Founded in 2004, FEUERSCHWANZ have evolved over the years from their roots in comedy medieval folk rock into a band to be taken seriously and are rightly regarded as one of the hottest acts on the scene. After they hit #1 in the Official German Album Charts for the first time with Memento Mori (2021), Germany’s hottest band managed to repeat that great success with their latest studio album Fegefeuer (2023). With premium slots at numerous festivals, such as co-headline slots at the legendary Wacken and Summer Breeze Open Airs, as well as abroad, including at Masters Of Rock and on the 70,000 Tons Of Metal cruise in the Caribbean, and an almost completely sold-out headlining tour, FEUERSCHWANZ underlined their outstanding position all the more last year. INSANITY ALERT Announce New EP “Moshemian Thrashody”, Reveal Video for Single ‘Beerless Fiesta’

Posted by tarjavirmakari on March 7, 2024
Posted in: Int. News, News. Tagged: INSANITY ALERT. Leave a comment

All too often, the world can feel so dark and heavy that everyone seems to have lost their collective minds. But one band are hell-bent on partying like there’s no tomorrow.

Though they were formed out of the powdered slopes of Austria, Insanity Alert have a different style of shredding in mind. Their undying allegiance to ’80s crossover thrash is only rivaled by their craving for a juicy moshburger and an ice-cold 666 pack.

Today, Insanity Alert are announcing a new EP. Moshemian Thrashody puts a fun, frothy and snot-nosed spin on four familiar classics, though the inspiration behind the lead single might surprise you.

Pre-order: https://shop.season-of-mist.com/list/insanity-alert-moshemian-thrashody
Pre-save: https://orcd.co/moshemianthrashodypresave

It makes sense that Insanity Alert parody Queen, Guns ‘N’ Roses and Iron Maiden on Moshemian Thrashody. After all, these speed freaks will go to comically absurd lengths when paying homage to the classics. So when the video for “Beerless Fiesta” opens with a faint but familiar waft of saxophone, it throws you for a loop, like an edible that your friends swore was just a regular old brownie.

Wait, are they about to rip on…George Michael?

“I’m never gonna drink again”, Heavy Kevy screams in agony, as if wrapped around the toilet. If this band are so much as entertaining the idea of sobriety, then you know they’re battling one hell of a hangover. But their new single only goes to show that Insanity Alert aren’t hopping on the wagon anytime soon. When the thrash riffs start spilling forth like a frothy beer bong, that means it’s time to jump in the mosh pit.

“Moshemian Thrashody rides the thin line between familiar and super awkward”, says Insanity Alert. “It’s like getting shitfaced with your favorite highschool teacher”.

The video for “Beerless Fiesta” was produced, filmed and edited by Max “Mugs” Raggl in Innsbruck, Austria ( www.mugs.at ).

The concept was created by Heavy Kevy and Insanity Alert.

2. Beer In The Park (4:24)
3. Beerless Fiesta (2:10) [WATCH]

Total runtime: 12:33

There’s only one way to welcome a new album from Insanity Alert: a summerlong tour! Crack open some beers, roll up a spliff and prepare to meet the wall of death when the band debut Moshemian Thrashody at some of Europe’s biggest and heaviest festivals.

[Movie trailer voice] In a world that’s plagued by war, natural disasters and TikTok dance challenges, one band are hell-bent on partying like there’s no tomorrow. Sure, the hangovers might hit a little harder now that they’re four albums in. But on Moshemian Thrashody, Insanity Alert are still nothing but a good time.

Ski parties visit Austria for its powdered slopes, but when Insanity Alert banded together from around Innsbruck in 2011, these adrenaline junkies had a different, more dangerous type of shredding in mind.  Their destructive appetite for ‘80s crossover thrash is only rivaled by an unquenchable thirst for ice-cold beer.

While under the influence of older party monsters like Suicidal Tendencies and Municipal Waste, Insanity Alert roll their riffs with the same strand of humor as labelmates Cannabis Corpse. Their songs parody everyone from perennial punching bags like David Guetta and Milli Vanilli to sacred cows Iron Maiden.

“We think of our renditions as tributes to the greatness of the original songs”, the band says. “Mixing their greatness with our blend of speed, fun, brutality and weirdness just feels right.

On the strength of their demo tape alone, Insanity Alert sent skate punks and metalheads running into the pit. First Diagnosis was quickly confirmed by follow-up EP Second Opinion. Critics properly diagnosed their self-titled full-length as a much-needed dose of derangement, but the band has upped their prescription of snot-nosed speed and grinding d-beats with each release.

Moshburger was served up in 2016 while Insanity Alert were on tour with Hatebreed, Madball, Terror and Power Trip. They then shared a 666-Pack with festivalgoers at Wacken Open Air. With names like Slapmaster Puke and The Inphiltrator, this band will go to comically absurd lengths just to jump into the circle pit with their fans — so long as there’s a full fridge and good bud(s) waiting backstage. When Insanity Alert played the main stage at Hellfest in 2019, Dave of the Death could barely feel his fretting hand after taking one heck of a stage dive the night before.

