SLAVES TO HUMANITY Release Anthemic New Single ‘Bully’

SLAVES TO HUMANITY released their new anthemic single “Bully” to all major platforms today, February 24, 2023. The single was produced by Trev Lukather (Halestorm, Dorothy, Andrew Hagar).

“From a very young age, I was constantly bullied and attacked by kids who weren’t like me. They would push me around and even beat me when I was around. Bullying was just something that I grew up with, just like many other kids at young ages. That’s where the inspiration for ‘Bully’ came from, and this song is a ‘fuck you’ to all the people who think it’s okay to treat others poorly,” says the band’s vocalist Aidan Amini.

In addition, you can catch Slaves to Humanity at The House of Blues in Anaheim, CA on February 25th in support of the single release!

Stream/Download “Bully” HERE

“Bully” Lyrics

You love to cause a scene
Hating on everything
A hit of dopamine
Is what you’re getting
You think you know it all
Getting off when people fall
Acting like you’re ten feet tall
Is so pathetic
Live to ruin the moment
All for enjoyment
In your Mother’s basement
So used to no one fighting back
BULLY
ROLES FLIP NOW YOU’RE UNDER ATTACK
BULLY
You take a swing no time to react
BULLY
Your times up that’s a matter of fact
BULLY
You love to troll the screen
Commenting on everything
Would you like to feel the pain
That you’re causin’
There is no victory
Spreading your toxicity
Projecting insecurity
When the world is watching

Slaves to Humanity (STH) is a Sunset Grunge band from Orange County, California. Its members include Aidan Amini on vocals, Pierce Akers on guitar, Shane Ryan on drums, and Nathan Johnson on the bass. Together the bandmates create a sound like no other, mixing the melodic guitars of the late 80s era hard rock bands and the lyrics and vocal sound of the 90s grunge era, as well as throwing modern rock elements all around.

In 2019 they released their first single, “BATTLEGROUND”, which had success on radio stations and streaming platforms alike. Following this release, during the Covid-19 pandemic, the band released “Behind My Back”, which showed even more success. Both singles were the most requested song on KLOS, and received heavy rotation on that major radio station for many months throughout the pandemic.

During the pandemic, the band worked hard on putting together their social media presence, and continue to do so today, showing success on Tiktok and Instagram. The band continues to play shows in Southern California, as well as build their social media presence.

The band appeared on Episode 2 and Episode 10 of the show NO COVER – (The only Music Competition show w/ unsigned artists performing original songs).

OMNICIDAL Sign with Non Serviam Records, First Full-Length Album Coming in April 2023

Non Serviam Records has announced the signing of Swedish death metal newcomers OMNICIDAL.

“Omnicidal can proudly and finally announce the signing with Non Serviam Records! We are thrilled to present Omnicidal’s first full-length album ‘The Omnicidalist’ through this established and dedicated record label in April 2023. Let the collaboration begin!”, comments the band.

Ricardo Gelok, Non Serviam Records owner continues: “I have known some musicians of Omnicidal from other bands they are active in (like Rimfrost, who also were signed to the label) and Lake of Tears. I was really blown away when I received and listened to their new promo… I really love their musical landscape and brutality. The more I listen to the songs, the newer dimensions I discover.”

Born in 2019 OMNICIDAL – Sebastian “Hravn” Svedlund (ex-Rimfrost), Fredrik Jordanius (ex- Egonaut/Lake Of Tears), Andreas Strandh (ex-Sister Sin) and Jansson “Jansson” Jansson (ex-Devilicious) – intend to manifest the ultimate mix of the old, putrid Swedish chainsaw sound with the slightly more melodic sound of the Gothenburg area.

To celebrate the signing the band unveils the first single, “By Knife”, taken from their debut album “The Omnicidalist” which will be released on April 7th 2023 via Non Serviam Records.

