EMBRYO Release New Video ‘Highest Fame’ Ft. Drummer George Kollias

Italy’s EMBRYO are sharing the next glimpse of powerhouse melodic death metal from their forthcoming fifth album “A Vivid Shade on Misery“, which features the pummeling drumming George Kollias (Nile) whom the band recruited for the full-length’s recording. Due out on March 17th, 2023 via Rockshots Records.

Watch and listen to the intense sheer energy this track ‘Highest Fame’ brings forth with its music video.

“A Vivid Shade on Misery” follows the band’s 2017’s “A Step Beyond Divinity” (Art Gates Records), 2015’s Self-Titled (logic(il)logic Records) that featured Fleshgod Apocalypse’s drummer Francesco Paoli, 2010’s “No God Slave” and their 2006 debut “Chaotic Age“.

Since the band’s inception, Embryo has toured across Europe with Melechesh, Keep of Kalessin, Tribulation, Nile, Immolation, Ragnarok, Monuments of Misanthropy, and Suffocation along with performing on festivals such as Masters of Rock (CZ), and Total Metal Festival (Italy).

Embryo began writing their 5th offering in 2020 with George Kollias and entered the Domination Studio in July 2021 with producer Simone Mularoni, and engineer Simone Bertozzi.

Monolithic, intense, powerful, technical, and melodic this new album features eight brand new tracks and is another concept album like its predecessor “A Step Beyond Divinity”. The band is inspired by historical Italian figures of the Renaissance era and their tormented lives, their absolute genius, and the gifts they gave to the world. While the previous album “A Step Beyond Divinity” was inspired by Leonardo Da Vinci, this new work is totally inspired by Michelangelo Merisi alias Caravaggio, an Italian painter active in Rome for most of his artistic life.

“With “A Vivid Shade on Misery” we want to have listeners dive into our world by giving them brutal and atmospheric music melted together in the way we love to do plus having Kollias drum on this new album, one of the best drummers in the world, is just an absolute honour. Overall, fans will find this album has the “Embryo” matrix, there’s no doubt about that. It will be a more direct record and its songs make up a pattern that takes the listener on a journey through torments and anxieties, but which at the same time gives him pure energy.” adds the band.

From the band’s first album “Chaotic Age” (2006) to today, Embryo‘s music has evolved over the years. On the first record, they were more brutal and messier, now their compositions are much more “thought out” and brilliant. If they had to use one word to describe their compositional evolution they would say “sharp”.

Recommended for fans of Strapping Young Lad, Meshuggah, Fear Factory, Death, and Dimmu Borgir, Embryo will be sharing singles and videos in the coming months in lead up to the record’s release.

THE ANSWER Release Long Awaited New Album “Sundowners” on March 17th

After a long seven-year hiatus, Northern Irish rockers THE ANSWER are set to make a spectacular and long-awaited return with a brand-new studio album scheduled for release on St. Patricks day, March 17th, 2023. Album Pre-Order

Titled ‘Sundowners’, this latest album has been produced and mixed by rising British rock producer Dan Weller (Enter Shikari, Bury Tomorrow) and will be supported by a run of limited capacity 17 date UK and European album launch shows.

The album was recorded in April 2023 at Middlefarm studios, Devon and was the first time the band had been together in a studio since 2015.

Says lead singer Cormac Neeson, “We’ve been through a lot as a band, toured the world, made six great records we’re all proud of, and always done our best to make honest and timeless music that connects with rock and music fans in general. After six albums and a lot of road miles we felt we needed to step back from it all and reset. Whilst that wasn’t an easy decision, with retrospect it’s possibly the best decision we’ve ever made because after seven years away we all came back fired up and the end result is an album we’ve been waiting to make our whole lives…full of good time rock n roll and positive energy created by four brothers who quite frankly just really missed each other. We’re back and we’re ready to bring our best album ever to you!”

The album will be released by Golden Robot Records and by licensee 7Hz Productions (ADA) in the UK & Europe. The release will come in several formats including a Cd Gatefold Digi sleeve, Gatefold 12” 180g black vinyl, 2 x 12” colour vinyl exclusives, a 12” fan collectible Picture Disk, Digital and various limited retail exclusive versions with HMV, Rough Trade, Crash and Assai Records.

May 5, 2023 will see heavy speed metal giants SAVAGE GRACE return with a brand new studio album, entitled “Sign Of The Cross”, through Massacre Records!

On their forthcoming album, SAVAGE GRACE are not only introducing their new vocalist Gabriel Colon – who is described as a blend of the early Rob Halford and the young Ian Gillian – but creating and moving into a new dimension of metal while keeping true to their authentic roots. But get a sneak peak of their upcoming offering, as the band has just unleashed a music video for first single ‘Automoton’! According to Logue, “Automoton is inspired by Aldous Huxley’s ‘Brave New World’ and is very relevant to the events of the day.”

Forty years of metal experience went into crafting each of the new album songs into classics they will soon become. In addition, provocative, thought-inspiring lyrics and powerful topics weave their way through this mesmerizing collection of songs. Christian Logue comments:

“This album is my masterpiece and a grand addition to my legacy of universally acclaimed classic metal recordings. Every song on this album is powerful, there is not one weak track on this record.”

[Cover Artwork by: Daniela Owergoor]

“Sign Of The Cross” was produced by Logue and was mixed and mastered by Roland Grapow at Grapow Studios. Slated for a release as CD, ltd. Vinyl LP and Digital formats on May 5, 2023 via Massacre Records, the pre-sale has just started at THIS LOCATION!

After performing at Pol’and’Rock back in 2021, Transylvanian FolkCore Orchestra DIRTY SHIRT was requested back to play the main stage on the 2022 edition after winning the fan-voted Golden Spinning Top festival contest. To date, this was the largest audience that Dirty Shirt has performed for, with an estimated 50k in attendance, according to festival organizers.

The band has shared the full concert video from the festival, which can be viewed, below.

And if you like what you see and hear from the live video, new and old fans alike will be happy to hear that the band will be touring in 2023 for the second part of the Get Your Dose Now Tour, with shows already announced in Romania, Poland, France, and UK (dates listed below).

Dirty Shirt‘s sixth album “Get Your Dose Now!” (released April 1, 2022) is a shorter nine-track album, with a little more than 30 minutes, but Dirty Shirt maintains that the listening experience will be very intense, as they combine many influences, and the songs change constantly with complex orchestrations. It was produced by Mihai Tivadar, mixed and mastered by Adrian Bila Uritescu and the album artwork was done by Lia Cucuianu.

Dirty Shirt brings a truly unique live experience, huge energy, huge emotions, and fun, with a scaling lineup based on the performance, which adds a lot of authenticities and a great live sound.

Recommended for anyone looking for something interesting and lively, Dirty Shirt is for fans of Twelve Foot Ninja, Dubioza Kolektiv, and Eluveitie.
