BANGALORE CHOIR Release Their Version of ‘Prisoner’, Which David Reece Recorded with ACCEPT

Bangalore Choir have released their new album RAPID FIRE SUCCESSION: On Target Part II on BraveWords Records. MetalTalk describes the new album, “Revives the spirit on ‘92, grunge be damned.” The single PRISONER was originally recorded by David Reece for the ACCEPT album EAT THE HEAT. ACCEPT are celebrating their 50th Anniversary in 2026. This version of PRISONER features Giles Lavery on background vocals. Giles Lavery is the lead vocalist for both ALCATRAZZ and WARLORD.

David Reece has long and complicated relationship with “PRISONER,” originally recorded during his time fronting ACCEPT for the 1989 album Eat the Heat. In a 2024 interview, Reece singled out “PRISONER” as his favorite track from the album, praising its lyrical story and Wolf Hoffmann’s classical-influenced orchestration, while acknowledging the song’s more commercial direction. When the opportunity later arose to revisit the track with Bangalore Choir for Rapid Fire Succession: On Target Part II, Reece saw a chance to approach “PRISONER” differently. Speaking with Sleaze Roxx, he explained that the new recording strips away the keyboards and gives the song a heavier, more guitar-driven sound—bringing it closer to what he feels the song should have sounded like originally.

The album features three singles that hit #1 on the 97Underground.com radio and landed on 15 Top Albums of 2025 Lists.

David Reece speaking about all the radio success for his BraveWords Records album, “I have had more radio on this release than I’ve had in years and I thank you for that, great work it’s honestly been the best promotion I’ve had in years.”

About DAVID REECE:
American singer David Reece first came to international prominence in the hard rock community joining Accept in 1987, replacing the iconic Udo Dirkschneider. With Accept he released the “Eat The Heat” album in 1989, a record that while somewhat divisive within Accepts more die-hard European fanbase, has no shortage of acclaim in equal measure from the wider hard rock and AOR community. David’s voice was a perfect fit for both the more streamlined American heavy rock direction the band wanted to pursue at the time and the Heavy Metal stylings that are still found in great abundance on the record. Thus, songs like Generation Clash and XTC fast became staples of late 80’s rock radio and fan favorites to the present day.

After departing Accept in 1990 David wasted no time in forming Bangalore Choir, a band that would showcase his immense vocal talents combined with first rate songwriting. Released via Giant Records in 1992, the bands debut album “On Target” has become an album held dear to lovers of melodic heavy rock the world over. Timing being everything, sadly the change of radio programming toward the then emerging Grunge movement halted a very promising young band from making the global impact it very well might have had if the album had arrived some years earlier.

David has gone on since to front many bands such as Bonfire, Wicked Sensation, EZ Livin’ and more recently Iron Allies, but he has always felt there was unfinished business with Bangalore Choir, revisiting the project with the occasional release….which brings us right up to date, the latest Bangalore Choir album … Its title a guarded secret at this stage. Needless to say, if you wanted more of what you loved about “On Target” this one will truly hit the mark.

AIRBOURNE’s JOEL O’KEEFFE Talks about BRYAN ADAMS & MUTT LANGE Collab Off New Album

The Metal Voice recently interviewed Airbourne‘s Singer Guitarist Joel O’ Keeffe in regards to the bands up and coming studio album which will be released on Sept 4, 2026 via Spinefarm.

Excerpts from interview

When asked how many songs did Brian Adams and Mutt Lange co-write on your album?

“There was two songs, ‘Rhythm in You’ and ‘Here She Comes’. We sent them the music and then they sent it back and they changed a few of the arrangements and then, we started getting into the lyrics. They (Adams and Lange) had some really great ideas and it was just kind of how it flowed. Bryan was on the road so we had to go back and forth online, but um he was always checking in straight away and he would say like, “Guys, we can do better, guys. we could do better.  When we get him and he would listen to it and say, “Yeah, no, that’s it. You’ve got it. That’s it. Put that one to bed now. Let’s get on to the next one.” He’s just a machine. He puts his heart and soul into it. I  remember he was on the FaceTime. He just sort of closed his eyes and he said, “I always do my best. I always do my best.” And he went into a place and I just never forgot when he did it. It was just really inspiring. It’s like he really does care so much and he he didn’t have they didn’t have to give us their time (Adams and Lange) or their talents or any of this but they did it and they just were just like wow. Like we’re just some Aussie rock and roll band you know we’re working with the biggest guns in the world here. “

When asked how Bryan Adams was contacted

“Dante our A and R guy and  inspirationist and label coach and all of these things that Dante is was. He was also the editor at Kerrang and a bunch of other things. He knew Bryan personally.  So he reached out to him and said, “Hey, you know, I got this band doing this record.  there Airbourne and Brian’s like, “Oh yeah, I know of them, and he said, “Would you like to get involved?” Yeah, you know, that sounds exciting. Send me some music. So, we sent him some music and then and then bang, we’re off to the races. It was that quick. “

Australian rockers Airbourne have never been ones to think small. But on their self-titled sixth studio album, they’ve outdone themselves. “We wanted to make an iconic record – an album that is gargantuan,” grins vocalist-guitarist Joel O’Keeffe. “This is blockbuster shit.”

