Synth Wave Visionaries PRIEST – Feat. Former Members Of GHOST – Release New Single & Video ‘Techno Girl’, Announce Eurotour 2022 Dates

Following up on the triumphant single “A Signal In The Noise,” released at the end of 2021, metal band turned synth wave act PRIEST have just unleashed a brand new single that further cements their reputation as one of the most exciting electronic bands on the scene. “Techno Girl” trades the distorted guitars of PRIEST’s former gig, as the musical backbone of the Grammy award winning metal band GHOST, for icy synths and throbbing drums to craft a memorably melodic ode to female badassery.

Stream the single: https://orcd.co/priest_techno_girl

To promote the song, the band decided to embark on their biggest, most elaborate music video to date, collaborating with in-demand filmmaker and videographer Vicente Cordero of Industrialism Films who has created blockbuster videos by Cradle Of Filth, Skold, 3TEETH, Queensrÿche and others. Cordero pulls out all the stops for “Techno Girl,” saturating the screen with neon colors and retro graphics to bring the song’s central character to life, an ass-kicking, video game playing, motorcycle riding, gun toting renegade who has no problem holding her own in Cordero’s quasi-futuristic hyper-violent world. The video showcases the cinematic quality of PRIEST’s sound, which has already been tapped by major Hollywood producers for inclusion in the upcoming Mel Gibson movie “Hot Seat.”

As the band themselves declare, “This is a hi-octane bop with instant hooks that scores the futuristic mindscape of PRIEST. Vicente masterfully realizes that vision and we only wish we made the song longer so we could see more of it. Strap your belt on properly and enjoy ‘Techno Girl’!”

Also be sure to catch PRIEST performing live on their European tour, EUROTOUR 2022 with special guests SJÖBLOM & CRAVEN.

Richmond, Indiana based defenders of the heavy metal riff, WOLFTOOTH, released their colossal new Napalm Records debut, Blood & Iron, to great acclaim this past December. Now, fans can grab the rest of the band’s stellar discography on limited edition vinyl! Napalm Records is set to reissue the band’s two first albums, 2018’s Wolftooth and 2020’s Valhalla, releasing May 20, 2022. Pre-orders begin today!

Each one of WOLFTOOTH‘s full-length offerings feature proto-metal influenced heaviness with a deep dose of doom essence and addictive stoner riffage, exploring mystical and often treacherous themes of mythology, lore and legend with a focus on sorcery, battle and non-stop adventure.

WOLFTOOTH says about the reissues:
“WOLFTOOTH is extremely excited to be re-releasing our coveted debut self-titled album and our sophomore album Valhalla through Napalm Records. We can’t wait for all of our new and previous fans to have the chance to own both albums on vinyl. We hope that these two re-releases help catapult the band to the next level and cement our name in metal.”

The band’s massive mix of proto-metal, NWOBHM and stoner rock styles have made them a notable force in the underground scene, leading to their subsequent discovery and launch into the major metal market. Don’t miss the album The Sludgelord called “a riffing stoner metal delight” and Sea of Tranquility dubbed “a stunning heavy metal/rock album that is purely addictive”.

WOLFTOOTH turned heads in 2017 with the release of their debut EP, followed by their 2018 self-titled album, Wolftooth – scoring rave reviews and a “best albums of the year” chart nod via DoomCharts.com. Immediately hitting the road in support of the album, WOLFTOOTH harvested countless new fans, building a reputation as a hard-hitting live act by supporting metal icons like Iced Earth, Sanctuary, Black Label Society, The Atomic Bitchwax, EYEHATEGOD and The Obsessed. In 2019, the band returned to the studio to record their sophomore release, Valhalla. WOLFTOOTH expanded on their already potent sound with cleaner production, hooky choruses and colossal riffs, all while harking back to the golden age of heavy metal. The record hit the underground in mid-2020, debuting on DoomCharts.com at #1. In 2021, upon signing with premier rock and metal label Napalm Records, the band released Blood & Iron – a true nod to classic, feel-good American heavy metal with modernized flair that garnered acclaim from the likes of Revolver and Metal Hammer, with New Noise Magazine describing it as, “gleeful escapism”. If you enjoy your metal homegrown, larger-than-life and with a weighty dose of mystical storytelling, WOLFTOOTH’s Blood & Iron is your next favorite!

