TYGERS OF PAN TANG to Release New EP “A New Heartbeat” in February

Posted by tarjavirmakari on January 6, 2022
Posted in: Int. News, News. Tagged: Tygers Of Pan Tang. Leave a comment

What did TYGERS OF PAN TANG do when the world was locked down? Well, quite a lot as it happens. For a start a new guitarist, Francesco Marras, and a new bass player, Huw Holding were recruited. They were also proud to collect a music industry award from Hard Rock Hell as winners in the NWOBHM section. And … if that wasn’t enough, they have written and demoed their next album and produced a new four track E.P.

The E.P. features two rerecorded tracks from their first album “Wild Cat” plus two new tracks. “Fireclown” and “Killers” from “Wild Cat” now firmly bear Francesco’s musical stamp and new tracks “A New Heartbeat” and “Red Mist” demonstrate what might be expected from the next Tygers album – the Tygers signature sound of heavy as hell riffs, finger knotting solos and Jack Meille’s vocals extraordinaire. The mix was executed by Marco Angioni at Angioni Studios and, as with all recent Tygers releases, the mastering was completed by Harry Hess.

The release comes initially as a digipak CD on February 25th. For now, it will only be available in physical form from the Tygers website and directly from their record company Mighty Music/Target Group starting this Friday, January 7th, 2022. A vinyl version will follow.

Robb Weir commented ““Fireclown” and “Killers” are much neglected Tygers gems. They are rarely played live but often requested so we thought it would be interesting to hear a modern take on them. Visiting the past brings back so many memories for us and, I’m guessing, for Tygers followers”. Jack Meille added: “Lockdown may have prevented us from playing live but it couldn’t curtail the creative spirt that has resulted in the creation of “A New Heartbeat” and “Red Mist” for this single”.

“A New Heartbeat” Tracklist:

1. A New Heartbeat
2. Red Mist
3. Fireclown
4. Killers

Line-up:
Robb Weir: guitar
Francesco Marras: guitar
Jack Meille: vocals
Gav Grey: bass (on the EP)
Huw Holding: bass
Craig Ellis: drums

WIEGEDOOD Release New Song ‘Carousel’ from New Album

As the world circles the abyss at gathering speed, WIEGEDOOD have returned to provide a perfectly vicious soundtrack. A week prior to the release of their upcoming album the band is allowing for a glimpse behind the creation of the artwork of “There’s Always Blood At The End Of The Road” while listening to another new song entitled “Carousel”:

The band comments: “One riff descending round and round into the abyss like a sputtering carousel. Pulling and pushing downwards at the same time.”

“There’s Always Blood At The End Of The Road” is scheduled for a release on January 14th, 2022 and available in various formats. Order HERE.

The band about the album: “’There’s Always Blood At The End Of The Road’” focuses on the filthiest and most disgusting parts of human nature and society. It steers clear from the typical Black Metal themes and concepts, instead zoning in on the struggle we lead within, trying to overcome the fact we are all made from that same filth. Exploring places the previous trilogy didn’t even scratch the surface of, both lyrically and musically. A first-hand look into pure disgust, a psychotic ride with synths, tape-recorders, hot club jazz and distressing samples. A definite switch from our previous work, a dark turn into something unexpected and unwelcome.”

Their European tour with Portrayal Of Guilt has been pushed back to a later point in time.

KISSIN’ DYNAMITE Drop New Anthem + Video ‘Coming Home’

German chart toppers KISSIN’ DYNAMITE are thrilled to release their newest single “Coming Home”. This banger truly proves their origins in stadium rock without being pigeonholed! It’s accompanied by a jaw-dropping video in which the five-piece once again demonstrates their relentless energy.

“Coming Home” is the last taste of the band’s upcoming studio album, Not The End Of The Road, to be unleashed before it’s released on January 21 via Napalm Records. It will build upon the success story of their previous album (#7 on the GER album charts) with their very own bursting high-voltage sound – watch out!

KISSIN’ DYNAMITE on the new song:
“Coming Home” doesn’t mean to return to a specific location. It is more the probably coziest emotion of feeling alive, being yourself & having love in your heart, no matter where you are. It’s a priceless gift. “Tell everyone I’m coming home!”

Founded in 2007, German heavy metal formation KISSIN’ DYNAMITE have made more than just a name for themselves in the scene: With six studio albums and various chart entries (#7 on the GER album charts with their full-length Ecstasy in 2018), the band established their trademark style – characterized by modern sound, massive anthems and catchy hooks paired with an 80s stadium rock attitude and eccentric look. Now, the five piece is ready to release their Napalm Records debut, Not The End Of The Road, and usher in heavy metal in 2022!

The new studio album was produced, recorded and mixed by vocalist Hannes Braun (Südland Music) himself, who has also worked with bands like Santiano, The Kelly Family and Beyond The Black. Mastering was completed by Grammy Award winning producer Jacob Hansen at Hansen Studios, known for his work with bands like Volbeat and many more.

Ande Braun on the new album:
“Not The End Of The Road is an album that accurately describes our experiences as a band since Ecstasy in 2018. First and foremost, we highlight with songs like “Not The End Of The Road”, “What Goes Up”, “Yoko Ono” and “Only The Dead”: We’re up for it, we’re pulling together and we want to reach the rock Olympus! Titles like “Coming Home”, “Gone For Good” and “Scars”, on the other hand, deal with real feelings like loneliness, homesickness and sadness, which are also part of life.”

