THE BROWNING Celebrate New Album Release with New Video for ‘Misery.exe’, Feat. Nik Nocturnal

The Browning has released their deathcore album OMNI,available on digital, CD, and vinyl, out now from FiXT.  Purchase/Stream: https://link.fixtmusic.com/OMNI

OMNI is a visceral journey through the depths of deathcore, featuring ten powerful tracks, including collaborations with Nik Nocturnal and THE DEFECT. The album showcases some of The Browning’s heaviest songs yet, like “HIVEMIND” and “Poison,” which together have amassed over 3.5 million streams across all digital platforms. “Deceiver,” the third release from the album brings a blistering critique of the deceitful narratives perpetuated by those in power. Accompanied by an adrenaline-fueled official music video, “Deceiver” blends the explosive energy of metalcore with the dark, mechanical undertones of industrial and the raw emotion of deathcore and its inspiration – the iconic delivery found in Rammstein’s “Du Hast.” The explosive single “OMNI” featuring THE DEFECT, which premiered at Revolver Mag, serves as a harbinger of the album’s fierce energy. The album ends with the ominous double capstone of singles “Come To Grips With Death and the End” and “Soul Drift” which flip a complete 180 while still maintaining the fierce vocals with “Soul Drift” illustrating the very definition of rave metal.

Releasing with the album is the new track “MISERY.exe” accompanied by metal guitarist and YouTube sensation Nik Nocturnal.  With a hard hitting music video replete with ominous vibes and cyberpunk undertones “MISERY.exe” is a high-octane fusion of crushing guitars, punishing drums, and apocalyptic synths, creating a dark, dystopian atmosphere that matches the intensity of the song’s theme. Synth, drums, guitar, and bass collide with Nik Nocturnal’s intense guitar work, in an electrifying soundscape, creating an industrial-tinged atmosphere that amplifies the track’s raw intensity. The track delivers an intense fusion of deathcore, metalcore, and industrial elements, creating a sonic assault that is both fierce and energetic, showcasing The Browning’s signature blend of metal and electronic influences.

The Browning is an electronic metal band founded by Jonny McBee as a solo project in 2005. In 2010 The Browning transitioned into a full band and has toured the world with bands such as Electric Callboy, Static X, Fear Factory, and We Came As Romans. They’ve put out two EPs  Standing On The Edge EP (2010), Time Will Tell EP (2011), and five albums, Burn This World (2011) Hypernova (2013), Isolation (2016), Geist (2018), and End Of Existence (2021). The Browning‘s current lineup is Jonny McBee and Hardcore Keem. The Browning has consistently pushed the boundaries of music, fusing genres and redefining heavy sounds. The band’s new line-up sets the stage for an electrifying chapter in their journey.

In 2011 on their full-length debut Burn This World, The Browning expanded the boundaries of heavy music through a seamless fusion of industrial, electronic, rock, and metal. In 2013 Hypernova represented a high watermark for the band. Named ‘Album of the Week’ by Revolver, it yielded the signature anthem “Bloodlust,” which clocked over 2.6 million views and nearly 2 million streams. In 2016, they reached another level with Isolation, earning acclaim from outlets such as New Noise Magazine and generating millions of views between “Dragon” and “Disconnect.” The fourth full-length album, Geist, released in 2018, would push The Browning even further into the boundaries of heavy music with added deathcore and techno influences. End Of Existence released in 2021 would go on to receive generally positive reviews with Dom Lawson of Blabbermouth.net saying, “As ever, if the idea of metal mixed with EDM gives you violent facial tics and a sense of impending doom, End of Existence makes no attempt to make amends or win you over. And nor should it. The Browning have spent a decade pursuing an eccentric and polarizing path, and they still sound like a flash of inspiration brought to life.”

