Anger, Distorted (Hatred, Devoted)
A misunderstood and overheard part of the population.
An increase of 71% of medicated Danes, within the latest 10 years.
70% of those affected, are outside the labor market or without a job.
A scary 35% percent is convicted of an act of crime.
A congenital disorder.
Misunderstood and overheard by the surroundings and those closest to you.
Without guilt and at times imposed with a life, put into mental chains.
“Anger Distorted” humbly gives you the biggest respect to you all.

Today, Danish heavy metallers METAL CROSS team up with Metal Shock Finland to premiere their new video and single “Anger Distorted”, for Finland, check it out below.

Thirty-eight years after their first rehearsal, seven years after their now mythical concert reunion at Metal Magic Festival, Danish cult heavy metal band METAL CROSS announced, in 2022, their first studio album, “Soul Ripper”. The upcoming and long-awaited full-length record showed a band on top of their game, melting together the classic heavy metal of their now cult 80’s demos “Crucifying The Virgins” and “M.A.D.H.O.U.S.E.” with a renewed power and energy. It will indeed rip your soul and leave you thirsty for more from this Scandinavian heavy metal powerhouse.

It all began in 1983.

During the eighties and prior to the break up in 1989, Metal Cross released two demo tapes: “Metal Cross” and demo 2 “M.A.D.H.O.U.S.E.” The band also contributed on two compilation albums. The band played concerts all over Denmark and shared scenes with other major danish metal bands such as Artillery and Invocater. Metal Cross played the bands last concert in the hometown of Randers on December 16, 1989 – shortly after the band dissolved.

In 2009, one of the band members were contacted by the record company Horror Records asking if the band would approve the company’s release of the band’s two demo tapes in a vinyl format. After a long period of time trying to retrieve the material from the old day’s, an agreement was reached to release the songs from the two old tapes. In addition, it was decided that the recording of the very last Metal Cross concert could also be used. In 2014 the double vinyl album “Metal Cross” was released. One LP with demo recordings and the other with the concert from 1989. In addition to this, a 7” bonus single with two live songs from another concert was released.

Following the release, Metal Cross was persuaded to play a single gig at the Metal Magic Festival in 2014. Prior to the festival performance, the band played a warm-up gig for Artillery. After 26 years, Artillery and Metal Cross stood on the same stage one more time! The two jobs exceeded all expectations, and Metal Cross is back in full action again, and has played several festival gigs in Denmark and always with great feedback from the audience.

In 2019 the former singer Henrik “Faxe” left the band and Esben Fosgerau Juhl took over his place and went directly into the studio. Metal Cross has since been doing and recording new material through the last couple of years and they’re now ready to end the long wait for a first album with “Soul Ripper”. Metal Cross ambitions are not to be mistaken. They will hit all the small underground stages, to the bigger festivals, and aim for a European tour as well.

“Soul Ripper” was released on LP (marbled orange/black and marbled grey/white vinyls, each limited to 300 units), CD and digital formats via From The Vaults on February 2022.

Dark singer-songwriter project THE DEVIL’S TRADE will be releasing a new album, ‘Vidékek vannak idebenn,’ on July 14, 2023 via Season of Mist! The album details, track list, and artwork can be found below! In celebration, THE DEVIL’S TRADE is sharing the first single, “Flashing Through the Lack of Light,” along with a music video! Watch at THIS LOCATION.

THE DEVIL’S TRADE comments: “‘Vidékek vannak idebenn’ (There’s Landscapes Within) arrived in my life at a time and space where the more than decade-long period leading up to this phase in life ended, but the following one, the homecoming was albeit visible, but hasn’t yet started. This paralyzed state of floating wasn’t enough for me to make a record, I had to switch from the well-functioning, unconscious creation to a different way and to different depths.

“‘Flashing Trough The Lack Of Light’ is one of the most peaceful songs I have ever written. In this period of my life, I finally see a way out from the city far from people back to the mountains and the river where I spent the most beautiful and influential times of my childhood. This exodus is the manifestation of what I have been focusing on mentally and psychically for the last few years. This song is about finding my inner peace.“

Pre-orders are now live HERE while the album can be pre-saved on all streaming platforms HERE.

