Today, dread rock superstar WEDNESDAY 13 gives us the first taste of his forthcoming triumphant live album, Un-Alive from Pol’and’Rock 2025 out September 25, 2026 via Napalm Records. Kicking things off with a particularly raucous live rendition of the Transylvania 90210 classic, “Look What The Bats Dragged In”, they sound as incendiary as ever. The roaring crowds are inescapable, as Weds and co barrel through this high-octane ripper with devilish delight.

WEDNESDAY comments:
“Oh my God, look at what the bats dragged in. There’s no better way to start a WEDNESDAY 13 show than with this graveyard banger. The Poison parody title is still admired to this day. ‘Look What The Bats Dragged In’ was the first track from the first WEDNESDAY 13 album, it’s fast, furious and never fails to get the audience in a frenzy. This track sets the pace for the whole live album.”

A career spanning set of both WEDNESDAY 13 and Murderdolls hits, the band journeys through Mr. Motherfucker’s extensive catalogue on Un-Alive from Pol’and’Rock 2025. With Murderdolls classics like “Summertime Suicide” and “197666”, Weds takes us from the beginning through his solo catalog, featuring Transylvania 90210 hits “Look What The Bats Dragged In” and “Bad Things”, The Dixie Dead’s “Too Fast For Blood”, Horrifier’s “Good Day To Be A Bad Guy”, and a plethora of bangers from Mid Death Crisis including “In Misery”, “When The Devil Commands”, and “Rotting Away”. A bloody good time from beginning to end, this album is meant to be heard with the windows down, your accelerator through the floor, and bats on the moonlit horizon.

SCHANDMAUL Release New Single ‘Sternensegler’ with Official Music Video

Just a few days after announcing their new album, Sternensegler, set for release on September 11, 2026, via Napalm Records, SCHANDMAUL are unveiling the album’s title track along with its accompanying music video today. With their twelfth studio album, the German folk-rock legends are opening a new chapter in the band’s history, as Sternensegler marks their first album featuring vocalist Till Herence.

With their new lineup, SCHANDMAUL are reaching for the stars, and the title track perfectly reflects this fresh beginning. Upbeat melodies meet lyrics filled with hope and optimism, creating an uplifting and inspiring atmosphere. While the past few years have not always been easy, SCHANDMAUL have remained united, facing every challenge with strength, resilience, and their trademark spirit.  Sternensegler stands as a powerful testament to that journey.

SCHANDMAUL about the new single:
“Ladies and gentlemen, this is your captain speaking. We’ve got a tailwind and are finally taking off again. Wherever this journey takes us, we’re on board together and ready for whatever lies ahead.”

SCHANDMAUL rise from the rough sea convincingly and make for calmer, sparkling waters led by their valiant captain, Thomas Lindner. Expanded by longtime companion Till Herence, the crew works together seamlessly on Sternensegler—turning the album itself into the guiding star for their new direction.

SCHANDMAUL about the new album:
“Our Sternensegler rises powerfully like a phoenix from the ashes—and that same strength is reflected in these new songs. They symbolize rebirth and are a sign of unity and friendship. That’s how you deal with setbacks. Giving up was never an option for us. Let’s look ahead and set sail for new horizons!”

Pre-order your copy of Sternensegler NOW

Sternensegler sets its sails with “Nimm alles mit” (Engl. “take everything with you”). SCHANDMAUL paint a positive image with their opening track, casting off from their previous port fueled by joy and luck, and leave the dark echo of their recent past behind with an enticing arc of suspense. The title track, “Sternensegler”, offers fans a hand, while “Beide Füße in der Luft” (Engl. “both feet in the air”) shows the harsher side of the band early on while simultaneously emphasizing the voice of Till Herence, which carries SCHANDMAUL through dire times. Following, they hoist up their “Flagge” (Engl. flag): the song is a clear political statement supporting diversity, both a warning and encouragement—we stand together! “Nosferatu” and “Wo Sprache aufhört” (Engl. “where language ends”) again show a calmer side of the band that has been a regular in the top 5 of the Official German Album Charts for years, reaching the top position in 2016 with LeuchtFeuer. Then, “In der Hand” (Engl. “in hand”), the first single they ever released with their new frontman in 2025, finds its album home. “Things will never quiet down around us,” SCHANDMAUL already stated back then with the lyric “Um uns wird es niemals leise”—Sternensegler proves it. Exhilerating “An beiden Enden” (Engl. “at both ends”) brings sing-along parts and purposefulness. After “Lass nicht los” (Engl. “don’t let go”) comes “Trag dich” (Engl. “carry you”), a love ballad, before “Zwei Raben” (Engl. “two ravens”), feat. Laura Fella (Faun), leads the ship into a safe new haven.

