Remmel is known as the vocalist and guitarist of the Finnish newgrass band Steve’n’Seagulls. Now he is also the songwriter and the frontman of Remmel & Rattlesnakes.

Remmel & Rattlesnakes is a Finnish band and a music collective formed by Steve’n’Seagulls vocalist and guitarist Tomi Tajakka also known as Remmel. It all started in 2025. Remmel had a bunch of songs he wanted to release. He asked producer, musician and a recording engineer Jarkko Viinamäki to join and Remmel & Rattlesnakes was born. After two singles – Traveling Rodeo (February 2026) and Days And Times (March 2026) – the debut EP Little Western Songs From The North is released today on the 24th of April.

What started as a solo project soon turned into a music collective as Remmel asked some of his friends to join the gang. Esa Starck (drums) and Jarkko Viinamäki (bass, keys and guitar) formed the core with Remmel (guitar, vocals, mandolin, keys). The Additional musicians on the debut EP are Antti Vuorenmaa (pedal steel guitar) on two tracks and Tomi Riipinen (guitar solo) on one.

“I was fascinated with the idea that we could have different musicians on the tracks. Kind of whatever the song would need to have. Probably the best thing with this music collective is that we’ve all known each other for a long time. Recording music with friends is what it’s all about,” Remmel tells about the birth of the EP and continues:

“For me music is and always will be a thing of passion. I love to listen to albums, read books about music and go see bands. I hope my passion for different types of music can be heard on Remmel & Rattlesnakes songs. At least I feel there are flavours of Neil Young there – my all time favourite.”

Touring around the world with Steve’n’Seagulls has given Remmel a lot of fuel and ideas for different kinds of songs. Some were born a while ago and some came together quite close to the recording sessions. Even though the EP has just came out, Remmel and Viinamäki have already been in the studio to record new songs. Somewhat different music this time. So the story of Remmel & Rattlesnakes goes on.

“And without borders or genre limitations. That’s one thing I truly love with this collective. We can do all types of stuff and just focus on the main thing – making music. Steve’n’Seagulls is the main thing for me but Remmel & Rattlesnakes will remain as my other output for the music,” Remmel describes the future plans for the collective.

Oslo-based hard rock outfit THE CRUEL INTENTIONS are back with their explosive new single “All Hail Hypocrisy”, April 24. The song is also the title track from their upcoming third album, set for release on May 29.

“All Hail Hypocrisy” is a defiant statement against manipulation, double standards, and the culture of playing the victim. Fueled by frustration with fake people and twisted narratives, the track captures the moment when patience runs out and there’s nothing left but calling it as it is. It’s loud, unapologetic, and driven by a refusal to play along with the game.

Listen to the single HERE

With their upcoming album All Hail Hypocrisy, the band steps into a new chapter. The record showcases a raw and unfiltered attitude, packed with playful riffs, relentless energy, and a distinct sense of identity. It marks their most ambitious and fully realized work to date, pushing both their songwriting and sonic intensity further than ever before.

ABOUT THE CRUEL INTENTIONS
The last couple of years have seen explosive growth in The Cruel Intentions’ popularity. Heavy touring, energetic live shows, paired with the release of critically acclaimed music and major placements in popular series, have seen the band grow into a favorite with fans and media alike.

Their rise hasn’t gone unnoticed. With over 13 million Spotify streams, 247K monthly listeners, 413K fans in 173 countries, and 2.2+ million YouTube views, the band’s footprint is unmistakable.

Their songs “Jawbreaker,” “Sick Adrenaline,” “Borderline Crazy,” “Reapercussion,” and “Reckoning” are all heavily featured across seasons 1 and 2 of the HBO/DC Comics hit “Peacemaker”, earning them worldwide exposure and public praise from the show’s director and DC Studios co-CEO James Gunn, who openly calls The Cruel Intentions one of his favorite bands.

The band’s momentum has taken them across Europe, the UK, Australia, and the US, including major festivals such as Sweden Rock Festival, Tons of Rock, Summer Breeze, Monsters of Rock Cruise (x2) and The Mountain Festival (US). Their name has graced the pages of Rolling Stone, Billboard, Classic Rock Magazine, and countless rock radios and webzines.

THE DOGS Return with Second Single of 2026 ‘Close Is Just Another Name for Nothing’

Oslo rock outfit THE DOGS return with their second single of 2026, “Close Is Just Another Name for Nothing”. Following their first release earlier this year, the band continues to lean into their signature mix of sharp-edged attitude, dark humor, and uncomfortable honesty.

Listen to the single here: https://ffm.to/closeisjust

We asked Kristopher Schau to say a few words about what the song was about, and unfortunately received only this rather uncooperative response:

“No.”

We then asked him to elaborate on why he didn’t want to say anything about the song’s content, and got this in return:

“Because I’m not a child.”

When asked what that had to do with anything, he dismissed it with:

“A child often thinks it’s strategically smart to over-explain their song in an attempt to get played on P3. Since everyone else is doing it, because they’ve heard it’s good ‘content’ to show they’re in touch with their ‘feelings’ and might therefore be a good interview subject because they’re so ‘human’ and ‘relatable,’ the child feels like they have to do the same. I’m 55 years old, my hearing is going, and I’m at the age where there are always piss stains at the front of my underwear. I don’t want to be on P3, so no.”

Indie would like to apologize for the bad vibes, and has taken steps to ensure a new single will be released in a month to wash away whatever this was.

ABOUT
The Dogs are the Oslo-based band where only one member is actually from Oslo.

A punk rock band that believes they play soul and garage rock. In short, a band that has no idea who they are or what they’re doing. This confusion has however resulted in a total of 12 albums, countless Norwegian tours, unusual one-off events such as opening for Bruce Springsteen, and musical contributions to the new Harry Hole series on Netflix. In other words, they are well prepared for the Alzheimer’s they all have coming.

Confusingly enough, all signs are still pointing upward for the “Oslo band” in the autumn of their lives.

THE DOGS:
Vocals – Kristopher Schau
Guitar – Mads Martinsen
Bass – Tommy Reite
Drums – Henrik Odde Gustavsen
Percussion – Kenneth Simonsen
Keys – Stefan Höglin

SIXGUN RENEGADES’ Fourth Album “Slave To The Grid” Out Now

Finnish hard rock juggernauts SIXGUN RENEGADES return from a hiatus with their 4th album Slave To The Grid, released on Friday April 24th! Shaped by internal challenges within the band, the songwriting process has given birth to an album that promises to be the most personal, bold, and powerful output of the band’s career so far, offering a depth not previously heard from the group.

As longtime bassist Miko Mattila (2013–2025) steps aside, the Helsinki–based Sixgun Renegades introduce a new member with this release: bassist Tuomas “Topo” Koskipää, replacing Mattila. Formed in 2008, the band draws its influences from the cornerstones of stadium rock, with Thin Lizzy, Van Halen, Judas Priest and Dokken at the forefront. Three years of hard work and love for music come together on the upcoming fourth album. The band’s signature sound, soaring vocal melodies, strong riffs, and powerful rhythms are more present than ever, and the songs sound better than they ever have before.

Slave To The Grid is the most diverse and strongest album of our career to date, an album that combines composition and production in a way that we will be proud of for the rest of our lives. However, the making of the album was not without challenges and we also had to make painful

decisions to secure the future continuity of the band. In some ways, this album also feels like a crossroad for us, and the lyrics of the songs on the album deal with the difficulty of letting go and finding your own direction.