The cover artwork for ‘Vidékek vannak idebenn’ was created by Bálint Benkő (Volume Of Voids).

Track-list:
1. Felkelék én (3:17)
2. Flashing Through the Lack of Light (6:28) [WATCH]
3. Vidékek vannak idebenn (8:19)
4. Clear Like the Wind (5:36)
5. Liminal (6:42)
6. Fordulj kedves lovam (6:27)
7. All Kings Must Fall (3:30)
8. Új hajnal már nem jő (4:44)

liminal
/ˈlɪmɪnl/
adjective
TECHNICAL

  1. occupying a position at, or on both sides of, a boundary or threshold.

“I was in the liminal space between past and present”

It is of no surprise liminal space is a key element in the next phase of The Devil’s Trade’s fourth album, ’Vidékek vannak idebenn’ (a title that loosely translates to ’There Are Landscapes Within’) as Dávid Makó, the man behind the moniker has indeed arrived to a threshold in his career, where the phase starting with his self-released debut ’Those Miles We Walked Alone’ ended after his latest album ’The Call of the Iron Peak’. The concept of liminal space itself is a not necessarily pleasant state of mind where you left behind your old life, but new doors haven’t exactly opened just yet.

As Makó states ’The process my first three records pieced together ended, that was no path for me to take anymore, but to take a step forward I had to make decisions I wasn’t inspired enough to make.’ – and from this frustrated, sort of paralyzed state of floating, a new incarnation of The Devil’s Trade was born and so was ‘Vidékek vannak idebenn’ along with it.

While still true to his solo artist roots, delivering gut-wrenching melodies of darkness and beauty on his own, Makó needed an expansion to his universe. With the addition of long-time friend and former bandmate Gáspár Binder on drums and a live keyboard player, he finally took the much needed step forward and ‘Vidékek vannak idebenn’ portrays the next sonic phase of The Devil’s Trade.

A soundtrack to the next phase of his life. A soundtrack to souls stuck in liminal space, hungry to adapt to new realities and to grow further, outside the boundaries which so often shackle them.

Power metal masters GLORYHAMMER have released their second single, “Holy Flaming Hammer of Unholy Cosmic Frost”, from their upcoming fourth album, Return to the Kingdom of Fife, out June 2, 2023 via Napalm Records! GLORYHAMMER entered the global charts with their previous hit album (peaking at #6 on the official German charts) and have already received great attention with their first new album single! The track left fans anxiously awaiting more and proved that the band is ready to reclaim the lost Kingdom with the use of the mighty and majestic Holy Flaming Hammer!

GLORYHAMMER state:
“Mighty warriors! His Imperial Dundaxian Highness King Angus McFife, the First of His Name, Lord of Dundee, Scion of Pitlochry and the Outer Reaches of Aviemore, Thane of Auchtermuchty, Celestial Regent of the East Neuk and All Other Locations Unknown to Mankind, hereby invites you to his mighty citadel of Dundee to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the defeat of Zargothrax and his imprisonment in the frozen pool of liquid ice!
Behold the mighty city in all its splendors, defended by the invincible Knights of Crail, and join in the revels for a great feast in the Marketgait Courtyard! Many flagons of ale shall be quaffed, and the grAnd8&^3*J@W8,..12(*48jA?/SD…𝗜𝗡𝗜𝗧𝗜𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗜𝗡𝗧𝗘𝗥𝗗𝗜𝗠𝗘𝗡𝗦𝗜𝗢𝗡𝗔𝗟 𝗦𝗨𝗕𝗦𝗣𝗔𝗖𝗘 𝗥𝗘𝗟𝗔𝗬…𝗜𝗡𝗖𝗢𝗠𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗧𝗥𝗔𝗡𝗦𝗠𝗜𝗦𝗦𝗜𝗢𝗡…𝗔𝗖𝗧𝗜𝗩𝗔𝗧𝗘 𝗭𝗔𝗥𝗚𝗢𝗧𝗛𝗥𝗔𝗫 𝗖𝗟𝗢𝗡𝗘 𝗔𝗟𝗣𝗛𝗔 𝟭.”