Moshemian Thrashody keeps the festivities going with new parodies of familiar classics like Guns N’ Roses and Iron Maiden. One might surprise you, though. Lead single “Beerless Fiesta” gives the crossover thrash treatment to (checks notes) George Michael? Insanity Alert aren’t going into mosh retirement anytime soon, though. The title track sees Queen’s theatrics and raises it with a clown car full of hijinks, including a Hauwitzer guitar solo that pops off like a bottle of champagne. Don Melanzani chugs down blast beats as the band joins in an acapella gang chant about “letting it snow” with Santa Claus that’s rowdier than a German beer hall.

“These are some killer tunes that we threw in our drunken 420 blender”, says Heavy Kevy. “Moshemian Thrashody rides the thin line between familiar and super awkward – like seeing your old grandpa in the mosh pit or masturbating for the first time with your other hand”.

After almost 15 years of bringing crossover thrash to party animals everywhere, Insanity Alert will still go anywhere the weed blows.

Icelandic underground heavy new sensation DUFT will release the debut album “Altar Of Instant Gratification” on the 17th of May through Scarlet Records.

Recorded and engineered by Leifur Örn Kaldal and Þorsteinn Gunnar Friðriksson (Une Misère) at Veldið Studio, and darkly illustrated by Heresie Studio (Imperium Dekadenz), “Altar Of Instant Gratification” showcases relentless musicianship amidst the calculated chaos of crushing metallic riffs, frantic tempos, punishing breakdowns and the lyrical rage of hardcore punk.

The main theme of the Reykjavik’s band is the ever present feeling that Planet Earth is falling to pieces: most people are too busy in childish pursuits of instant gratifications and avoiding pain to embrace the fact that the world has become a bleak hardcore place!

To strive in it, you must be willing to show courage, think critically for yourself and don’t buy into dogmatic truths – hold yourself accountable and stay true.

This ain’t no record for fainted hearts, indeed.

“Altar Of Instant Gratification” will be released in the following formats:

  • jewel case CD
  • vinyl LP
  • digital

“Altar Of Instant Gratification” tracklist:

  1. Intro
  2. Caved In
  3. Dragged Across Concrete
  4. Instant Gratification
  5. Waste From Birth
  6. Scarfaced Blues
  7. Doctrine
  8. 20th Century Doom
  9. Anomic Suicide
  10. Open Casket
  11. Only Dead Fish Follow The Stream

PAINFUL Drop New Single And Lyric Video ‘Remaining Shadows’

Posted by tarjavirmakari on March 7, 2024
Posted in: Int. News, News. Tagged: PAINFUL. Leave a comment

The new album by black/death metallers PAINFUL, who are celebrating their 20th anniversary in 2024, is due to be released this spring. To shorten the waiting time for fans until Nefarious Monarchy will reign on May 25th, another album single is now available in advance – this time with  a lyric video. While the first single Liberty (Dies), the fastest song on the album, was a throwback to the band’s roots, PAINFUL now present themselves once again in a black metal vein, albeit with a more sustained, opulent tone: Remaining Shadows is a powerful mid-tempo roller that is occasionally reminiscent of one of PAINFUL’s great early influences – SATYRICON:

The song is firmly embedded in the context of the concept album, which is dedicated to the dark side of the French Revolution and the human abysses that became evident within it. In the immediate aftermath of the Revolution, France was engaged in armed conflicts with several neighboring states. What went down in the history books as the Coalition Wars caused incredible human suffering between the bloody lines.

The band says about Remaining Shadows: “We wanted to show the brutal and devastating face of war. There’s remaining darkness after every war that was fought out. We shouldn’t despise the consequences of our actions.”

PAINFUL’s new album Nefarious Monarchy will be available everywhere from May 25th and is now up for pre-save here: https://orcd.co/painful and for pre-order here: https://linktr.ee/painfulmetalofficial. An official album release party and live show will also take place on that date.  Also, don’t forget to grab PAINFUL’s Remaining Shadows here and throw it on your playlist(s)!

Tracklist Nefarious Monarchy:

1. A World of Kings
2. Liberty (Dies)
3. Growing Rage
4. Reign of Terror
5. History Repeats
6. United in Blood
7. Heart of Darkness
8. We are not equal
9. Remaining Shadows
10. Fallen Hierarchies

( + bonus track United in Blood feat. Alexander Krull)

Ever since its formation in 2004 as a grimy-brutal bastard of black and death metal, the band have stood for raw, bloody pain, true to their own name. However, they soon began to turn the melancholy of the abyss into something entirely of their own, leading to the creation of powerful symphonies, which have earned PAINFUL a steadily growing fan base at countless gigs – including performances with acts such as Belphegor, Behemoth, Atrocity and Amon Amarth, as well as many of their own headlining shows.

Three albums later, and with their fourth already in the oven, they have successfully crossed iconic festivals like MetalDays, Metalfest and even the 70000TONS OF METAL Cruise off their checklist. So it’s no surprise that genre legend Alexander Krull (ATROCITY, LEAVES EYES) took notice and produced a PAINFUL album for the second time in a row in one of the renowned Mastersound Entertainment studios.
