Set for release on March 24th via Spikerot Records, Italian doom metal outfit SHORES OF NULL is gearing up for the release of the band’s highly anticipated new album “The Loss of Beauty”. In support of the soon to be released album, the band has shared a music video for the track “Destination Woe”. Watch the video below.

Shores of Null on “Destination Woe”:

“This is the opening track of our new album ‘The Loss Of Beauty’, if we don’t count the instrumental intro. The lyrics take inspiration from the aesthetic of Wabi-Sabi, which in the Japanese culture consists in the appreciation of all that is imperfect, incomplete, transient. This is actually a recurrent theme throughout the entire album. Beauty can also be intangible, like it can be a childhood memory or a pleasant episode in our life that will never come back, thus giving us a feeling of melancholy. Nothing is forever and we must be aware that everything comes to an end, in this perspective everything that is ephemeral becomes even more beautiful.”

“The Loss of Beauty” is Shores Of Null’s fourth album and follows the acclaimed “Beyond The Shores (On Death And Dying)”, unanimously considered by fans and critics as one of the doom metal gems of recent years. Both albums were recorded between 2019 and early 2020, and although “The Loss of Beauty” was initially conceived as the band’s third album, “Beyond The Shores” took its place as it better reflected the doom and gloom sentiment of the “annus horribilis” 2020.

Across 11 tracks (plus two bonus tracks), Shores Of Null once again submerges listeners with tempestuous and turbulent riffs. The band continues to hone its sound and take its melancholic dark metal to new heights by mastering an assorted palette of genres with inbred poignancy. The lyrics celebrate beauty in imperfection and transience and are meant to be an invitation to seek beauty in little things, especially those unexpected and ephemeral.

“The Loss of Beauty” is dark and heavy, tinged with feelings of despair and melancholy. An album not to be missed and highly recommended for all fans of Amorphis, Enslaved, and Paradise Lost.

The album was recorded by Marco “Cinghio” Mastrobuono at Kick Recording Studio (Hour Of Penance, Inno, Fleshgod Apocalypse). Cover artwork by Sabrina Caramanico.

MISSION IN BLACK – The mission continues!
5 years after their debut album “Profit Reigns Supreme” sees the light of day in the metal world, which gets to see the new cover for the first time today. It comes from the creative hands of Björn Gooßes / killustrations, a famous german artwort artists.

MISSION IN BLACK will release the long-awaited second album on May 12th, 2023. Band founders Andy “Black” Flache and Daniel Tschoepe, together with Simon Schorp, vocal wonder Steffi Stuber and the new guitarist Eddie Stübner, have been able to use the time since the highly acclaimed debut album “Anthem Of A Dying Breed” to write 10 brand new songs and sharpen their own contours. So the upcoming album “Profit Reigns Supreme” can be assigned much more to Melodic Death Metal than the predecessor could claim. The result was “a musical bastard from In Flames & Kreator with female vox & growls”, produced by Sebastian “Seeb” Levermann in his “Greenman Studios” in Arnsberg (responsible for the last Orden Ogan albums, Rhapsody of Fire or Brainstorm).

No question: Mission in Black have matured and are ready to bring their music out into the world, just like they did at Summer Breeze in 2022!

“We are still on our Mission” #metalwithmessage

Tracklist:
01 – Profit Reigns Supreme
02 – What Does It Take To Be Alive

ANY GIVEN SIN Release Video for New Single ‘Calm Before The Storm’

ANY GIVEN SIN and Mascot Records / Mascot Label Group have presented a second recording in front of the band’s debut studio album release coming later this year. To watch the music video for “Calm Before The Storm,” click here: https://youtu.be/tTXZ35JVH90. Produced by Chris Dawson, keyboards augment the verses with cinematic scope as guitars power up an undeniable chant, “I’m making no apologies.”  “It’s a song about perseverance,” says the front man Victor Ritchie. “You’re standing up to whatever’s in front of you.” Guitarist Mike Conner adds, “You’re not just surviving a traumatic experience though – You’re also becoming stronger because of it.”

The first reveal, “Still Sinking,” has been streamed more than 3.5 million times since its premiere in July, 2022. The video has been viewed over 108,000 times and can be screened here: https://youtu.be/wCV1OuNqYg0.

Inner struggle incites outward expression. Any Given Sin transfigure conflict into caustic and catchy hard rock punctuated by metallic intensity and alternative intimacy. The Maryland quartet—Victor Ritchie [vocals], Mike Conner [guitar], Rich Stevenson [bass], and Mike Showalter [drums]—encase these unrestrained emotions inside arena-size anthems with bold hooks and bludgeoning riffs. Amassing nearly 20 million streams to date, buzzing at radio, and building a devout fan base, the group perfect this pummeling and powerful style on their forthcoming Mascot Records debut coming later in 2023.

Over the years, the band’s grind yielded major traction as they tirelessly wrote, recorded, and honed a signature sound. In 2021, “Another Life” generated north of 5.2 million Spotify streams followed by “Dynamite” with 4.5 million Spotify streams. “Dynamite” and “Insidious” both cracked the Top 40 at Active Rock radio in addition to catapulting to #1 on SiriusXM, overtaking the fan-powered “Big ‘Uns Countdown.” By sharing their trials, tribulations, and triumphs, Any Given Sin ultimately offer a communal catharsis for fans to partake in. “When you listen to us, we hope you feel like you’re not alone,” Ritchie leaves off. “No matter what you’re dealing with, the music shows is a reminder that someone hears you.”  “A lot of it may sound dark and depressing, but there’s a positive message,” Conner concludes. “Keep going.”

Following their much-acclaimed debut album, Ban The Light ( 2019, AFM Records ), Swedish hard rock outfit DEAF RAT has released a new video clip for the live version of “Say You Love Me – Live At Dalhalla”!

In 2020, the band was invited to join heavy metal icons JUDAS PRIEST for this show. Finally after being postponed for two years, the bands got to share the stage at the magnificent and world famous outdoor arena Dalhalla, Sweden, in 2022.

DEAF RAT was born for the stage, and “Say You Love Me – Live In Dalhalla” is a powerhouse performance that will leave you with an adrenaline rush from start to finish. With their driving riffs, thundering drum beats, and electrifying presence, DEAF RAT prove that they are one of the most explosive and dynamic forces in the world of hard rock.

DEAF RAT hails from Dalarna in Sweden, a small region with long traditions of mining, steel industry, music and a healthy dose of DIY attitude. The broad sound of DEAF RAT is built on a strong foundation of classic 70s, 80s and 90s rock packed with influences of the band members different personal favourites. With their massive guitar riffs and strong melodies, this is the band that fills up the cracks in the ageing concrete between old school and modern hard rock.

Their latest album, Ban The Light ( available at THIS LOCATION! ) was released with great reviews from all over the world. Metal Temple recommends “if you are a fan of eccentric and eclectic Hard Rock acts, DEAF RAT must find its place on your watch list for the years to come”, Sonic Perspectives lauded “Deaf Rat puts forth some quality hard rock”, while GBHBL featured the album as “an overly strong rock effort from these Swedish up and comers”!