In the not-so-distant Kingdom of Fife, there lies a band like no other. GLORYHAMMER embodies the very essence of power metal and epic fantasy, with a sound so majestic and grandiose that it could only be the work of the gods themselves. Led by the manifestation of extreme trumpet-chaos in battle-mode, GLORYHAMMER has been waging a never-ending fight against the forces of Zargothrax since their formation in 2010.

With their soaring hyper-melodies, multitudinous orchestra-explosions and thunderous nano-guitar riffs, they have become the undisputed champions of the power metal scene, drawing in legions of fans from across the galaxy with their epic tales of intergalactic warfare, cosmic sorcery, and heroic deeds. It has been four years since the band’s last release, but the wait is finally over for another massive onslaught of power metal greatness.

With the journey back to Fife, Return to the Kingdom of Fife starts with trumpeting horns to lead them into battle, before jumping straight into “Holy Flaming Hammer of the Unholy Cosmic Frost”, telling the tale of reclaiming the lost Kingdom with the use of the mighty and majestic Holy Flaming Hammer. But the evil wizard has laid waste all over the Kingdom after the devastating war of Dundee, forming the nuclear wasteland of “Imperium Dundaxia”. Crossing through the diseased Kingdom, the mighty Hootsman and his warriors ride on nuclear motorbikes as the “Wasteland Warrior Hoots Patrol” fights goblins and controls the law of the land. The Grandmaster Proletius leads his “Brothers of Crail” to fight together and defeat the evil wizard Zargothrax. Rising to the occasion, the brave prince Angus McFife brings together warriors from across the land to fight in the name of “Fife Eternal”! Onwards on their journey, the mighty heroes must cross through the Dwarven Caverns and defeat the “Sword Lord of the Goblin Horde” to ignite the path to retrieve the legendary weapon known as the “Vorpal Laserblaster of the Pittenweem”…but our heroes are too late, for the weapon has been stolen by a great force of evil! The great journey comes to its climax as the evil sorcerer and master of nightmares, Zargothrax, wields ungodly power as the “Keeper of the Celestial Flame of Abernethy”, and the group of mighty warriors come together in one final attempt vanquish the evil double wizards from the Kingdom of Fife in “Maleficus Geminus (Colossus Matrix 38B – Ultimate Invocation of the Binary Thaumaturge)”.

This is an album for the ages – power metal shines brighter than ever on the thrilling and action-packed Return to the Kingdom of Fife!”

GLORYHAMMER on the album:
“Hoots! We are proud to teleport you all to as-of-yet unknown mountaintops of extreme-trumpet-confoundry with this new opus! Several orchestras were maimed during the production process, which we think reflects adequately in the hyper-sonic nano-recordings we have inscribed on disc for you to peruse. Many battles await!”

CRAFT will be playing in support of their latest album “White Noise and Black Metal”. The amazing cover, which has been created by renowned Polish artist Zbigniew Bielak.

Track-list
1. The Cosmic Sphere Falls (4:56)
2. Again (4:15)
3. Undone (6:39)
4. Tragedy of Pointless Games (6:27)
5. Darkness Falls (4:50)
6. Crimson (4:49)
7. Shadow (5:40)
8. White Noise (4:42)
Total: 42:18

By dry definition, white noise denotes a random signal having equal intensity at different frequencies, giving it a constant power spectral density. It has been commonly employed in electronic music and denotes for instance the sound of a non-existent radio station, while searching through the spectrum for a signal. For black metal it denotes the yin to the yang of the will to shape forms and patterns of melodies and rhythms and as such has a constant presence.

CRAFT have chosen their title as a perfect description of this symbiotic relationship into which the seeming contrast and contradiction of black and white enters. With ‘White Noise and Black Metal’, the Swedes return to strength after a long hiatus following the release of previous full-length, ‘Void’ (2011). The forthcoming album combines the vitriolic virtues of ‘Terror Propaganda’ (2002) with an updated songwriting that is as mature and intelligent as it is razor-sharp. The fast and furious of extreme metal contrasts with dark and depressive passages with added undertones of black ‘n’ roll.

