TWILIGHT FORCE are excited to share the final bonus track from their latest opus At the Heart of Wintervale. ‘The Sapphire Dragon of Arcane Might is Back Again‘ reveals one last story to be told from this album of tales from the Twilight Kingdoms. In addition, the symphonic power metallers have also delivered an orchestral version of the previously released song ‘The Last Crystal Bearer‘.

Listen to ‘The Sapphire Dragon of Arcane Might is Back Again‘ here.

TWILIGHT FORCE comments:
“Harken ye, knights of the mortal realms!
Behold the release of our final bonus song; ‘The Sapphire Dragon of Arcane Might is Back Again’ – with excerpts from three familiar Twilight Force songs reimagined in a sparkling medieval and orchestral setting, evoking memories of olden times and great deeds of yore. Featuring the beautifully ethereal singing voice and guitarwork of our venerated wood elf Aerendir, this song is a tribute to the legends and lore of the Twilight Kingdoms, and a way to reminisce about times long gone and songs from the past.
So come, brave adventurers, stay a while and listen, as our elven bard leads you on a journey of magic and mystery!
Additionally, you can hereby also enjoy the full orchestral version of ‘The Last Crystal Bearer’; the dramatic story of Blackwald’s exile from the Arcane University, and his grand quest to find and gather the Crystal Bearers. We hope that you will discover new and exciting details throughout this symphonic odyssey!”

Guitarist Jesse J. Heikkinen (The Abbey, Iterum Nata) and vocalist King Aleijster de Satan (King Satan, Saturnian Mist) have teamed up for a mind-bending progressive black metal project, HENGET. The emerging Finnish band is now premiering the title track from its upcoming debut full-length, ‘Beyond North Star,’ along with a music video. The clip can be found at THIS LOCATION.

HENGET comments, “The titular song of the album grasps perhaps the best the band’s psychedelic and progressive elements in the balance of solid artistic vision and chaotic channeling. Drawing inspiration from the world of occult and the ways of ancient Shamanism, ‘Beyond North Star’ depicts a violent hallucinatory journey to the depths of the mind and beyond with a psychedelic outlook.

The band adds:
Every person at least once in his life thinks about his end, and this end is not pampered. Macabre is a track of the same name as the future record that fully conveys our present, and as long as our country has been shrouded in war, every day can be the last. Macabra is a dance of death in which the final is always the same.

ANDROMIDA Releases New Single ‘Conquer’, Feat. Fight The Fade

FiXT is proud to announce the roster signing of Rock Metal Djent artist Andromida.

“Labels have always been something I’ve been skeptical of as an independent musician. I’ve heard the horror stories of all the bad deals floating out there in the industry. I knew that if I was ever going to sign with a label, it needed to be a label that truly put their artists first. FiXT is exactly that. I’m excited to be part of the FiXT family and look forward to our future endeavors.” – Ramon Gutierrez, Andromida

Andromida is a one man metal project by composer and producer, Ramon Gutierrez. Diagnosed as legally blind at a young age, Ramon naturally felt a strong connection with music. At the age of 3, he began learning the violin. While learning the violin, it quickly became apparent that he was unable to read sheet music provided by his teachers, but that didn’t stop him. He went on to learn the instrument by ear, eventually playing pieces by composers like Bach at a very young age. At the age of 11, Ramon decided to take on the guitar. Just like the violin, he learned completely by ear, only this time he did not have any help from teachers. Ramon is entirely self-taught on guitar.

Eventually he became fascinated with the idea of writing and producing music. He spent hours upon hours, days upon days, teaching himself how to arrange songs, produce, and mix and master his own music in his late high school years. During his time in college, Ramon began taking steps to start pursuing music professionally.  After trying and failing several times to form a band, he eventually decided to take on the endeavor by himself, thus starting Andromida in 2016.

Since 2016, Andromida’s music has reached over 2,000,000 listeners on Spotify as well as amassing over 50,000 social media followers, including 20,000 subscribers to his YouTube channel.

“We’re extremely proud to welcome Andromida to the FiXT roster. He’s already established himself as a tour-de-force instrumental artist and producer, and I can’t wait to see him unlock even more reach with a full album of vocal features and the support of the FiXT team behind him.” – James Rhodes (FiXT Vice President & Co-Founder)

“Really excited to bring Andromida into the FiXT family. His blend of heavy riffs, smashing beats, and retro synths are sure to make many of you new fans if you’re not familiar with him already. Help me welcome Andromida to the FiXT family by giving him a follow and checking out his new track “Conquer” feat. Fight the Fade.” – Klayton (Celldweller, Scandroid, Circle Of Dust, FiXT President & Co-Founder)

The signing kicks off with a brutal rock single “Conquer” (feat. Fight The Fade) the next single to materialize on the FiXT: Radium Compilation. With an aggressive vocal performance from Fight The Fade front man Zene Smith, coupled with provocative lyrics Andromida pushes the dial to one hundred. The track encompasses both brutal and ethereal elements, pushing heavy guitars with syncopated synthesizers. The result is a both an atmospheric single wrapped around a metalcore finish for a savage introduction to FiXT‘s newest signed artist as he explores the human condition.

