Norwegian Progressive Metal Pioneers RAM-ZET Release New Album “Sapien”, Out Now

Norwegian progressive metal pioneers RAM-ZET release their highly anticipated new album “Sapien” today, out worldwide via ViciSolum Productions on double vinyl, CD, and digital.

After thirteen years of silence since their last full-length release, RAM-ZET formally release their return, reigniting the distinctive fusion of progressive and avant-garde metal that has defined their sound. What began as a spark of renewed inspiration has grown into a full-scale comeback for one of Norway’s most forward-thinking and unconventional metal acts.

Henning Ramseth about “Sapien”: “There has been a long break without new music from us, since we released ‘Freaks in Wonderland’ in 2012. There has never been a doubt in my mind that there was going to be a new album by Ram-Zet, but it has been somehow hard to keep track of the development in the music industry, and I really needed to find the right motivation to start the process. But in 2020, I decided to collect all ideas, and start the real job, writing all material for a new Ram-Zet album, and during the process, we started to rehearse again, and felt the old spirit come back to us.

The writing did not stop until 9 new songs were done, and the recording could take place. Still, it took some years to complete the album, because all members had other projects going on, and we needed to re-write our schedule. Also, Miriam (sfinx) got pregnant during the process (yes, it is her ‘real baby’ on our cover) and we also had to plan some of the recording around that.

Also, we have spent a lot more time on the arrangements of the songs but still recorded everything with a much more live in studio approach, which makes this album, in my ears, more organic, than ever before.

It is some kind of a cliche to say that ‘the new album is our best’ but I swear that this album really feels like a big step further for the band. All fans of Ram-Zet will recognize both our sound, and my songwriting, and I could not be prouder than I am over this album“.

Tracklist:

  1. Zerocane
  2. Cranium
  3. Sleepers
  4. Bozzadevil
  5. Peace25?
  6. As Worlds Collide
  7. Psychosis
  8. In The Mirror
  9. Catching Flies
  10. Hangmans Jazz

With “Sapien”, RAM-ZET deliver their trademark fusion of intensity, complexity, and atmosphere, infused with renewed focus, energy, and vision. The band’s next chapter begins now.

MASTER MASSIVE Release First New Single & Lyric Video ‘Blood On The Floor’

Swedish cult act MASTER MASSIVE will release a new studio album, called „White Shadows“, out on July 10th through Fireflash Records. The album is a pure and epic heavy metal gem, and unites traditional metal with progressive and doom elements.

MASTER MASSIVE release their first single & lyric video for the song „Blood On The Floor“.

  • Stream/Download here: https://save-it.cc/fireflash/blood-on-the-floor
  • Bandcamp: https://ff-mastermassive.bandcamp.com/track/blood-on-the-floor

„I wanted to make a really stomping mid-tempo song, and just thinking that thought made me play the first riff without hesitation. The image I worked from was a child lifting their gaze from play and looking out into the world. With each verse, the child grows older and begins to draw their own conclusions more and more. One of the best lyrics. The basic song itself has a fairly simple structure. It’s only at the solo that we start to go wild, with a death riff in 7/8 time. Really tricky harmonies, which made composing melodic solos quite challenging. But after many hours of effort, it turned out really well. Per-Mårten added a couple of important keyboard lines at the end of the solo. Masken’s understanding of the lyrics and his raw power bring so much energy“, comments lead guitar player Jan Strandh.

The sound of MASTER MASSIVE is unique. You can hear MERCYFUL FATE, but also CANDLEMASS and early FATES WARNING and QUEENSRYCHE. „I’ve listened a lot to those bands, especially Mercyful Fate („Melissa“ and „Don’t Break The Oath“), and later also Fates Warning („Awaken The Guardian“). Originally, I come from the symphonic rock tradition, with bands like Queen, Genesis, Jethro Tull, and Black Sabbath. My playing style comes exclusively from the guitarists in these bands“, adds Strandh.

There is a lot to discover in „White Shadows“. It is an album that is timeless, that needs full attention and will once in the future be named along with many classics. „We had big ambitions for the album. We decided that there shouldn’t be a single weak song or meaningless note. Even so, it surpassed our expectations. One of the feelings we wanted to capture in our sound was a natural groove, the kind you hear in older artists and in classical music. To achieve this, we chose to make a record entirely without a click track. Johan was the perfect drummer for the challenge, and once everyone who plays and sings on the album had added their parts, the result became far more fluid, alive, and dynamic than we could have imagined.“

MASTER MASSIVE are:
Tony Niva – lead vocals
Marcus ”Masken” Karlsson – lead vocals
Viktor Gustafsson – lead vocals
Jan Strandh – lead guitar and vocals
Max Warnby – bass guitar
Johan Hautajärvi – drums

MAMMON’S THRONE Release Performance Video for ‘Elixir’

Australian death doom outfit Mammon’s Throne have recently released their third full length My Body to the Worms via Hammerheart Records.

