INGESTED released Ashes Lie Still last fall via Metal Blade. Get it here.

Today, the band has shared the video for “Echoes of Hate.” Watch it below.

The visual features impaled skeletons and is bathed in red and orange tones, set against thunderous blast beats and deep grooves.

“We are utterly ecstatic to unleash the music video for ‘Echoes of Hate,” says vocalist Jason Evans. “Of all the singles we’ve released so far, this is the one I’ve been looking forward to the most, as this is by far the most brutal song on the album, with an absolutely catastrophic ending that will please old school Ingested fans and I’m certain will cause explosions of bodies in the pit at our upcoming shows with Cannibal Corpse. We’ve teamed up once again with our partner in visual crime Loki Films to bring yet another skull crushing music video for you all. Super proud of this one, absolute brutality at its terrifying best. Enjoy.“

Ingested will be hitting the road in Europe alongside labelmates Cannibal Corpse this month and on a North American headline tour this spring. All dates are below.

ABOUT INGESTED: Ingested are the flagbearers of modern UK death metal. They have been churning out bilious anti-anthems for more than a decade-and-a-half, dropping a string of releases that have helped shape the genre. They return with Ashes Lie Still, their most dynamic, inventive, and daring release to date, holding nothing back. The band describes it as “a modern essential. It still has the core Ingested elements of groovy slamming riffs, quick drumming, and guttural vocals but there’s also atmosphere, ethereal moments, and some raw old school aggression.” Over the course of 10 tracks, Ingested hack, slash, and steamroll through everything in their path, and Ashes Lie Still easily stands as the highpoint of an already impressive career. Founded in 2006 in Manchester, England, Ingested have since toured extensively with Cannibal Corpse, The Black Dahlia Murder, Nile, Carnifex, and Revocation, and have been seen on European festival stages including Summer Breeze Open Air. Slimmed down to a three-piece, the band feels it is in the best place it ever has been, enabling the members to work at the top of their game.

Ashes Lie Still was mixed and mastered by Christian Donaldson. It was co-produced by the band and previous collaborator Nico Beninato, with drummer Lyn Jeffs living close to Beninato’s studio in Mallorca and recording his drums there, while Sean Hynes recorded his guitars at home in the UK with the producer assisting remotely. Vocal tracking was interrupted by Jason Evans falling seriously ill when finally making it to Mallorca and was ultimately tracked back in Manchester. Bass was again supplied by Dominic Grimard (Ion Dissonance/The Last Felony).

Ingested succinctly encapsulate their existence, saying, “We’ve always been the underdogs, always fighting for scraps. Well, it’s time to get out of the fucking way, because now it’s our turn to eat at the table.“

Rising Prog-Metal Juggernauts STELLAR CIRCUITS Sign with Nuclear Blast

Nuclear Blast Records is proud to announce the signing of progressive-metal juggernauts STELLAR CIRCUITS. Recruited by A&R legend Monte Conner, the Winston-Salem, North Carolinians join the ranks of the world’s biggest metal label with plans to release their eagerly awaited sophomore album later this year.

Commenting on the signing, the band states:

“We’ve always been such big fans of Nuclear Blast and the bands they’ve worked with over the years. It’s an honor and a privilege to be welcomed into the NB family like we have. This partnership marks the beginning of a new era of Stellar Circuits and we couldn’t be more excited.”

Combining the progressive artistry of innovators like TOOL and the powerful ferocity similar to that of GOJIRA, STELLAR CIRCUITS recent upward trajectory is no surprise. Amassing millions of Spotify plays on their own, the band has developed a worldwide cult following with their distinctive prog sound that weaves in and out of metal sub-genres, providing a dynamic yet fully accessible listening experience as heard on previously released singles like “Go With Your Ghost,” “Penny Dreadful” and “Skylights.”

Details of their impending second, full-length album will be revealed in the weeks to come.

