Under the starry skies of Copenhell 2023, Danish/Faroese progressive metal outfit IOTUNN took the stage by storm with a performance already etched into the festival’s history. A sea of specially designed laser beams cut through the night, as the band delivered some of their most majestic and emotional compositions – a concert experience that elevated both the audience and the music to cosmic heights.

Now, IOTUNN releases this unforgettable moment as a live album. The album captures the intensity, the magic, and the unique atmosphere that can only arise when music meets the night sky and thousands of devoted souls gather before the stage.

With this release, IOTUNN invites fans and new listeners alike into the heart of a concert where time and space dissolved, and where the energy of metal was transformed into a radiant ritual under the open sky. This is more than a live album – it is a monument to a band in their true element: raw, majestic, and unforgettable.

Waves Over Copenhell was mixed by drummer Bjørn Wind Andersen, mastered by Jacob Hansen (Volbeat, Amaranthe, Epica, U.D.O.) at Hansen Studios in Ribe, Denmark.

“IOTUNN was for me the best kept secret in the Danish metal scene, so I am grateful that I got to work with these fine lads. Their no-compromise songs and meticulously crafted atmospheric parts really transported me to distant galaxies.” – Jacob Hansen (producer Volbeat, Evergrey, Asinhell)

“After all these years, IOTUNN is one of those rare bands that still gives me the chills. With the release of their fabulous album Access All Worlds in 2021, I was introduced to a musical adventure on familiar grounds but yet so refreshing, unique and powerful! With the new album, they evolve and solidify their musical grounds, and pull me even further into their vast and wondrous soundscapes. The distinct signature sound, brilliant songwriting, stunning vocals, and superb production makes this album a breathtaking journey for all those who seek adventurous and powerful music. Music bigger than life, music beyond this world. What a stellar album!” – Øystein G. Brun, Borknagar

“I am heavily into the Danish band IOTUNN these days. I have seen them labelled as melodic death metal, but in my head progressive extreme metal is more fitting. A particularly amazing aspect is the clean vocals (makes me think of another favorite of mine, Hamferd). And yes, they are fellow travellers on the Norse path!” – Ivar Bjornsson, Enslaved

“IOTUNN is a band I’ve known for almost ten years with whom I’ve developed a good friendship. They create great songs with good energy, catchy melodies, and solos. With Arcturus, I’ve played with them and I have good insight into how they work which is very professional and with lots of passion. They’re just a great band that delivers both on record and stage” – Knut M. Valle, Arcturus

P+A+G+E+S Announce Official Album Launch Show for “No More Can Be Done”

Following the widespread critical acclaim of their debut studio album No More Can Be Done, South African atmospheric noise, drone, doom, sludge punk and post-metal trio P+A+G+E+S will host their official album release show on Saturday, 7 February 2026, at the Masque Theatre in Muizenberg, Cape Town.

For this one-night event, P+A+G+E+S will be joined by two boundary-pushing acts: the gothic swamp existential blues of Emmaleen Tangleweed with Lliezel Ellick, and the haunting, cinematic dreamscapes of Constellatia.

“After months of planning and organizing, P+A+G+E+S are really excited to finally put on our album release show with the support of the amazing line up of Constellatia as well Emmaleen Tangleweed with Lliezel Ellick. This will be an evening of dark, emotive expression, with the sounds of swamp goth blues, haunting cinematic dream scapes, black metal and slow crushing doom.” — P+A+G+E+S

Released on 25 October 2025, No More Can Be Done marks the culmination of years of deliberate evolution for the trio—Caitlin Mkhasibe (drums), Frank Lunar (bass), and helo samo (guitar, vocals, sampling). Produced by Simon Ratcliffe at Sound & Motion Studios, the album is a towering, slow-burning meditation on grief, environmental collapse, systemic oppression, and perseverance in a decaying world.

Written between 2019 and 2024—with pandemic interruptions shaping its emotional gravity—the record distils overwhelming global anxieties into stark mantras, spectral vocals, and crushing, dissonant riff work. Tracked live in one room to preserve raw intensity, the album moves from chaotic noise metamorphosis to mechanical industrial weight and deliberate, monolithic doom. The artwork, created by helo samo, depicts the stages of a dandelion’s life cycle—signifying resilience amid ruin.

Across its five tracks, No More Can Be Done stands as a statement of resistance, urging listeners to confront environmental degradation and to stand firmly with BIPOC, women, LGBTQI+, and human and animal rights.

Swedish record label ViciSolum Productions proudly announces the signing of Norwegian prog–avantgarde metal veterans RAM-ZET. After more than a decade away from the spotlight, the band is officially back in action, reigniting their unique blend of progressive and avantgarde metal.

