NEVERLAND TRAIN delivers a real surprise with their debut album “Alive In Hell,” released now!
This tribute to Jim Steinman (Meat Loaf, Bonnie Tyler, and Fire Inc.) has been a hit not just with the music press.

The album features not only the “full version” of the lead single “Somewhere in this Universe,” but also the previously announced duet by Jeanette Scherff (Dawn Of Destiny) and Aeva Maurelle on the Steinman classic “Tonight Is What It Means To Be Young” from the film “Streets of Fire”  (later adapted for the musical “Dance of the Vampires”).

Album: neverlandtrain.epr.rocks
Digital: save-it.cc/epr/alive-in-hell oder directly via Spotify

Tracklist:

02 – Not Alone
03 – Still Alive

NEVERLAND TRAIN is Jens Faber’s tribute to Jim Steinman! The multi-talented artist from Bochum is not only the mastermind behind “Dawn Of Destiny.” With “Legions of the Night,” he paid tribute to Savatage in a similar way as he now honors the great songwriter and producer who once helped Meat Loaf, Bonnie Tyler, and Fire Inc. achieve worldwide fame. To this end, he has enlisted the strong support of Marco Pastorino (Temperance, Fallen Sanctuary) and former Dawn Of Destiny drummer Patrick Klose (Iron Saivor)! If you’re now in the mood for “Dance of the Vampires” or a movie night with “Streets on Fire,” Neverland Train is the right choice for you!

ELDER Unveil Title Track of Upcoming Studio Album “Through Zero”

Progressive psych rock heavyweights Elder have released a first single, the title track of their forthcoming studio album â€œThrough Zero”. The record is set for release on May 29 in Europe via Stickman Records, in North America through Blues Funeral Recordings and Bird’s Robe in Australia. Album pre-orders start today.

“In a diverse album, the title track of our new album sits on the middle of the spectrum and is a perfect first impression of what’s to come,” says guitarist and singer Nick DiSalvo. “Dreamy, heavy, raw, electronic, there’s a bit of everything that makes this album special to us. Through Zero is about impermanence, coming to terms with mortality and the long struggle to not only make peace but to find a sort of solidarity with the dead. The more time passes, the more this theme returns to me, and always in a new light – much as our music always returns in a slightly changed state reflecting who we are becoming.”

The song is now streaming on all digital services: https://indigo.lnk.to/AoXUo1sF

Two decades into their existence, Elder remain an anomaly in the heavy underground – a rare band with the ability to absorb and shed influences from a myriad of genres without falling into pastiche or losing their own identity. Through Zero stands as a strong reaffirmation of their commitment to pushing boundaries in the world of heavy rock and cements the group’s status as leaders of the pack in heavy psychedelic rock.

Over the past twenty years, Elder have mastered crushing riffs, melodic jaunts, progressive patterns, hypnotic grooves and ethereal atmosphere. On Through Zero, the band channel these years of experience into what may be their most immediate and engaging record to date, while allowing seeds from outside the sphere of rock music to take root and bloom within their progressive framework. Listeners will find familiar elements of new textures, sequences, and sounds alongside Elder’s iconic take on heavy rock. As always, every spin reveals new details.

Recorded at Big Snuff Studios in Berlin across several months between tours in 2025, Through Zero marks the first album the band not only produced themselves, but also co-mixed together with longtime collaborator Richard Behrens. Mastered by Carl Saff, the result is a record that feels more like a full extension of the band’s creative intentions than ever before.

“Through Zero” is a term borrowed from engineering and the world of music,” DiSalvo reveals. “It describes the property of a frequency being able to pass through the zero point and continue into the negative. While it isn’t a concept rooted in philosophy, it resonates with me on a conceptual level: the zero point is not an end, but a midpoint along a partially unseen path. Interpretation is open: the journey is the destination, beginnings and endings may be arbitrary, or perhaps reality is simply less linear than we tend to assume.

The songs on the album explore related themes that reflect my own observations and personal philosophy. Life and death, frustration and fear, helplessness and hope – all of these exist along the same “signal path.”

AVON Unleash Video for New Single ‘Super Furry Antidote’

Posted by tarjavirmakari on March 29, 2026
Posted in: News, Int. News. Tagged: AVON. Leave a comment

Desert rock veterans AVON are back, and they’re bringing a piece of history with them. The band has just dropped the video for their new single, “Super Furry Antidote”, ahead of their eagerly awaited third studio album, “Black On Sunshine”, which hits shelves on April 17 via Go Down Records.

“This song echoes James’ early days in California, when ‘Black On Sunshine’ was indeed a band, and this track was one of its standards. It was first recorded in the UK with Portishead’s Geoff Barrow on drums at his studio in 2003. Until now, the song never saw a release, however the track stands the test of time and has found a new home with Avon,” the band says.

AVON’s lineup reads like a desert rock dream team. On drums, Alfredo HernĂĄndez – renowned for his work with Kyuss, Queens of the Stone Age, and Yawning Man – provides his signature groove and desert-born power. Frontman James Childs brings decades of experience from British rock outfit Airbus, collaborations with Geoff Barrow and “Philthy Animal” Taylor, and even an Emmy-nominated theme for Disney’s “Kick Buttowski”. Anchoring the low end, bassist Charles Pasarell channels the deep Palm Springs desert vibe that shapes AVON’s unmistakable sound.

Following the success of “Mad Marco” (2016) and “Dave’s Dungeon” (2018), “Black On Sunshine” continues the band’s tradition of tight, dynamic songwriting that merges melodic depth with unrestrained energy. Rooted in the Californian desert yet fearlessly exploring new sonic terrain, the album blends psychedelic rock textures, driving grooves, and pure desert-born energy.

