LÜT Release New Single ‘Bindingstid På Livstid’

10 years have passed.
Is the anxiety less, the shoulders lowered or the kicks softer?
By no means whatsoever!

The world is still attacked with sharpened claws, mesmerizing melodies, and harsh lyrics.
Bands change, and packaging has been replaced, but Tromsø’s proud sons still deliver a refined combo of salty, raw, and unrestrained rock.

Painted with contrasts like only the polar night, freezing cold, and eternal summer nights can carve out.
On April 24th they released “Bindingstid På Livstid” (eng: Subscription for a Lifetime). A song about the time that has passed, but also the things that have remained.

LÜT: “The song is about having friends, family, (band members in our case) or people in your life in general that you can be away from for a long time, but be right back where you left off when you see them again. Just like no time has passed at all, even at times if you had an argument last time and ended on bad terms. But in the bigger picture, with all big or small temporary fallouts aside, you just know that you have a lifetime commitment to each other and will have to deal with them for both good and bad times until the very end. And that’s kind of beautiful.”

Listen to the single here: https://orcd.co/bindingstid

The year is 2014, and the Tromsø-based band that eventually gets the name LÜT sees its inception in hermetically sealed boys’ rooms where hormones and teenage anxiety flowed freely. The result is sharp and distinctive rock, capturing fans from both the underground and the mainstream.

Fast forward to 2024, and LÜT has played at Summer Breeze (DE), Motocultor (FR), Spot Festival (DK), by:Larm, Slottsfjell, Bukta, Malakoff, Trondheim Calling, Vinje Rock, and Tons Of Rock.
LÜT has been nominated for Best Newcomer at the Norwegian Grammys (2017) and P3 Gull (2017) awards.
They received praise from Lars Ulrich (Metallica) on his podcast “It’s Electric.”

Their album “Mersmak” from 2021 received a 5/6 rating in Rolling Stone Magazine, leading them to support Germany’s big heroes DIE ÄRZTE on a stadium tour in front of 80,000 people in 2022, and then for Skambankt on their farewell tour in Norway in 2022.

FEED THEM DEATH to Release New Album “The Malady” on June 20th

“The Malady” is the fifth release by Death-Grind project FEED THEM DEATH, and it will be released via Brucia Records on June 20th, 2024 on digital and a special limited edition containing CD, Tape with low-fi one take rehearsals, a personalized notebook and a pin all placed inside a black mortuary bag.

Moshpit Nation
is now premiering the first single “Panopticism II” at THIS LOCATION.

3 years exactly after the critically acclaimed “Negative”, FEED THEM DEATH are back with another slab of fast, dissonant and chaotic anti-music.

Eleven new tracks eccentrically fusing Grindcore, Death Metal, D-beat, Sludge, 80’s Crust-Punk / Thrashcore and Noise Rock with a deconstructed and improvisational jazz sensibility.

FEED THEM DEATH was formed in 2017 by Void, and have so far released 3 full length albums and 1 EP, building a reputation for their fiercely experimental and dissonant approach to extreme music.

For the first time since its inception featuring a full line-up, with “The Malady” the band delivers an unrelenting, unhinged, full frontal assault to the senses, creating something raw, sometimes flawed, but always viscerally real.

The lyrics are once again central to delivery of Feed Them Death message, in continuity with both the punk hardcore early scene and the project’s own ethos of utilizing a vast array of counter-cultural references to engage the listeners in a fierce critique of the world around us.

A “fuck you all”, however spelt with literacy and intelligence, borrowing from George Orwell’s 1984, or from classical references like the paraboles of Sisyphus and Icarus, to reflect upon universals such as hate, guilt or human frailty, towards a possible redemption offered by the power of individuality and the freedom of thought: because yes, “People are a malady” and what we think we know is often “Deleterious”, but “Above All… and so below – tumult is the only thing aglow!”

FFO: Napalm Death, Dystopia, Heresy, Septic Death.

Tracklist:

1 – Above All… (01:14)
2 – Two Minutes Hate (01:56)
3 – Autopsy (03:08)
4 – Deleterious (03:18)
5 – Them, The Guiltless (03:36)

8 – Stygian Tide (02:33)

Exclusive Premiere for Finland: BLACK OAK COUNTY ‘Fire Inside’ Official Video

Danish rockers BLACK OAK COUNTY unveil the next chapter from their upcoming album, with the release of the new single “Fire Inside”. The track follows the release of “Save Your Breath”, and is yet another explosive collaboration and co-write with Nicklas Sonne (Defecto, Danish Eurovision Song Contest preliminaries).

“Fire Inside is yet another rather emotional song, but into a rocking package”, the band says about the single. “It’s a song about your judgment being all cloudy and messed up, because you’re so overcome by emotion – which is something we tried to show with the major change between the verse and chorus. It’s almost two different songs smashed into one, just as you can be a completely different person once you’re flooded by emotions such as rage and fragility. Oh, and there’s a whammy part in there too, which we can’t wait to use live, hah!“

Enjoy the premiering here:

Black Oak County is currently gearing up for its coming album release later this year, with shows in Denmark and Germany.

Lineup:
Niels Beier – guitar, vocals
René Kristensen – bass, vocals
Jack Svendsen – guitar
Mike Svendsen – drums

HAMMERFALL Announce new album ‘Avenge The Fallen’, Reveal First Single + Video ‘Hail To The King’

HAMMERFALL proudly announce their 13th studio album Avenge The Fallen, which will be released on August 9th via Nuclear Blast Records.

That’s right, less than a year after taking the final bow of the “United Forces” tour, the quintet of guitarist Oscar Dronjak, singer Joacim Cans, bass player Fredrik Larsson, guitarist Pontus Norgen, and drummer David Wallin are back with ten brand new solid pieces of classic heavy metal.

“This is our 13th album”, Joacim Cans says with pride. “How do you still stay relevant after 13 albums? It’s very much like the opening line to the song ´Avenge The Fallen´: “What is the worst, be the one who died, or be the one who survived.” Think about it, because it is a tough question”.

He continues, “Do we want to be a band who releases new music just for the sole reason of getting out on the road again or do we want to keep pushing and challenging ourselves? In times where people have less and less attention span, we still think in the form of full length albums. A few good songs don’t make a strong album. A strong album comes from an album full a great songs and that’s what we’re delivering with Avenge The Fallen.”

To give a taste of what awaits the fans, the band unleashes the first single and video ´Hail To The King´. A song that was born on the road….

“I began working on ´Hail To The King´ while on tour in the US with Helloween”, Oscar Dronjak recalls. “By the end of the tour, I was getting close to wrapping the song up, so straight after the Los Angeles gig I headed to the bus where I worked like a mad man to get the last pieces together. That turned out to be the show where one of my favourite wrestlers, Chris Jericho, came to visit. It was also the show where Fredrik met his idol Frank Bello from Anthrax and Joacim met Jay Ruston, producer for Armored Saints, Avatar, Anthrax, Corey Taylor and more and whom after this meeting agreed to produce the vocals for ´Avenge The Fallen´! I missed all that, but I at least got a great song out of it, haha!”
