Apocalypse is not necessarily a bad thing. The actual meaning of the word is ‘revelation’. But through the ages it was shown over and over again that ‘to reveal something’ is to ‘face something bad’. Of course, we could go on and on by asking ‘But what does bad actually mean?’ Let’s face it – doom or delight is in the eye of the beholder.

The apocalyptic concept behind the upcoming ERUPTION’s fourth studio album “Tellurian Rupture” is about bleak, dark, and heavy things. At least for civilizations, that is. Yet with a fall of an empire comes rebirth. Forged under the grey skies ridden with COVID-winds, when every prognosis seemed hopeless and induced despair, “Tellurian Rupture” was not an easy undertaking. Through perseverance, blood, sweat, and tears a behemoth of power-infused thrash metal was born.

“Tellurian Rupture” is Eruption’s most ambitious album to date. It’s epic, dark and technical, explosive at one time and brooding the next minute, yet it still maintains the foundation on which every Eruption’s album was built – catchy melodies, sharp riffing and memorable vocal hooks. The album is a gargantuan listening voyage, an emotional rollercoaster of anger, despair, fear, but also hope.

As the planet’s crust ruptures and ancient titans rise once more witness the destruction, embrace chaos, and welcome rebirth!

“Tellurian Rupture” will be released on digital, CD and LP (black/gold vinyl, limited to 300 units) via From The Vaults on August 19th, 2022. Pre-orders are available here.

Formed in late 2004, Eruption is a thrash metal band from Ljubljana, Slovenia. Throughout the years, the band has always kept fast, guitar-based and infectiously melodic metal as their mission statement, culminating in the releases of “Lifeless Paradise” in 2009, “Tenses Collide” in 2012, and “Cloaks of Oblivion” in 2017. All three full-lengths, accompanied by 2014’s “Live Transmissions” EP, saw the band explore classic machine gun thrash riffing accompanied by the soaring melodic vocals and sci-fi musings of vocalist Klemen Kalin.

The energetic blend of influences allowed the band to present its music in a dynamic, furious stage show that saw Eruption share the stage with names such as Warbringer, Nuclear Assault, D.R.I, Iced Earth, perform on the main stage of festivals such as MetalDays and Underwall as well as garner excellent live responses from around Europe.

Prosthetic Records Inks Deal to Be Main Sponsor for Glossop North End Football Club

Prosthetic Records is proud to team up with Glossop North End football club as their main shirt sponsor for the ‘22/23 and ‘23/24 season. The partnership will see the international heavy metal label supporting the football club who play in the Northern Premiere League West Division.

The partnership was recently cemented by a trip to the Glossop team’s home stadium by Prosthetic Records founder, E.J. Johantgen, European label manager, Becky Laverty, and members of UK-based black metal band, Dawn Ray’d.

Of the partnership, Johantgen commented:
“As a long-time fan of both heavy metal and English football, I am thrilled to combine these two passions by joining forces with the mighty Glossop North End. I can’t wait to catch the Hillmen in action in the coming season, and collaborate further with the good folk of Glossop.”

A global company with connections to Glossop sponsoring the town’s football club seems so fitting and its such a unique and niche opportunity going forward. Finnish Shamanic IA Release New Single ‘Higher Power From Below’

IA is a Finnish, Helsinki-based shamanic metal music concept designed to induce states of trance and bring the listener beyond the limits of ordinary awareness, into realms of full-blown psychedelia and spiritual insight. The IA experience consists of polyrhythmic patterns, groovy riffs and deep, psychedelic atmospheres combined with the heavy, powerful sound of straight-forward metal, all bathed in blacklights and wrapped in UV-active decorations.

IA releases today their new single and first music video Higher Power From Below. The song is an explosive and energetic spell of empowerment consisting of only 12 powerful words. By those words, strength is called from the roots of one’s being and the earth itself to pull one’s spirit from the darkness of ignorance and fear into greater awareness and freedom. The music video is produced by the Finnish Riivata Visuals, who have made videos for such artists as Fear Factory, Vola and Atlas. Alongside the rest of the band, Ukri Suvilehto from Abbath and Brymir’s Jarkko Niemi can be seen descending into a violent trance in the video. Ukri also co-produced and performed the drums for the single.

IA states: “For long we’ve wanted to compose a song with only few words in lyrics that would sound like a mantra. In our new single Higher Power From Below we were able to implement it very naturally. This is also our first music video and it was very inspiring to work with Finnish production company Riivata Visuals. “

IA’s debut album initIAtion released on 2020 was a concept album rooted in different shamanic and mystical traditions, personal experiences and stories. It conveys a tale of the birth of a shaman: from the realization of the inherent inner power to the healing of the self and ultimately to the death and rebirth of the shaman-to-be. On the other hand, it’s a story of a soul’s struggle in fulfilling its inescapable destiny to become a medium between the ordinary and the spirit world. With live shows in mind, the narrative is carefully weaved within progressive drama-driven arrangements and dynamic soundscapes ranging from tranquil meditative moods to ecstatic metal mayhem.

DEEP SPACE MASK Announces Album Details & Shares New Single ‘Slave’

Formed in early 2020 by ex-Fiinky Pie bassist and vocalist Raymz, French heavy and classic doom metal act DEEP SPACE MASK has shared some new details about its sophomore studio album! In Tenebris will be coming out on June 24, 2022 through Argonauta Records.

Heavily inspired by an iconic league of bands such as Black Sabbath, Pentagram, Paul Chain, Trouble and Candlemass, DEEP SPACE MASK combines a mixture of heavy doom and fast-paced stoner and heavy metal, with a heavy dose of hard and classic rock.

“I like the fact of going from a very slow and heavy part, to another faster one, sometimes within the same track,” says multi-instrumentalist Raymz. “Really looking forward to finally presenting you the new album which is, I think, superior to the first one. The production is better, the compositions are more elaborate and the vocals are more expressive.”

Finnish Death metallers HAUTAJAISYÖ are set to release their fourth studio album “Ei Hauta Kysy Lupaa” on August 5th 2022 via Inverse Records. The second single Harhaluulo’ is released today.