About STELLAR CIRCUITS:

Formed in 2015, Stellar Circuits emerged to combine the conceptual polarities of groove-oriented music with progressive-minded technicality. Over the quartet’s lifespan, they’ve managed to fulfill their own prophecy, formulating a core sound that is complex and layered, while providing a listenability that extends well beyond the rock genre. Visceral, intellectual, groovy, technical, and melodious are rarely indicators that can all be used to describe the aural essence of one band. In the case of Stellar Circuits, the rare combination makes a striking and definitive appearance in all they do.

The Winston-Salem, NC foursome followed their 2015 debut EP with their first full-length album in 2018. “Ways We Haunt” would be recorded with North Carolina’s own Jamie King (Between The Buried And Me, He Is Legend), a legend in his own right, bringing his signature touch to Stellar Circuits’ first long form release.

Generating significant attention, especially from the band’s more veteran industry peers, Stellar Circuits would go on to be invited as special guests on Chevelle’s 2021 N.I.R.A.T.I.A.S. tour.  Completing a nationwide trek that introduced Stellar Circuits to a significantly broader audience, the foursome immediately saw their fanbase increase exponentially, prompting a shift in their attention to a new record with which they could continue to build on the solid foundation they had since established.

As fans anxiously await the studio follow up to CRADLE OF FILTH’s highly-acclaimed 2021 full-length album, Existence Is Futile, the extreme metal legends led by iconic frontman Dani Filth have unleashed a thirst-quencher of epic proportions – their first live album to be released in over 20 years, Trouble And Their Double Lives, set for release on April 28, 2023 via Napalm Records.

Recorded between 2014 and 2019 at different performances in the USA, Europe, Australia and beyond during their “Cryptoriana World Tour” and dates following, the album serves as a time-capsule of blisteringly intense live energy, and an astounding testament to CRADLE OF FILTH’s renowned latest era.

Produced, mixed and mastered by Scott Atkins at Grindstone Studios in Suffolk, England with recording captured by Danny B, the brand new live onslaught not only features a slew of fan favorites encompassing the band’s electrifying discography – such as “Nymphetamine (Fix)”, “Bathory Aria” and “Blackest Magick in Practice” – but also two bonus tracks and two entirely brand new songs, “She is a Fire” and “Demon Prince Regent”.

Listen to the brand new, spine-tingling studio track, “She is a Fire”, and watch its new accompanying music video today!

CRADLE OF FILTH mastermind Dani Filth says about the track:
“This track and the other original track on this album, ‘Demon Prince Regent’, were both written after the recording of Existence Is Futile and present a perfect, but not necessarily related, bridge between our Nuclear Blast days and the forthcoming album on Napalm Records. It was always intended to be a double album, so we just thought, ‘f**k it! Let’s cram some original material on there as well! The absolute worst of both worlds!

The song itself is about the epitome of burning passion; the dark inspiration of love and the creature that has ignited it.”

The two new studio tracks provide a hefty taste of what’s to come on future CRADLE OF FILTH studio releases! “She is a Fire” starts the album with a sinister riff, ominous atmosphere and spine-tingling keys. Dani Filth’s renowned vocal delivery cascades in haunting screams and whispers atop hair-raising guitar leads and unrelenting drums. “Demon Prince Regent” slams in with a wall of sound and grim, blackened guitar leads before reaching a headbanging, bouncing chorus. Dramatic, score-like symphonics encapsulate the melancholic anthem before leading into a speeding solo, proving itself as yet another CRADLE OF FILTH classic to be.

Make sure to grab your copy of this very special addition to the CRADLE OF FILTH canon while they last!

Dani Filth adds:
“I would say a live record was long overdue, judging by the 20-odd year gap between this and our previous offering! It also serves as a great accompaniment to the forthcoming co-headlining ‘Double Trouble Live’ tour(s) with DEVILDRIVER, and strangely enough is also a notable gap-filler whilst we prepare our debut album for Napalm Records, due for mass excretion in 2024.”