STREAM/PURCHASE THE SONG HERE: https://song.link/byknife

“A horror flick, the slasher of ‘The Omnicidalist’. A sinister and melancholic theme with a catchy refrain making you want to listen to the song again and again.  The message is clear – if you wake up by an opened window and a lunatic presence overwhelms the room, then kiss the knife and accept your final gift”, states the band about the song.

OMNICIDAL recorded all the backing tracks live at Soundport while vocals and solos were recorded by the band themselves at Jordaniusounds studio in Borås. Mikael MRG Andersson took care of mixing and mastering at Soundport studio.

“The Omnicidalist” will be available on digipack CD, LP and digital.

Polish PARAHUMAN Release New Video ‘Inflicted’ Feat. Domin from HATE

Posted by tarjavirmakari on February 27, 2023
Posted in: Int. News, News. Tagged: PARAHUMAN. Leave a comment

PARAHUMAN is a quite young band on the Polish metal music scene. The group was formed in 2014, and the line-up includes musicians that have been playing rock music so far. The first rehearsals brought a lot of energy and weight in the composed songs, which ultimately defined their music as mixture of groove metal and metalcore. So far band released two singles, an EP called “Anthropomorphic“, and in 8th October 2022 they released first full-lenght album, “Affliction“. Music for this album was recorded at Nebula Studio (Tides From Nebula, Dopelord, Materia) in cooperation with Tomasz Stołowski. Robert Wawro, who has collaborated with Asgaard and Exlibris in the past, is responsible for mixing and mastering. The graphic design was created by pachu design (Acid Drinkers, Kat & Roman Kostrzewski). Band photo were taken by Michał Sobociński.

Band about debut album: “The album we wanted to create and present now is a mini concept album. The leitmotif are diseases and social problems of people living today. We touch on the problems of social media, broadly understood Internet threats, depression, hatred and addictions. Each of the songs is a short study of a selected “disease”.
The following bands were the musical inspiration for us when creating the album: Gojira, In Flames, Cannibal Corpse, Lamb of God, Killer be Killed and Decapitated. We wanted the album to bring an element of melody with it. Hence the idea to add samples and introduce melodic vocals to the music, which were to differentiate the material contained on the album. Each composition led us to the conclusion that we are heading towards melodic death metal – the genre that we can use to define the music on our album“.

Parahuman have released video to the song “Inflicted” with guest guitar solo played by Dominik “Domin” Prykiel (HATE, ex-Lost Soul).

HONG FAUX Release New Album “Desolation Years”, Out Now

‘Desolation Years’ is Hong Faux’s much anticipated third full-length album and follow up to ‘A Message From Dystopia’. The album opens up a hole in the gut, and peeks inside to try to understand what’s going on. Heavy riffs, melodic passages and the witty musical turns that characterise Hong Faux are all there, but this time with a modern twist. Introspective lyrics in a tug of war with heavy riffing and melodic transitions in a dark soundtrack to modern life are the building blocks of ‘Desolation Years’ – Hong Faux’s attempt at painting a musical picture of the void between how it is and how it should be.

