Well known for his extreme drumming, blast beats, precision, and supersonic speeds, he earned his reputation through the years and was repeatedly valued for his achievements. Extensively touring the world with his bands. He played over 1000 shows. Born in 1980, he got his first kit at the age of 14. His story began with the band Vesania and was continued in bands such as Vader and MASACHIST. He’s also a session musician for multiple bands. L.A. COBRA Release New Single ‘She’s My Prison’

Recently signed to Crusader Records / Golden Robot Records, South African sleaze rockers L.A. COBRA havereleased their first single for the label, ‘She’s My Prison’, which is available now on all digital platforms.

Formed in November 2005, L.A. COBRA is the only sleaze/glam/hair metal band on the African continent. They are the “sleaze rocking hair metal stars” from Pretoria (home of multi-platinum rock superstars SEETHER), flying the 80’s glam rock flag from the handlebars of their Harley’s whilst making a name for themselves internationally and locally. 

‘She’s My Prison’, is an anthemic arena rock single that revolves around the restrictive nature of a failed relationship. The track features screaming guitars, thunderous drums and bass, and a sing-along chorus that fans will distinctly recognize as L.A. COBRA.

L.A. Cobra has been let loose to cause a rebellion amongst the youth with their revival of the 80’s glam era. Largely influenced by 80’s rock bands like Mötley Crüe, Guns & Roses, WASP and Skid Row, L.A. COBRA is all about girls, Harley’s, big hair and a good time. 

The band is: Don Cobra on vocals and guitar, Slade on lead guitar, Ewil on bass guitar and Callie ‘The Animal’ on drums, bringing back those memorable guitar solos and “balls to the wall” hard rock shows we’re all starved for. With a modern twist from their song-writing as we know them, these guys are the real deal, and live rock and roll!

UFOMAMMUT Premiere Recording Sessions Video, New Album “Fenice” Out in May

Italian alchemists UFOMAMMUT have released a new video, recording their impending ninth studio album, Fenice, nearing May release through Neurot Recordings and their own Supernatural Cat Records.

For more than two decades, UFOMAMMUT has combined the heaviness and majesty of dynamic riff worship with a nuanced understanding of psychedelic tradition and history in music, creating a cosmic, futuristic, and technicolor sound destined for absolute immersion. Fenice, “phoenix” in Italian, represents endless rebirth and the ability to start again after everything seems doomed. The album is the first recording with new drummer Levre joining Poia and Urlo, marking a new chapter in the band’s history and unveiling a more intimate, free sound for the group.

While the band is renowned for their psychedelic travels into the far reaches of the cosmos, Fenice is a much more introspective listening experience. The album was conceived as a single concept track, divided in six facets of this inward-facing focus. Sonic experimentations abound in the exploration of this central theme; synths and experimental vocal effects are featured more prominently than ever before as the band push themselves ever further into the uncharted territory of their very identity.

Each oscillation of this extraordinary album feels inevitable. The members of UFOMAMMUT are, after all, masters of their craft, and when it comes to creating enveloping sonic journeys into the unknown, it’s their uninhibited sense of exploration that breaches new sonic ground. Fenice is the sound of a band whose very essence has been rejuvenated and are welcoming the chance to create music in the way they know best; by unfolding carefully and attentively, by melding those extreme dynamics which render Fenice as a living and breathing creature, and by writing gargantuan riffs that herald their very rebirth.

GOV’T MULE Reissue “Dark Side of the Mule”, Out May 27th

Rock torchbearers GOV’T MULE will be re-releasing their incredible live set of Pink Floyd songs, ‘Dark Side of the Mule’ on glow in the dark 2LP vinyl on 27 May via Provogue / Mascot Label Group.

The album captures their 90-minute set of Pink Floyd covers recorded during the band’s 2008 Halloween show at the Orpheum Theatre in Boston, MA. During the performance they put their own stamp on Floyd’s expansive repertoire including “Breathe (In The Air)”, “Money”, “Time”, “Comfortably Numb,” “Fearless” and “Wish You Were Here”.

This was the second out of three special cover sets they did in their late-00s Halloween tradition. Previously, they had played a Led Zeppelin celebration in 2007 with a Rolling Stones spectacular that came in 2009 – the later also recently re-released via Provogue.

Dark Side of the Mule was originally released in December 2014 as part of the band celebrating their 20th anniversary and highlight the group’s versatility and epic, fearless live performances. No two Gov’t Mule shows are alike, as the band draws on the more than 300 songs in their repertoire to create a unique experience each and every time. Their steadily expanding fan base knows that the Mule always has something special waiting for them. Expect the unexpected.

The deep chemistry and steely confidence shared by the quartet allow them to tackle any form of music and stamp it their own while remaining true to the spirit and intent of the original. This can of course be heard any time guitarist-singer Warren Haynes, drummer Matt Abts, bassist Jorgen Carlsson and multi-instrumentalist Danny Louis take the stage, but a series of new live archival releases really drives the point home. 
 
Warren Haynes’ unparalleled ability to bring together different musicians into a cohesive whole or to pull off epic musical happenings is one of the many reasons why Haynes stands apart from the many great front men and guitarists who have graced the musical landscape. Combined with his guitar and vocal mastery, these skills have made him an in-demand presence and indispensable musical ally for many.
