Just recently, Polish death metal legends VADER performed at Mystic Festival in Gdańsk, Poland. Watch the drum cam footage where their new drummer Michal (Michael) Andrzejczyk is performing “Reborn In Flames” from the album “De Profundis”. Sound directly from the camera (GoPro Hero 7 Black).

Enjoy it here:

VADER Frontman Peter shared:
“VADERMANIAX !!! Please, let me officially introduce Vader’s new „nuclear engine” , our new drummer Michal (Michael) Andrzejczyk, who joined the band this year in February at the show in Wroclaw on „Awakening of the Tyrants Tour”. Michael replaced James Stewart drumming in Vader for last decade. Both drummers were working pretty intense together quite long time before to make a change smooth and well. Michal is a young but already experienced drummer playing in such hordes like Insidius or Varmia before. Few words from Michał himself below:
„I am Vader Fan since I remember. This music had huge influence on me as a drummer. With goose skin I was listening the albums and a Vader show was my very first real one I was watching. After that event I decided to play Death Metal. To be a part of it now is a dreaming came true indeed. It’s a real honor to me to continue after so great drummers, wha were inspiring me as a drummer. It
means much work for me but I won’t disappoint Fans for sure.”

LOST SOCIETY Release Video for New Single ‘Stitches’

Finnish modern metal squad LOST SOCIETY recently shook the scene upside down with “112”, the first single of their upcoming album “If The Sky Came Down”, which is going to be released on September 30th via Nuclear Blast Records.

With “Stitches” the band delivers a heavy pounding anthem for any modern metalhead out there, while addressing serious mental health issues.

Frontman Samy Elbanna about the song:
“Chapter 5 continues, and we’re heading deeper inside the human mind.
Stitches talks about something that is more than familiar for so many people. The fact that no matter how hard you try to mask your traumas and past scars, they always find a way of haunting you until you come head to head with them all.
Sometime’s you just have to pull out your stitches and let all the blood and hurt come out, before you can finally start healing.”

He continues about the video:
“Vita Pictura has once again delivered a true masterpiece. Once again the intensity and true anguish of the track get an incredible visual representation, and the viewers will definitely feel what this song is all about. The video has us in scenes of near insanity, but also in our most free state. Just as the lyric, we feel trapped by our past, until we rip off the last remaining stitches to let it all out and realise we’re not alone.”

ANTHRAX Drop Second Live Track ‘The Devil You Know’

Today, ANTHRAX releases ‘The Devil You Know’ live, the second “early taste” single/music video from the band’s 40th anniversary livestream concert, ‘XL’. The release will be available in the UK/Europe digitally on July 15th (Nuclear Blast), followed by a Blu-Ray release (inc. 2CD + 1Blu-Ray) on July 22nd. It will be available in North America on Blu-Ray/CD/Digital on July 15th (Megaforce).

Pre-order ‘XL’ here: https://geni.us/anthraxxl

Stream/purchase ‘The Devil You Know’ live here: https://geni.us/anthraxtdyk

‘The Devil You Know’ was the first official single released from the band’s highly-acclaimed 2011 album, Worship Music, and was a stand-out track with the media. Rolling Stone referred to it as  “…a relentlessly heavy number…as aggressive and punishing as you would expect from the band, but with a touch of old school AC/DC swagger thrown in for good measure,” while Loudwire wrote that it was “addictive and propulsive…Scott unleashes what might be the riff of the year.”

ANTHRAX celebrated their 40th anniversary last year, on July 18th 2021, but due to Covid had to cancel their global touring plans, scheduled for the band to celebrate its milestone with their fans all around the world. While the band are about six months into their 41st year, the band – Joey Belladonna, Scott Ian, Frank Bello, Charlie Benante, and guitarist Jon Donais are due to finally head out on that global anniversary tour. In late July, ANTHRAX will kick off their 26-date co-headline North American tour with Black Label Society, joined by Hatebreed. They will then head to the UK and Europe in late September to headline a five-week run with MUNICIPAL WASTE. Tickets and VIP packages can be purchased at anthrax.com. All dates are below.

CABAL Announce New Album “Magno Interitus”, Release Video for First Single

Today’s the longest day of the year, followed by a short magical night: Midsummer. It’s the perfect time to celebrate with flowers and plants, lightheartedly and with your loved ones in ecstatic joy. But this year, something dark lurks under the flower wreaths – ready to herald the uprising of the most brutal metal force that Denmark ever unleashed into the world.

Praised as one of the most promising and interesting bands in the Danish deathcore scene, CABAL gets ready to enter a new level in their so-far impressive career that recently has been crowned by pumped liveshows alongside bands like LORNA SHORE or NASTY. Today, the band announces their new longplayer Magno Interitus that will be released on October 21st via Nuclear Blast.

