ONLY SONS was formed in Krakow in 2018 by Daniel Kesler and Andrzej Nowak (who remained in the lineup until 2022). The group has operated since the beginning as a quintet of musicians involved in various projects across the broader metal scene, including: Redemptor, Moanaa, Ketha, Deivos, Outre, Ulcer, Taraban, and Post Profession.
On April 17, 2026, the band released their new album “Through the Night Again“. The record was self-released in both digital format and as a physical CD which could be purchased via Bandcamp.
On May 27, the band unveiled a music video for the track “Shallows” from the “Woodland Sessions“, serving as a companion piece to their recently released studio album “Through the Night Again“. The material was recorded in October 2025. The video was produced by Reedy Media Group, while the audio was handled by Lateral Studio, with final mixing and mastering done by Tomasz Zalewski.
There are countless young bands that are still searching for their own individual musical identity and a breakthrough image based on their own visionary concept. And then there’s BLOOD WHITE, a band that has already found all these factors. Although the five-piece band has only been together since 2022, their sound is incredibly mature, creative and unique. BLOOD WHITE have developed a refined, distinctive mix of modern metal, rock and hardcore which leaves a lasting impression. Added to that, the band’s incredible stage outfits, highlighted through their glaring red and white ‘corporate identity’, sets the quintet apart from the genre’s standard dull, black style which so many of their contemporaries seem to favour. But most importantly, their debut album, “From Hell”, presents music of a standard rarely found in newcomer acts.
The songs mix raw metal riffs and brutal grooves with catchy choruses which enables listeners who are less into the metal-genre immediate access to their exciting, hellraising music. Listen to tracks such as “All I Said Was A Lie”‚ “Bloodified”, “I Smell Blood” or “From Hell” and watch the videos of “Run Or Die” and “Guns & Fear” which all show BLOOD WHITE’s extensive range of stylistic potential and musical influences. At the same time, the album also provides a number of surprises.
Practically out of nowhere (or rather, out of darkest hell), singer Dr. Zero projects a deep sense of melancholy, grief and anger on “Before I Die”, deliberately leaving a number of questions unanswered. Dr. Zero: “The songsays something about me, and its metaphors express precisely what I want to share with our audience. It’s about love, about its dependence on your own emotions and on what constitutes the bleakness of grief. Thoughts of having nothing left but a refuge, albeit one that makes you slide even deeper into the abyss than you already have.”
“From Hell” and “Fear” strike a similar lyrical note and present demonic verbal exchanges on God and the world, preachers, monsters and demons, as well as the eternal horror of war and devastation leading, ultimately, to the destruction of one’s own soul. Dr. Zero added: “Most ofour songs are about the chasms of the human mind, its capacity for absolute evil, a contradiction to love and compassion. This contraction also resonates in the name “Blood White”, red being a symbol of blood, but also of love, and white stands for innocence and eternity evoking that glistening, bright light that people who have experienced ‘being clinically dead’ talk about.”
The appraisal above says it all! BLOOD WHITE hold everything in their own hands, it’s all there to be seen and heard: the music, the videos, the album sleeve, the photos – the entire band and its image!
BLOOD WHITE are fulfilling the promise of an even more spectacular (metal) future!

Blending theatrical intensity with razor-sharp modern rock, IN THIS MOMENT have spent the last decade building one of heavy music’s most unmistakable identities. Led by the magnetic presence of MARIA BRINK, the GRAMMY-nominated band have turned their fusion of spectacle, vulnerability, and massive melodic hooks into a global phenomenon, earning platinum-certified success and more than two billion career streams along the way. Now, the band begin their next chapter with the release of the explosive new single “Sleeping With The Enemy,” out now via Better Noise Music.
For more on the single, Brink offers, “With ‘Sleeping with the Enemy’ and our upcoming album, we’re confronting the darkness — whether it’s inside us or external. It’s about looking that darkness in the face and transforming it into empowerment. We feel so exhilarated and ready to show the world what we’ve conjured up.”