ULTHIMA Release First Single ‘White Raven’ from Upcoming Sophomore Album

Approach of the long awaited second album release of epic melodeath ambassador Ulthima is being announced with an opening single “White Raven”. From Monterrey Mexico, to Helsinki Finland, the band came to be known in the Finnish metal scene with their Debut album “Symphony of the Night” in 2021, and is set to release their second full album in the autumn of 2026.

“White Raven” explores the journey from fearing death to accepting it as a natural part of existence. Guided by the symbol of the White Raven, the song blends mythological imagery and reflection on mortality, portraying death not as an end, but as a passage into eternity.

–ISRC: FI3FC2656201
–Composition & lyrics: Ricardo Escobar

The guitarist and composer Ric tells about the song: “White raven is one of the last songs I wrote for this album. It’s one of those that come out of nowhere with just one small riff and rapidly developed in a full length song. It always felt very organic while it was put together and definitely one of the best ones in the album.

Lyric wise I wanted a deep topic for it. While it is a bit cliche talking about death and all that, I felt it was a fitting for this song as it is something we can all relate to.

With this album, we set out to sharpen and define our identity as a band. Instead of pursuing a polished, overly perfected production, we embraced a rawer and more organic sound that captures the intensity and spirit of our music. We wanted the album to feel alive—heavy, aggressive, and honest—while preserving the human element that often gets lost in modern productions. The result is our most authentic release to date, a record that reflects who we are as musicians and delivers our vision with power, atmosphere, and conviction.”

Ulthima is a band that originated back in 2010 in Monterrey Mexico, the band went on hiatus until 2018 in Helsinki Finland. Where the band finally consolidated its members and finished their first full length album Symphony of the Night. In mid 2024 the band started the recording of their second full length album Midnight’s Call, which will be released in the fall of 2026.

Ricardo Escobar: Guitar
Luca Guagneli: Guitar
Antonio Valdés: Bass
Niko Sutinen: Keyboards
Ville Nummisalo: Drums
Tuomas Antila: Vocals

NUMENTO Release New Song ‘One With The Void’ about Metaphorical Portrayal of a Painful Death

Posted by tarjavirmakari on June 18, 2026
Posted in: Int. News, News. Tagged: NUMENTO. Leave a comment

“One With The Void” is a metaphorical portrayal of a painful death, through which Numento, a Finnish progressive melodeath band, briefly returns to its older musical roots. The story behind the song draws inspiration from a particularly sinister and fascinating natural phenomenon: the fungus Ophiocordyceps unilateralis, better known as the zombie-ant fungus, which infects carpenter ants. The fungus takes complete control of its host, manipulates its behavior, and forces the ant to climb high into vegetation before its inevitable end.

Appropriately for its subject matter, the song moves through agonizingly oppressive atmospheres, twisting in pain before an unavoidable dark death — only for the cycle of infection to start again, over and over. The phenomenon and narrative can also be seen as reflections of human behavioral patterns, particularly in the worlds of crime, manipulation and cults.

Listen to the single on music services (Spotify, Apple Music, Deezer, Tidal, Amazon Music etc.): https://push.fm/fl/numento-onewiththevoid

–ISRC: FIAA12600002
–Composition & arrangement: Atte Asikainen, Katri Hiovain-Asikainen, Simo Mattila, Aleksi Vehmassalo, Mikko Virtanen, Jouni Aaltonen (taiteilijanimi Johnny Grinds)
–Lyrics Katri Hiovain-Asikainen, Atte Asikainen
–Produced by Christian Herrle & Atte Asikainen

Musically, the composition combines the trademark contrasts that have become characteristic of Numento: brutality and melancholy intertwined with diverse vocal expressions and memorable guitar melodies. “One With The Void” is part of an upcoming EP scheduled for release later this year.