The Browning officially signed to FiXT in late 2023, after collaborating with the label for several years, creating two official remixes for Celldweller and signing a merchandise deal. The band has since released three well received singles with the FiXT. “Poison” which scored placements on Pandora’s AMP: Fresh Cuts, Industrial Metal, New Metal, This year In Metal, New Metal Now; Spotify’s All New Metal,, as well as featured on the WWE. The single currently sits on over 1.5 million streams alone on Spotify since its release. “HIVEMIND” would go on to score placements on Spotify’s All New Metal, New Flesh (Knotfest), and The Core, as well as VEVO’s Incoming Metal. “Deceiver” hit Pandora’s New Metal Now, New Metal (Station), This Year In Metal; Deezer’s Killed By Metal, Deathcore, and Metal Radar, and; Spotify’s All New Metal. Their sixth full length album OMNI is set to hit the airwaves in November 2024

Jonny McBee, vocalist, and songwriter for The Browning, is a trailblazing presence in the metal scene. He is also known for his role as the host and operator of the “Burn This World Podcast,” which is set to make its triumphant return this Fall. He also streams in The Browning Discord channel with fans tuning in to watch his creative process. Jonny is set to embark on a parallel journey, launching a groundbreaking new side project: The Defect.

Hardcore Keem, the band’s guitarist, brings his unique vision and sound to The Browning. Originally just a fan of the band, he officially joined The Browning on tour in 2022, now becoming a staple for the band’s future and marketing. Besides being in the band, he’s also a heavy music influencer and promoter with over 300K in social reach, including 100K+ followers on Instagram alone, and runs his own podcast, The Hardcore Keem Show.

YESTERDAZE Unleash Debut Album “Sentences” + Release Video for ‘Disconnected (This Con Acted)’

Two years after the release of the hard-hitting EP Act-U-All, YESTERDAZE are ready to release their first full-length album, Sentences. An unforgiving, raw album filled to the brim with energetic and unapologetic rock.

Sentences is an album built by contrasts. Emotionally deep messages are conveyed through large melodic soundscapes, driven forward by playful guitar riffs, sweet bass lines and explosive drums. By playing on these emotional and musical contrasts found on the album vocalist Armann truly manages to exhibit his unique vocal range.

Listen to the album here: https://ffm.to/sentencesyd

Armann: “In regard to the lyrics, I found a lot of inspiration from my upbringing and from past love affairs, both of which have been filled with hardship. But it’s also a part of my past that have shaped who I am. Sentences is my way of putting the past behind me and aiming for the future. As for the song writing, I would say we look to bands like Biffy Clyro and try to combine their melodic range with IDLES’s unapologetic presence and raw energy.”

The result is emotionally loaded music made accessible.

Their music is created as a way to release pent-up aggression, and help relieve people of the heaviness of anger, sadness, and solitude. Letting you know that you are not alone.

Since the release of their first EP, the band has seen a steady growth of fans, especially live, both home and abroad.

Yesterdaze: “We’ve learnt that our fan base is one, that like us, is keen to feel something real. They seem to share our passion for justice, kinship, and of being present in the moment.

We wanted this album to be for everyone, but we wrote it especially for those who have experienced betrayal in close relationships or by themselves. where the songs are meant to represent all the stages you go through in those moment. From the moment you realize the betrayal, until you have managed to put it behind you. It’s a journey through grief, despair, doubt and anger, spiced with a good dose of fuck-you attitude.”

Upping the number of live shows and touring more together has resulted in a more tight-knit band. Through new experiences and new inspirations, this makes Sentences a more mature and uncompromising than the band’s first EP.

Yesterdaze: “The big difference between our EP and this album is that we’ve figured out who we want to be. We have settled in a relatively hard soundscape, but one that also allow us to play with softer tempo and compositions and where we can continue to surprise our listeners. We are a rock band but have learned to stretch the boundaries of what defines this even better.”

At its core, Sentences is an album about reaching for the future. Where you seek to learn from the situations you find yourself in, no matter how difficult life may be.
Even in your darkest hours, you can choose to confront yourself and your own feelings, and through this find new paths.

Armann: “I wasn’t sure what the album should be, or what to call it, until I wrote the lyrics for the last song, Sentenced to Shine. At that moment I realized that the album should be a self-examination, an analysis of what I have felt at my lowest and worst, but also highest and best”.

