FATAL EMBRACE Release Second Album “Hail Down Deep”, Out Now

FATAL EMBRACE have released their second album “Hail Down Deep”, out now via Black Lion Records.

It had taken a really long time. Or at least it felt long for us, for Candlelight Records to release our debut album Shadowsoul’s Garden. So, when it finally came out in November of 1997 we went back into the studio just a few months later and recorded our second album Hail Down Deep. This time around we knew what to expect and what was going to happen when we went into the studio. Christian Silver (then producer now our drummer) was going to haunt us relentlessly about keeping time and getting our playing abilities up to the standard of our peers in the genre. So we went in there with a mission. To record a close to perfect album. A bold mission statement some would say, but it kept us motivated.

Hail Down Deep was recorded mixed and mastered in March of 1998 and was scheduled to be released later that year. As it turned out though, we had started playing with other bands at the time. Andreas had joined Sundown with Christian Silver and members from Cemetary and Tiamat. Manne would later go on to join Cemetery and later Beseech. Henric started singing with Lothlorien and Tommy joined Eternal Lies. So Hail Down Deep was left unreleased as we all moved on with other bands and other musical endeavors.

When we got back together again as Fatal Embrace and we started talking about writing new music together again, we started talking about releasing Hail Down Deep first and then move on to writing new stuff. As it turned out, it was really inspiring to write new music rather than to release an old album. So that was what we did. We wrote and recorded Manifestum Infernalis, but Hail Down Deep has always been a personal favorite of ours and we are really excited to finally have it released. Since our line-up has changed a bit we felt it would be most fair to the current line-up to let Henric Serholt step up to the microphone and re-record vocals for the album. He is and was back then our lyricist so it was a natural progression for us.

The album has newly recorded vocals and a few additional guitars have been added. It was mixed and mastered by Christian Silver in 2024.

So here it is. Hail Down Deep. Our past is back to hunt us down.

This track captures the struggle to overcome that poison in your veins, the chains that keep you trapped, and finally reclaiming your power.

Following their acclaimed “Bionic Swarm” debut album (2021) and the EP “The Silent Call” (2023), Dutch futuristic metallers CRYPTOSIS return with a mighty, awe-inspiring sophomore album entitled “Celestial Death” , set for worldwide release on March 7th, 2025.

As first example of the intense material available on “Celestial Death” a first single entitled FACELESS MATTER has been made available today across digital platforms.

Stream the new single here: https://cryptosis.lnk.to/CelestialDeathNe

CRYPTOSIS comment as follows about the track: “With FACELESS MATTER we’re opening the new album “Celestial Death” . The song dives into a future where individuality fades, and people become part of one collective mind, haunted by the loss of self. This track brings a darker, heavier, and more symphonic sound. Welcome to the new era of CRYPTOSIS.”