“I’m always heavily inspired by epic soundtracks and crazy synths, so I really wanted to make a song that pulled from those inspirations while still being a very hooky and catchy song,” explains Andromida. “The end result is something that I think is super unique but still feels familiar. It’s no doubt a catchy metal/rock song, but there are some really unconventional uses of synths here. Several of the guitar riffs actually have synths running through guitar amps replacing certain notes of what was originally written with guitars, giving certain riffs a really cold and robotic feel to them which I think adds so much to the song.“

Finnish Doom Metal monolith ASTRAL SLEEP have gone through their second line-up change during 19 years.

The band shared:

“Aaro Haverinen, the guitar player on the 3rd album (”Astral Doom Musick”) and the 4th album (”We Are Already Living in The End of Times”), has stepped out of the band to focus on his main band Bloody Heathen. The original guitarist, and a founding member Rolle Heinonen has made a comeback to Astral Sleep, but this time as an occasional keyboard player. We thank Aaro for the years of successful service, and welcome Rolle back with excitement!”

“The new lead guitar player for Astral Sleep is Santeri Kangasmetsä. He is a long-time fan, an actor in our (yet unreleased) music video, and a former band mate to the vocalist Markus Heinonen in Santeri’s own band Chaotic Sanity, and showed enthusiasm like no other when we searched for a new member. We have already done a lot of great art and some live shows together with Santeri and feel that the Astral Sleep is currently in it’s peak power!”

The concert will take place on April 16th at Källarbyn in Stockholm, Sweden. More information at https://www.facebook.com/events/189445833817530.

Tuomas shared:
“Since releasing the Bear Awakener, I plan to host a concert every spring to celebrate the awakening bears. Traditionally that day was April 14th and marked a pivotal moment of the spring.
This year the concert takes place at a whimsical Källarbyn at Stockholm, Old town. Next Sunday April 16th. Come and enjoy a full evening with Bear myths and ancient songs!”

Källarbyn venue adds:
“Acclaimed Finish violinist, composer and devote ancient music researcher TUOMAS ROUNAKARI – by some called The Shaman-Violinist – will be in Sweden only for this Källarbyn concert.
Which is both a realese concert of his new album -Bear Awakener- and a tribute concert to the awakening bear, who wakes around this particular date in April.
Do you want to wake the inner sleeping mythic bear within you? Are you interested in archaic music, ancient roots of northern music, old instruments like the Siberian Ning-juh, want to welcome the spring, or simply want an intense, hypnotic and suggestive folk music experience – don’t miss this unique oportunity to see Tuomas Rounakari live in Sweden.”

TUOMAS ROUNAKARI released his acclaimed solo album “Bear Awakener” on April 14th 2022!

Awakening the Bear is a symbol of succumbing to the greater forces of existence. Awakening a new energy while being more connected to the ancient. And first and foremost – opening to a dialogue with mythical entities and re-creating harmonious and long lasting relationships with our surroundings, including human and non-human beings, seen and unseen worlds.

The songs in this album are formed by Khanty, Mansi, Carelian and Finnish ancestors. They carry a resonance of those before us who were better equipped to collaborate with nature in a sustainable and self-sufficient way. Such songs have always been Tuomas’ best teachers.

“This is music that gods are listening to” said Pekko Käppi after having listened through the freshly finished mastered tracks.

The album coverart was created by Karolina Pärnänen.

“Bear Awakener” tracklisting:

  1. First Morning
  2. In the Land of the Bear
  3. Man with a Bear’s Snout
  4. Second Morning
  5. Song of a Small Goose
  6. Origin of the Bear
  7. Third Morning
  8. Bear Clan Girl
  9. Man-observing-the-world
  10. Roopeska’s Bear Hunt
  11. Last Morning – Departure
    Running Time: 42,10 min.

“Bear Awakener” was recorded, mixed and mastered at the Verde Studio with the gear-wizard Mika Rintala. None of his modular synthesizers were used. All of the equipment used in recording was built by Mika – microphones, pre-amps, EQ and even the mixing console and electrostatic monitors.

TUOMAS ROUNAKARI is an internationally acclaimed violinist, composer and ethnomusicologist from Finland. He is a one-man-band blending violin, vocals and stomping with ankle-bells. In his performance he enters various trance-states. In this album he will also be playing a traditional Khanty instrument called Ning-juh.

Tuomas is inspired by different forms of dialogue; man and nature, the seen and the unseen world, ancient and future. His first solo album Shamanviolin was a result of ethnomusicological studies of the earliest 20th century wax-cylinder recordings from Siberia. These studies have also led to many collaborations with indigenous artists. He is one of the few artists who have actually returned their art to native communities for evaluation and development.

Tuomas Rounakari solo performance has been selected to: World Cultures Festival in Hong Kong (2019), Arctic Arts Summit (2019), Nordiskt Ljus Festival in Sweden (2022), Festspillene Helgeland in Norway (2021), Nuuk Nordik Festival in Greenland, Kaustinen Folk Music Festival in Finland (2018, 2013, 2012), Helsingin Juhlaviikot and many others. He has also played the solo performance in several theaters such as Finnish National Theater in Helsinki, Merlin Szinhas Teater in Budapest, AlfredVeDvore in Prague, Ashurst Hall in Flagstaff USA among others.