Numento:
Atte Asikainen – Guitar & backing vocals
Katri Hiovain-Asikainen – Vocals & kantele
Johnny Grinds – Bass & backing vocals
Aleksi Vehmassalo – Guitar
Mikko Virtanen – Drums

MARC AMACHER Releases Second Single + Video ‘Rolling And Tumble’ from Upcoming Album

Posted by tarjavirmakari on June 18, 2026
Posted in: Int. News, News. Tagged: MARC AMACHER. Leave a comment

MARC AMACHER has released ‘Rolling And Tumble’, the second lead single from his upcoming new studio album ‘Overdrive’, which is due to be released on 7 August via Hoboville.

“Rolling and Tumble” showcases MARC AMACHER at his most unadulterated: raw blues rock, played straight from the moment, driven by an unstoppable groove. Here, the Swiss musician distils the classic blues impulse of constant movement and new beginnings into a modern rock statement that deliberately eschews any glossy polish.

The song thrives on an uncompromising, almost physical soundscape – guitars, rhythm and vocals interlock like a running engine. The lyrics explore identity in a state of flux, the act of pressing on despite obstacles, and the principle of never truly standing still.

Visually, too, this attitude is consistently explored: street-sign aesthetics, fragmented depictions of figures and superimposed lyrics form the image of a character who is constantly moving between places, thoughts and states. “Rolling and Tumble” is thus not a classic blues song, but a contemporary rock track about movement as a principle of life.

OVERDRIVE is not a retro blues album. It is a statement. Eleven tracks ranging from earthy blues to modern rock, all underpinned by an uncompromising attitude – like an amplifier on the verge of distortion. Recorded raw, driven by genuine performance and raw energy.

From the opener “Hell Yeah (Here I Am)” to the finale “Ain’t the Man”, the album follows a clear thread: no excuses, no masks – movement as a response, not an escape. “Streets Are Golden” speaks to all those who have fallen but keep going nonetheless, whilst “Cash Smash Boogie” dismantles the myth of money with irony and groove.

A pivotal moment is the duet “You Can’t Beat Time” – two voices in tension, no romance. The realisation remains: time doesn’t play fair. It wins.

OVERDRIVE is not nostalgia. It is the present, raw and gritty – forged in real time, on the street of vitality.

Hardly any Swiss blues musician lives the blues as uncompromisingly as MARC AMACHER. He has been on the road for over two decades. He became known to a wider audience through The Voice of Germany, where he reached the final with his “MARC-edged” voice.

Since then, he has shared the stage with musicians such as Eric Clapton, Billy F. Gibbons (ZZ Top), Robbie Williams and The BossHoss, without ever losing his own signature style. For Amacher, it’s not about perfection, but about attitude and music that moves you.

Last year, his album LOAD was released, reaching number 1 in the Swiss album charts.

His new album, OVERDRIVE, is being promoted with a roadshow across Switzerland, with the kit firmly mounted on a rolling riser and the show stripped down to the essentials. The band in the van, trailer attached, off we go – rock ’n’ roll. True to the motto: “Let’s do straight-up music for real people.” See you down the road.

TDW Released New Album “Bane Of The Talebearer OST”

Posted in: Int. News, News. Tagged: TDW, Tom de Wit. Leave a comment

TDW is the name under which writer, composer and creator Tom de Wit releases every kind of art he makes.

Ranging from unique genre-bending music on albums like “The Antithetic Affiliation” (2017), “The Days The Clockm Stopped” (2020) and “Fountains” (2021) in the progressive metal genre, to strange YouTube coversongs in his own style, to multimedia projects like Bane of the Talebearer and the documentaries he made of multiple music festivals.

At this point in time in June 2026, the newest album under the TDW name is called “Bane of The Talebearer OST” and this is a grand musical work comprising of 73 songs that soundtrack the entire universe of Bane of the Talebearer.

Anything that has artistic merit and is made by Tom can be called TDW and that is exactly why it stands on it’s own. A multi-headed artistic endeavour that can take many shapes and sizes.