He’s not lying. Determined to make an album that drummer Ryan O’Keeffe says “has the best elements of rock’n’roll that we love in one record”, the Melbourne four-piece – completed by bassist Justin Street and guitarist Brett Tyrrell – went over the top with its sound, the quality of the songs, their attention to detail, the festival-ready singalongs and, yes, the size of the budget. “We said, this is it,” nods Ryan. “Let’s make the oracle. And if we’re going to do it, no corner can be cut. Because if you cut a corner, you’re not going to pull it off.”

Reuniting with the powerhouse production team of Brian Howes (who produced 2013’s Black Dog Barking) and engineer Mike Fraser (who worked on 2016’s Breakin’ Outta Hell and 2010’s No Guts. No Glory.), the band knuckled down at Music Farm Studio in “the jungle” outside Byron Bay. The complex boasts the original Neve console from Alberts Studios, on which bands like AC/DC, Rose Tattoo and The Angels recorded their landmark early albums. It’s also home to Malcolm Young’s eight-track Neve, which too was recruited for the sessions. There the four-piece battled venomous snakes, deadly spiders, near cyclonic storms and the foibles of vintage analogue equipment (the band insisted on recording to tape) in their quest to create what Joel says is “the best record we’ve ever made”. (Some additional recording also took place at Melbourne’s Hothouse Studios.)

“Airbourne” track listing:
01. Gutsy
02. Alive After Death (Last Plane Out)
03. Here She Comes
04. Kid In A Candy Store
05. Sky High
06. Who Put The Rhythm In You?
07. Christmas Bonus
08. Last Man Standing
09. Rock ‘N’ Roll Ya

CELLDWELLER Releases First Single ‘Never a Thief’ from “Thief: Pulse Of Promise” Soundtrack

Posted by tarjavirmakari on August 21, 2026

The acclaimed musician Celldweller – whose music has been featured in numerous major films, TV shows, video games, and trailers, including Blade Runner 2049, Westworld, Deadpool 2, Call of Duty: Elite, Assassin’s Creed, and more – is recording the official soundtrack for the highly anticipated Thief: Pulse of Promise graphic novel, coming soon from Bit Bot. The Thief: Pulse of Promise Official Soundtrack will feature 12+ original songs inspired by the games’ iconic soundtracks and featuring all-new performances from legendary Garrett voice actor Stephen Russell. Ahead of the Backerkit campaign for the graphic novel, FiXT is revealing the first track from the soundtrack, “Never a Thief” and an accompanying lyric video. Fans can purchase and stream “Never a Thief” now.

“I was thrilled to get the opportunity to work in the world of Thief,” said Celldweller. “It’s pretty much the quintessential stealth game franchise, and anyone who plays these kinds of games knows how important audio is to the experience. When you’re Garrett, hiding in the shadows, listening for footsteps and trying to avoid a patrol, sound and music are a huge part of what creates that tension. I had a lot of fun digging into the sonic DNA of the original games and figuring out how to pay tribute to what made them sound so unique, while bringing some of those ideas into 2026 with a modern Celldweller spin. The goal was to make something that felt like it belonged in the world of Thief, but still had my fingerprints all over it.”

The officially licensed Thief: Pulse of Promise will bridge the gap between the trailblazing games Thief: The Dark Project and Thief II: The Metal Age. Written by Joshua Viola (Legacy of Kain, The Rocky Horror Show) and Sean Eads (Terror in the Corn, Lord Byron’s Prophecy), with interior art by Emanuele Ercolani (Masters of the Universe, ThunderCats) and Gianluca Papi (Mirka Andolfo’s Mercy, Unnatural) and letters by Jeremiah Lambert (Transformers), Thief: Pulse of Promise follows master thief Garrett as a seemingly straightforward heist draws him into forgotten Keeper secrets, strange powers hidden beneath the City, and a mysterious young boy whose fate may shape the future. Featuring appearances by fan-favorites such as Artemus and Father Karras, this all-new adventure bridges a pivotal chapter in Garrett’s life leading to The Metal Age.

