Dedicated to the memory of Trånn Ciekals (1978-2025), mastermind of DJEVEL, and a long-time close friend of the band, KOLDBRANN release the song ‘Elevert Hinsides Tilstand’ on streaming.
Written by Mannevond, with the title by Kvass, ‘Elevert Hinsides Tilstand’ (translated to ‘Elevated Beyond State’) was originally released as a CD-only bonus track on KOLDBRANNs latest album, ‘Ingen Skånsel’ (August 2024).
Fans of Norwegian Black Metal know that if you mention the name KOLDBRANN you are going to get a band that is respectful of its traditional True Norwegian Black Metal roots, but one that goes its own way, eschewing any trends, in order to deliver a varied, dynamic and uncompromising sound. From the raw and fearsome, to the drifting and atmospheric – like ‘Elevert Hinsides Tilstand’.

GODSLAVE releases new single and video ‘Stay Hungry’ – the song, originally by TWISTED SISTER, and is part of the tribute album ‘Champions’ which will be released digitally on 14 March on Metalville Records.

For drummer Tobi, TWISTED SISTER’s live performance at Graspop 2016 was a revelation. He brings the energy and passion of this performance to his drumming at every show, driving the Saarlanders mercilessly forward.
‘Stay hungry’ is an anthem made for GODSLAVE – even after 15 years, the five-piece are still hungry and can hardly wait to get on the stage every time. Yes, not every move works like it used to and the sore muscles afterwards last for more than just one day… but it’s still full throttle from start to finish – with lots of fun in their cheeks!
Stay hungry is the last single before the release of the entire tribute album ‘Champions’ on 21 February – then there will be another 16 (!) previously unheard songs – with one or two big surprises.

Here it is – the long-awaited highlight of the GODSLAVE 15th anniversary celebrations: ‘Champions’.
A special tribute album with which the five Saarlanders pay homage to the bands and songs – their ‘champions’ – that inspired them to make music themselves. The return to the origins, the pure passion for music, has contributed significantly to the fact that GODSLAVE still exist (the band have relentlessly revealed the background to this in their documentary ‘Hinter der Kulisse’).
As you could have guessed from the 4 pre-release singles, there are a few surprises on ‘Champions’ that will raise your eyebrows. Punk songs by PENNYWISE, NOFX and THE OFFSPRING rub shoulders with classic metal songs by ICED EARTH, MOTÖRHEAD, WHIPLASH, JUDAS PRIEST and THE HAUNTED. But nobody would have expected GODSLAVE to seriously cover LIMP BIZKIT. ‘Full Nelson’ is GODSLAVE’s very own version of the global hit, which only lets the original shine through when you listen closely.
Among the surprises are SAMAEL, DOG EATH DOG, DIE TOTEN HOSEN, SENTENCED and last but not least: DAVID HASSELHOFF!
The passion with which GODSLAVE approached these songs makes us eager for the next album with their own songs in early 2026!
Anticipation is building for the release of THE MAN-EATING TREE‘s upcoming studio album, “Night Verses”, set to be released on April 11, 2025 via Noble Demon. After the band recently unleashed the brand new track “Seer“, their first release in nearly a decade since their last album “In The Absence Of Light”, they are now presenting the second intense piece from their upcoming album. “To The Sinking”, an atmospheric track that further underscores the band’s return.

Swedish death metal stalwarts Imperishable have released the second offering from their upcoming second album Swallow the World which will be released on 11th April, 2025 via Hammerheart Records. The second single ‘Riding Demons’, which comes in the form of an official music video, is now streaming via the label’s YouTube channel.
Imperishable comment on the track: “‘Riding Demons’ tells the tale of someone who consciously gives in to temptation, lust and sloth, while wallowing in self-pity over the situation inflicted on himself. Musically, the band is treading down a different path this time, maintaining our sound but setting a darker, almost gothic feel. Hail, fires of frustration!“
With their new album Swallowing the World, Imperishable sharpen their signature blend of melody and aggression, diving deeper into the sonic territory carved out by pioneers like Necrophobic, Death, and At the Gates. Imperishable teamed up with none other than Andy LaRocque at Sonic Train Studios (At the Gates, Lord Belial, King Diamond), who handled recording, mixing, and mastering duties. LaRocque’s production brings out the album’s intricate layers and gives its melodic elements room to breathe without sacrificing a shred of brutality. Visually, Juanjo Castellano crafted the album’s cover art, capturing the album’s dark, epic feel and adding a final grim touch.
With aggressive riffing that’s both blistering and melodic, Swallowing the World is more than a throwback, it’s a forward stride in the genre, proving that melodic death metal can be as fierce as it is haunting.
