DISMINDED Release ‘Unleash Hate’ Video from Upcoming Album

On March 3rd, the German deathers DISMINDED will release their new album “The Vision”. Dramatic melodies, leg-hard grooves and fast thrashy parts meet profound, unadorned lyrics, straight from the deepest abysses of the soul.

As a first taste of this death metal inferno, the song “Unleash Hate” is now available on MDD’s YouTube channel, watch below. The album can already be pre-ordered at various retailers. The final tracklist is attached. “The Vision”, incidentally produced by Harris Johns, is a musical statement performed without compromise that will make fans of the genre click their tongues! CYNIC + BEYOND CREATION Announce Latin America Tour in April

Progressive music icon CYNIC will be embarking on a Latin American headlining tour with support from tech death label-mate BEYOND CREATION. The journey will kick off on April 14 in Sao Paulo, BR and will then trek through 10 cities, concluding on April 27 in Mexico City, MX. The full run of dates can be found below while venues will be revealed at a later date.

CYNIC be celebrating the 30th anniversary of ‘Focus’ by performing the seminal album in its entirety while also paying homage to late members Sean Reinert and Sean Malone. More anniversary and memorial tribute shows will be announced in the near future!

This announcement comes after CYNIC‘s momentous return to the live stage for the first time in eight years! The band performed a sold-out secret show in Los Angeles, CA before embarking on the 70,000 Tons of Metal Cruise in Januar 2023!  Later in the year, CYNIC will then perform at the illustrious ProgPower USA festival on September 6 in Atlanta, GA!

The new live lineup will feature Paul Masvidal on vocals and guitars, Max Phelps (Exist, Death to All) on additional guitars and vocals, Brandon Giffin (The Faceless, The Zenith Passage) on bass, Matt Lynch (Nova Collective, Intronaut) on drums & percussion, and Zeke Kaplan on the keyboard! Lynch has been drumming with CYNIC since 2015 & appeared on the band’s latest full-length, ‘Ascension Codes,’ as well as the 2018 single “Humanoid.” Additionally, Phelps, having also appeared on ‘Ascension Codes,’ and Giffin have previously toured with CYNIC during the band’s ‘Carbon Based Anatomy’ and ‘Kindly Bent to Free Us’ tours.

CYNIC‘s latest release Ascension Codes is a remarkably far-reaching work, and if nothing else, a clear indication that they have landed in a place of mastery. The album, paradoxically, acts as both swan song and rebirth.

L.A. GUNS Announce New Studio Album “Black Diamonds”, Out April 14th, Release New Single ‘You Betray’

L.A. GUNS have announced the upcoming release of their latest studio album, “Black Diamonds” on April 14, 2023. Produced by founding member and guitarist Tracii Guns, “Black Diamonds” is a tour-de-force of rock ‘n roll that fans have come to expect from the long-running hard rockers. A new single, ‘You Betray’ is out today.

Written and recorded over the course of 2022, “Black Diamonds” sees Tracii Guns, Phil Lewis, and company continuing on the same successful and inspiring sonic journey that they’ve been taking on their most recent albums, “Checkered Past”, “The Devil You Know”, and “The Missing Peace”. The band doesn’t shy away from flexing their hard rock influences as they always have, but also incorporates more introspective acoustic tracks reflective of their classic rock influences from the ’70s. This makes for a potent and highly listenable cocktail of an album in “Black Diamonds”. Since their self-titled debut in 1988 to their widely praised recent suite of “comeback” albums, L.A. GUNS, led by Tracii Guns and Phil Lewis, have always delivered solid rock ‘n roll to their fans. Since core members Tracii and Phil reunited under the banner of L.A. Guns in 2017, a rekindling of the band’s creative energy has been continuing unabated over the course of, now, four studio albums. “Black Diamonds” shows no signs of this renaissance slowing down…

L.A. Guns never looked like the pretty poster boys that so many of their peers did, but more the band that you would be terrified to bump into in an alley as they would likely be carrying switchblades and ready for a fight. But despite having many songs to back up that image, the band could also write powerful ballads (see the smash hit, “The Ballad Of Jayne” for Exhibit A of this argument) that showed there were some serious songwriting chops in the band.

The story of how we got from the band’s powerful early years to a fourth new studio album in the relatively short time that Guns and Lewis have reunited has already been well documented, so no need to rehash it. What’s important to know and understand is that the driving force of all those classic L.A. Guns songs was Tracii and Phil. Feeling inspired and excited like they did when they first started out, but with many years of wisdom and experience under their belts, and most importantly, a renewed and stronger creative and personal relationship, Guns, Lewis, and L.A. Guns as a whole are at a creative peak.

Void metal outfit OMEGA INFINITY, the project of Xenoyr (NE OBLIVISCARIS) and Tentakel P. (TODTGELICHTER), is firing off “Death Rays,” the brand new single ft. guest vocalist Lindsay Schoolcraft! The song is taken from the band’s upcoming full-length, ‘The Anticurrent.’ Step into the galactic void and listen at THIS LOCATION.

Ron Young is the Lead Vocalist for the Los Angeles based, bluesy, hard rock band “Little Caesar. Ron was born in NYC and as we find out in his book “Judge This Book By It’s Cover”, was raised in a chaotic, working class environment. Weened on many forms of music that ultimately became his calling in life, he chose a path of making music for a living. That decision took him out west to Los Angeles in the heyday of the “Hair Metal” bands.

Realizing he didn’t fit in that genre of Rock and Roll, he formed Little Caesar in an attempt to get back to the blues based roots that were predominantly absent in that trend in music. He quickly put together a triumvirate of support with icons of the music industry that included Jimmy Iovine, John Kalodner and Bob Rock. His success seemed unstoppable when within a 4 week period of business catastrophes outside of his control, his career came crashing down to Earth.

His 14 minutes of fame nearly destroyed him and after years of drug abuse and pointless self pity, he rose from the ashes to continue on his journey of making music. He does so with the same band that showed so much promise years back. He continues to create and perform with Little Caesar, feeding their cult like following that they quickly collected some 35 years ago……yet this time the journey is pointed at satisfying the spirit rather than padding the wallet.
