Femme sleaze rockers COBRA SPELL can’t get enough! Today, they unleash their third and final single before their eagerly awaited debut album, 666, drops this Friday, December 1, 2023 via Napalm Records. The new single, entitled “Warrior From Hell”, mesmerizes with melodies and absorbing drum patterns are topped off by raspy rock ‘n’ roll vocals on this W.A.S.P.-inspired anthem of runaways and rebels. It comes with another beguiling music video, which is in no way inferior to the album’s debut video, “S.E.X.”, that reached 100k views in no time after its release. GLASFOLD’s Debut Album “Nuovo Mondo” Out Now

GLASFOLD have released their debut album “Nuovo Mondo” (New World) and it’s now available on all digital platforms via Wanikiya Record.

Eleven tracks swinging between the guitar melodies of classic heavy metal and the steamroller of the thrash metal rhythm section. The voice is the peculiar element, because of the italian lyrics (with the exception of some rare english sentences) and because it easily jumps from one vocal technique to another: mainly clean and scream, but there’s also a tiny rap verse in one song.

Looking at the lyrics, this album is a rageful and disillusioned report about the world we live in. Relationships going adrift, the sensation of being mentally caged into the standards imposed by the society, the desire to run away from this cages and ask for help, the sadness due to the useless wars.

The band has already released three singles, each one with a videoclip, on their Youtube channel. The album has been mixed and mastered by Michele Guaitoli (Vision of Atlantis, Era, Temperance). The digital version is out on all digital platform via Wanikiya Record; physical copies can be purchased by contacting Glasfold on their social media.

Glasfold were officially born in 2021, when Dave joined the band. They immediately work hard at composing original music, where each member brings his own contribute and influences. The band quickly submits a demo to Michele Guaitoli, who appreciates it and becomes their producer.
The actual line-up comprehends:

  • Dave Cudicio
    : born 1988, he starts studying modern singing in 2012. He founds his first band in the
    same year (Full of Empty, one album released). He keeps studying with Michele Guaitoli and takes part to many seminars with Paola Folli, Michele Luppi and Jey Doublerice. He approaches extreme vocals,
    as an autodidact at first, and then he specializes in distorted vocals studying with Roberto Marconi and Matteo Ratti. Dave has released many songs during these years, going from 90s dance to nu metal.
  • Francesco Capello
    : born 1974, he starts playing electric guitar at the age of 16. Being passionate
    about those talented and virtuoso guitarists who left their mark during the 80/90s decades, he works to reproduce those sounds and make them personal. He’s been playing in several cover bands for years before joining Glasfold.
  • Lorenzo Grangetto
    : born 1998, he starts attending music propaedeutic classes at the age of 6. He’s
    been studying saxophone and drums at the same time for years so his influences come from many music genres, but metal is the heaviest one. He obtained a degree in classic saxophone in 2022 and is about to complete the Dante Agostini Drum School
    course with Erik Tulissio. He also works in his studio, recording acoustic drums tracks.
  • Stefano “Kampa” De Martin:
    born 1970, he grew up with thrash and heavy metal, like Slayer,
    Metallica and Iron Maiden. He’s a self-taught bass player and he’s been performing with Reaction and Doomsday for years before joining Glasfold.
  • Alessio Dorigo
    born 1969, he studied piano when he was a child, until he found out heavy metal and
    electric guitars. He begins to study Slayer and Metallica’s songs, ending up spending many nights awake playing with his friend and bandmate Francesco Capello. He has personally built one of the guitars he now uses on stage, with the help of a local luthier.

Polish heavy metal act CRYSTAL VIPER are releasing music video for “In The Haunted Chapel” single, which came out digitally earlier this year. It’s the first CRYSTAL VIPER video featuring Marta Gabriel on vocals and bass guitar (who played rhythm guitar between 2009 and 2022), and drummer Jakub Galwas, who joined CRYSTAL VIPER last year. 

“The music video is one thing, but we have some other cool news to share as well” says CRYSTAL VIPER front woman and founder, Marta Gabriel. “We started to work on a new studio album, which will come out in the Summer of 2024 on Listenable Records. We’re very proud of what we achieved on our latest album, “The Cult”, so from one side you can expect its natural continuation – especially when it comes to lyrics, which once again are inspired by the works of H.P. Lovecraft – but from the other side, we prepared few surprises and we will explore some new territories. About “Far From Glory” EP

Descent’s “Far From Glory” EP is a testament to their musical journey, marking a significant resurgence in the metal realm. The band embraced a unique approach, combining classic and modern recording techniques. Recording the EP at Mike’s home brought an authentic touch to the music, as they shied away from excessive studio manipulation.