Hannes Braun adds:
“With Ecstasy, we already didn’t make any compromises and just wanted to compose music that speaks from us. Not The End Of The Road seamlessly picks up exactly here.”

Pre-order Your Copy of Not The End Of The Road NOW!

With Not The End Of The Road, KISSIN’ DYNAMITE set another milestone in their successful discography: In guitar-driven power metal fashion, the tune of the intro and title track “Not The End Of The Road” prepares the listener for a thrilling road trip and new anthems straight from the heart of the KISSIN’ DYNAMITE universe. Crusher “What Goes Up” takes its listener into the truly spectacular soundscapes that make stadiums shake and convinces with Aerosmith-like guitar attacks and an anthemic hook. But KISSIN’ DYNAMITE are also not afraid to show their mellower side, as heard on delightfully tranquil tracks like “Good Life” and “Gone For Good” – not only showcasing the almost calm touches pervading the melodies, but also presenting the softer side of Braun’s vocal repertoire. While tracks like “No One Dies A Virgin” and “Yoko Ono” symbolize catchy party hymns, standouts “Coming Home” and “Defeat It” underline their origins of stadium rock without being pigeonholed. “Voodoo Spell” manifests the variety of the band and their different influences – starting with strong dark rock elements, the song becomes an opus that easily competes with the biggest stadium giants. The album’s closer, “Scars”, proves once again that KISSIN’ DYNAMITE can reach the depths and showcase lyrical vulnerability – an impressive ending that screams to be played live.

Not The End Of The Road track listing:
1. Not the End of the Road
2. What Goes Up
3. Only the Dead
4. Good Life
5, Yoko Ono
6. Coming Home
7. All for a Halleluja
8. No One Dies a Virgin
9. Gone for Good
10. Defeat It
11. Voodoo Spell
12. Scars

LAZY QUEEN Release Vibrant New Visuals for Single ‘Bed/Head’

LAZY QUEEN entered the Norwegian music scene like a breath of fresh air by way of New York, and today, the four-piece led by Henrik García Søberg (they/them) share the video for their cacophonous single ‘Bed/Head‘, which premiered exclusively on CLASH magazine.

The vibrant, youthful new visuals arrive alongside news of the band’s hotly anticipated EP, “A Human Reaction”, set for release on March 18th 2022 via Icons Creating Evil Art. There will be more music from Lazy Queen this January – keep your eyes peeled.

Listen to the single on all major streaming platforms here

Powered by their unique amalgamation of guitar structures from Brooklyn’s DIY scene and bouncy slacker pop melodies, the new track (produced by long-time Lazy Queen collaborator Morten Øby at Taakenheimen Lydriket in Oslo) sees the band take a tongue-in-cheek look at the causality between coping mechanisms and isolation, while knowing life continues all the same.

Speaking on the track, Henrik explains “Bed/Head is what your room smells when you haven’t gotten out of bed for a week straight. It’s feeling like your friends have forgotten you exist, and you’ve given them every reason to. It’s forgetting the sound of your own voice. It’s isolation and looking for a way out. It’s also a noisy pop song.”

The latest offering is an explicitly refreshed direction for Lazy Queen, who inked a new longform recording and publishing deal with Swedish label Icons Creating Evil Art in the summer of 2021. Said Henrik of the new union “we already feel right at home with our neighbouring brothers in ICEA. And we’re hoping to make this union of Norway and Sweden a little less “war-like” than the one from some 100 odd years ago, but only slightly”

“Bed/Head” follows the release of “Get Home or Die Trying”. Released through Eget Selskap and Pick & Mix labels, the darkly beautiful EP served as a crucial catharsis for the band processing personal trauma, allowing them to reassess, grow and move forward. Carefully considered singles “Bid Geal”, “Gutted”, “Throwaway” and “A Place (To Bury Strangers)” received widespread support and critical acclaim from renowned outlets such as Wonderland Magazine, Under The Radar, NYLON, Red Bull Music, Earmilk, Indietronica, Impose Magazine,  Medium and more.

Along with extensive streaming and radio support they also played an incendiary set during the US festival #iVoted, where they as the only Norwegian booking shared the billing with artists such as Billie Eilish, Fantastic Negrito and Måneskin.

With an increasingly vibrant Norwegian Indie Rock scene on the rise, Lazy Queen – as founded by Colombian-Norwegian Henrik García Søberg (they/them) – have made their mark with a sound inspired by the rich traditions of the Brooklyn DIY scene that birthed the band, ambitious and effervescent releases, coupled with their unique ability to convey personal and relatable experiences through García Søberg’s lyrics.

The Oslo-based outfit effortlessly blends harmonic and discordant elements together with an instinctive ear for melody into a playful, innovative and vibrant sound, which affixes both context and contrast to lyrics that often explore life’s more maladjusted corners. It’s immediate. It’s urgent. It impatiently demands your attention.
Keep an eye out for even more new music from Lazy Queen soon.

Lazy Queen was born in Brooklyn, raised in Oslo, and will never die. Join the wreckage.