CABAL states:
“The album Magno Interitus – which translates to the great decay, was written during the pandemic when we felt like everything was falling apart right in front of us, both in grand scheme of things but also on a much more personal level. So most of the songs serve as an outlet for all of the emotions we’ve felt during this time, which is also why this might not be the most uplifting album ever produced. The album was recorded, produced and mixed and mastered by our very own Chris Kreutzfeldt.”

The album will be available as Digipak [limited edition], Black Single LP, Crystal Clear with Gold Single LP [limited to 500 units, Mailorder + Wholesale exclusive], Gold + Black Marbled Single LP [limited to 500 units, USA exclusive], Crystal Clear with Red + Black Splatter Single LP [limited to 300 units, bandshop exclusives] and on all streaming platforms.

CABAL is one of the most brutal and promising heavy acts hailing from Copenhagen, Denmark. The band aims to create a visceral and doom-laden atmosphere throughout both their music and visual expression. The production is crystal clear, whilst the songwriting draws inspiration from everything from black and death metal to djent and hardcore.
Since the release of their debut album “Mark of Rot” in 2018, the young band has managed to make a name for themselves in both Denmark and the rest of the world by playing renowned festivals like Copenhell, Roskilde Festival, Euroblast Festival and Complexity Fest as well as touring in Europe, Japan and North America.
CABAL released the sophomore album “Drag Me Down” in April 2020 – a dark descent into a personal hell brought to life by crushing instrumentals, an oppressive atmosphere and dark personal lyrics delivered with relentless intensity, while still leaving room for experimentation and expansion of CABAL’s signature sound. Add to this guest appearances from metal titans TRIVIUM’s Matt Heafy, rising metalcore stars POLARIS’ Jamie Hails and Denmark’s Blackgaze darlings MØL’s Kim Song Sternkopf and there is no doubt that CABAL is a band with friends in every corner of the metal scene.

Just recently, Morten Veland (SIRENIA, MORTEMIA and founder of TRISTANIA) released the 10th Mortemia song ‘What Else is There?’ from ‘The Pandemic Pandemonium Sessions’. The track features Zora Cock (Blackbriar) on guest vocals and it is available on all digital platforms. ‘What Else is There?’ is a cover version of the Norwegian band Röyksopp’s original version released back in 2005’.

Today MORTEMIA release a new official video for ‘What else is there?’, watch it below.

Morten Veland:

“I am proud and honoured to introduce Zora Cock from Blackbriar as my special guest for ‘The Pandemic Pandemonium Sessions’. The 10th song is entitled ‘What Else is There?’, and will be available on all digital platforms on the 17th of June 2022. This song is a cover version of the Norwegian band Röyksopp originally released back in 2005. Sirenia and Blackbriar performed at the same festival in The Netherlands some years ago, and that’s when I first discovered the band and Zora’s unique voice. Zora has a really haunting and distinct voice that really stands out, a signature voice so to say. As soon as she starts singing you can immediately tell it’s her. After the show in The Netherlands I was an instant fan of Blackbriar and Zora. I feel truly privileged and thankful to have Zora on board this project, and I am really looking forward to sharing this song with you all. I find this song very unique and special and it will definitely add to the great variety on The Pandemic Pandemonium Sessions.”

Zora Cock:

“A little while ago I went to a Sirenia show and met up with Morten afterwards. The show was amazing and so was the meet-up with Morten! He played me the song he had in mind for me and it really made an impression on me. I was so enthusiastic about it that I started recording my vocals the next day. This song shows a different side of me, yet I still feel like it fits me very well. I love music that can put you in some sort of trance, and I think this one will do that to you. Working with Morten feels like a wish come true, and I hope you’ll love this collaboration as much as I do!”

After 11 years of silence Norwegian multi-instrumentalist, producer and artist Morten Veland is once more active with his solo project Mortemia, this time with a brand new concept. ‘The Pandemic Pandemonium Sessions’ is a series of singles  released on a monthly basis, each song featuring a well known and highly profiled guest singer from the metal scene, so far the following singers has contributed:

  • Madeleine Liljestam (Eleine)
  • Marcela Bovio (Stream of Passion, Ayreon, MaYaN, Dark Horse White Horse)
  • Alessia Scolletti (Temperance, ERA)
  • Liv Kristine (Liv Kristine, ex-Theatre of Tragedy, ex-Leaves Eyes)
  • Melissa Bonny (Ad Infinitum, The Dark Side of the Moon)
  • Brittney Slayes (Unleash the Archers)
  • Maja Shining (Forever Still)
  • Erica Ohlsson (Metalite)
  • Heidi Parviainen (Dark Sarah, ex Amberian Dawn)
  • Zora Cock (Blackbriar)
