HEXED have unveiled the first new single “Repentance” taken from the upcoming album PAGANS RISING. The album is set for release in the fall 2022 via ViciSolum Productions.

The brutal witch hunts instigated by the church brutally destroyed thousands of lives in flames infused with self rightousness. Join us in being a voice of the voiceless. Voices pleading for Repentance!

This track is a heavy sucker punch and gives you a musical experience into a storytelling world. Discover spellbinding guitar melodies, chugging riffs, male growl along with Tinas powerful vocals.

HEXED is a Swedish symphonic and progressive metal band fronted by the amazing lead vocalist Tina Gunnarsson. It contains thick driving rhythms, melodic orchestrations with dark layers, powerful female vocals and male growl. The band was formed late 2015 by vocalist Tina and guitarist Stellan Gunnarsson, they already had a history in the metal scene and were experienced songwriters.

Since both of them had the source of inspiration from bands such as Queensrÿche, Crimson Glory and Kamelot, their aim was to create music and to focus on strong vocals combined with melodic guitars and progressive elements. Drummer Teddy Möller and Bass player Daniel Håkansson were early chosen to take place and Hexed released the debut single “Dreams” in 2016.

In 2017 the first EP  ”Exhaling Life” came out, which ended up signing a worldwide deal with ViciSolum Productions.

The debut album “Netherworld” was released in 2018 and received great response from both press, media and fans.
It has resulted in tours and gigs at several clubs and festivals all around Europe and the band have shared stages with many bands such as Leprous, Omnium Gatherum and Harakiri for the Sky among others. Hexed have gained a strong reputation for being a fantastic live act and for always delivering a great live performance. After a couple of changes in the lineup Hexed recruited a second guitarist David Nyman and the drummer Patrick Wahlberg. During the years, the music has grown into a unique sound for Hexed.
“The world will soon be divided in two parts, those who already are Hexed and those who are about to be”.

After releasing the singles ‘Epitaph’ and ‘Blood Of The Titans’ , ‘Everlasting Horizons’ is the third single from MOONSHADE‘s sophomore album. The song is now available on all major streaming platforms.

This song was taken from Moonshade’s upcoming album ‘As We Set the Skies Ablaze’, out July 22nd. Album pre-orders are available via the band’s official store or Bandcamp page.

This album was produced, mixed and mastered by Afonso Aguiar (Titanforged Productions). Single and album artwork by Credo Quia Absurdum.

A guitar and bass playthrough for the song has also been released which recently premiered at Metal-Rules and can be found here. The video was recorded and edited by Joël Martins (Aephanemer, Analepsy, Omega Infinity).

Moonshade adds:

Let us tell you a brief history of Tomorrow.

Deeply inspired by Yuval Noah Harari’s ‘Homo Deus’, our new single speaks about Mankind’s possibly infinite possibilities for cultural, scientific and technological evolution, if we only manage to not find ourselves extinct in the process.

May we set the skies ablaze, and as the flames subside, gaze in awe at the vastness of the Universe’s Everlasting Horizons- with all its wonders and horrors.

PRIMAL FEAR’s Ralf Scheepers: “Helloween was looking for me as a singer, when Kai Hansen wanted to step back but I was too young”

Jimmy Kay from Canada’s The Metal Voice spoke to Primal Fear’s singer Ralf Scheepers. Scheepers talked about the re-release of the bands debut album, his days in Gamma Ray and stories about Helloween and the Halford tour.

Ralf Scheepers was asked if Helloween every approached him to sing with the band and he said, “I heard they were looking for me (when Kai Hansen wanted to step back as singerl ) but I was still in my band and as a young kid 16-17 years old starting with music. Being with my family starting with my daily job I was not mature enough to decide those things to move to Hamburg and start as a musician. They never really asked me, I just heard they were interested. Kai was the singer back then with the ‘Walls Of Jericho’ and they were looking for a singer because Kai was the guitarist and wanted to concentrate on one instrument. I heard they were interested in me but that came later( meaning he found out years later.”

PRIMAL FEAR will release a deluxe version of their highly-praised self-titled debut album from 1998 — remastered by Jacob Hansen at Hansen Studios, Denmark and including three bonus tracks as well as an extended booklet featuring liner notes and many photos from the band archives — on July 15th, 2022 via Atomic Fire.

»Primal Fear« (Deluxe Edition; Remastered) – Track Listing:

  1. Primal Fear
  2. Chainbreaker
  3. Silver & Gold
  4. Promised Land
  5. Formula One
  6. Dollars
  7. Nine Lives

  9. Speedking
  10. Battalions Of Hate
  11. Running In The Dust
  12. Thunderdome

  2. Chainbreaker (live)

The album that contains guest appearances by Kai Hansen (guitars; HELLOWEEN, GAMMY RAY etc.) and Frank Rössler (additional keyboards) was originally recorded at House Of Music Studios, produced by founding member Mat Sinner, supported by Tom Naumann and Ralf Scheepers, and engineered by Achim Köhler. The iconic artwork was designed by Stephan Lohrmann who also cooperated with PRIMAL FEAR for their latest studio album and other parts of their back catalogue.

The Nixons were founded in Oklahoma City, OK by singer/guitarist Zac Maloy, guitarist Jesse Davis, bassist Ricky Brooks and drummer John Humphrey in 1990. FOMA, released in 1995 on MCA Records, included the radio hits “Happy Song”, “Wire”, and “Sister” which was a top 5 alternative hit that also crossed over into the Hot 100 pop chart. The group capitalized on their success with big tours (about 300 shows a year for nearly a decade), including dates with KISS, Soul Asylum, Radiohead, and Toadies. They went on to release two more albums with MCA that yielded several rock radio hits including “Baton Rouge”. In 2019 the band released singles, “Favorite Lies” and “Crutch” as well as a video for the latter. The band wrapped up the year with a double bill tour with Sponge.

Zac Maloy is an acclaimed songwriter and producer in Nashville who has scored hit songs with numerous artists including the #1 songs “Temporary Home” by Carrie Underwood and recent chart topper “Atlas Falls” by Shinedown.

In 2003, after extensive auditions, John was selected to fill the drum seat for Seether. John has been touring and recording with Seether for more than sixteen years now. The band, averaging more than 120 shows a year, has amassed twenty Top Five singles, three platinum records, and numerous gold albums.

Jesse and Ricky continue producing, creating and making music extensively in multiple genres.
