Prepare to be blown away by My Own Abyss – a metalcore force that seamlessly blends heavy, massive breakdowns with infectious, melodic choruses, forging a modern sound that marries classic metalcore with electrifying freshness.

Hailing from Krakow, Poland, this 4-piece powerhouse burst onto the scene in late 2018 with the release of their debut album, “Abyss EP“, followed by their metalcore renditions of pop hits: “Sweet But Psycho” in 2019 and “Flowers” in 2023. They continued to make waves with their latest singles released in 2023: “Let’s Go W!LD“, “The First Nail” and “Without Control“, marking a significant moment in their musical journey. Now, they’re back with their newest EP, “Dead End“.

The stage is their battleground, and My Own Abyss has shared it with mighty acts such as Paledusk, Space of Variations, The Materia, The Sixpounder, Virgin Snatch, and many more, leaving audiences electrified in their homeland and neighboring countries.

Fueling their ambitions, My Own Abyss is set to ignite stages once again. Armed with their latest EP, “Dead End“, the band’s poised to embark on a monumental journey with their two-part Dead End Tour, commencing on April 19th and culminating in December this year. Music for new EP was produced and mixed by Matt Thomas, and mastered by Joel Wanasek at JTW Recording (Carnation, Machine Head, Dååth). Cover artwork was designed by Woeismel and edited by Mikołaj Mędrala. Band comments their the newest release: “Dead End delves into deep experiences of extreme emotions. It tells the story of an internal conflict between the mind and the heart, which sprouted within a man due to being in a toxic environment. The pressure from the surroundings, imposing their corrupted norms, leads the protagonist to uncontrollable actions, intended to bring peace and relief. However, the outcome proves to be contrary – his actions only amplify the negative emotions within him, leaving him alone with his demons at the end of the day.“

SILVERA to Release New Album “World Behind Doors” on August 23rd

Coming from the same country that offered Volbeat and D-A-D to the world, SILVERA stands for hard rock with a modern twist and timeless melodies. More than taking the legacy of Denmarks’s rock and metal music, the nordic four-piece started building their own history in 2020 with “Edge Of The World”, the debut album that put them on the map of all modern hard rock lovers. Songs such as “Generation Z” and “Light In Life” immediately took off in streaming services, gathering more than one million hits each and starting the anticipation for Silvera’s sophomore album right there. 

Enter “World Behind Doors”. On their second album, Silvera endeavored to maintain the core elements of their own sound while also expanding the horizons. This led the four-piece to experiment with new techniques, such as incorporating harsh vocals into one of the songs and composing three new tracks in the studio. This departure from their previous approach, where the foundational elements of songs were typically established prior to entering the studio, allowed for a fresh creative process. The result: an even fresher set of songs, taking the best elements of metal rock and everything in between and putting them together to create songs that really stand out. 

“World Behind Doors” will be released on LP (yellow vinyl, limited to 100 copies), digipack CD and digital formats on August 23rd, 2024 via Mighty Music. Pre-orders are available here.

Once again, all the music was meticulously recorded at Hansen Studios, with Jacob Hansen (Anette Olzon, Arch Enemy, Delain, Epica) playing a pivotal role in preserving the essence of the Silvera sound. His guidance in discerning which elements of the songs to emphasize proved invaluable, and his dedication truly shone through in the final product. Additionally, the vocals were expertly recorded at Martin Buus’ studio, where Martin’s skillful production not only enhanced Michael Krogh’s vocal range but also fostered a seamless collaboration between them. The synergy between Martin and Michael exceeded any expectations, resulting in an album that surpassed the band’s initial vision. 

On this album, akin to their first release, Silvera are thrilled to feature collaborations, this time with Dreamshade and Guarnica Mancini from The Gems / Thundermother, all of whom delivered exceptional performances. Their deep understanding of the band’s vision for the songs resulted in interpretations that, once again here, surpassed any expectations.

W.A.S.P. to Perform Entire Debut Album from Start to Finish, on 2024 Album ONE Alive World Tour

“Album ONE Alive!”, the title of W.A.S.P.’s upcoming North American Tour. August 17, 2024, marks the 40th anniversary of the release of W.A.S.P.’s first album. To celebrate this classic metal album, W.A.S.P. will, for the first time in 40 years, play the entire album from top to bottom, start to finish, on their North American tour this fall.

Formed in 1982, W.A.S.P. is set to bring this universally acclaimed “classic” album to life. Lead vocalist Blackie Lawless says, “It was an angry record made by an angry band. It was a record that not only reflected the attitude of the band members who made it, but also a record that reflected its time.” This record became a central piece of the 80s metal scene and remains one of the best metal debut albums of all time.

Along with bassist Mike Duda and lead guitarist Doug Blair, whose tenures in the band are 29 and 26 years respectively, W.A.S.P. is joined by long-time drummer extraordinaire Aquiles Priester.

Lawless and company will deliver the ultimate incredible spectacle, bringing W.A.S.P.’s most colorful history to life by performing this revered album in its entirety… ONE more time… ONE last time… Album ONE Alive!

BODY COUNT Drop Chilling Single ‘Psychopath’ Feat. Joe Bad

Body Count is back with Psychopath – their first new single since 2020’s Bum-Rush, which won a GRAMMY®Award for Best Metal Performance.

The explosive new track, which features Fit for An Autopsy vocalist Joe Bad , shows Ice-T and crew on maximum killing overdrive and primed for the next chapter of the legendary L.A.-based band’s 35+ year career. Longtime collaborator Will Putney (Knocked Loose, The Ghost Inside) produced the song.

Psychopath is from Body Count’s forthcoming album Merciless, the follow-up to Carnivore, which was released to critical acclaim in March 2020 –  just a week before COVID shut the entire world down. Upon the album’s release, NMEobserved,  “as long as there’s injustice, there’ll be a need for Ice T’s vital brand of hardcore.” REVOLVER marveled, “Death, controversy and changing times could have crushed them. Instead…they’re as strong as ever.”

For Body Count, it’s been a history of being both respected and feared – a barbed-wire thread that stretches back to the band’s origins as a project between Ice-T and Crenshaw High friend, Ernie C. Their first shot fired, the song, Body Count, was a mission statement on Ice-T’s 1991, O.G. – Original Gangster. That’s the blueprint they’ve been running on for 35+ years.

They touched a nerve with their first, self-titled 1991 album and its divisive track, Cop Killer, which inspired hatred, fear, and paranoia, but also inspired generations of bands to follow. What they took from growing up with Black Sabbath and being inspired by fellow L.A. legends like Slayer and Suicidal Tendencies has only upped the ante for generations of homies and hardcore fans.

Body Count’s current line-up includes surviving OG’s Ice, Ernie C. and Sean E Sean joined by bassist Vincent Price, drummer Will “Ill Will” Dorsey, Juan “Juan of the Dead” Garcia and backing vocalist Little Ice.