Musically, Sentences is a culmination of the band’s four members: Armann, Torje, Lars and Øyvind. They all come from very different places in rock, and you can hear clear references in everything from pop to metal in the music. Perhaps with particular emphasis on punk and alternative rock.

It’s all a wonderful and broad mix of the best rock has to offer, an album packed with well-written songs that hook you in from the first listen.

Sentences will be released on 8 November 2024. In autumn 2024, Yesterdaze will embark on their biggest Norwegian tour to date with 12 dates. At the same time, they have also started to see interest in countries such as Denmark, Great Britain and Germany.

And this power pack of a band is not stopping there, in addition to getting ready for both their debut album and tour, the band has also started writing new music.

As the band themselves say: “Yesterdaze is a machine! With Sentences we have started the engine and we are not going to stop any time soon. We will keep playing live and stay uncompromising both in our songwriting and in our performances.
Through this we will continue to reach out for our people, the ones who seek to experience the full range of emotions and shake them loose with us.”

About Yesterdaze:
Yesterdaze are self proclaimed punch-rock pioneers who seamlessly weave together a sound that is both fresh and familiar, and leaves you with a black eye from the live pit and in your soul. Their music is a fusion of catchy melodies, relentless riffs, and lyrics that resonate with the complexities of life.

With influences ranging from rock giants like Foo Fighters, Queens of the Stone Age, and Biffy Clyro, to the uncompromising spirit of IDLES, Yesterdaze crafts a sonic experience which is impossible to not like.

The young and dynamic rock band signed with the renowned Norwegian rock and metal label Indie Recordings in 2021 before they released their debut EP “Act U All” late 2022.

Yesterdaze have become known for their captivating concerts, paving their way through Norway’s various venues and stages, opening for acts like De Staat. The band’s singles “Don’t Bother” and “Know No Better” quickly gained over 100.000 views on YouTube, and their last single “F.M.K.” gave the band a boost in SoMe.

As Yesterdaze now gears up for a new era in their musical journey, their story unfolds with every riff, lyric, and electrifying performance. Their debut album is set to release on October 25th of 2024. Keep an eye on them as they continue to punch their path through the rock landscape, promising an exhilarating ride for fans old and new alike.

FLORENCE BESCH Releases Bold New Album “Gathering Hearts”

German artist Florence Besch unveils Gathering Hearts, a new album that merges gritty punk energy with soft, introspective pop. Known for her ability to craft soundscapes that are as tender as they are powerful, Besch has carved out a distinct genre, “Dream Grunge,” which channels the raw, uncompromising spirit of 90s icons like PJ Harvey, Hole, and Nirvana. The album’s release marks a significant step in Besch’s musical evolution, creating an atmosphere that defies expectations and immerses listeners in an experience of self-discovery and community.

Besch’s voice, emotional and raw, floats between vulnerability and defiance, creating dynamic shifts that echo through each track. Her vocals sit atop menacing soundscapes, bright riffs, and rhythmic shifts, reflecting a delicate balance of strength and fragility. Describing her evolution from solo artist to band leader, Besch says, “Gathering Hearts was inspired by the live show experiences with my band. It’s so much fun to create walls of sound together; it builds a beautiful sense of community in the band and the audience. This experience has certainly influenced my writing for this album.”

Gathering Hearts tackle’s themes of love, loneliness, and defiance. In “Nightsong,” the album opens with ethereal guitars as Besch sings, “You’re only free when you’re lonely. Left behind, like the stars in the sky.” With lyrics that explore intense personal battles and universal struggles, Besch’s work is a direct reflection of her own journey through darker moments. “The topics wander between the darkest corners of our thoughts, responses to violence, and the celebration of life and love in all forms,” she says. “It’s about giving up, dreaming, longing, hoping, daring – all of it reflects life as I see it.”

PARAGON Celebrate Record Release Day with New Music Video for Album Title Track ‘Metalation’

Hamburg, Germany-based heavy metal titans PARAGON are celebrating the release of their much-awaited, new studio album “Metalation”, that is out now on Massacre Records! To order your copy of this must-have heavy metal gem, visit: https://lnk.to/metalation

A music video for the album title track is now premiering below. The song “is about the ‘sickness’ of being a metalhead. How we become fanatics of this music and how it rules our lives through the decades until now. It’s driving us onward – now and forever.” The band comments.

