Today, the acclaimed American hard rock band TESLA is proud to unveil their new single, “Never Alone,” taken from their upcoming album, ‘Homage,’ set for release on July 17, 2026, via Frontiers Music Srl. Marking a full-circle moment in their storied career, the album finds the band returning to their roots with a collection of covers honoring some of rock’s most timeless hits.

On the creation of the new original track, Brian Wheat shares:

“‘Never Alone’ is a new song that we wrote in the 11th hour of recording the album ‘Homage.’ It started out as a simple guitar riff. I was at my friends Rachael Ray and John Cusimano’s house filming an episode for her TV show, I had some time to kill so I went into their studio in the house, picked up John’s acoustic guitar and started strumming these chords to kill some time. When I listened back to it, it sounded like a TESLA song. I thought maybe it was gonna be a song for one of my other projects, but it sounded like TESLA. So I sent it to Jeff and he said it’s definitely TESLA. Out of that he came up with the title ‘Never Alone,’ we worked on it together writing the lyrics, the music, switching the chorus around a little bit and as a result, I think it turned out pretty good. I hope you enjoy it. This is our new song ‘Never Alone’ because we’re never alone.”

It is remarkable to reflect on the more than 40 years since TESLA began as a cover band performing in California nightclubs before going on to write and record original material and sell millions of albums.

Much like their musical heroes — The Beatles and The Rolling Stones—artists who honed their craft by performing songs from those who came before them, TESLA followed a similar path in their early years and continues to embrace the tradition of paying tribute through cover songs today.

‘Homage,’ the band’s upcoming album, not only honors legendary artists but also provides an opportunity to showcase lead singer Jeff Keith’s vocal diversity. The album stands as a thank-you expressed through music, an offering to the iconic voices and songs that shaped the band’s influences and, ultimately, their own songwriting.

‘Homage’ is not about imitation, but acknowledgment, tracing the line from influence to identity, from listening to becoming. The project also arrives more than 20 years after the ‘Real to Reel’ series, a release that helped inspire the creation of a new original TESLA song, “Never Alone.”

The selected songs on ‘Homage’ were chosen for a variety of reasons, primarily representing some of the greatest vocalists of all time, including Elvis Presley, Freddie Mercury, Sam Cooke, David Ruffin, Etta James, and James Brown. Additional selections reflect songs the band grew up hearing on the radio and on their turntables.

On the upcoming album, TESLA shares:

“Our new album ‘Homage’ is a thank-you note written in sound. An offering to the great singers and songs that shaped the music we grew up listening to, and the songs we would eventually write. We hope you all enjoy this as much as we did making it. Thank you for all the years – Keep it Real and Keep On Rockin’!”

EXTERMINATION DAY Unleash First Single & Video ‘Ruse Cycle’ from Upcoming Album

Following the recent announcement of their signing to Argonauta Records, Minneapolis, Minnesota’s EXTERMINATION DAY return with a brand new single and video, “Ruse Cycle”, offering the first taste of the band’s forthcoming album, currently in the works and slated for release at a later date.

Blending the crushing weight of Trouble and The Obsessed with the raw aggression of Poison Idea, the crossover attitude of Blind-era Corrosion of Conformity, and the unhinged spirit of Die Kreuzen, EXTERMINATION DAY continue to refine the distinctive sound they proudly call Hoss Rock.

Featuring current and former members of Suffering Hour, Satan’s Satyrs and Kult of the Wizard, the Minneapolis outfit has quickly established itself as one of the most uncompromising new voices in the American underground. Loud, confrontational, and fueled by equal parts grit and conviction, the band delivers heavy music that refuses to pull its punches.

With “Ruse Cycle”, EXTERMINATION DAY turn their attention toward the mechanisms of manipulation, division, and social control that increasingly shape modern life.

The band comments:

“Ruse Cycle is our take on the manipulation and manufactured erosion of the human spirit our government and media engages in. While people continue to engage in arguments over trivial things like who is and isn’t allowed to entertain us, the law and rights that are supposed to protect us are methodically being dismantled and increasingly hold little value. Our government is increasingly stifling free speech, using intimidation, and even busting down doors without warrants. Everything is presented to us in black and white terms, and it seems as if most media personalities are grifters monetizing human suffering. The ones in control curate culture wars to keep us all fighting each other so we don’t look upward at them.”

Musically, “Ruse Cycle” captures everything that makes EXTERMINATION DAY such a compelling force: thunderous riffs, punk-fueled urgency, doom-laden heaviness, and a fearless willingness to challenge convention. It is both a statement of intent and a powerful introduction to the next chapter of the band’s evolution.

More details about EXTERMINATION DAY’s forthcoming album will be revealed in the coming months through Argonauta Records.

French progressive heavy metal outfit CRYSTAL THRONE has unleashed their new single and lyric video “Children Of The Ruins”, offering the first glimpse into the band’s upcoming concept album “Chantry Of Sacrifice”, set for release on October 2, 2026.

Formed in 2019 in Metz, France, and drawing inspiration from acts such as Queensrÿche, Crimson Glory, Judas Priest, and Symphony X, CRYSTAL THRONE combine classic heavy metal foundations with progressive structures and a strong cinematic identity. Known for their futuristic visual universe, neon aesthetics, smoke effects, and laser-driven live performances, the band continues to carve out their own space within modern progressive heavy metal.

“Children Of The Ruins” introduces the narrative foundation of “Chantry Of Sacrifice”, CRYSTAL THRONE’s second full-length album and a fully developed science fiction concept record.

