Rising Swedish Melodic stars GATHERING OF KINGS have released a digital single for the track “Firefly”! The song is now available on all digital platforms and taken from the groups upcoming album “Enigmatic” which will be released on July 29th, 2022 via RN Records!

The album was mixed and mastered by award-winning producer Thomas “Plec” Johansson in Skövde, Sweden with Ron Dahlgren, Nina Dahlgren and Victor Olsson as executive producers. The songs was written and produced by Victor Olsson. Drums were recorded at Nordic Sound Lab in Skara by Mikko Viitala and Victor Olsson. The cover artwork was created by Markus Vesper, who also handled the art on the previous two albums.

The album features a guest appearance from the Swedish pop group One More Time. Its members are the singers Nanne Grönvall, one of the most beloved and popular artists in Sweden, Maria Rådsten and Peter Grönvall, the son of ABBA’s Benny Andersson, on keyboards.

Their first single Highland, 1992, hit the charts all around in Europe. In 1995 they composed a song for the Swedish Melodifestivalen, “Det Vackraste” that won a grammy for best song of the year, and in 1996 they won the Swedish Melodifestivalen and represented Sweden in the Eurovision Song Contest with their song “Den Vilda”, which ended in 3rd place.

Gathering Of Kings are the successful project built by Ron & Nina Dahlgren, bringing together top musicians from the current hard rock scene in Sweden. The idea was to create an AOR/Melodic Hard Rock project/band like Tom Galley’s Phenomena or even Tobias Sammet’s Avantasia, with multiple vocalists and instrumentalists. Victor Olsson quickly became the main songwriter.
The superlatives have hailed over Gathering Of Kings, which takes you straight back to the golden age of 80’s melodic hard rock and it is without a doubt one of the hottest acts in Sweden, now with two critically acclaimed records released, the third album, “Enigmatic”, will be released in July.

Four years after the release of their last EP Past Presents Future, the Austrian Heavy Stoner Rockers CIRCLE CREEK are going to release their new album “The World Is On Fire”. With songs like the unbridled Creatures, the ironic-sarcastic D.R.U.G.S, the admonishing heavy stoner rock anthem Killing Factories or the shocking rock thriller Tell Me Baby, CIRCLE CREEK (in collaboration of Rock Of Angels Records and NRT-Records) open a new chapter in their band history. “The World Is On Fire” offers contents for everybody, with songs that are fun but also with songs that make the listener think and illuminate the dark side of life.

Founded in 1983 by the twin brothers Christian & Didier Zirkelbach (vocals & guitar), CIRCLE CREEK are part of the cultural heritage of the Austrian music scene and with Bernhard Wolf (drums) and Wolfgang Huber (bass) Circle Creek has been a close brotherhood, cast together for years.

In the 1980s, Circle Creek were in high demand, especially as far as live events are concerned! Amongst many other Concerts, they played on the legendary Opus and Friends festival and have held various concerts and tours with well-known artists such as the Scorpions or Status Quo.

Furthermore several EP releases and sampler contributions adorn the band’s history. After a little break, the band celebrated their comeback in 2012 with the release of their album Anger. Various concerts took the band through Austria, Germany, Italy, Switzerland and Eastern Europe. In 2017 work began on The World Is On Fire, which received an appropriate artwork from the Austrian art legend Nikolaus Pessler.
Lovers of authentic, timeless and uncompromising rock art can look forward to August 5th, 2022 when Circle Creek will finally release their new album The World Is On Fire which will be presented at the InnRock Reloaded Festival in Tyrol at the same date.

THE MACHINIST’s New Album “All is Not Well” Out Now And Streaming

NY’s THE MACHINIST have released their sophomore album, All is Not Well, via Prosthetic Records. The extreme metal trio’s latest full length is a vicious amalgam of death metal and hardcore, tackling themes of political and social unrest as well as climate catastrophe. All is Not Well is available to order here.

Stream All is Not Well via Apple Music, TIDAL, Deezer, Bandcamp and Spotify

Speaking on the All is Not Well premiere, the band comments: “We want to say thank you to our friends, family, our fans, everyone who helped us with this record, from the bottom of our hearts we are so thankful for you. We can’t wait to put this album out for you all, we have so much to say and we want to be heard. It has been a long couple of years but we are beyond excited to share this with you all.”

Three years on from their debut full length, Confidimus in Morte, and following US and Canadian tours alongside Falsifier and Black Tongue as well as US support slots with While She Sleeps and Vulvodynia respectively, the New York, NY trio have undergone a transformative process of upheaval. In the immediate wake of the Coronavirus pandemic that ravaged their homestate, THE MACHINIST found themselves at ground zero in New York in the early stages of All is Not Well’s creation. With a state of emergency declared, all studio work on the record ceased for an indeterminate time. In this universal limbo the groups core of Amanda Gjelaj (vocals), Josh Gomez (guitar) and Steve Ciorciari (drums) watched on in horror as 2020s political climate began to fall under the weight of itself alongside societal ills and the spread of rampant misinformation.

Resuming recording as the world tentatively took to recovery, THE MACHINIST teamed up with Daniel “DL” Laskiewicz (Bad Wolves, ex-The Acacia Strain) to produce, mix and master their sophomore effort, with help from Ice Nine Kills’ Ricky Armellino for vocal tracking. The time spent in isolation and witnessing the horrors of police brutality (explored on PIG), inflammatory politics and minority communities coming to terms with loss sits restlessly within the marrow of All is Not Well’s lyrical themes. Sonically, Gomez’s penchant for converging both death metal brutality and intricate melodic metal and hardcore serves as a counterpart to All is Not Well’s excoriating kickback at a world in crisis.