Tracklist:
01. Black On Sunshine
02. Awkwardness
03. Spacebar
04. Never In A Million Years
05. Bandits
06. Ninteen Bruises
07. Super Furry Antidote
08. Doorway
09. Strangest Love
10. Oblivion

April 24 UK – Kicker, Portishead
April 25 UK – Frog & Fiddle, Cheltenham
April 28 BE – tba, Brussels
April 29 DE – Friday, Heidenheim
April 30 CH – Horst Klub, Kreuzlingen

IRON SAVIOR Celebrate Release of New Album “Awesome Anthems Of The Galaxy” with Official Video for ‘Maniac’

Posted by tarjavirmakari on March 29, 2026
Posted in: Int. News, News. Tagged: IRON SAVIOR. Leave a comment

Hamburg-based power metal veterans IRON SAVIOR return today with their brand-new album â€œAwesome Anthems Of The Galaxy”, out now via PERCEPTION – A Division Of Reigning Phoenix Music. With this release, the band led by Piet Sielck transforms iconic ’80s hits into powerful, melodic metal anthems, blending nostalgia with the unmistakable IRON SAVIOR sound.

The album is receiving strong praise: Rock Magazine writes it’s “surprisingly packed with strong hit potential!”, while Break Out Magazine confirms: “Damn powerful anthems, brilliantly executed by IRON SAVIOR!”. Stormbringer adds: “‘Awesome Anthems Of The Galaxy’ is an album that proves one thing: nostalgia can sound pretty damn heavy when you run it through the IRON SAVIOR engine!”

To celebrate the release, the band have also premiered a brand-new music video for their thunderous cover version of the Michael Sembello classic â€œManiac”. The track perfectly showcases IRON SAVIOR’s ability to turn catchy pop structures into driving heavy metal, combining pulsating synth melodies with razor-sharp guitar riffs and a soaring, instantly memorable chorus. The result is an energetic reimagining that stays true to the spirit of the original while delivering a much heavier punch.

After reigniting their cosmic engines with â€œMachine World – Reforged” in 2025, IRON SAVIOR embark on their boldest mission yet. With â€œAwesome Anthems of the Galaxy”, IRON SAVIOR tap into the heart of ’80s pop culture, combining nostalgia, passion and the band’s trademark precision and fire, proving that the past can shine brighter than ever when reforged in metal.

“After the huge success of the 2002 Condition Red bonus track “Crazy” (Seal), which was actually used in a HBO TV show, we have been asked by fans and medias almost constantly to do a complete cover tracks album,” Sielck recently said, and adds: “So
two decades later here we are!” quotes frontman Piet Sielck. “AWESOME ANTHEMS continues the transformation from pop-to-metal in Iron Savior style as started with Seal’’s “Crazy” and Eurythmics “Sweet Dreams. We are absolutely proud of the outcome, which never looses the original vibe of the tracks but yet is 100% Iron Savior. Just listen yourself.. I guarantee a lot of smiles while doing so!”

From the electrifying rush of A-ha’s â€œTake On Me” and the thunderous drama of Phil Collins’ “Against All Odds” to the cinematic pulse of Jermaine Jackson & Pia Zadora’s â€œWhen The Rain Begins To Fall” and the adrenaline-fueled “Maniac”, IRON SAVIOR turn pop classics into heroic, melodic metal anthems. With â€œAwesome Anthems of the Galaxy”, IRON SAVIOR prove once more that great songs never age – they just get heavier!

Order the album now at: https://ironsavior.rpm.link/awesomeanthemsPR

Album Track Listing:

  1. Fame
  2. All I Need Is A Miracle

Norwegian Progressive Metal Pioneers RAM-ZET Release New Album “Sapien”, Out Now

Norwegian progressive metal pioneers RAM-ZET release their highly anticipated new album “Sapien” today, out worldwide via ViciSolum Productions on double vinyl, CD, and digital.

After thirteen years of silence since their last full-length release, RAM-ZET formally release their return, reigniting the distinctive fusion of progressive and avant-garde metal that has defined their sound. What began as a spark of renewed inspiration has grown into a full-scale comeback for one of Norway’s most forward-thinking and unconventional metal acts.

Henning Ramseth about “Sapien”: “There has been a long break without new music from us, since we released ‘Freaks in Wonderland’ in 2012. There has never been a doubt in my mind that there was going to be a new album by Ram-Zet, but it has been somehow hard to keep track of the development in the music industry, and I really needed to find the right motivation to start the process. But in 2020, I decided to collect all ideas, and start the real job, writing all material for a new Ram-Zet album, and during the process, we started to rehearse again, and felt the old spirit come back to us.

The writing did not stop until 9 new songs were done, and the recording could take place. Still, it took some years to complete the album, because all members had other projects going on, and we needed to re-write our schedule. Also, Miriam (sfinx) got pregnant during the process (yes, it is her ‘real baby’ on our cover) and we also had to plan some of the recording around that.

Also, we have spent a lot more time on the arrangements of the songs but still recorded everything with a much more live in studio approach, which makes this album, in my ears, more organic, than ever before.

It is some kind of a cliche to say that ‘the new album is our best’ but I swear that this album really feels like a big step further for the band. All fans of Ram-Zet will recognize both our sound, and my songwriting, and I could not be prouder than I am over this album“.

Tracklist:

  1. Zerocane
  2. Cranium
  3. Sleepers
  4. Bozzadevil
  5. Peace25?
  6. As Worlds Collide
  7. Psychosis
  8. In The Mirror
  9. Catching Flies
  10. Hangmans Jazz

With “Sapien”, RAM-ZET deliver their trademark fusion of intensity, complexity, and atmosphere, infused with renewed focus, energy, and vision. The band’s next chapter begins now.

“Sapien” is available for purchase at THIS LOCATION
