LÜT Release Their Most Personal Song Yet ‘Tydeligvis E Æ Like Vanlig Som Alle Andre’

LÜT have been tapping into the consciousness of rock-loving audiences ever since the band saw the light of day in 2014. In recent years, the band has undergone some major changes, as shown in the upcoming song “Tydeligvis E Æ Like Vanlig Som Alle Andre” which is released today, Wednesday, June 1st.

“This track is extremely different musically and lyrically than what we have done before.
Before Hans Marius Mikkelsen left the band, he wrote most of the songs and this was one of his sketches, which I continued to work on.
I’ve always liked it, but it’s just been in the drawer until now.
It is very cool that it will finally be released, but also a little scary since the track has become so personal”, says vocalist and songwriter in the band, Markus Danjord.

“Tydeligvis E Æ Like Vanlig Som Alle Andre” is about seeing oneself from the outside, how to treat people around you and how our actions affect others.”

Markus himself believes that it can be new life situations and the encounter with big choices that result in you reflecting even more on your own life and who you are. In the last three years,
LÜT has lost three members from the band’s original cast.
Though the new members have brought the band new life, at the same time Markus makes no secret of the fact that it has also been demanding;

“The big changes we have experienced within the band have meant that we have had to find new ways. It has been very positive for our development, but also offered great challenges. In addition, we are spread all over the country, which does not make it easier. This song and the somewhat self-realizing lyrics are probably a result of the somewhat tough and lonely periods,” he says.

SEETHING AKIRA Release Blitzing New Single ‘Punishment Instructions’

Explosive. Bombastic. Defiant. Intense. SEETHING AKIRA continue to rampage forward with their gloriously turbulent nu-metal sound. Hot off the editorial success of their last album Dysfunctional Wonderland and with scheduled appearances at the Heavy Music Awards 2022 on June 5th, Download Festival on June 8th, and TECH-FEST on July 1st, comes the band’s fiery latest single “Punishment Instructions”.

“”Punishment Instructions” expresses all facets, whether that be positive or negative, of hope, wish and desire. The message expresses the loss of hope due to the uncontrollable actions of others. Punishment Instructions are the side effects of when these immoral  actions are resisted.”

“Punishment Instructions” is a hard-hitting metal track that exemplifies everything fans love about the band. As the song’s thought-provoking lyrics examine the effects of trying to resist when others are trying to strip all hope away from you, the heavy rhythms, featuring aggressive guitars, coupled with the aggressive vocals, only add fuel to the rebellious firestorm that is Seething Akira. Seething Akira have developed a gloriously turbulent sound that is uniquely their own. Founded by vocalists Charlie Bowes and Kit Conrad, Seething Akira are a 6-piece electronic nu-core band hailing from the seafront city of Portsmouth, UK that have been tearing venues apart across Europe with their powerful fusion of genres since 2012.

The band’s first full-length album, Sleepy Skeletor, dropped in 2018 and made it clear that Seething Akira would be a force to be reckoned with in the years to come. In late 2020, the band launched a series of new singles leading up to their second album, the highly anticipated Dysfunctional Wonderland. With the strength of the band’s music and their popularity with fans rocketing skyward, they connected with electronic rock label FiXT and forged a partnership for their future releases. 

Seething Akira has been featured on the Rock Hard Spotify editorial list, while their single “Firepower” landed on Kerrang Radio and Scuzz. “I Am The Devil” and “The Islander” were both featured on BBC Introducing, and “The Islander” premiered on Soundsphere Magazine. 

At home and on the road, Seething Akira have also put their stamp on staple festivals such as Bloodstock, Victorious, Camden Rocks, and many more while touring with bands like The Qemists and The Algorithm. The band dropped the latest album Dysfunctional Wonderland in late 2021 and are now releasing new singles in mid 2022 in the build up to their new album.