INNER DECAY Announce New Album “Enter the Void”, Reveal First Single

Chicago, Illinois based Death Metal purveyors INNER DECAY announce their second full-length album is completed and ready to be released! Titled Enter the Void, the band’s new material will be soon released in collaboration with Pest Records, and here’s what the band commented on it:

“It’s been a challenging couple of years. The pandemic hit the world hard and things came to a major slow down, we even had a member who recorded his parts at home while he had Covid, but we kept pushing and made it through as a band. With the hardship of the pandemic slowly moving behind us, we’re very proud to announce the result of our hard work which is our upcoming album “Enter the Void”.

Our sophomore album is heavier and with an improved sound compared to our debut “Souls of War”, but still with a solid dose of epic melodies and catchiness. We’re coming back with the new line-up and with it comes a fresh quality. Our foundation is still the same with Tom as the main songwriter and Silvestre giving a punishing performance with his one-of-a-kind brutal vocal style.

Though our new additions made a big difference for the band’s music; Alfred with his powerful bass lines and song writing prowess that added new dimensions for the band’s songs, Dave with his pulverizing drum beats that set the feeling and rhythm perfectly, and Aaron who worked side by side with Tom going back and forth between shredding and melodic guitar solos. We are excited to release this album, and can’t wait to share it with the world.”

The first single, Death Of The Sun, is now online here:

Inner Decay was formed in 2014 by guitarist Tomasz. Inner Decay’s style roots in Death Metal, combining elements of Melodic Death Metal, catchy upbeat Thrash riffs and
crushing Brutal Death Metal vocals. This band draws its inspiration from the founders of Death Metal such as Death, Sepultura, Jungle Rot, Vader, Dying Fetus, Deicide, Obituary, Carcass and Morbid Angel.

Despite a few line up changes, Inner Decay has kept the same style and feel from day one thanks to Tom’s killer writing style and Silvester’s brutal vocals. This band played number of shows across Midwest states of Michigan, Wisconsin, Illinois, Indiana Kentucky and remains very active in Chicago metal scene.

During then 2020-2021 pandemic, Inner Decay had written and recorded their follow up album that is titled “Enter the Void”. The album is complete and ready to be released.

On March 9, 2020 PEARL JAM was the first major artist to pull the plug and postpone their Spring 2020 tour dates due to Covid-19 concerns. A few weeks later, the band’s new album Gigaton was released to critical acclaim but empty venues. Nearly two years later, Pearl Jam can finally hit the road with their 2020 North American tour dates officially rescheduled for May and September 2022. The updated routing also includes four additional concert dates in Fresno, Sacramento, Las Vegas, and Camden.

Josh Klinghoffer’s solo project, Pluralone, will open for Pearl Jam on this tour. Klinghoffer will also join Pearl Jam as a touring member on these dates.

A special ticket pre-sale for all tour dates begins today for current eligible Pearl Jam Ten Club members (active as of Sunday, March 13).

There will be no general public sale. All public tickets will be available through Ticketmaster Verified Fan Registration. Verified Fan ticket registration is open now through Sunday, March 27 at 10 pm PT and the Verified Fan Onsale begins Tuesday, March 29 at 10 am local time. To register, please visit:  https://verifiedfan.ticketmaster.com/pearljam

As previously announced, Pearl Jam’s 2020 European Tour dates are rescheduled for June and July of 2022. See pearljam.com for full tour routing and any updates.

In continuing their ongoing commitment to acknowledge and address the band’s carbon footprint, Pearl Jam will be paying $200 per ton for carbon dioxide mitigation from the Gigaton tour, a ten-fold increase from prior years. This pricing allows the band to pursue a multi-layered strategy of offsets and investments that combined, will allow for a more comprehensive mitigation plan.