Positioned firmly at the top of the extreme metal genre, CRADLE OF FILTH reign supreme as one of the most revered, formative and notorious names in the scene, and are undeniably responsible for breaking ground for many of today’s top metal artists with their trademark mixture of grim blackened heaviness, macabre theatricality and scintillating gothic style. The rule of Filth began in 1991, followed by the unleashing of 1994’s The Principle Of Evil Made Flesh – humble beginnings that expanded into cinematic classics like Cruelty And The Beast and Midian.

The band’s unyielding international touring schedule has garnered them a massive following both in the cult underground and at the top of the mainstream, defying trends while staying true to their roots. More recent offerings such as 2015’s Hammer Of The Witches and 2017’s Cryptoriana – The Seductiveness Of Decay continued to bolster the unremitting legacy of Filth, until the band, along with the rest of the universe, was abruptly halted by the global pandemic in 2020. But, as is evident by the staggering response from their devoted legion of followers, that time was put to good use, spurring the emergence of the band’s latest, breathtakingly heavy offering, 2021’s Existence Is Futile. The album debuted at #20 on the Billboard 200 with Hard Rock Genre, on the Hard Music Albums charts at #4 in the US and #5 in Canada, #9 on the German Album charts, #3 and #5 on the UK Rock & Metal Albums chart and UK Independent Albums chart respectively, #4 on the Finnish Albums chart and many more, proving that CRADLE OF FILTH continue to own the dark.

JOE BONAMASSA Releases New Track ‘Known Unknowns’ from Upcoming Album

As he continues through the third week of his Spring U.S. Tour, the three-time GRAMMY-nominated guitarist and 25x Billboard chart-topper JOE BONAMASSA has released a powerful live rendition of “Known Unknowns,” a bluesy song of heartbreak from his latest studio album ‘Time Clocks.’ A haunting track that weaves blues, soul, and Southern Rock motifs to express the pain of a love gone wrong, the live version will be featured on ‘Tales of Time,’ Bonamassa’s sprawling and expansive live concert film and album shot at the breathtaking Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Colorado, out 4/14 via Bonamassa’s J&R Adventures in CD/DVD, CD/BR, vinyl, and digital formats. For more information and to pre-order, please visit https://lnk.to/joebonamassa

“It’s about life,” Bonamassa says, explaining the meaning of “Known Unknowns. “We all have this feeling as musicians; of an uncertainty and trepidation about moving forward, because everybody invested their whole lives into it and it’s not like you can say, oh I did music for six months and moved on to whatever. This is why we do this, so we don’t have to get up early and have a boss. That’s why I do it.”

Alyssa Bonagoura, who co-wrote “Known Unknowns” with Bonamassa, adds: “He came in with that amazing riff and a verse that I thought sounded like a chorus, so we swapped them around, went a different direction with the verses and within an hour the song was done. It’s an honor that he asked me to write it with him and be on this album!”

Bonamassa recently announced a tour of the Nordic countries in April starting in Helsinki, Finland on the 19th and ending in Gothenburg, Sweden taking in also Oslo, Norway, Copenhagen, Denmark and Stockholm, Sweden.

Featuring a stunning visual backdrop that served to highlight the beauty of the music, ‘Tales Of Time’ captures a stratospheric performance by the blues-rock titan, as his virtuoso guitar style and unique technique and flair elevate the evening to an almost heavenly high. This incredible undertaking was produced by long-time collaborator and producer Kevin Shirley (Led Zeppelin, Iron Maiden, Journey). “This live show represents our most progressive and largest production to date, focusing on my most ambitious studio album to date,” commented Bonamassa. “My band was a force of nature on this show, and it truly was a special night.”

Stopping at the Benedum Center in Pittsburgh tonight, Bonamassa’s spring tour will conclude with his Keeping The Blues Alive at Sea VIII, set for March 13-17, departing from Miami, Florida to Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic. The festival line-up includes legendary artists like Little Feat, Dion, Bobby Rush, Robert Randolph Band, Joanne Shaw Taylor, Jimmy Vivino, and more. KTBA at Sea is one of the largest fundraisers for Bonamassa’s Keeping The Blues Alive Foundation, aiding in its mission to promote music education by providing grants and resources to schools and musicians in need.