THE MACHINIST’s latest effort finds the band embracing more melodious territory and refining their more expansive inclinations with  Gjelaj’s vocal performance looming large as an anchoring force on the release’s nine tracks. Across All is Not Well’s 34 minute runtime, it’s plain to see that THE MACHINIST’s decade long existence has led to All is Not Well being the most conceptually and musically realised incarnation of the band yet.

Standing tall in 2022, THE MACHINIST discards solipsistic tunnel vision for a wider scope of the personal and political. All is Not Well refuses to resign in the face of the current climate’s ongoing political and personal divisions, opting instead to shine a light and give a platform for the chance of hope.

All is Not Well tracklist:
1. PIG
2. Mother Earth
3. All is Not Well
4. Hourglass
5. The Final Encounter
6. Death’s Embrace
7. Lysergic Lullaby
8. Monsters
9. Letter in Red

Dom’s co-headline UK tour with Erja follows the release of his latest album A Savage Life which has received rave reviews including Classic Rock’s ‘Blues Album of the Month’. Dom recently won two UK Blues Awards including Blues Instrumentalist of the Year and Acoustic Blues Artist of the Year.

Finnish blues-rock slide guitarist and singer songwriter Erja Lyytinen will release her ninth studio album Waiting for the Daylight on Tuohi Records on Friday October 7th 2022. Featuring nine original songs, the highly anticipated new album is available to pre-order from https://erjalyytinen.com/waiting-for-the-daylight.

The first single from the albumBad Seedwas released on Wednesday 29th June 2022, and is now available to buy and stream from https://ffm.to/pjjq61y.

For musicians, the last two years have been a period of reflection and soul searching. What to do with oneself in the absence of life on the road? And would live music ever be able to return to the way it was pre-pandemic? Artists and music fans alike waited for that glimmer of hope and the return of some semblance of normality. Written largely during the pandemic era Erja Lyytinen’s new studio album Waiting For The Daylight encapsulates these emotions.

With time on her hands, Lyytinen was able to pause, dig deep and fully process her feelings. Some of which she had been carrying for a long time. This journey of self-exploration proved to be a source of inspiration for the artist’s latest offering. Carrying on from the gifted guitarist’s last two studio albums, Stolen Hearts, and Another World, respectively, Lyytinen continues to explore themes such as love, loss, heartbreak, and sometimes even revenge. Events transpiring around the world occasionally fed into the storyboard of Lyytinen’s song writing.

The album was recorded during the first half of 2022, between Erja’s hectic touring schedule, with the bulk of the sessions taking place at The Hollywood House in Helsinki, Finland. Lyytinen was joined in the studio by long-standing bass player Tatu Back and drummer Iiro Laitinen. Having played on every one of Lyytinen’s albums since 2008, Harri Taittonen features once again on Hammond and keyboard.

Waiting For The Daylight
illustrates a new chapter in Erja’s musical and artistic trajectory. The album was proudly produced by Lyytinen herself. Subsequently, Erja simultaneously explored sounds on the periphery of the blues-rock genre. She fearlessly pushed herself and the band further than previously before.

During her formative years, Erja was schooled on the sounds of the 60s and 70s by her mother, and with her latest offering, she pays homage to rock greats such as Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple, and Uriah Heap. With its heavy groove, atmospheric textures, and passionate delivery the title track is a testament to this. The song Waiting For The Daylight also features perhaps one of the artist’s most mesmerising and emotive solos to date. Lyytinen further showcases her chops during the album’s hook-laden opening number and lead single, Bad Seed.

The artist pours her heart and soul into the cathartic number Last Girl. Erja describes the latter a cross between Satriani meets Iron Maiden. Says Erja, “The song talks about bullying in schools and how you can be left out of a friendship group. I always put something of my own in the songs as well, so it became a very important song on many levels.”

Just as the title dictates, at approximately seven minutes long, The End of Music concludes the release to great effect. “The song talks about missing being back on stage and the audience, as many of us musicians did during the pandemic,” explains Erja.

For Erja and her fans alike, the new studio album and her return to touring the UK is worth the wait.

IT WILL LAST – led by Simone Carnaghi, musician / teacher / composer multi-instrumentalist (bass, drums, guitar) from Milan, Italy – have released their third video “Bound”, the new single from the album “Nightmares in Daylight” published in September 2021, totally composed / arranged, played (all instruments and male choirs), recorded, mixed and mastered in total autonomy by Simone at his private Rock & Music studio in Milan.

“Bound” is a song that addresses the issue of the increasingly worrying technology addiction.

It is a concept album that talks about some of the many aspects that are consuming the world we live in. The genre is a fusion of several ingredients ranging from classic metal, to progressive (and more), 80s sound with a production, deliberately different from today’s metal …”A blast from the past” in a personal way. The album is available on the page of our record label Wanikiya Record by Mr. Jack, as well as Itunes, Amazon Music, etc.

Also watch the first single “Global warning”, a song that addresses the issue of the increasingly worrying environmental situation and related climatic changes caused by humans: https://youtu.be/yRdHiAE7Q5c