Extensive research and a meticulous selection of equipment, including Reaper as their recording software, were pivotal. The band opted for minimal editing on the drums to preserve the human element, using sample blending to enhance the sound authentically. Guitars and bass added depth and intensity to their music, while vocals posed a distinct challenge, incorporating multiple layers and inward singing for a melodic intensity.

Following the recording phase, DESCENT sought the expertise of Skulltone Studios in Germany to refine their sound. The collaboration proved instrumental in achieving a polished, professional sound that stayed true to their artistic vision.

DESCENT: A Band with a History, A Future of Triumph

DESCENT’s journey through the world of music has been an eventful one, full of twists and turns. It all began with Brian and Mike, who bonded over their love for music in their early teens. Heavily influenced by iconic bands like Metallica, Nirvana, Green Day, and The Offspring, they spent countless hours jamming in Brian’s garage, performing at house parties, and connecting with the punk and skate scene in Deep Ellum, Dallas.

Life took them on separate paths in 2002, with Brian playing in various bands and Mike venturing into different musical endeavors. PESSIMIST Announce First European Tour Since 2009

While mixing for their long-awaited fourth album is already well underway, PESSIMIST aren’t wasting anytime announcing their plans for next year.

The California road warriors just announced their first tour dates of 2024. They’ll be slaughtering the faithful all across Europe with Reaping Flesh.

The tour kicks off next May in their tourmate’s home province of Rome, Italy. They’ll then initiate metalheads into their cult of brutal and blackened death metal from coastal France to Belgium, Holland and Austria, before grinding to a glorious and grueling finish at Czech Republic’s Nice to Eat You Deathfest.

One of the premiere bands to emerge out of the early Baltimore, MD death metal scene, with their 1993 demo Dark Reality, PESSIMIST played their first shows opening for national acts Incantation, Deicide, and Malevolent Creation. In 1995, the band self-released the EP Absence of Light on cassette and landed gigs opening for Testament, Forbidden, Suffocation, and Napalm Death.

In 1997 PESSIMIST signed to Lost Disciple Records and released their debut CD Cult of the Initiated, which charted on CMJ Top 40 Loud Rock Charts, and received acclaim from around the world. The band continued to play shows in the Mid-Atlantic region, opening for Cryptopsy, Nile, Gorguts, Dying Fetus, Vader, Monstrosity, and festival appearances at Milwaukee Metalfest XII, New England Metal and Hardcore Fest – and the band’s first European tour with Fleshless (Cz) in 1999.

PESSIMIST released their second CD, Blood For the Gods, in 1999, which soared into the CMJ Top 30 and received the prestigious “Pick of the Issue.. 10 Fucking Skulls” in SOD Magazine. PESSIMIST became recognized for their unique brand of brutal and technical Black/Death Metal, with old-school thrash influences, an emphasis on quality songwriting, powerful live shows and a dark, evil sound.

In 2001, the band traveled to Tampa, FL to record with producer Erik Rutan, for their third CD, Slaughtering the Faithful, which featured a re-vamped lineup and a faster, more extreme musical direction. More shows followed with Morbid Angel, Hate Eternal, Krisiun, Immolation, Cannibal Corpse, Dark Funeral, festival appearances at March Metal Meltdown, New England Metal and Hardcore Fest, and November to Dismember.

PESSIMIST returned in 2008 with the Evolution Unto Evil CD, a compilation of rare/live demo recordings and tributes to Kreator, Megadeth, and Possessed, which was co-released on Pathos Prod and Deathgasm Recs. This was followed by appearances at New England Deathfest and Hostile City Deathfest. In 2009, the band returned to Europe for their second European tour with label-mates Pandemia (CZ).

In between downtime with the band, founder/guitarist Kelly McLauchlin had also been a member of bands such as UNHOLY GHOST, DIABOLIC, filled in live with ANGELCORPSE, and had later joined Death Metal legends POSSESSED, touring with the band from 2011-2013.

In 2018, PESSIMIST returned to the stage at Maryland Deathfest, headlining Las Vegas Deathfest, Rage of Armageddon Fest (NY), and Ruinfest (CA), and in 2019 released a new single, Keys to the Underworld, which featured studio drummer Kevin Talley (Dying Fetus, Suffocation) and bassist Kelly Conlon (Monstrosity, Death).

Now, in their latest incarnation, the current PESSIMIST lineup includes founder/guitarist Kelly McLauchlin (I Am Morbid, Possessed, etc.), new bassist recruit Andrew Bowen (Carnal Necrosis), and vocalist Ivan Alison aka “The Evil One” (Black Mass).

The band is currently writing music for the next full-length album, ‘Keys to the Underworld’.