“Sleeping With the Enemy” and the previously released “Heretic” (feat. Kim Dracula), mark the first tastes of the band’s upcoming, as-yet-untitled ninth album and debut for Better Noise Music. More details will be announced in due course.
Elsewhere, Brink also features on the current Eva Under Fire single “Villainous,” which is climbing towards Top 10 at active rock radio.
Since coming to life in 2005, IN THIS MOMENT have presided over a diehard fan base under the watch of “mother” figure and aforementioned Brink — joined by co-founder and lead guitarist Chris Howorth, bassist Travis Johnson, guitarist Randy Weitzel, and drummer Kent Diimmel. They have steadily emerged as one of the most influential and impactful bands of the 21st century.
To date, In This Moment has amassed over 2 Billion streams globally. In addition to the Gold-selling album, BLOOD [2012], the quintet has also garnered seven Gold and two Platinum singles, followed by a trifecta of Top 25 entries on the Billboard 200 with BLACK WIDOW [2014], and RITUAL [2017].
Between selling out headline tours coast-to-coast, the group performed in arenas and have appeared at countless festivals from Lollapalooza to Sonic Temple. They assembled their seventh full-length, the aptly titled MOTHER [2020] with longtime trusted collaborator Kevin Churko [Ozzy Osbourne, Five Finger Death Punch]. MOTHER breathed the activating mantra of an unbreakable spell, commenced on first single “The In-Between,” which received a GRAMMY® nomination in 2020 for “Best Metal Performance.”
In 2022, the band released BLOOD 1983 [BMG], a reimagined EP commemorating the ten-year anniversary of BLOOD. Then in 2023, the longtime staples of heavy music released their eighth studio album GODMODE [BMG], a 10-song record featuring the powerful lead single “The Purge,” a stunning cover of Björk’s “Army Of Me,” the collaborative track “Damaged,” which featured Spencer Charnas of Ice Nine Kills, and “I Would Die For You,” which appeared on the soundtrack for John Wick: Chapter 4.
Now, IN THIS MOMENT are ready to scintillate their legion of fans with their next evolution and era. Ironically enough, the future is as bright as it is dark for the band and its fans…
Finnish gothic dark metal band Horizon of Aeons released their debut album, Timeless Forms of Desolation, on 29 May 2026 via Inverse Records.
Horizon of Aeon’s debut album “Timeless Forms of Desolation” is a diverse journey through varying landscapes of darkness and melancholy. This atmospheric ordeal offers majestic orchestral harmonies and alluring gloomy melodies that ascend from the solitude of Northern isolation. Album is layered with icy acoustic passages and infectiously enchanting choruses. Vocals range from clean delivery to screams loaded with emotion and bursts of deep growling. Songs stretch the boundaries of gothic and dark metal with flirtation to doom and black metal.
Lyrical themes include philosophical pondering about fundamental questions of existence, time and meaning. Overall message may seem a bit cynical, but there is still some hope left for this agonized mankind.
Timeless Forms of Desolation was recorded at the Fifth-Level Overdrive Studio between Jun – Dec, 2024. Recorded by Miska Lehtivuori and Kristian Kipinoinen. Mixed and mastered by Miska Lehtivuori. Produced by Miska Lehtivuori and Ville Pekkala. Co-Produced by Horizon of Aeons and Kristian Kipinoinen. Music by Horizon of Aeons. Lyrics by Lehtivuori and Pekkala. Arranged by Jokela, Lehtivuori, Pekkala and Venho
Album artwork by Miska Lehtivuori. Album graphics by Silent Arcane Filigati. Band photo by Kristian Kipinoinen. Clean vocals on “Haunting Presence” by Jaakko Lehtinen. Spoken words on “Kairos” by Kristian Kipinoinen, drawn from a traditional Finnish spell from the year 1846.