Stream/buy here: https://orcd.co/desolation-years

‘Desolation Years’ Track By Track:
Wake Me Up For Exit: The opener of the album head butts itself into existence. A classic Hong Faux track with the riff on top and the juicy parts below.
Fornever: This big, arena-worthy anthem is a melodic journey with a huge chorus and a middle eight to make the hair on the back of your neck stand up.
Zero Point: What’s the point? This melancholic piece explores soulful and jazzy harmonics before erupting into a heavy stoner rock wrecking ball, whilst examining the will to be ruled out of the future.
Trains: Trains is the first single from the new album. The song dives deep into the fury of an “ordinary man” over the craziness of the current state of the world. Bombastic, modern rock coupled with the rhythm and attack of hip hop. (Yes!) If this track doesn’t make your head move – have it checked!
New Vegas: The classic rock packaging of “New Vegas” contains a grungy vibe core.
Desolation Years: The title track of the album is a heavy, doomy song, wrapped around a dark soundscape and the question, “Are we ready for the desolation years?”.
Disco Necropolis: This supercharged, heavy song takes the listener straight to the middle of the dancefloor at Disco Necropolis – in for a penny, in for a pound…
Parasite: Hong Faux claims to do “arena stoner rock” and this track is proof! Rhythm, riffs and a big sign saying: “Everything’s perfect here but nothing’s RIGHT!”
Starkiller: “Starkiller” flirts with the songwriting of the ‘90s. The song seduces with an americana-seasoned verse before launching into an arena-oriented chorus laced with big vocals and a universal message to get your sh*t together.
Whitman, Price & Haddad: Do you remember Whitman, Price & Haddad – basking in the Maui sun? …No that’s right, they’re ashes… slightly overdone…
The Flood: The final track on the album is a lighter version of a riff that was once heavy. Is it ok for a heavy band to do a pop song? The answer is unquestionably yes!

ABOUT HONG FAUX
Ever since Hong Faux’s very first recorded notes started their journey from blog, to magazines, to radio and MTV, people have tried to label the music and to figure out the meaning of the band’s name. A London promoter called it “old school super sludgy riffology with blues wailin’ vox”. Listening to the songs on their new album, it would be foolish to argue against such a statement. In simpler terms, you’ll find the sound that brought together four guys with very diverse musical tastes and backgrounds.

Something the band members all dig on the same level is the harder bands that came out of Seattle in the early nineties. So, all put together, with a few added ingredients, you get heavy stoner riffs galore with strong melodic vocals that honour the harmonic complexity of the grunge era.

“Our ambition is to combine the guitar riffs from the ‘70s, the grunge scene’s more melodic artists from the ‘90s, with modern rock. We have always enjoyed pop choruses and were convinced that the harder rock crew would think we were wimpy. But we were wrong… I guess even the cool dudes like to be tickled on the thighs every once in a while.” – lead singer Nik Serén.

The four-piece has played shows all over Europe, sharing stages with such diverse bands as D-A-D, Clutch, Graveyard, Danko Jones, Coheed and Cambria and Babyshambles. You can count on Hong Faux delivering both weight and melody, just like they always do.

Line-up:
Niklas Serén – Lead vocals & guitar
Björn Billgren – Lead guitar
Johan Bergqvist – Bass & vocals
Jonathan Hummelman – Drumkit

Japanese Metal act ZEKE DEUX released their second mini-album “Lux en Athena” on February 22, 2023. The band continues their journey to captivate new audiences with their Power Metal infused sound and Gothic visuals.

This new work is the expression of gratitude to their fans, who are called “Lux”, as they are the core of the band and the ones who bring light to Zeke Deux.

The invigorating title-track “Lux en Athena” features encouraging lyrics from the vivid spirit of vocalist Kakeru. With the chorus phrase “Since you firmly believed in the me who I am now, I reach out for the light that shines through, leaving the past behind”, the song is a reminder that you are not alone and it’s never late to pick yourself up and move forward to new heights.

Bassist Maya, composer of the song, comments:“I put emphasis while making “Lux en Athena” on bringing a sense of liberation, similar to fog clearing away instantly, and igniting the soul with euphoria. In addition, this tune expresses our feelings for [our fans] Lux. It’s a melody that takes us far beyond, hand in hand with Lux.”

This mini-album includes the tragic and eerie “Catastrophe”, the poetic rock ballad “Catharsis”, along with the haunting “Lucifer”. Those singles were concert and mail-order exclusives released last year. Lux en Athena also contains the newly produced tracks “Feel like the Wind” and “Sapphire”.

Since their formation in 2020, Zeke Deux has been active across the major cities of Japan. However, they have stated to be working on expanding to new areas. The band made their overseas debut in Switzerland at a Japanese culture-oriented event last autumn, fueling the desire of the group to reach new people all over the world.
