Italian noise rock/instrumental outfit CANI DEI PORTICI have shared the new single “Break Away”. Watch the animated video at THIS LOCATION.

CANI DEI PORTICI
will be releasing their new album, “Hype For Nothing”, on April 21st 2023 via Time To Kill Records.

The video of the album’s first single, “ASAP”, is still available HERE.

CANI DEI PORTICI offer an iridescent blend of instrumental sounds that embrace noise rock, post hardcore, stoner and much more.

“Hype For Nothing”
is a concept album about disappointment and life’s expectations, about unattainable hopes and dreams, about efforts made to gain nothing: African and Asian migrants who don’t make it to Europe through the Mediterranean Sea, a satisfying job or a good occupational pension that can never be reached, an untimely death, deferring what we would like to do until better times. The title is a joke about the album release.

Famous manga artist Shintaro Kago took care of the album cover artwork.

Tracklist:

Resiliency. The trials we face in life define who we are. Sleep Signals has been no stranger to adversity throughout their career, having dealt with a plethora of misfortunes culminating with a devastating bus wreck in 2021. During a tour with POD and From Ashes To New, the band’s bus was hit by a semi truck, destroying all of their equipment and causing severe injuries to several members. But through all of the setbacks, the band has remained dedicated to sharing their story and bringing their unique perspective to the rock/metal genre.

Blending their ability to create strong hooks with their high-energy song-writing style, the band manages to meld influences ranging from pop to hardcore, creating a soundscape that leads the listener on a journey filled with raw emotion. When you hear a song, you feel the song.

After an extended hiatus in 2021, the band returned to the stage in late 2022 and immediately began selling out shows across the Pacific Northwest. In 2023, the band was back in full force, touring nationally supporting the release of a new single, “One Life.” The single is heavily influenced by the challenges the group most recently experienced and follows up the band’s 2020 radio single, “Fireproof,” that climbed the charts, landing on Sirius XM’s Octane and over 80 FM stations across the U.S.

“Sleep Signals embodies the same DIY hustling ethic that Ice Nine Kills has used since the beginning. Great songs, and a work ethic that is quickly making this band stand out” says Spencer Charnas of (Ice Nine Kills).

Alex Varkatzas (Ex-Atreyu) adds, “Seeing Sleep Signals’ tireless work ethic and energetic live shows nightly, it’s only a matter of time before this band is a household name.”

Chilean MOURNUMENT Premiere New Live Acoustic Version of ‘Rimu’

Posted by tarjavirmakari on April 10, 2023
Posted in: Int. News, News. Tagged: MOURNUMENT. Leave a comment

After the successful release of their debut album “Smouldering Into Dust”, Chilean doom-death metallers MOURNUMENT continue to impress with a new acoustic version of their song “Rimu”, recorded live during a session in the heart of a forest. Stream it HERE.

MOURNUMENT comment:

“At the end of January 2023, Niklas, Alfredo, Krono and our dear friend Marcos (from Mortajas/Mourners Lament) took a journey to the bare origin of hopelessness. In our incessant wanderings and under the gloomy mantle of wine, we recorded some songs performed there. ‘Sembrando Caminos’ (Sowing paths) is how we call this acoustic session, made at the heart of the forest on the outskirts of Litueche, VI region, Chile, which we will be sharing with all of you as weeks pass by”.

MOURNUMENT started activities in 2021 after Niklas (Deveneror, ÆRA, Forestfather, Flesh Configuration) and A.P. (Sol Sistere, Concatenatus, The Ancient Doom) met and discussed the creation of a new artistic vessel, considering some musical styles that has not been well explored in their home country Chile, taking aspects of the deepest and most emotional tunes of traditional Chilean folklore, combined with a melancholic Doom Metal approach. After a few months of hard work, a full length album was created, and the experienced drummer C. Krono (Favna Abisal, The Ancient Doom) was recruited to complete the band’s line up.

MOURNUMENT will not hesitate in showing stark influences from fellow countrymen Uaral while embracing the melancholy of Agalloch together with the folk spirit of Empyrium. Their music is melancholy with elegantly adorned melodies which lulls the listener into a feeling of catharsis together with the funeral speech that the band presents to us.

“Smouldering Into Dust” is out now via Ardua Music.

Costa Rican GRANDIOSA MUERTE Signs with Wormholedeath for Upcoming Album “Egregor”

Posted by tarjavirmakari on April 10, 2023
Posted in: Int. News, News. Tagged: GRANDIOSA MUERTE. Leave a comment

GRANDIOSA MUERTE, the one-man-band project of Costa Rican musician Max Gutiérrez Sánchez, has officially signed with Wormholedeath Records for the release of their upcoming album “Egregor”. The album, which contains eight tracks in total, is set to release on May 5th, 2023, and promises to be a conduit for the occult, a channel for ancient spirits and forbidden knowledge not to be released upon the mortal plane.

In a statement, Max said, “It is with great honor that I announce my signing with the esteemed WormholeDeath label: a true personal milestone and materialization of invocations and rites that allows me to focus on the creative flow of what is to come and has been projected. Through this partnership, I am ready to bring my musical craft to a global audience who also seeks the exploration of the occult, knowing that I am fully backed by a longstanding entity like Wormhole Death. As we embark on this journey, may the darkness of the unknown bind this partnership.”

As a one-man band, Max Gutiérrez Sánchez pours his soul into every note, beat, and chord, summoning forth the spirits of the occult and the arcane. His music speaks of the secrets of the Tarot, the teachings of Blavatsky, the laws of Hermes Trismegistus, and the forgotten mysteries of the Mayan spirits. “Egregor” is a 30-minute sonic journey exploring the deepest depths of the human psyche and the beyond, a celebration of the dual aspect of the soul.

The album, containing eight tracks in total, was mixed and mastered by the experienced Colin Marston (Gorguts, Imperial Triumphant) in his studio Menegroth – The Thousand Caves (New York, USA). Grandiosa Muerte’s lineup consists solely of Max Gutiérrez Sánchez, who handles vocals, guitars, bass, synths, and programming.

Tracklist:

  1. Mercurio
  2. Destino
  3. Hereje
  4. Oculto
  5. Isis Sin Velo
  6. Arcano