Cited by Guitar World as “arguably the world’s biggest blues guitarist,” Bonamassa is known for taking risks and venturing into uncharted territory throughout his wide-ranging career. His most recent full-length ‘Time Clocks’ marked his most raw, rocking studio album yet, with American Songwriter sharing, “Bonamassa pushes into fresh territory while staying within a blues-based framework,” and “there is more than enough proof in this sprawling set that Bonamassa doesn’t intend to rest on his laurels or take his star status in the blues-rock genre for granted.”

Bonamassa and his long-time manager Roy Weisman also recently announced Journeyman LLC, a full-service artist management, record label, concert promotion, and marketing company that builds awareness for independent artists worldwide. Journeyman provides the infrastructure needed to jumpstart the careers of exceptional independent artists, who are too often overlooked by the major labels or concert promoters while circumventing the resistance of typical “gatekeepers” who don’t support indie acts. “I wanted to take what I’ve had to learn the hard way to create a company that could make navigating this process a little easier,” Bonamassa explains.

CLOAK Premiere New Song + Music Video ‘Invictus’, Reveal Details for New Album “Black Flame Eternal”

Blackened heavy metal masters CLOAK will be releasing their third full-length, ‘Black Flame Eternal,’ on May 26, 2023! To celebrate this release, the Atlanta quartet is now sharing the blistering first single, “Invictus,” along with a music video! The scorching new video was co-directed by Nic Adams and Cloak frontman Scott Taysom and it can be found at THIS LOCATION.

Cloak drummer Sean Bruneau comments on the song, “No composition written by the band has so perfectly captured our essence to date. The time spent in isolation allowed not only personal growth, but tremendous reflection on a lifetime of inspiration. The song came together aggressively once we started working on new material, and it was clear that we were approaching things differently this time around. Anger and empowerment were much more evident as opposed to the more melody driven material in the past albums. To us, ‘Invictus’ is a thesis of sorts. It’s everything about who we were before this band and where we are headed together moving forward.”

In addition, CLOAK is now announcing a very special hometown album release performance, which will take place place at The Earl in Atlanta, GA on June 10!

Prior to that, the band will be performing at the Carolina Chainsaw Massacre Fest II in Greensboro, NC on May 6 followed by an appearance at the inaugural Hell in the Harbor festival, which takes place the weekend of the album’s release in Baltimore, MD. All dates and tickets can be found below!

CLOAK is following up 2019’s ‘The Burning Dawn,’ which was named one of the Best Albums of the year by Metal Insider (#6), A&P Reacts (#8), Treble Zine (#11), and others.

‘Black Flame Eternal’ can be pre-saved across all streaming services HERE and pre-ordered in North America HERE.

However, the universe isn’t ready for Cloak to unleash its fury today! And so, due to an unforeseen technical difficulties, the official European store launch has been delayed and will be revealed at a later date! In the meantime, you can pre-order the new album and merch via Bandcamp HERE.

“The individual has always had to struggle to keep from being overwhelmed by the tribe. If you try it, you will be lonely often, and sometimes frightened. But no price is too high to pay for the privilege of owning yourself.” – Rudyard Kipling

In an era that is designed to beat down and weaken the individual, Black Flame Eternal is an album that represents strength, empowerment, and total opposition. With mounting pressure to engage in modern societal tribalism, Cloak invokes a spiritual rebellion that exists beyond good and evil with album number three.

“All of our albums are created with a spiritual focus, dealing with how we see life, death, and everything in between. I think the earlier records dealt more with the mysteries that surrounded delving deeper into the world of dark spirituality, whereas the new material has taken what we’ve learned and used it to move forward with force,” says Cloak frontman Scott Taysom of the record’s underlying philosophy. “Black Flame Eternal is a statement of spiritual empowerment in every sense. For the first time we want people to grasp on to this sentiment, instead of keeping it completely personal within our world of Cloak. The themes and the sheer power can be felt much more within the songs that this album contains.”

