Co-Founder of Quiet Riot Kelly Garni recently spoke to Jimmy Kay from The Metal Voice on June 23, 2022
In the chat Garni spoke about the highly anticipated and recent re-issues of the rare Randy Rhoads era Quiet Riot 1 & 2 (via No Remorse Records), He comparing the sound quality vs the original recording and how impressed he was with the new packaging.
Garni also spoke about growing up with Randy Rhoads, the rivalry of Randy Rhoads and Eddie Van Halen, as well as being replaced by Rudy Sarzo when Quiet Riot 2 was released and who he considers an original member.
Quiet Riot was founded in 1973 by guitarist Randy Rhoads and bassist Kelly Garni.
Quiet Riot is the self-titled debut studio album, it was released exclusively in Japan on 2 March 1978.
Quiet Riot II is the second studio album, released in 2 December 1978. As with their first album, it was a Japan-only release.
Hardly any hard rock act has seen a rise recent years like the all-female rock band THUNDERMOTHER. Following their latest, chart-breaking album Heat Wave (2020), that has been praised by both fans and international music press alike, August 19, 2022 will see the Swedish rock ladies release their hotly anticipated, new album, Black And Gold, via AFM Records!
Twelve adrenaline-fuelled songs will take you on a wild, high voltage and powerful ride into the filthy yet catchy rock ‘n’ roll sound THUNDERMOTHER is known and loved for: Creating infectious party rock songs with an irresistible feelgood appeal! Without any doubt, Black And Gold looks set to be a real landmark and next level for the charismatic, authentic and ambitious band, as previously-released, first singles “I Don’t Know You” and “Watch Out” already proved. Now, THUNDERMOTHER has shared a warm-hearting lyric video created by drummer Emlee Johansson, featuring never-before-seen footage of the band members and their childhoods, for new album single “Hot Mess”!
“Hot Mess, is about finding that one person that really sees you and accepts you for who you are, flaws and all.” Vocalist Guernica Mancini comments.
“About the video, we couldn’t be more happy! Emlee has really been able to capture the emotions of the song in this beautifully executed video, from the melancholy of being away from someone you love and wanting to find that love and then to finally having it. Emlee’s talent goes beyond and we are so grateful that we are fortunate enough to have such a multi-talented, creative force in our tribe. We love this video, and we love her!!
Emlee adds: “To my band, thank you for believing in me as a video director/producer and trusting me with my vision. To my sisters, thank you for lending me the equipment necessary to make this video happen and last but not least, thank you Petter for always being my rock, coach and problem solver, without your support I would have lost my mind!“
With four studio albums to date and countless, frenetically acclaimed live shows under their belt – not even the Corona pandemic could completely slow the band down and they played concerts from such as the roof of a fire truck, THUNDERMOTHER were born for the stage, their energetic live shows have to be seen. Word of this has spread all the way to the top, and THUNDERMOTHER has just received the highest honor: none other than the legendary SCORPIONS and WHITESNAKE have invited the Swedes as special guests for their North American Rock Believer stadium tour 2022! All upcoming THUNDERMOTHER live dates, including an extensive schedule of European shows this summer, can be found below.
Their new album, Black And Gold, was recorded at Bagpipe Studios, Stockholm, and was mixed and mastered by Søren Andersen at Medley Studios in Copenhagen. Fans have been patiently awaiting the band’s upcoming magnum opus, but this summer, your wait is finally over: August 26, 2022 will see Swedish melodic metal force DYNAZTY release their brand new album, entitled Final Advent, via AFM Records!
As previously-released, first album singles already proved, the Final Advent will mark the band’s most cohesive, imaginative, complex and at the same time most homogeneous album to date in Dynazty’s over 10-year career. Today, the Swedes have shared a brand new video clip for the epic track “Natural Born Killer”, directed by Patric Ulleaus of Revolver Film Company in Gothenborg, who already worked with acts such as In Flames, Evergrey, or Amaranthe to name just a few. Says vocalist Nils Molin:
“Each song on the album has very individual lyrics. Some are short stories within a short song structure, such as ‘Yours’, whereas ‘Power Of Will’ or ‘Natural Born Killer’ have a message. ‘Natural Born Killer’ warns of the dangers of blindly obsessing about and idealizing another person.”
There are plenty of reasons why musicians succeed in getting the optimum out of their creative talent. In case of Dynazty and their forthcoming, eighth studio album, Final Advent, the extra time forced upon them by the pandemic may have been one important factor, but it would be short-sighted to attribute their impressive new material solely to the time they had to write, record and produce their new offering. At the end of the day, Dynazty appears as an ambitious band who has invested all their talent and experience, combined with a healthy dose of enthusiasm, ambition and tremendous compositional and musical expertise.
Ever since their formation in 2008, Dynazty’s career may read like a fairytale, but is the result of a hard-working band. Countless shows all over Europe with acts alike Sabaton, Battle Beast or Pain to name just a few, an incredibly successful back catalogue of seven chart-breaking albums, millions of streams on digital platforms prove, Dynazty not only captures the Zeitgeist of modern melodic metal, but with the Final Advent the band will even double-down all expectations and success!
Final Advent was produced by the band themselves and primarily recorded in Love Magnusson`s studio in Stockholm, drums were recorded in Denmark at the Hansen Studios (owned by sound icon Jacob Hansen, who also mixed and mastered the album). The cover artwork was designed by Brazilian artist Gustavo Sazes, who has also worked for British Lion (feat. Iron Maiden bassist Steve Harris), Kamelot, Firewind, Iced Earth and Nils Molin’s second band, Amaranthe.