Set in the distant future of 5150, the album follows Hÿldr, a war veteran and scientific project leader who awakens to an unimaginable reality: Earth has mysteriously vanished, leaving her as the last human in the universe. Hÿldr is then entrusted with one final mission – to travel back in time, uncover the cause of Earth’s disappearance, and alter the course of history before it is too late.

As the band states: “The fierce attack of heavy metal meets the virtuosity of prog : Melodic and powerful, Crystal Throne takes no prisoner!“

  1. A Hero’s Call
  2. Children Of The Ruins
  3. Tides Of Ages
  4. Electrical Savior
  5. Walls Of Silent Mourn
  6. Antagonists

  8. Chantry Of Sacrifice

BRAND OF SACRIFICE Return with Explosive Double Single ‘Seeing Red’ & ‘This Place Wasn’t Meant For Us’

Canadian deathcore titans Brand of Sacrifice have returned with a devastating double single, ‘Seeing Red’ and ‘This Place Wasn’t Meant For Us’, marking the band’s first new music since late 2023 and the opening strike of a major new chapter. Arriving with the scale, precision, and emotional force that have made Brand Of Sacrifice one of heavy music’s most singular modern bands and serious contenders for the modern deathcore crown, the two tracks feel both newly sharpened and deeply connected to the sound, scale, and conviction that the band are known for.

Since their formation in 2018, Brand of Sacrifice have built a world around a lethal combination of force and feeling. Across every era, their sound has carried the feeling of standing at the edge of something enormous, where beauty, violence, grief, and transformation all collide in the same frame. With the two new tracks released today, Brand of Sacrifice reconnect with the atmosphere and emotion of early releases The Interstice, their 2019 debut EP, and their 2021 Billboard-charting, Juno-nominated sophomore album Lifeblood. The result is a continuation of the band’s formative instincts: visceral heaviness, cinematic unease and emotional immediacy, sharpened through the force and command of the band they have become.

’Seeing Red’, sees the band come out swinging with one of their most direct and overwhelmingly brutal tracks to date. Built for devastating impact, the track is arguably one of the heaviest in the band’s catalog but underneath the brutality is something more human. The track speaks to the desperate search for agency when everything feels unstable, turning the guttural chaos of the music into something listeners can connect to on an emotional level.

Its companion, ‘This Place Wasn’t Meant For Us’, leans into the band’s gift for atmosphere and tension. Hauntingly eerie, cinematic, and slow-burning before the earth finally gives way, the track pulls the listener deeper into the darker, moodier sonic world-building side of Brand of Sacrifice.

Speaking on the new singles, vocalist Kyle Anderson shares:

“Seeing Red” and “This Place Wasn’t Meant For Us” mark an incredible moment for us as our first new material since 2023. While these songs push Brand of Sacrifice forward, they also reconnect with elements of our past, drawing inspiration from the atmosphere and emotion of The Interstice and our sophomore release Lifeblood. We wanted to strip things back and focus on something more visceral, and honest while capturing a sense of nostalgia without simply repeating ourselves. We’re very proud of these tracks and can’t wait for everyone to experience this next chapter with us.”

The new tracks follow the band’s 2023 EP Between Death and Dreams and standalone single ‘Purge’, which also marked their signing to Nuclear Blast Records after their incendiary independent rise. That chapter expanded Brand of Sacrifice’s emotional and thematic range, with Anderson moving away from the anime themes of previous releases and looking inward to explore the darker trenches of the human condition while the band continued to stretch their sound into increasingly cinematic territory.

With ‘Seeing Red’ and ‘This Place Wasn’t Meant For Us’, Brand of Sacrifice pull the atmospheric world building and cinematic violence of their formative work into the present with the same level of brutality and a closer examination of the human condition. Every detail feels sharpened by the band they are now: heavier in impact, broader in theme and atmosphere, and more direct in intent. It is the sound of a band stepping into their next chapter with total command of the world they have built.

ABOUT BRAND OF SACRIFICE

Since their inception in 2018, Canadian deathcore unit Brand Of Sacrifice have carved out one of the most distinctive identities in modern heavy music. Inspired by the thematic and artistic world of Kentaro Miura’s Berserk, the band have built a sound designed to feel cinematic in scale and immersive in execution, fusing orchestral arrangements, ethereal atmosphere, electronics, crushing heaviness, and melody into a world that feels both brutal and expansive.Their 2021 sophomore album Lifeblood became a breakout moment for the band, charting on Billboard and earning a Juno Award nomination for Metal Album of the Year. The release helped Brand of Sacrifice amass a dedicated global fanbase, pushing them beyond 70 million streams and onto high-profile tours with acts including August Burns Red, Spiritbox, We Came As Romans, Thy Art Is Murder, and more. The band continued expanding their sound with 2023’s Between Death and Dreams EP and the standalone single ‘Purge’, the latter arriving alongside their signing to Nuclear Blast Records. Known for their massive choral soundscapes, punishing breakdowns, cinematic visuals, and devoted fan community known as The Branded Ones, Brand of Sacrifice have become one of heavy music’s most captivating live forces, with appearances at major international festivals including Wacken Open Air, Graspop, Brutal Assault, Summer Breeze, Download Festival, Welcome To Rockville and Sonic Temple. Now, with ‘Seeing Red’ and ‘This Place Wasn’t Meant For Us’, Brand of Sacrifice begin their next era with two tracks that reconnect with the atmosphere and emotion of their past while pushing into something more expansive, finessed and immediate.
