DRAGGED UNDER and Mascot Records / Mascot Label Group have released the band’s new studio album UPRIGHT ANIMALS. Over the course of the past couple of years, the band has emerged with a formidable fan base yielding millions of streams. On a visual level, they are amongst the most creative visionaries when it comes to the medium of music videos, with each clip being more compelling than the last. Today, the band and label premiere a new tour video for “Never Enough” here:
Prior to the new album’s street date, Dragged Under band presented “Crooked Halos” (https://youtu.be/Ch11ukbOOy8) and “All Of Us” (https://youtu.be/uIBGie-JCbQ). But nothing is more poignant when it comes to Dragged Under than the unwavering commitment to articulate the personal perspective of front man Tony Cappocchi when it comes to humanity and The World as we know it circa 2022.
At the time of “All of Us” being revealed, he shared, “For me, ‘All of Us’ is meant to connect with anyone who listens to it. I want everyone to feel that despite their situation; be it relationship issues, social pressures, self perception, we’ve all had a weird few years, and a lot hasn’t gone as we planned. It’s important to zoom out from the microscope through which we view our problems, and realize that life and all of its frustrations are happening to all of us. We wanted to make a lighthearted video to contrast the tension of the song, but we liked the idea of using dolls to tell that story. It’s a bit of a commentary on the nature of feeling a bit out of control of the situations we’ve found ourselves in the last couple of years, and how we sometimes have to just pretend it’s all good. Dolls have an ability that I envy, they can smile through their problems and hide their emotions. I can’t relate.”
When you strip everything else away, we rely on our animal instincts to survive. In the face of danger, we either flee or fight without hesitation. No matter how many perceived differences exist between us, we breathe the same air, drink the same water, and eat the same way to subsist. Dragged Under naturally harness this primal power in their hard-hitting hybrid of punk, rock, metal, and hardcore. Choosing to progress, the Seattle quintet—Tony Cappocchi [vocals], Ryan Bruce [guitar], Sean Rosario [guitar], Hans Hessburg [bass], and Kalen Anderson [drums]—sharpen their claws, teeth, and style on their second full-length album, Upright Animals [Mascot Records / Mascot Label Group].
“There’s obviously a media divide, there’s a class divide, and there’s a racial divide in this country,” observes Tony. “In many ways, we use our animal instincts to think when it’s convenient for us instead of our evolutionary abilities. Trying to keep up with all of the information these days is like drinking from a firehose. So, our animal tendencies still shine through. A lot of enlightenment still needs to happen before we can consider ourselves anything other than animals walking around on their hindlegs. That’s what the album is about.”

The third full length from the trio, “Event Horizon” is ONELEGMAN’s most peculiar release to follow a new concept for each one of its tracks; to create a mosaic with sounds, lyrics, and graphics in order to show to the listener the direction of their journey. The band explains in further detail:
“We’ve always meant for our music to give listeners an odyssey and this intention was never stronger than on this third album. We have aimed high, but not necessarily far, we focus on the intimacy of humanity, sometimes on the unconscious, and to explore the universe to the limit of possible knowledge and consciousness. We titled the album “Event Horizon” because it is precisely that, an EVENT HORIZON. This album is an auditory exploration of new worlds, the chaos theory, the last days of a star’s life, the direction of time, entropy, the fourth dimension that is gravity, love as an elementary form of existence, existence as a mere force of attraction and repulsion between electrons, existence as creatures of God or as sons of physics and chemistry.”
It is not the band’s intention to translate the works of scientists such as Greene, Rovelli, Bertone, Hawking, Jim Al-Khalili, and Primo Levi into music, but to take inspiration from their treatises, terminologies, and thoughts to build cosmic and quantum images where they search for the true human essence, perhaps where life is born.
Today, the band is revealing their first single and the album’s title track with a new music video that can be watched below.
The band adds: “Welcome to the world of science fiction. Black holes challenge the nature of space and time, passing through one of them would mean understanding and revealing the intimate secret of the universe. Event Horizon is not only a physical limit that our current technology does not allow us to cross, it’s a mental limit we’ll have to push ourselves to cross to understand the real potential of our mind and the true meaning of life. This track reflects the power of the lyrics with heavy and monumental guitar riffs, orchestral strings, and wide choruses. The video clip was made capturing the creation of a painting by Alessandro Rinaldoni, a talented artist and close friend of ours since the beginning of our career.

