Align the Tide is a Maltese modern metal/metalcore band formed in September 2015. Drawing influence from a wide range of heavy music styles, the band spent their early years refining their sound before establishing the powerful identity they are known for today.

Their relentless work led to the release of their debut album, Dead Religion, accompanied by a full merchandise line. In May 2018, Align the Tide joined legendary industrial metal outfit Mushroomhead on their U.S. tour, performing across major cities including San Diego, Seattle, Denver, Minneapolis and Cleveland.

Following extensive performances across Malta, the band expanded into Europe with a tour through Germany and the Czech Republic, steadily building a loyal and growing fanbase. In April 2019, Align the Tide signed with Cleopatra Records and released Dead Religion worldwide on CD digipak and vinyl. During the pandemic, the band remained active in the studio, writing and recording their second album, Hollow, which was released through Cleopatra Records in August 2022.

In 2024, the band added another milestone to their journey by supporting deathcore giants Suicide Silence at their London show, further cementing their reputation as one of Malta’s leading heavy acts.

With a refreshed lineup, a heavier and more mature sound, and new music on the horizon, Align the Tide continue to push forward, delivering uncompromising modern metal to audiences both at home and abroad.

AUTUMNFALL to Release New Album “The Archaic Sins” on September 25th

Finnish melodic black metal veterans AUTUMNFALL will return on September 25th, 2026 with their new album, “The Archaic Sins”, to be released by Ardua Music. Continuing the path established by their previous work, the album revisits material originally composed decades ago, yet demonstrates how naturally these songs can still impose themselves in the present day.

Formed in Finland in 2019 by Jussi Hänninen, best known as the primary songwriter of Fall of the Leafe between 1996 and 2007, AUTUMNFALL emerged as a continuation of the musical sensibility that characterized the earlier years of that influential band. Joined by vocalist Tero Ruohonen, Hänninen has developed the project into a vehicle for revisiting old ideas while giving them renewed shape and purpose.

Following “Ghosts of Light” (2021), “Bleak” (2022) and “The Archaic Shadows” (2024), “The Archaic Sins” once again draws heavily from the past. With just one completely new composition, the album is primarily built around songs written between 1998 and 2001, now brought into the present through fresh arrangements and performances.

The result is fluid, finely arranged melodic black metal that never needs grand gestures to make its impact. AUTUMNFALL weave melodies together continuously, allowing guitars and rhythms to move with a natural, unforced sense of progression. The music can evoke wonder one moment and bitterness the next, shifting between emotional shades without ever disrupting its graceful flow.

Carefully considered rhythmic patterns provide a solid foundation for compositions that remain loose and organic, while the constant interplay of melodies gives the album its distinctive character. There is an unmistakable sense of musicians who have spent decades understanding how songs work, knowing when to add detail and, just as importantly, when to let an idea breathe.

Whether described as melodic extreme metal, dark metal or simply AUTUMNFALL, “The Archaic Sins” offers a sound rooted in experience, melody and atmosphere: material from another era that finds an unexpectedly natural home in the present.

Rock/metal icon MARILYN MANSON has released his highly anticipated new album, One Assassination Under God – Chapter 2, available now worldwide via Nuclear Blast Records. To mark the occasion, MANSON has also unveiled the official music video directed by Anthony Silva (@poisonpix) for the album’s opening track, ‘Unalive,’ expanding on his signature dark, cinematic vision.

India’s cinematic metal powerhouse Shiverwood Shade has dropped a ferocious new live performance video for “Crawling Back”, one of the most volatile and emotionally charged tracks from their debut album “Escaping Darkness”.​

A chaotic eruption of down‑tuned nu‑metal riffs, industrial electronics, and raw vocal intensity, “Crawling Back” captures the band at their most unrestrained. The song dives into the frustration of personal relapse, those moments when old fears and destructive patterns resurface despite progress.

The live video amplifies this emotional turbulence, presenting the track with heightened aggression, cinematic tension, and the immersive stage presence that has become the band’s signature.

Following the release of “Escaping Darkness,” Shiverwood Shade has quickly established themselves as one of India’s most compelling modern heavy acts. The album is built around a deeply personal narrative—moving from internal chaos and emotional conflict toward healing, clarity, and hope.

Across ten tracks, the band blends nu‑metal and post‑hardcore riffs, cinematic atmospheres and orchestral pads, dark electronic textures inspired by industrial, synthwave, and EDM.

Originally formed in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh, in 2013, Shiverwood Shade quickly carved out a reputation across India’s independent circuit, earning major wins at college festivals such as Spring Fest at IIT Kharagpur, IIIT Gwalior, and ITM. After years of creative evolution, the band underwent a dramatic rebirth in 2022, relocating 1,500 kilometres east to Kolkata and rebuilding their lineup from the ground up. This transformation mirrors their shift from early science‑fiction‑inspired material to a mature, emotionally charged fusion of nu metal, alternative Metal, post‑Hardcore, metalcore, and cinematic electronic elements.

It paints the picture of the eternal struggle between human nature and societal constructs, and therefore poses the question – who will be the first to break: man or society.