CRAFT embodies the black metal virtue of raw spiritual energy expressed through violent, ripping guitar-work and unholy rhythms enhanced by demonic vocals. The Swedes have long enjoyed a massive cult status within underground circles, yet also gained strong acclaim and recognition by mainstream metal media and critics.

CRAFT were spawned by guitarist Joakim, who was joined by a friend on drums in late 1994. Lead guitarist John was added to the roster in 1996 but left in 1998 only to return about a year later. A demo entitled ‘Total Eclipse’ hit the world in 1999, which led to a first record deal. During the recording of their crushing debut ‘Total Soul Rape’ (2000), the Swedes were reinforced by vocalist Nox. This misanthropic album captured the ear of SHINING’s Niklas Kvarforth, who released sophomore opus ‘Terror Propaganda’ in 2002 on his own label. With their extremely dark music the group gained much acclaim by critics and fans alike. CRAFT continued to build and expand their typical hateful and destructive style by adding ‘Fuck the Universe’ (2005) and ‘Void’ (2011) to the list of their albums. Meanwhile bass player Alex had joined and with their completed line-up the band finally became a live entity in September 2014.

Now CRAFT are ready to take a giant step in their career with the extremely strong, ‘White Noise and Black Metal’. This is misanthropic Swedish black metal honed to perfection.

On June 23rd BMG proudly release Gary Moore’s The Sanctuary Years boxset, a remarkable collection of his powerful and emotive studio recordings.

The Sanctuary Years boxset contains 4 incredible albums from Moore’s time at the prestigious label. This deluxe package features the albums; A Different Beat, Back To The Blues, Scars and Power of The Blues, whilst all contain new liner notes written by Dave Everley. Furthermore, the boxset includes a 5.1 (Edited) Mix of Back To The Blues and select interviews on Blu-ray, assorted stickers, poster and further memorabilia.

Gary Moore rocked the world of Blues and Rock with his virtuoso guitar playing and soulful voice. Best known for his evocative solo hits, Parisienne Walkways and Still Got the Blues, and his on/off membership of Thin Lizzy, Gary Moore’s solo career comprises over twenty albums. Throughout the 1980s, Gary moved up the rock hierarchy, but turned his back on what he regarded as the empty flash of metal and reverted to his heart music – the blues – where ironically, he scored his biggest commercial success through his 1990s and 2000s blues albums.

As well as running his own bands, during a successful solo career, Gary mixed with the best that rock and blues could offer, playing live and on record with George Harrison, Jack Bruce, Ginger Baker, Greg Lake, BB King, Albert King, Albert Collins and many others. Gary Moore is regarded as one of the most influential Irish musicians of all time. Having been honored by both Gibson and Fender with signature guitars, the Northern Irish star is still seen as one of the best guitar players of all time.

The first album in The Sanctuary Years boxset A Different Beat, was Gary Moore’s 12th solo album, where he explored new areas of blues and rock. Originally released in 1999 the album includes the bonus track ‘Can’t Help Myself (E-Z Rollers Remix)’.

Two years later, Back To The Blues was released and found Gary reconnecting with the blues after a few years of musical experimentation and gave him a Number 6 album on the US Blues chart. Back To The Blues now includes three bonus tracks.

Originally released in 2002 Scars saw Gary really cutting loose in a fashion that mirrored those bands he had grown up listening to. “Scars was all about getting back to a kind of 60s thing,” Moore said in 2003. “It had a very Hendrix-y feel about the whole thing – the Band Of Gypsys and the improvisation thing.” Moore had retained Primal Scream drummer Darrin Mooney, who had impressed him so much during the Back To The Blues sessions and added bassist Cass Lewis (Skunk Anansie) to complete the power trio.

Concluding the boxset is 2004’s Power Of The Blues, and no matter how far his musical wanderings took him, Gary Moore always returned to one place: the blues. Bassist and old friend Bob Daisley (Rainbow, Ozzy Osbourne) joined Gary and Darrin Mooney on this ten track album.
