FOSCOR Share New Music Video for Song ‘Misofonia’

Catalan atmospheric metal band FOSCOR is now sharing a stunning new music video for the song “Misofonia” to celebrate the band’s 20 year anniversary! The track previously only appeared on bonus physical editions of the band’s 2017 opus, ‘Les Irreals Visions,’ and had not been released digitally. Watch the video at THIS LOCATION.

Tomorrow at midnight local time, both “Misofonia” and bonus track “Traces Mòrbides” will be released via digital streaming services for the first time ever. The band is also releasing commemorative merch, which can be found HERE.

The band comments:
“We wished but never expected to accomplish 20 years as a band, and even less to have no chance to celebrate it as we have always done with past important episodes, playing live and gathering as many friends around as possible.

“When the pandemic locked everything down, some of us also lived some of the hardest moments of our lives due to other circumstances, worsened by the isolation and emotional challenge that mankind has dealt with. Everything started taking shape when thinking on how getting closer to you all and share some of those so intimate struggles.

“The B-side ‘Misofonia’ (Misophonia), literally “hatred of sound,” developed a putative disorder of uncertain classification in which negative emotions, thoughts, and physical reactions are triggered by specific sounds. Working on a video for that song and translating its real meaning into a common dialogue of metaphors and factors we, as individuals, have and are continuously dealing with, was like a first act of offering and redemption with you and ourselves.

“The music video turns the sound disorder into a dialogue between our own refuges and the city itself, both full of challenging and disturbing threats as you probably have tested during these last two years.

“While we assure you that there will be more music and visual stimulation during the next months, in order to celebrate these two decades as a band, the release of ‘Misofonia’ and ‘Traces Mòrbides’ along a very special commemorative apparel design, make us feel joyful and grateful.

“Hope you enjoy and share the celebration!

“To all of us, and for many more years of tragic darkness…”

DARK FUNERAL Launch New Single + Video ‘Nightfall’

Swedish black metal masters DARK FUNERAL release the second single “Nightfall” from their highly anticipated seventh album “We Are The Apocalypse” , which will be released on March 18th, 2022.

While the first single “Let The Devil In” was an introvert journey, contemplating the darkness within, “Nightfall” is the diametral opposite. “Nightfall” is a display of blistering fury, invoking the seven witches, Lamashtu, to bring forth the eternal night. The duties for filming, directing and editing the video were once again taken over by Grupa13.

Lord Ahriman comments:

“With ‘Nightfall’, we continue to push the boundaries and go faster than anything we have ever done before. I wanted to create the feeling of levitating above the soundscape and into my own dark and twisted world. At this speed, it was also a challenge to find a good balance and dynamic where melodies and atmosphere did not disappear in a noise, but I think we really nailed it! Nightfall gives epic a whole new meaning. Enjoy!”

“Ugly… people are ugly because society only accepts you if you fit into the mold and they will always try to shape you if you don‘t fit the standard”, says GHØSTKID about the brand new track “Ugly” that is now available on all digital platforms.

The band comments:

“Nowadays it‘s hard to be different… and it‘s even harder to feel happy and free. People will always try to shape you in order to make them feel superior but nobody can tell you what is wrong and what is right when it comes down to your own individuality. This track is dealing with the struggle of being an outsider. You‘ll always be manipulated by others, you will never be accepted the way you are, so just don‘t give a f**k and never let them change you…”

The visualizer video that is going along with the release was created by GHØSTKID himself and is visible HERE.

Furthermore the band has announced the rescheduled UK dates! Check new dates below.

STATIC ABYSS to Release Debut Album “Labyrinth of Veins”, First Song ‘Jawbone Ritual’ Unveiled

STATIC ABYSS is the new mouthpiece for a rotten age consisting of the duo of Greg Wilkinson  (Guitars/bass) & Chris Reifert (drums/vocals), both members of legendary American masters of sickness Autopsy, with Greg (also of cult act Deathgrave) recently welcomed as their new bass player.

Static Abyss’ debut studio album, ‘Labyrinth of Veins’, presents an unnerving, multi-layered eerie concoction of dirty doom and death, Chris Reifert states the album themes are to “explore the echoes of insanity manifested through human existence.” The result; a sinister onslaught of, at times, slow and bludgeoning brutal metal whilst at others whipped into a storm of chaotic vile hysterics. The spirit of Autopsy is at times present in the truly titanic riffs swathed in chilling atmospheric guitar leads, whilst Chris’ seemingly bottomless pit of morbid inspiration from the dark & twisted corners of life permeate the release with his highly distinguishable delivery to further the descent into madness.

The band have released the first track – “Jawbone Ritual” accompanied by a lyric video created by Matt Vickerstaff – watch here.

‘Labyrinth of Veins’ was recorded at Earhammer Studios in Oakland, CA, & Great American Music Hall, with engineering, mixing and mastering overseen by Greg himself. With thecover art appears courtesy of All Things Rotten.

On 22nd April, Labyrinth Of Veins will be released on CD, black vinyl LP with printed sleeve including full lyrics and digitally.

Finnish hard rockers MARCO LUPONERO & THE LOUD ONES have released their new single and lyric video for ‘Home To You’.

”I don’t easily write love songs”, says Marco Luponero when asked about the lyrics for his new single, ”Home To You”, which drops on Valentine’s Day 2022. ”Most of them are about some societal problem, religion, war, whatever… But this time it just happened to feel natural, so I wrote a number that I dedicated to my wife.”

So how did Marco come up with the idea for the track? ”I got this simple, clean melody in my head and I couldn’t stop thinking about it. I knew I had to create something around it.” To achieve the right feel, Marco took inspiration from bands like D-A-D and The Cult. ”I’ve always loved it when bands apply western-style twang guitar to hard rock songs. With that in mind, I managed to find the unique sound that we use on the main riff.”

”Home To You” is the third single from Marco Luponero & The Loud Ones’ debut full-length album Life & Death, which will be released March 4th.