The lyrics deal with the concept of deep time. The vastness of the universe challenges human perspective. Our collective cosmic history shapes the eternal harmony of our souls. We are part of the ever-flowing stream of humanity’s consciousness. Musically, this song is more up-tempo and contains unique elements compared to other Horizon of Aeons songs. It is a perfect opening track as it gives the album a good kickstart with the blasting double bass on the drums. The outro is a piece of text spoken by our technician and co-producer Kristian Kipinoinen. This text is handled more closely in the song “1846 (The Ones Beneath)”.
Aedis Tenebrae:
This song embraces the brightness of darkness. Evil spirits of our subconscious mind are meant to be cherished. Persistent dark patterns open the gates to a higher level of divinity. Demonic guidance through ambivalent existence. Confrontation with the rigid morality of the masses. The music supports the lyrics perfectly by flowing between different sections and moods. In the main riff, the guitar lines circle around each other, yet never collide. The bass guitar and drums stand firmly in the background, allowing the guitars to summon melodies.
Ghosts Transcending:
The lyrics of “Ghosts Transcending” address the paradox of existence. The lifelong urge to contemplate, moving beyond surface-level living to find clarity. We desperately try to find the meaning of nothingness. We seek purpose beyond instinct. We are nameless ghosts in the eternal veil of stars. The song starts with a steady and beautiful double bass drum section, which is one of the founding concepts of this song, while the keyboards paint beautiful melodies. The chords used in this song also have a variety of interesting tone colors.
Devilish Mist of Deformed:
This is a song about rumination. The climax of fulfillment remains unattainable. The recreation of our memories shields us from anguish. Melancholy is rooted in the heart of man. The song structure of “Devilish Mist of Deformed” is progressive. Each section follows the other, with no going back. This one also has some parts that lean towards the more extreme side of metal music.
1846 (The Ones Beneath):
The lyrics in this song are inspired by an old Finnish spell passed down orally through generations, which we then transformed and translated to become the lyrics in this song. A shaman is invoking the ancient soldiers from the underground to ascend back to life. Thousands of men with horns, raise your swords once again and demolish with me. The spell in question can actually be read on the physical CD release and heard in the outro of “Kairos.” Musically, there’s a lot happening here. The straightforward verse is accompanied by a majestic chorus with complex tonal colors and progressive rhythms.
Until the Darkness Claims Us:
The title of the song is taken from the book written by Sarah J. Maas. The lyrics are loosely based on that story. The vow of absolute loyalty and brotherhood binds us to one another until our very last breath. The doomy atmosphere in the first part of the song is crushingly heavy, but only momentarily until the melodic relief comes. Later in the song, the heaviness returns, followed by beautiful melodies from keyboards and guitar, and the outro features three consecutive key modulations. This is something you don’t hear every day in metal music.
Spectral Echoes:
This song is a tribute to our former band, Mormânt de Snagov. The lyrics are a collection of song titles and quotes from the songs we’ve recorded over the years. We wanted to put this retrospective collection together as a reference to the journey that led to the day when we decided to leave Mormânt de Snagov behind and start a new musical chapter in the form of Horizon of Aeons. There is also a modification of the poignant quote by French poet Charles Baudelaire at the end of the song.
Haunting Presence:
The final song of the album deals with the curse of remembering. The concept is taken from the great Charles Baudelaire once again: “Remembering is only a new form of suffering.” Our presence is haunted by memories, shaping our feelings and unresolved emotions. As we enter the all-encompassing darkness, we seek solace in the garden of denial. The composition of “Haunting Presence” supports the sad lyrical theme with peaceful and calm verses and choruses that lead to a furious and raging outro. The clean vocals were performed by our dear friend Jaakko Lehtinen from the Finnish hard rock band Leaflet.

Masquerage is a Finnish melodic metal band founded in 1998, blending elements of AOR, heavy metal, and power metal into its distinctive sound. The band was formed by cousins Kimmo Perämäki (Spiritus Mortis, Celesty) and Marko Ylä-Häkkinen.
