THOR & MICHAEL MOORCOCK Team Up on 7-Inch ‘The Quest For The Hammer’ (Strictly Limited!)

Thor, Cleopatra Records’ very own God of Thunder, is back, celebrating the lightning-lashed height of summer with a STRICTLY LIMITED black vinyl 7-inch comprising two songs that are – and will remain! – unavailable anywhere else.  No streaming, no downloads, no albums.

And  just 35 copies are being pressed, guaranteeing an instant collector’s item for the armies of Thor fans out there.  If they move quickly enough!  When we say STRICTLY LIMITED, we mean it!

STRICTLY LIMITED is an extraordinary new series of 7-inch singles featuring rare, archival and unreleased tracks by some of the legends of rock’n’roll.  Thor is the second in the series.

Released last week, the New York Dolls STRICTLY LIMITED pink vinyl 7-inch has already all but sold out (and might well have by the time you read these words); coming up soon are STRICTLY LIMITED exclusives by King Stott (ex-Plasmatics), Linda Gail Lewis featuring Hillbilly Moon Explosion and Bill Haley, Powerman 5000, Lorraine Lewis and Dee Snider and Kings Of Thrash.  With more to come!

Presented in authentic white-label style packaging with a one-sided sleeve card and poly bag, every copy of “Quest For The Hammer” is personally signed by Thor.

To add to the excitement, these two performances are totally unique.  Although both “Quest For The Hammer” and “Nerves Of Steel,” are taken from Thor’s upcoming new album, The Final Battle, they appear here in otherwise unavailable extended form, and feature a string of special guests – poet and performer Michael Moorcock, multi-instrumentalist and Hawkwind alumni Alan Davey, Jack Starr (Strider, Virgin Steele etc), Cliff Evans (Killers with Paul Di’Anno, Tank), Bobby Rondinelli (Black Sabbath, Rainbow, Blue Öyster Cult) and Derek Hughes.

Thor was especially thrilled to be joined by Moorcock – “”I’ve always been a fan of Michael Moorcock and his association with Hawkwind,” he says.  “To have him narrate an intro for the new Thor album is the ultimate honor. It introduces the journey that Thor and his Strong Swords will explore on this new musical adventure.”

On the b-side, the explosive “Nerves of Steel” is “a high-energy uptempo barn burner, it is a taste and sets the tone for whats to come.”  He’s talking there of what awaits on The Final Battle. But he could also be describing STRICTLY LIMITED itself. “What’s to come” will blow your mind!

Available exclusively direct-to-consumer from Cleopatra Records, here.

Built upon Noveria’s unmistakable blend of prog power metal, modern heaviness, grandiose atmospheres, and breathtaking musicianship, “Becoming After” pushes the band into unexplored territory – darker, deeper, yet more alive than ever.

Massive choruses collide with crushing riffs, epic soundscapes meet technical intensity, while passionate vulnerability stands proudly beside pure aggression.

Every riff, every orchestration, every scream and melody carries the weight of real battles lived through the fire and survived with scars turned into strength.

With this new record, and a deeply renewed line-up, Noveria return heavier, more cinematic and emotional, and definitely fearless!

NEOREMA Return with New Album “rumorEsilenzio” & Enter Wanikiya Record Roster

2026 marks the return of one of the most genuine and emotionally compelling acts in the Italian alternative rock scene.

Wanikiya Record/Promotion is proud to announce the official addition of Neorema to its artist roster, alongside the release of their long-awaited new album, “rumorEsilenzio”—a record that marks the band’s return after more than a decade away from the recording scene.

Neorema was formed in 2006 by Luca Toni (vocals and guitar) and Piernicola Arena (keyboards and vocals), two musicians united by the desire to develop a deeply personal artistic vision, blending the energy of alternative rock with meaningful, emotionally charged lyrics written in Italian.

Completing the lineup are Alessio Marchetti on lead guitar, together with the powerful rhythm section of Cristiano Agnani on bass and Nicholas Bernardeschi on drums.

Since the very beginning, Neorema has stood out for its distinctive musical identity: an intense and visceral alternative rock/wave sound capable of balancing tension and melody, anger and reflection, light and darkness. Their music is rooted in introspection and emotional exploration, creating dense, melancholic atmospheres often permeated by a subtle existential unease.

In 2009, the band independently recorded and released its debut album, “Solo Un Altro Colpo Al Cuore”, which received positive reviews and allowed Neorema to establish itself through numerous live performances.

Then came the silence.

In 2011, the band decided to put its activity on hold. It was a long but necessary break, shaped by personal changes, reflection, and the healing of old wounds.

But some stories never truly end.

After more than ten years away, Neorema returns with renewed artistic maturity and a stronger human perspective. The result is “rumorEsilenzio”, an album born from nearly five years of writing, sonic experimentation, and personal growth.

More than a comeback, “rumorEsilenzio” is a rebirth.

The title itself captures the essence of the record: the constant contrast between what screams within us and what remains unspoken, between the chaos of the outside world and the inner dialogue that accompanies every individual throughout life’s journey.

The new songs preserve the unmistakable soul of Neorema while embracing new shades and perspectives, proving that the band can look back at its past without becoming trapped by it. The result is a mature, profound, and deeply authentic album, where every note reflects the passing of time and the determination to transform it into art.