PRETTY BOY FLOYD Release 7” with Peacemaker Version Of ‘Rock And Roll (Is Gonna Set The Night On Fire)’

One of the most endearing character traits of John Cena’s muscle-bound DC comic book superhero Peacemaker, from HBO’s wildly popular series of the same name, is his love of obscure ‘80s glam metal. From The Quireboys to Firehouse, Faster Pussycat to Pretty Boy Floyd, the series’ soundtrack is brimming with some of the best undiscovered gems of Hollywood’s hairspray-soaked melodic metal! 

Now, one of the tracks showcased in Episode 7 of Peacemaker is coming to a limited edition pressing of 7” vinyl! PRETTY BOY FLOYD’s magnificent hard rock anthem “Rock And Roll (Is Gonna Set The Night On Fire)” was originally released on the band’s 1989 classic album Leather Boyz With Electric Toyz, and later re-cut with a more current line-up of the band in 2004. More recently, producer and guitarist extraordinaire Mark Gemini Thwaite created a new mix of the track that amps up the bombast and energy to 11. The track is featured on the A-side of the 7” while a re-cut version of “Leather Boyz” comes as the B-side.

ROSETTA STONE Open Their Vault To Release A Collection Of Early Demos & Vintage Recordings

UK goth rock icons ROSETTA STONE are still recording and releasing new material an astounding 30+ years after their founding in the late ‘80s, making them one of the longest running acts of the much-heralded late-‘80s, early-‘90s second wave of gothic music. Recently, the band released an epic 8CD collection of their entire set of studio recordings plus rarities, entitled Anthology 1988-2012, but now the band has dug even deeper into their vault to reveal a treasure trove of fantastic early recordings that showcase the group’s furtive beginnings!

Demos And Rare Tracks 1987-1989 is a collection of vintage recordings, some which RS mainmen Porl King and Karl North made prior to the band’s official debut release, 1989’s Darkness And Light, including one that even features a female vocalist. Several of these tracks were recorded on the much-loved Tascam 4-track recording machine and capture the band’s remarkably precise creative process as well as their ambitious DIY spirit! Just check out the driving, catchy song “Relentless,” which has been released as a single to all digital platforms.

NERGARD Announce One-Off Concert in Kalvåa Amphitheatre

It’s been 4 years since they last stood on stage, but symphonic metal band NERGARD are now back, announcing a one-off concert which will take place in the beautiful Kalvåa Amphitheatre in Selbu on Sunday the 28th of August 2022.

This will be the first time performing live since announcing their new steady lineup of vocalists. The magnificent symphonic soundscape is now fronted by a unique trio consisting of the charismatic English singer Stefani Keogh, the Swedish multi-talented Andi Kravljaca and Norway’s answer to Rob Halford; Mathias Molund Indergård.

The concert will see composer Andreas Nergård move out from behind the drums to bass guitar, whilst Runar Grimstad (Strandhugg) takes over drumming duties and Magnus Johansen (Withem) completes the lineup on keyboards.

The concert will feature an array of songs from Nergard’s early albums; “A Bit Closer to Heaven” and “Memorial for a Wish” as well as several tracks from their 2021 release “Eternal White”.

As this is their only 2022 performance it is set to be a magical event taking place in the depths of a dark, Norwegian forest ,where two years of covid frustration will be blown to heaven in a two-hour-long spectacle complete with pyrotechnics.

Nergard creator Andreas says, “I am really excited to show off Nergard’s live performance capabilities. Whilst we have always stayed under the umbrella of being a “studio project”, with only a handful of live shows to date, many of these songs really deserve to shine on stage. We are hungrier than ever and can’t wait to bring to life the biggest live production we have ever undertaken!”

This amazing one-off show will be filmed for a later DVD release and will include performances of “On Through the Storm”, “From the Cradle to the Grave”, “Under Fire”, and will see the new era of Nergard come together to deliver a night to remember.

The Kalvåa Outdoor Arena is situated in Selbu, just south of Trondheim Airport.

Tickets are already on sale and are in limited numbers.
