborn with new energy – and “Windy City” – a powerful cover of a song by glam legends The Sweet, a lifelong dream of vocalist/bassist Juraschek.
With the addition of guitarist Adrian Weiss alongside longtime member Michael Dietz, WARRANT return to their classic four-piece lineup, delivering a wall of dual-guitar power, blistering solos, and relentless speed.

Melodic death-metal outfit SELIAS has unveiled their brand-new single and video “Bullets”, the first strike from their upcoming album Killkarma, set for release on November 7, 2025.
“Bullets” hits like a metallic gut punch — no filler, just pure force. Inspired by the unforgiving grind of fight culture, it’s a double-edged title: both literal and psychological. BULLETS dives into the fighter’s mindset — the kill-or-be-killed mentality, the hunger to dominate, to take what’s yours. It’s not just powerful. It’s purposeful. Ruthless. Respected.
With Killkarma, SELIAS pushes further into melodic brutality and atmospheric depth, drawing inspiration from In Flames, Soilwork, Rammstein, Marilyn Manson, and Orbit Culture. Their 2025 live shows are already showcasing the new material with full-scale performances of sound, light, and intensity.
Formed in 2020 by guitarist Steve Elias, SELIAS fuses aggression with atmosphere, precision, and emotion. Rounded out by Guilliaume Pascal (vocals/keys), Daniel Bouwman (drums), and Jeff Hyde (bass), the band delivers a cinematic metal experience that bridges classic death metal ferocity with modern melodic edge.