Originally released in 1998 by Looking Glass Studios, Thief: The Dark Project helped define the stealth genre through its groundbreaking blend of first-person infiltration, emergent gameplay, and immersive worldbuilding. The recently announced Thief: The Dark Project Remastered from Nightdive Studios, Eidos-Montréal and Atari marks a modern revival of the classic title, scheduled for release this Winter on consoles and PC.

Limited collectible vinyl and CD with art by Emanuele Ercolani of the Thief: Pulse of Promise Official Soundtrack will be available as part of the campaign, with the album releasing digitally at a later date. Fans can sign up on the BackerKit pre-launch page to receive an email when the Thief: Pulse of Promise campaign launches. BEES MADE HONEY IN THE VEIN TREE Reveal Music Video for ‘Clutching at Straws’

Posted by tarjavirmakari on August 21, 2026
Posted in: Int. News, News. Tagged: BEES MADE HONEY IN THE VEIN TREE. Leave a comment

BEES MADE HONEY IN THE VEIN TREE reveal the music video ‘Clutching at Straws‘ – and it is their very own sizzling song and not a cover of the MARILLION classic. This track has been selected as an advance single from the German shoegaze rockers‘ upcoming fourth album “In Between Strides“, which is scheduled for release on September 18, 2026, via Magnetic Eye Records.
Pre-orders are available HERE

BEES MADE HONEY comment: “I wrote the main riffs for ‘Clutching at Straws’ on acoustic guitar while composing another of my own songs“, frontman Simon Weinrich writes. “When we hit a creative slump, I simply suggested playing those riffs during a band rehearsal. Once effects were added, they immediately took on a different energy. Lyrically, this song revolves around a restless and exhausting journey that expresses an inner restlessness and sense of being driven. It’s certainly a state of mind that we are all familiar with at times.“

Tracklist:
1. Departure
2. Respite
3. Clutching at Straws
4. Elisa
5. Return, Precipice

When German four-piece BEES MADE HONEY IN THE VEIN TREE began to find their bearings on where to go next from the success of their previous full-length, “Aion” (2023), the core idea for the fourth album, “In Between Strides”, was to take a more melodic approach. All else, they would leave to the creative process and somewhat to chance.

Recording one song at a time without knowing what the next would sound like, the track ‘Elisa’ was the first step forward and became the binding link between the previous and new albums. ‘Elisa’ came into being as a jam captured on the last day of recording during the “Aion” sessions, which was later heavily condensed and augmented with added instrumentation to create more structure and depth.

BEES MADE HONEY recorded every other song on “In Between Strides” in various settings that were available to them at the time of creation: a cavernous cellar, a concert stage, an indoor balcony, a living room, their rehearsal space, even returning to the studio where their first album “Medicine” was tracked.

Through this spontaneous and shifting approach, BEES MADE HONEY began to move texturally and stylistically from ambient and drone toward shoegaze along with more acoustic elements. According to their original plan, “In Between Strides” stepped into more melodic territory, with each song representing a different aspect of the band’s musical vocabulary.

Lyrically, “In Between Strides” portrays a journey of uncertain outcomes, a departure, and a search for something not yet defined. Although this mirrors the experience of BEES MADE HONEY in finding new creative paths and ways of expression, the lyrics paint a broader picture that is not limited to the German’s personal experiences or life-circumstances.

BEES MADE HONEY IN THE VEIN TREE originate from the Swabian capital and German city of Stuttgart. All four members grew up together, eventually forming the band in 2014. Their musical template of ambient psychedelic doom was established with the debut album “Medicine” in 2017, and their sound has continued to evolve ever since.

With their sophomore full-length “Grandmother” (2019), their sonic scope expanded through lower tunings, densely layered effects, faster passages, and harsher vocals. The Swabians began performing live, both at home and abroad, in front of continuously growing audiences. This development physically manifested in the recording and release of “Harvestmen (live)” in 2022.

BEES MADE HONEY took a leap forward with third full-length “Aion”, which was widely praised by audiences and critics alike. This album features spacious, dynamic compositions that move from drifting tranquility to raging power in a constant tidal movement of spaced-out guitars, pounding basslines, and dripping drum fills.

While “Aion” easily transcended BEES MADE HONEY‘s psychedelic doom label into something deeper and more resonant, “In Between Strides” roams faster and further.

With “In Between Strides”, BEES MADE HONEY have turned rage into reflection by developing a more organic and spontaneous approach to their songs, opening up wide spaces and letting the melodies flow freely. This musical honey tastes simply delicious.
