Fronted by the powerhouse vocals of Meghan Parnell and driven by the fiery guitar work of Dave Barnes, Bywater Call has been making waves across the globe, earning nominations from the Independent Blues and Maple Blues Awards, including “Entertainer of the Year” and “Best Female Vocalist.” 

The band were also nominated for the 2024 UK Blues Awards “International Artist of the Year” alongside the winner of the category, Larkin Poe. This year, the band was short-listed once again for this award and are in the top 20 along with Larkin Poe, Joanne Shaw Taylor, Beth Hart, Christone ‘Kingfish’ Ingram, Samantha Fish, Bobby Rush and other notables in the genre.

ADE will release their fifth full-length album, “Supplicium”, on March 14th 2025 via Time To Kill Records.

True to their musical identity, the band continues to explore the allure of ancient Rome, weaving tales of battles, sacrifices, and glory into a powerful and immersive narrative.

“Supplicium” represents a perfect balance between tradition and modernity. On one hand, the lyrical concept and epic atmospheres transport the listener to the age of the Roman Empire, evoking visions of triumphant marches and blood-soaked arenas. YNGWIE MALMSTEEN Celebrates His Illustrious 40th Anniversary Career with “Tokyo Live” Album, Out April 25th

The legendary guitar virtuoso Yngwie Malmsteen is set to release his brand-new album, ‘Tokyo Live’ on 28 March via Music Theories Recordings. The album is a celebration of his illustrious 40-year career. You can check out the first blistering taster on the video for “Top Down, Foot Down” HERE.

The incomparable Malmsteen is one of the greatest guitarists to ever have lived. So, when the chance comes to witness the maestro in the live setting, you take notice. This mesmerizing spectacle can be witnessed on ‘Tokyo Live’.
 
“Top Down, Foot Down” is taken from the 2016 album, ‘World on Fire’ and showcases the wide range and dynamic flavour which demonstrates Malmsteen’s fury and elegance, all encapsulated in a just under two-minute version of the song. “Top Down, Foot Down” is one of my favorite live numbers, C#m arpeggios into E arpeggios and a fluid C#m melody with flat 5th diminished and suspended resolution. The title also depicts my love of convertible cruising,” he explains.

The concert was recorded at the Zepp DiverCity, Tokyo on May 11th, 2024, as part of his 40th Anniversary World Tour. Calling upon an enormous catalogue of material, Malmsteen shredded his way through a furious set, backed by a mountainous Marshall stack wall. Talking about the live experience, Malmsteen adds, “Playing live in front of people is really what it’s all about. It’s exciting and dangerous because you have to take risks and there’s no fixing afterwards.”

Malmsteen’s breathtaking technique takes centre stage of the 100-minute concert whilst being cocooned by exquisite musicianship throughout. The setlist tracks Malmsteen’s illustrious career, from “Hiroshima Mon Amour” and “Evil Eye” and through his remarkable solo career with “Rising Force,” “Far Beyond The Sun,” “Arpeggios from Hell” and “Seventh Sign” all the way up to his most recent material taken from 2021’s ‘Parabellum,’ with “Wolves At The Door,” “Relentless Fury”, (Si Vis Pacem) Parabellum,” and not to mention rousing renditions of “Paganini’s 4th” and “Smoke on the Water.”
 
The name of Yngwie Malmsteen has always stood for uncompromising excellence. In a career that now spans more than 40 years he has proven himself to be a unique artist. You can try to categorise him in any way you wish. But the manner in which this supreme Swedish craftsman has continually developed his music makes Malmsteen sublimely transcend any definition you attempt to impose.
 
He now has a catalogue of 22 solo studio albums, each of which has much to commend. Malmsteen’s artistry has always clearly incorporated a healthy virtuosity, but his talent goes well beyond a comprehensive control of the guitar. The man is a fine composer and, on recent releases, has also showcased a strong vocal presence and now, with only this fifth live release, it captures four decades of relentless fury and blissful artistry of one of the true greats.

The band continue their blast of a musical and lyrical concept, tackling the catastrophic incident at the Chernobyl power plant in 1986. The new offering will be released on 11th April, 2025.

Cytotoxin recently released the first two stand alone singles ‘Hope Terminator‘ and ‘Condemnesia‘.

With their new record, Cytotoxin explore their roots and takes listeners on a journey through the radiated wasteland of Pripyat. Biographyte dedicates each song to a memorable location, thus narrating the biographical story of the tragic catastrophe in 1986 and those who were affected. Symbolically depicted in the cover artwork, humanity is doomed to carry the consequences of the reactor disaster with it for eternity. The title track itself reflects the situation of firefighters picking up graphite bricks on the night of the explosion, causing irreversible damage to their skin and bodies, which often led to fatalities.

On the night of 26th April, 1986  an explosion at the Chernobyl power plant changed the course of the world.

Inspired by this catastrophe, the German death metal band Cytotoxin emerged in 2010, bringing a new level of intensity to the genre. By fusing technical and brutal riffs while thematizing the devastating effects of the reactor disaster, they quickly drew attention in the scene. Their debut album, Plutonium Heaven (2011), was a self-produced powerhouse, followed by their second record, Radiophobia (2012), which secured them a three-album deal with American label Unique Leader Records.

Cytotoxin quickly gained a reputation for their explosive live performances and razor-sharp precision on their instruments. Their third album, Gammageddon (2017), solidified their place in the tech death community, while their fourth album, Nuklearth (2020), showcased their versatility and songwriting capabilities. Following numerous European tours and major festival shows, Cytotoxin just made their U.S. and Canadian debut in November 2024. Now, they are ready to conquer new territories with their two new singles ‘Hope Terminator’ and ‘Condemnesia’ in hand.