“Our goal is complete spiritual liberation, which is where true power and freedom exists,” he adds. “We’ve reached a point in history where people are forced to pick a side or to join a team, so to speak. Cloak stands in complete opposition to this. We aim to be a giant middle finger in the face of the empty modern world.”

While Cloak might rage against societal conventions, the Atlanta quartet embraces the rebellious and time-tested traditions of heavy metal. Whether it be the conjuring the chaotic spirit of Swedish black metal purveyors Watain and Dissection, summoning the deep, dark and sensual groove of Danzig, or evoking the raw speed and raucous energy of Motörhead, the influence of metal’s founding fathers is deep within Cloak’s DNA. Cloak’s charm, however, does not merely lie within its romanticism of the past, but rather is the way each of these genres has shaped Cloak’s own personal identity. And with Black Flame Eternal, the record sees Cloak continue to strengthen its own unique established sound.

Cloak recognizes the importance of a band’s third record, with Taysom explaining, “These influences will always be important to us, as they are some of the best and most important bands of our time. On the other hand, what is so special about getting to the third record of our career is that inspiration starts to move inwards. We had enough experience and material at this point to really know what we do best and how we can utilize these skills in the best way possible. If you look at some of the most iconic bands, their third albums were massive steps towards greatness. So to us, we feel our third record will be a very important one in our time as a band.”

The Atlantan’s evolution is evident in the fury displayed on Black Flame Eternal, which flawlessly compliments the grandiose melodic atmosphere. “This was a conscious effort. Early on before the album even started, I knew it was going to be a much more aggressive and powerful album. I wanted to take a step away from certain sounds and add a bit of brutality back in. The overall vibe matches who we are much more, so it was only fitting to move towards this sound. It almost feels like we are going back to our roots as people in certain ways,” explains Taysom.

Black Flame Eternal follows up sophomore effort The Burning Dawn, which was released in November 2019, with hell unleashing its fury on the globe just a few short months later. As plans to tour the new album around the world came to a screeching halt, the band did not stagger or falter, and instead used this gift of time to write. When reflecting upon the lost years and its impact, Taysom seemingly embraces the situation with little regrets, “Considering Cloak is a sacred space for us, these exterior things did not have as much of an impact as one might think. But it was impossible to ignore some of what was going on throughout these tumultuous years. It’s bound to affect people’s personal lives and the way the mind works during these interesting times. One thing that it did greatly affect was the fact that we could not promote The Burning Dawn properly after the one U.S. tour we did with 1349. We feel this hurt the record, but there was nothing we could do. We were one of the earliest out of the gate after venues started to open back up, and we’ve been continuing to tour in promotion of that album all the way up until now.”

Cloak utilized every minute of this time to focus on fully realizing its vision for Black Flame Eternal. “The initial stage of the writing process started in January of 2020, and lasted all the way until May 2021. It was the longest spanning album process for us so far, with many long days, nights, and weeks trying to piece the songs together the best we could.” While the record did not come together swiftly or easily, the care and attention put into its creation is evident in its powerful composition.

Making up for lost time, these road warriors have already embarked on several high profile North American tours since the autumn of 2021, commanding audiences in every major city with their chaos magick. Each performance merges the spirit of black metal with the backbone of rock ‘n’ roll as the band consistently delivers a blistering set from start to finish. Taysom describes Cloak’s live approach as “a mixture of ethereal atmosphere and total abrasive chaos. The mixture of these two opposing energies is where Cloak lies; the meeting of high and low. To us, this is where the most interesting moments happen, both emotionally and physically.”

With no borders or boundaries, Cloak is ready to embark on this new chapter as the leader of its own pack. The band bows to no one, forging its own path as one of the governing metal forces of this decade as ‘Black Flame Eternal’ promises to scorch the earth and leave its hallowed mark.