Stone Gossard explains, “We are proud of our prior efforts to mitigate our inevitable carbon footprint from touring over the past 20 years but the time to multiply that effort is clearly right now.  By committing to this aggressive pricing, we hope to equally amplify our efforts and gather partners who share our urgency to make the investments and innovations required to move our world to a more conscious, carbon balanced economy.”   Learn more about the band’s history with carbon mitigation.

The music video for the track, “The Fight For The Soul”, will also premiere on that day. “This Is The Show started as one thing, wound up another,” says Josh on the album. “In my mind, it was gonna be about something specific, kinda turned out that way, and kinda…actually most certainly turned out to be something completely different. Something far greater than I could’ve ever imagined. It was made with a lot of love and a lot of care over another unsure and uneasy year.”

Pluralone will be performing a livestream show on March 19 at 6pm PT/9pm ET which fans can register for here. Tickets can be bundled with a digital download of This Is The Show for an additional $5 charge. MARIANAS REST Release Official Music Video for ‘The Weight’

Hailing from the coastal town of Kotka, Finland, melodic death/doom metal unit MARIANAS REST have just released a deeply haunting yet marvelous new official music video for their captivating song “The Weight”. The head-swinging doom induced track is cut from the band’s latest full-length, Fata Morgana, released in March 2021 – a must-have for fans of bands like Insomnium and My Dying Bride.

Lose yourself in this overwhelmingly evocative nine-minute epos, characterized by addicting guitar tones, a hypnotizing soundscape and the soul-gripping growls of vocalist Jaakko Mäntymaa. With incredible northern woodland scenography and spine-chilling choreography, the visually sophisticated music video for “The Weight” impressively underlines the creative vision of MARIANAS REST once more.

MARIANAS REST on “The Weight”:
“‘The Weight’ is a journey through pressure. A desperate try to lift the world off your shoulders and search for something better. It’s ugliness with a tiny glimpse of something beautiful.”

Fata Morgana marks the final chapter of a trilogy that began when MARIANAS REST released their first full-length, 2016’s Horror Vacui, followed by the critically acclaimed full-length Ruins (2019). The series encompasses themes of isolation, eventual mental collapse and emergence from that woeful state, respectively – however, the band invites fans to experience the concept from their own perspectives.

This melodic melancholy is produced by Teemu Aalto (Insomnium, Omnium Gatherum) and MARIANAS REST, recorded and mixed by Teemu Aalto at Teemu Aalto Music Productions and mastered by Svante Forsbäck at Chartmakers, who received a Grammy nomination with Candlemass feat. Tony Iommi for Best Metal Performance.

MARIANAS REST on Fata Morgana:
“Fata Morgana is a voyage into isolation. A passage to a place where minds get distorted by the cold. The name Fata Morgana comes from a mirage caused by extreme cold.  On this record, we use it to tell that the narrator sees the world distorted. He can no longer see things that are beautiful and that is one of the reasons he makes bad judgments. Maybe he was always like that. Who knows.”

German blackened Deathcore combo MENTAL CRUELTY officially announce their signing with Century Media Records. After the band from Karlsruhe already made a name for themselves in the extreme metal scene with their last albums “Purgatorium”, “Inferis” and their recent record “A Hill To Die Upon”, MENTAL CRUELTY now decided to take the next step.

The band comments on their signing: “It’s an honour to join the Century Media family! I’ve been growing up to a lot of CM Bands such as Suicide Silence, Mayhem, Dark Funeral and many more! Now being in a position to realize we are part of that very same Record Label makes me incredibly thankful and proud! I love everyone from CM I’ve met so far and I’m so stoked to see what the future will bring for MC. We are stronger and heavier than ever before and ready to take the next big steps.”

Dennis Moll (A&R Century Media Records) comments: “We are beyond stoked to welcome one of the hottest bands in the Extreme Metal scene to our roster for a worldwide deal. The boys have made an incredible development over the last years and fit into Century Media Records more than perfectly from every point of view. With Jonas as Product Manager and our amazing team we are more than ready to push Mental Cruelty to the next level! Twisting the strangle grip – won’t give no mercy!”

At the same time MENTAL CRUELTY announces the re-release of their debut album “Purgatorium”, which will be released as a remixed and remastered version on April 15th via Century Media Records.