Following the release of their last album in 2012, Ram-Zet entered a long hiatus, with members pursuing different creative paths and only appearing sporadically on stage. But after 13 years, founder, guitarist, and songwriter Henning “Zet” Ramseth felt the time was right to breathe new life into the project. The band reunited, and what began as a spark of inspiration quickly became a full-scale resurrection. Over the past two years, Ram-Zet has worked intensively on new material and triumphantly returned to the live stage in the summer of 2024.

The line-up has seen some changes since their last release. Longtime keyboardist Karoline “Ka” Amb stepped away as activity ramped up, paving the way for Kai “Aazuu” Renton (known from Trollfest) to join on keys. Meanwhile, violinist Ingvild “Sareeta” Johannesen has returned after an extended break, adding her signature touch to the band’s sound once again.

Current Line-up
Henning Ramseth / Zet – Guitar, Vocals
Kent Frydenlund / Küth – Drums
Lars A. Lien / Lanius – Bass
Kai Renton / Aazuu – Keyboards
Ingvild Strønen Johannesen / Sareeta – Violin
Miriam Renvåg / Sfinx – Vocals

With their new album already recorded, Ram-Zet is preparing for a worldwide release in spring 2026. Fans can expect the band’s trademark fusion of intensity, complexity, and atmosphere, delivered with renewed energy and vision.

Stay tuned, Ram-Zet is back, and the next chapter begins now.

PREDATORY VOID Announce New EP “Atoned In Metamorphosis” + Release First Single ‘Contemplation In Time’

Belgian sludge/doom collective Predatory Void, featuring members of Amenra, Oathbreaker and Cobra The Impaler, return with Atoned in Metamorphosis, their second release and most focused artistic work to date. Set for release on 6th February 2026 via Pelagic Records, the four-track EP distills the band’s volatile creative energy into a tightly honed expression of intensity, restraint and emotional upheaval. Alongside the announcement, the band have unveiled their first single, ‘Contemplation In Time’, offering listeners an initial descent into the EP’s shadowed depths.

Stream here: https://orcd.co/predatoryvoid

Across Atoned in Metamorphosis, Predatory Void navigate extremes with precision and purpose. Reverb-drenched, lingering passages rupture into searing metallic surges; subterranean basslines underpin shifting guitar architectures; vocals move between condemnation, lament and raw catharsis; percussion oscillates from deliberate, architectural patience to explosive release. The result is an austere yet immersive sonic landscape, incandescent, razor edged and unflinchingly direct.

Conceptually, the EP confronts the darker terrain of the human psyche. Calling on sludge, doom, black metal and the unrelenting urgency of hardcore, the band channel these influences into concise, tightly constructed compositions that balance melody with abrasion.

The band comments, “Atoned in Metamorphosis represents the process of confronting the uncomfortable truths within ourselves, the obsessions, the grievances, the shadow sides so many hide or ignore. As we evolve and change in life, we’re inevitably faced with these darker, sometimes evil and obsessive parts, both in ourselves and in others. In recognising our flaws, we begin to find strength, not in perfection, but in self-awareness. For some, this can feel like a spiritual or emotional cleansing, a kind of healing that comes from seeing ourselves fully, and embracing what we once tried to deny.”

Working with producer and recording engineer Gilles Demolder (Wiegedood, Oathbreaker), the band pursued a raw, performance centric aesthetic,  preserving immediacy while amplifying contrast. Atoned in Metamorphosis stands as a vital evolution for Predatory Void, a work defined by architectural heft, emotional honesty and a deep commitment to tension as both a creative force and a narrative engine.

Atoned in Metamorphosis tracklist:

1. Make Me Whole
2. New Moon
3. Peeling Cycle
4. Contemplation In Time

Predatory Void emerged from the collision of sharply contrasting musical backgrounds. Guitarist Lennart Bossu (Amenra, Oathbreaker, Living Gate), long associated with atmospheric and introspective soundscapes, began writing harsher, more immediate material during the pandemic. To bring this vision to life, he assembled drummer Vincent Verstrepen (Carnation) and guitarist Thijs De Cloedt (Cobra The Impaler, ex-Aborted), both steeped in more direct and aggressive strains of metal, alongside vocalist Lina R (Cross Bringer) and, more recently, bassist/vocalist Kris Auman (ENDLINGR).

The result is a volatile and cohesive fusion of styles, shoegaze, doom, hardcore, black metal and death metal, anchored by emotional weight and sheer sonic force. It’s a sound as haunting as it is punishing, resonating with fans drawn to the current vanguard of alternative metal, from Ragana and Agriculture to Thou.

Predatory Void are:
Vocals – Lina R
Guitars – Lennart Bossu
Bass/vocals – Kris Auman
Guitars – Thijs Decloedt
Drums – Vincent Verstrepen