August 26, 2022 will see rising death doom metal act ENDONOMOS release its self-titled debut album on Argonauta Records. Now, the up-and-coming band has premiered a music video for the second single “Atropos”, which can be seen below.
Fans of acts such as Ahab and alikes should give ear, as ENDONOMOS unleashes a fierce blend of sinister and menacing doom/death, yet with epic melodies of classic doom metal. Low and weighty grunt-vocals are continually breached by melodic, clean vocals, the thunderous rhythm guitar is accompanied by numerous highly melodic lead guitars and, from time to time, fragile clean parts.
“For our second single we chose a significantly more sinister sounding song and one of my personal favourites,” says band mastermind Lukas Haidinger. “It deals loosely with the “vanitas” motif, yet focussing rather on inevitability and human inability.
With this song you will get a further glimpse at the different aspects of the upcoming album, and we are more than excited to show you it’s entire face soon!”
Just exclusively premiered with No Clean Singing, you can now watch the new ENDONOMOS video for “Atropos” here:
ENDONOMOS is the brainchild of Austrian multi-instrumentalist, producer and session musician Lukas Haidinger, who is mostly known for playing extreme metal in bands such as Profanity, Nervecell, Distaste and many more, but as a longtime doomer, he finally brought his sinister yet melodic sound to tape.
Of what started as a one man’s urge to craft menacing yet epic death doom, turned into a full group of dedicated musicians in 2021. Along with some of his closest friends to accompany Haidinger on this new adventure, namely Armin Schweiger (drums), Philipp Forster (guitars) and Christoph Steinlechner (guitars), ENDONOMOS will finally introduce their upcoming, self-titled debut; recorded, mixed and mastered by Haidinger in his DeepDeepPressure Studios; on August 26th through powerhouse label Argonauta Records. The pre-sale will be starting soon at THIS LOCATION!
Sweden’s HOT BREATH launch a music video for their latest, stand alone single “Feeling ’Bout This”; a garage rock explosion with powerful vocals and thrilling riffs of which the band comments:
“The song Feeling ‘Bout This’ is about when you find a person who has the same rhythm and desire as you in life, both in the mind and in bed”
The single is out now on all streaming platforms and YouTube via The Sign Records.
Recently returning from a 16 date European tour supporting Hällas, Hot Breath is now ready to once again hit the road – this time together with Spiders in Germany, Belgium, and the Netherlands, starting in Rostock on the 7th of July. The dates are as follows:

Today CLASSLESS ACT, one of the most buzzed-about up-and-coming rock bands, are releasing their much-anticipated debut album, Welcome To The Showvia Better Noise Music. Having already earned more than one million streams, the new album gained early traction with three previously released singles, including the self-titled “Classless Act” that features a guest appearance by Mötley Crüe’s Vince Neil, the catchy “This Is For You” with Justin Hawkins of The Darkness, and the bombastic “Time To Bleed.”
“Just like the song says, we gave you all our blood, our sweat, our tears, our hate, our sex, our deepest, darkest fears. This is for you!” said frontman Derek Day about the album.
Also premiering today is the new single and music video, “All That We Are,” the final installment in the four-part, interlocking video series that loosely follows the band as they set the soundtrack for the misadventures of Farley, an unlucky soul in the wrong place at the wrong time. You can watch the music video HERE.
“All that we are – is it enough for us to survive?” asks Day. “This is a question, a concept we found ourselves asking after all we have been through over the past two years. Hell, the past seven or so years. We’ve been in a wee bit of a less-than-sunny time in our history. So what are we gonna do? Grow or go! Everyone needs to decide. We’ve got a show tonight, so I know what we’re doing!”
Classless Act is poised to find a whole new legion of fans, first with their single “Classless Act” appearing on the soundtrack for THE RETALIATORSfilm, out this fall, and as they continue in their opening spot on this summer’s 36-date North American Stadium Tour, performing alongside Mötley Crüe, Def Leppard, Poison and Joan Jett. The tour kicked off June 16 in Atlanta and runs through September 9 in Las Vegas.
“They’re going to be right at home on this tour,” said Loudwire’s Toni Gonzalez. “They are straight up, fun rock ‘n’ roll, high energy, a little dirty and very reminiscent of when rock reigned supreme.”
Classless Act’s previous tour alongside Dorothy ushered in a slew of positive reviews, with Front Row Perspective writing, “Every now and again you run across a band which you can immediately categorize as ‘I saw them when’ for future conversations. Classless Act is one of those bands!” Or Official Indie who heralded, “Classless Act hit the stage at 100 miles per hour…Watching the high energy act on stage made me think of what it must have been like to have seen Guns N Roses when they first started.”
It’s not often that a band comes around like Classless Act, the L.A.-based quintet who many are forecasting will be the new guard of rock ‘n’ roll, tempting a new generation of fans and giving rock’s faithful a reason to keep believing. They’ve been applauded by bands like Jane’s Addiction and Mötley Crüe, given nods from execs with Live Nation and MTV and are already finding their footing in major international markets barely a year after releasing their first single.
While the music tells its own story, so do the members of the band themselves, hailing from all over the globe, including Hawaii, Los Angeles, Argentina and Dallas. The band, featuring Derek Day (vocals), Dane Pieper (guitar), Griffin Tucker (guitar), Franco Gravante (bass), and Chuck McKissock (drums), first formed in 2018 when the five former strangers met via social media.
The band has also garnered the attention of rock bibles like Loudwire, SPIN, Metal Hammer and Blabbermouth, the latter who said Classless Act “stands ready to carve out a legacy of its own.”