The band are now releasing a new performance video for the heavy track ‘Elixir’ which is streaming via the Hammerheart Records YouTube channel.

Mammon’s Throne comment on the track: “During the album writing process, we set out to have a no frills, in your face, pummeling track and thought it would be fun to include some influence from hardcore music by including a breakdown towards the end of the song. We jokingly referred to this new amalgamation as “Funeral-Slam”, a label which seems to be sticking.

“The theme of the lyrics came together very organically while jamming the riffs and they have definitely hooked people in when we have performed the track live, as we are frequently asked when the “Nosferatu” song is coming.

“‘Elixir’ was recorded to a live studio drum performance to capture the natural dynamics and tempo Mammon’s Throne is known for during our live shows. Amesh recorded and mixed the remainder of the track in his home studio, adding multiple guitar layers and heavy reverb to capture Nosferatu‘s foreboding presence in her castle, draining the life force of countless victims.

“Some say the multiple screeches and shrieks heard in the track were the 2 guitarists’ pickups haunted and possessed by the vampire herself. Special guest vocals provided by Count Louis Peter Meoackovic, Nosferatu‘s feline minion and production superintendent. See if you can figure out where he’s lurking in the song!
“

After relentless gigging and the success of their 2020 debut album Forward Unto Flame, Mammon’s Throne have established themselves as a force to be reckoned within the Australian live music scene. They followed this up with an epic offering of extreme doom on their self-titled release in 2023. This album saw the band fully embrace the death-doom and black metal aspects of their sound and was met with great admiration by listeners and reviewers.

On the back of the strength of their live performances and respect within the local music community, the band have supported multiple international touring acts such as My Dying Bride, Pallbearer, Conan, Triumph of Death and Rotting Christ to name a few and have done a run of shows in Japan in 2024.

Mammon’s Throne have signed with Hammerheart Records to release their third album My Body to the Worms, which is due on the 13th of March 2026 and represents their most ambitious work to date. The band effortlessly weaves elements of death metal, black metal, doom metal and more to create an engrossing and narrative atmosphere with poignant and memorable lyrics, intricate guitar work and diverse vocal styles that are sure to keep listeners coming back time and time again.

Track-list:
1. Senseless Death
2. Clandestine Unholy Rites
3. Elixir
4. Every Day More Sickened
5. At the Threshold of Eternity
6. An Angel’s Grace
7. Departed

LION’S SHARE Unleash New Album “Inferno” with Lyric Video for ‘Chain Child’

Swedish heavy metal veterans LION’S SHARE return today with the release of their long-awaited new studio album Inferno, out now via Metalville on CD and vinyl.

Order the album here: https://lionsshare.lnk.to/Inferno

Coinciding with the album release, the band have also unveiled a new lyric video for the track “Chain Child” — a fan favorite that captures the raw spirit of classic heavy metal.

Inferno marks LION’S SHARE’s first full-length studio album in 17 years and sees the band delivering a powerful statement rooted in the timeless traditions of classic heavy metal.

Guitarist Lars Chriss explains:

“This album represents everything we love about heavy metal — the darkness, the melodies, the power and the drama. We didn’t want to chase trends. We wanted to make a record that feels honest and true to the music that shaped us.”

“Chain Child” – a heavy metal story brought to life

The track “Chain Child” embodies the classic heavy metal energy that runs throughout Inferno, drawing inspiration from the legendary sound of bands such as SAXON, DIO and IRON MAIDEN.

The song tells the story of rival gangs clashing in the underworld, with the mysterious Chain Child emerging as the toughest of them all.

The character has also become a recurring symbol in the band’s visual identity. The Chain Child appears as the band’s mascot on the artwork of their three most recent releases — including the cover of Inferno — instantly recognizable by its distinctive chain-like arms.

Vocalist Nils Patrik Johansson says:

“It’s a very visual story — gangs fighting in the shadows and this unstoppable character rising above them. That kind of imagery has always been a natural part of the heavy metal we grew up with.”