“Killer riffing by Martin Christian, loads of lead guitars, a majestic acoustic middle part with an emotional lead by Jan Bertram. This is how heavy metal should be played, and our tribute to our true believe in this music and the eternal gods of heavy metal!”

According to PARAGON‘s Jan Bünning, their new album “Metalation” was one of the most difficult albums to make, as the band almost broke up in the time between the release of the band’s previous album “Controlled Demolition” and the present day.

Bünning and Martin Christian started working on new song ideas in the winter of 2019 and then the pandemic rocked the world and brought the majority of band activities – ranging from live gigs to rehearsals – to a halt. But still, both continued writing new songs and in the end of a long process, nine songs were ready to be recorded for “Metalation” and the first vocal demos were recorded last year. For this album, PARAGON decided to record the guitars, bass and drums on their own.

Whereas “Controlled Demolition” was a very hard and fast offering, PARAGON weren’t keen to repeat this pattern once again and instead decided for the new album to make it sound a little more melodic and versatile, just like in their old days. “Metalation” was produced with Piet Sielck, who also mixed and mastered the album.

Due to the tensions connected with the pandemic and ockdowns, guitarist Günny left the band in the late summer of 2022 and so did his replacement as well as drummer Sören, who left the band for personal reasons. The remaining band members toyed with the idea to release one final album and to play some farewell shows with Martin on guitar and his son Jason Wöbcke on drums, and then to disband PARAGON. Sometime after Easter 2023, though, Jason joined PARAGON permanently on drums and Martin decided to stay as well.

The band’s chemistry is better than ever, so it’s no surprise that everyone is very satisfied with how the new album turned. PARAGON simply can’t wait for everyone to listen to the new album and they are eager to hit the stages again! Order “Metalation” now at: https://lnk.to/metalation

LAB Frontwoman Ana’s new Dark Rock Band GRAVEYARD ANGEL Release Debut Single ‘Apathy’

Graveyard Angel, a new Finnish dark-rock duo released their debut single “Apathy” on November 8th 2024 via Inverse Records.

While the video has been made with the help of AI, the music has been created in the traditional way. Mika “Alde” Ahlqvist – or rather his alter ego “Ground” has written the song and played all the instruments. He has also done all programming. “My responsibilities have been the lyrics, vocals and backing vocals” says Ana, who is already known to some from her other band “LAB“.

LISTEN Apathy on streaming services: https://push.fm/fl/graveyard-angel-apathy

  • Composed by Mika Ahlqvist
  • Lyrics by Ana Anna Leppälä
  • Arranged and produced by Mika Ahlqvist and Ana Anna Leppälä
  • Mixed & mastered by Pekka “Splendid” Laine at East Sound Studios (Finland)
  • Single cover: Ana Anna Leppälä
  • Cover layout: Mika Ahlqvist

“We are not gloomy personalities, but for some reason we share a taste for a bit darker and harder music. Rough and punchy riffs combined with disturbed stories is what makes us tick. This pretty much defines the music style of Graveyard Angel: dark, tough and delightfully disturbed.”

“We are very interested in AI as a tool for creating visual material. Ari Kuoppa-Aho made our video using AI tools. We did not know much about visual AI, so it was extremely interesting to follow the making of the video and to see it gradually come to life. We are stunned about how cool the video turned out. So, the video is made by a human using AI tools. One could call it a HIAI video; human intelligence and artificial intelligence combined.”

“I am shamelessly happy and proud of this single. When one does one’s best, one sometimes succeeds”, Ana says. Her long and blond hair is messy in a relaxed way and she looks as pleased as a cat by a lake of cream.

On the 10th of October Graveyard Angel was signed to Inverse Records. “We sent a link to our Apathy video to Inverse Records. Less than 24 hours later we made the deal with them. Sometimes things just go surprisingly smoothly”, Ana says, smiling.

Line-up:
Ana Anna Leppälä – Vocals
Mika “Alde” Ahlqvist: guitars, bass, synths, programming