Joining the Wanikiya Record/Promotion roster marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter for the band, which is preparing to bring its music back to audiences through promotional campaigns, interviews, reviews, collaborations with specialized media, and new live performances.

With “rumorEsilenzio”, Neorema proves that time may keep artists away from the stage, but it can never extinguish the need to express themselves through music.

Sometimes silence is not the end.

It is simply the moment before the return.

ORPHEUS OMEGA Unveil New Music Video for ‘Marionette’

Australian melodic death metal stalwarts Orpheus Omega have officially released the music video for “Marionette,” a track from their critically acclaimed latest album, Emberglow, out now via Wormholedeath Records.

Blending crushing riffs, soaring melodies, and the band’s trademark emotional intensity, “Marionette” serves as a fitting final statement for the Emberglow era while simultaneously marking the beginning of a new chapter for one of Australia’s most enduring metal acts.

Speaking about the video, the band states:

“‘MARIONETTE’ was filmed at OO HQ whom we say goodbye to after 15 years of rehearsals and 5 albums of writing, signaling the end of the Emberglow album cycle and the move to the NEXT phase of Orpheus Omega.

It’s with this that we also give our BIGGEST thank you and appreciation to Luke for his time in the band as he steps away from Orpheus Omega. Luke’s enigmatic presence and personality have imprinted on everyone he met during many tours and won’t go forgotten anytime soon.

So please, send him ALL your love when watching this video, his last standing contribution within the band.“

With a career spanning four acclaimed albums, three EPs, and continuous tour cycles both domestically and abroad, Orpheus Omega has built a reputation as one of the hardest-working acts in the Australian metal scene. The band started with a sound rooted in the Gothenburg melodeath tradition and has since developed into a distinct voice, shaped by each member’s individual background and experience. That evolution has put them on the same stages as Insomnium, Trivium, At The Gates, Fleshgod Apocalypse, Lacuna Coil, and many others. Emberglow, released in 2024 through Wormholedeath Records, is their most ambitious record to date.

BAD WOLVES Return with New Single & Music Video ‘Paint It Red’ Introducing New Vocalist KILLBOY (Sara Skinner)

Posted by tarjavirmakari on June 30, 2026

Multi-platinum and chart-topping hard rock outfit BAD WOLVES return with their new single and music video “Paint It Red,” out now via Better Noise Music. It serves as the band’s first release of 2026 and as the introduction to KILLBOY (Sara Skinner), who makes her fiery debut as the band’s new vocalist with the track.

Here, Bad Wolves begin to explore a broader sonic palette, unlocking subtleties in their sound that feel both fresh and fully realized.

The June 29 release date is no accident. The Strawberry Moon — the full moon that rises in late June — is steeped in mythology and primal energy, perfect for a new release from a band whose identity has always been intertwined with the power and imagery of wolves.

Listen to “Paint It Red’ here.

Regarding the onset of this chapter, BAD WOLVES founder, drummer, and songwriter John Boecklin commented, “When we started looking for the next voice of BAD WOLVES, we weren’t looking for someone to fill a spot; we were looking for someone who could help push this band into its next chapter. The first time I heard Sara sing, I knew she was different. She has an incredible voice, undeniable presence, and the kind of versatility that allows us to take our songwriting to places we’ve never gone before. Beyond the talent, she’s brought a renewed energy and excitement into this band. Sara isn’t here to recreate the past, she’s here to help us build the future. We couldn’t be more excited to welcome her to the Bad Wolves family and for everyone to hear what we’ve been working on together.”

There’s no better way to start this chapter than “Paint It Red.” Propelled by pummeling drums and a head-nodding groove, the track fuses KILLBOY’s dynamic delivery to an airtight polyrhythmic riff. Once again, the track illustrates the group’s uncanny ability to marry skyscraper-size melodies and intricately crushing instrumentation. Baptized in crimson, the chorus culminates on an ominous, yet entrancing chant, “And watch the blood flow down like a river from my mouth…’Cause they won’t miss you when you’re dead, so paint it red.”

Regarding the song, KILLBOY states, “‘Paint It Red’ is about being unafraid to tear everything down and start over — again and again if that’s what it takes. With blood, sweat, and tears, every single time. To live authentically and follow your heart, you have to be willing to rebuild when something no longer serves who you are. You can’t be afraid of change, failure, or starting from scratch. Sometimes growth means letting go of what you’ve built so you can create something even better. ‘Paint It Red’ is about having the courage to burn away what’s holding you back and the strength to begin again.”

Boecklin elaborated, “‘Paint It Red’ is a metaphor for those moments in life when being polite, diplomatic, or even democratic, no longer works. Not all the time. Not often. But there comes a point when enough is enough. There are moments when it’s time to stop asking for permission and start making decisions for yourself. To do what you want to do, regardless of the consequences. Even if it’s the wrong decision, at least it’s yours. Then you live with it. Burn it down. Tear it apart. Cause some chaos if that’s what needs to happen. There’s something freeing about reaching that point — when you know it’s time to sound the alarm and let everyone know to back the fuck off. ‘Paint It Red’ is about taking control, owning your choices, and refusing to let anyone else dictate your path.”

Indeed, art is imitating life on “Paint It Red.”

Stay tuned for a whole lot more from Bad Wolves soon. This only the beginning of their next chapter.