About: ONELEGMAN was formed in 2003 in Reggio Emilia, Italy. They introduced themselves to the world with their 2007 self-produced EP. In 2011, they collaborated with Dysfunction Production, an Italian team of producers who worked with Dino Cazares (Fear Factory), Tue Madsen (Meshuggah), Logan Mader (Machine Head) and Dan Korneff (Paramore), Bjorn Strid (Soilwork) among the others to produce their debut album “The Crack”.
In 2015, they released their sophomore full-length “DO YOU REALLY THINK THIS WORLD WAS MADE FOR YOU?”. The record was a more rock-oriented, dynamic, orchestral concept album about people experiencing, living, and interpreting the theme of change through a tragedy that leaves a mark on their lives forever. It was dedicated to those affected by the earthquakes that struck the Emilia-Romagna region in Northern Italy during May 2012.
Supporting their catalogue with tours across Italy and sharing the stage with bands like HATEBREED, WOLFMOTHER, and LACUNA COIL among many others, ONELEGMAN entered the studio in 2019 to create their third album, “Event Horizon” now set for release in 2022.
MÄDHOUSE have released their new official video for their first single “Down ‘N’ Dirty”! The track is taken from the band’s upcoming album of the same title “Down ‘N’ Dirty” that will be released on July 29, 2022 via ROAR! Rock Of Angels Records!
“A nice girl gone astray… she got one foot in the grave and the other one on the street”
Following previously released, first single “Heksedans “, SAHG has dropped another, new song and the title track of their upcoming album, Born Demon! The band’s sixth studio record will be out on October 21, 2022 through Drakkar Entertainment.
“We chose Born Demon as the title track, and to release it as a single, because it is one of the heaviest tracks on the record, and it tells something about the overall theme on the album”, Olav Iversen comments. “About how all human beings have their demons. Everyone has an evil side, dark powers which are hard to control, and which sometimes go out of control, and make us do bad things to ourselves and to others. Every one of us is born with a dark side, and everyone is Born Demon.”
He continues: “The lyrics are about the newborn child of a woman and a demon. The mother is in deep shame and deeply regrets her mistake with the evil seducer. She doesn’t want the child, and plans to leave the newborn deep in the forest to die. But the child uses its demonic powers to get back at her in the most gruesome way …”
Watch the brand new SAHG video clip for album title track, Born Demon, now streaming HERE:
“The song originated from a riff that I wrote many, many years ago, in the early years of Sahg’s existence”, Olav adds. “It has stuck with me through all this time, and I always loved the heavy, dark vibe of it, but I haven’t been able to write a song from it, until now. That riff is now the main riff of Born Demon. The song materialized when I came up with the verse, and when we made the massive choir arrangements towards the end. We decided to go full-on Queen on that part, with the entire band singing along. And we have no regrets for doing it.”
Entering the Norwegian metal scene in 2006 as a classic doom band, wasn’t necessarily a recipe for success. Black metal was still the big thing coming from Norway, and there wasn’t much space for bands from other subgenres. Even with Gorgoroth members King ov Hell and Kvitrafn in the line-up, adding a touch of blackness, it wasn’t very likely that Sahg would get an instant break-through. But, the band took the heavy music scene by storm with their blistering, chart-breaking debut Sahg I.
Throughout the following decade, Sahg released five critically acclaimed albums, and played several tours and festivals across Europe, the United States and Asia to date. They have toured as support act for bands like Motörhead, W.A.S.P., Opeth, Clutch, Satyricon, Dimmu Borgir and Enslaved to name just a few, and appeared at prestigous festivals such as Wacken Open Air, Summerbreeze, Sweden Rock Festival, Hard Rock Hell, Tons of Rock, Inferno Festival and Beyond the Gates among many more. To this day, Sahg has always stayed trve to their doom and heavy metal roots, and still holds the throne as Norway’s high guardians of doomed heavy metal. They are the bastard sons of Black Sabbath, Motörhead, Pentagram and Judas Priest. Classic heavy metal for the new age, with a desire for the occult, aversion for religion, and a gloomy gaze into the inevitable apocalypse, all served with a cold bite of Norwegian Blackness. With the ruthless force of a classic power trio and their upcoming album Born Demon under their belt, Sahg is part of a renaissance that will bring vintage doom and classic heavy metal back to the masses!

LISTEN TO THE FULL ALBUM STREAM OF BORN INTO CHAOS BELOW.
Speaking on the album release, Dana Helmuth (guitar / vocals) comments: “The wait is over and we are super stoked for the full release of Born Into Chaos! We will be playing this entire album on our upcoming tours, and we’re excited to take it to an even higher level!”
Written during the pandemic, Born into Chaos combines the uncertainty of the times and the desire to push forward at all costs. The group often jammed, while Helmuth constantly wrote, always looking to up his game. Riffs were hammered out via voice recorder and exchanged with drummer Lafferty and bassist Geisbert to keep the collaboration between members alive and productive. All eight songs were birthed frenzied and combative. Clearly, YATRA weren’t ready to capitulate or sacrifice re-discovered instinct.
Born into Chaos was recorded by YATRA, engineered by Noel Mueller (Foehammer, Myopic) at Tiny Castle Recording in Towson, Maryland. Mueller also handled the mix. The band then onboarded Brad Boatright (Sleep, Monolord) at Audiosiege in Portland, Oregon, to master. The team’s primary goal was to give YATRA heft, grit, and power on new songs like Born into Chaos, Terrorizer and Tormentation. Truly, from the first to the last spin, there’s no escape from YATRA’s feral charge on Born into Chaos.
Like their 2020 full length, All is Lost, YATRA’s Born into Chaos will come adorned in a Paolo Girardi (Power Trip, Black Breath) while also revealing a revamped logo by renowned artist Mark Riddick (Nunslaughter, Revel in Flesh). Draped in straightforward yet probing lyrics and supported by a killer horror-inspired video for Terminate by the Sword, Born into Chaos exposes the bone of YATRA’s complete transformation. The group’s new album will see them chart new courses for North America and Europe in 2022 and 2023.