A return forged in classic heavy metal

Throughout Inferno, LION’S SHARE channel the dramatic, riff-driven sound that defined the golden era of heavy metal between 1980 and 1987 — an influence heard clearly in tracks such as “Pentagram”, “Baptized In Blood” and “Chain Child”.

Rather than revisiting the past as nostalgia, the band transform those influences into a powerful modern statement of classic heavy metal.

Early reactions to Inferno have been overwhelmingly positive, including a perfect 10/10 rating from UK’s Powerplay Magazine, praising the album as a blazing comeback from the Swedish metal veterans.

The album has also already begun gaining traction on US metal radio ahead of its official release.

A respected legacy in European heavy metal

Formed in Sundsvall in 1987, LION’S SHARE have built a respected reputation within the international heavy metal scene, touring alongside legendary acts such as MOTÖRHEAD, DIO, SAXON, MANOWAR, U.D.O., ICED EARTH, NEVERMORE and Dee Snider.

With the release of Inferno, the band are also returning to the live stage and have recently been confirmed for the legendary Sweden Rock Festival — the biggest rock festival in Sweden — alongside a series of Swedish live shows throughout 2026. With Inferno, LION’S SHARE deliver a triumphant return that reaffirms their place among Europe’s classic heavy metal acts.

A new chapter has begun: Finnish melodic metal force ARION return with a bang, launching the album cycle for their upcoming fifth studio album with the brand-new single “Hurricane”, released via RPM. The track is a fast-paced, modern melodic metal anthem that stands out with its theme of cathartic empowerment, a massive chorus hook, and the band’s signature infectious riffing.

Driven by an arena-ready chorus and sharp songwriting, “Hurricane” initially feels like a classic hit in the making. But ARION add a clever twist, breaking away from predictable structures and injecting a fresh, modern edge that keeps listeners on their toes. More singles will follow throughout 2026, with the full album scheduled for release at the beginning of 2027, following their European tour with Gloryhammer and Majestica in October 2026.

Guitarist Iivo Kaipainen comments: “We are happy to come back with this new fantastic single called ‘Hurricane’! The song features an especially massive and catchy chorus and infectious main riff, which are both long time trademarks for the band. Sounds like a traditional hit format song? WRONG! There’s a cool modern twist waiting to break the linear true and tried hit song formula that will definitely catch every listener off guard. See for yourself!”

RAIN DIARY’s New Album “Night Church” Out Now

Rain Diary’s recording history dates to 2013 when the band’s first album – The Lights Are Violent Here – was released. The album was praised by critics, and it also registered some promising chart success [7th spot on Finnish Official Independent Record Store Sales Chart, 30th on The Official Finnish Album Chart (week 40, 2013)]. Rain Diary made its first international show in Tallinn 2014 followed by extensive German tour. Middle-Europe has always been one of the key areas for Rain Diary with six tours and counting.

A nice kick-off was followed by the second album – Black Weddings (2017) – that kept Rain Diary’s underground success crowing towards larger audiences. And then came the cursed Corona that caused first minor and later bigger “hiccups” that led to somewhat dramatic member changes. In 2021 Rain Diary was in the verge of break up: Band’s just-found exceptionally talented new singer had to quit due to severe health reasons. After short hiatus, the band found strength from fellow musicians and fans encouragements.

It’s one out of million kind of luck that struck Rain Diary: The band found an absolute gem from the legendary Bar Loose where Joonas Verho was playing with his previous band. It was a stellar performance Joni Bitter got to witness as his club manager role. The band finally found THE singer and managed to fulfil its honour to support Lord of The Lost in their 2022 ensemble tour. After LOTL mastermind Chris Harms stated that “Circles is one the best pop songs he has heard for years”, all doubt and regret was left behind: LET’S DO THIS!

And here we are with the Night Church. Let it do its own justice, let it shine the night light and pave the road for winterwave.

Rain Diary is a Finnish rock band that plays beautiful and twisted dark wave tunes. The band bears its roots in Finnish melancholy, the scenery of evergreen forests, nightless nights and snow-covered wilderness, though the band constantly breaks this easily labelled HIM/Nightwish-stereotype by breathing in something new. Rain Diary injects urban feel with the drumming electronics and clever pop elements making the band a must-see for the fans of Depeche Mode, Placebo and alike. Rain Diary’s music genre has been labelled as winterwave.

Rain Diary are:
Joonas Verho – vocals
Tytti Toppari-Pellikainen – keyboards. vocals
Teemu Rantanen – guitar
Joni Bitter – bass, guitar, programming
Lauri Kujasalo – drums