In its early days, the band operated under the name Unchained, and in 1999 the lineup was completed by keyboardist Mika Maunus. At their very first rehearsals as a trio, Marko introduced Mika to Kimmo with the words: “Here’s Mika, our new keyboard player. Can’t really play anything, but he learns fast.” Well, the credentials were clearly sufficient, and Mika was in. This core trio—Perämäki, Ylä-Häkkinen, and Maunus—laid the foundation for Masquerage’s early sound and released the band’s first two demos.
In 2000, the band changed its name to Masquerage, reflecting the roles and masks people wear in different situations—and what may lie beneath them. This theme has remained a strong element in the band’s lyrics ever since. That same year, bassist Mikael Kontolampi joined, and the band began moving more deliberately toward a professional direction.
The early 2000s were marked by active live performances and several demo releases.
In 2004, the lineup expanded with a second guitarist, Jukka Viitasaari, and with this formation Masquerage released its debut album Work-Holic-Fool (2005) in collaboration with Soultonics. Its follow-up, Moonlight Time (2008), was released independently.
In 2009, Viitasaari stepped aside, and the four-piece lineup released their third album Backstabber in cooperation with 57Records.
In 2014, longtime bassist Kontolampi departed, and Kimmo and Marko began collaborating with the U.S.-based Stormspell Records—a partnership that would shape Masquerage’s future releases.
Bassist Ossi Raiski joined the band in 2015, after which Masquerage reactivated and released the albums Breaking the Masks (2016) and Hangman’s Revelations (2018) through Stormspell Records.
The COVID-19 pandemic briefly slowed the band’s activity, but in 2024 Masquerage returned to working on new material. The new album entered production in 2025, resulting in the band’s sixth studio album, Atomic Spies, set for release on May 29, 2026, in collaboration with Stormspell Records and Inverse Records.
Masquerage continues its determined journey toward a firmly established position in the melodic heavy rock and metal scene—combining strong melodies, infectious hooks, and thematically rich lyrics.

Finnish melodic death/black metal band Se, Josta Ei Puhuta released their fourth album, Syvyyden portit on saatava auki, on 29 May 2026 via Inverse Records.
The band comments: ” ”The wisdom can only be found, if you throw yourself into rapids of madness”. “Syvyyden portit on saatava auki” (“The gates to the depths must be opened”) is simultaneously the most melodic, violent, lingering, fastest, warm-hearted, darkest, spiritual, illogical and consistent album that Se, josta ei puhuta has ever accomplished. The musical shade took a step into megalomania and couple of notches to a more darker vibe. The production values were chosen accordingly. The lyrics are tightly connected to the music, creating a chaotic, but soulful apocalyptic-spiritual creation. Blood, sweat, tears were shed, call bell’s were ringing and the unknown was guiding. Everything else issecondary when the gates to the depths must be opened…”

Se, josta ei puhuta is a metal band from Iisalmi. The band was founded in 2007.
That same year, the band recorded a four-track demo titled Se, josta ei puhuta and signed a recording contract with the Sound of Finland label in the spring of 2010. The album Ne, joista ei puhuta was released in May 2010.
In the spring of 2011, the band recorded their second studio album, Musta, kylmä, syvä ja samea (Black, cold, deep and murky), which was released by Spinefarm Records in November 2011.
In 2010 and 2011, Se, josta ei puhuta toured actively across Finnish venues. The band began preparations for a third album, which was, however, put on hold during the production phase in late 2012.
In 2022, as a result of the band’s rebirth, the third album Gehenna was completed and released through Inverse Records. The lineup, which had remained unchanged until then, saw its first change when Jimi Myöhänen was chosen as the drummer following the release of the new album.
The band finished recording their fourth album Syvyyden portit on saatava auki- in the fall of 2025, and the album is scheduled to be released during 2026.
Over the years, the rawness of the band’s early HC punk and death metal has evolved into a more complex, black metal-influenced death metal, while still proudly maintaining the edginess of their early days.
