Split Screen Management has a huge pleasure to announce the signing of the Germany’s cult Thrashers NECRONOMICON!
The band’s guitarist and vocalist Freddy stated: “NECRONOMICON and Split Screen Management go on a joint mission! The world won’t be and may Never be same. Now it’s time to think about the future of the band and to start a new chapter going forward. Before signing the contract we talked intensively about the strategic outlines of our cooperation and we believe that with Split Screen Management the time has come to push NECRONOMICON to New heights and possibilities with a “strong voice” and to increase our audience worldwide. It is also essential to have an extensive network of professional contacts in order to emerge stronger from this difficult phase. We are pleased and excited to have taken this step.”
NECRONOMICON released their latest effort, the 10th studio album “The Final Chapter” on March 26th, 2021 via El Puerto Records.
Thrash Cult “Red Alert” is the musical direction of “The Final Chapter”, according to Freddy.
And yes, they are still there; maybe better and harder than ever. “The Final Chapter” is in essence a NEW chapter for NECRONOMICON. It’s the first time that the band has international members so the sound is different because of Rik Charron on the drums and Glen Shannon on lead guitar, but, oddly enough…you still know it’s NECRONOMICON due to founding member Freddy and his distinctive song writing style and Mr. Marco Lohrenz on bass and backing vocals. The songs on “The Final Chapter” are intricate, hard hitting, full force speed and power all in one package. There are songs on this album that will please everyone from power metallers to full on thrashers.
As with all the previous years, the album bears the unmistakable and signature sound of Achim Köhler who was responsible for the mixing and mastering. This album is tearing the roof down with a blistering Sonic assault and energy that NECRONOMICON are known for….. and maybe the final chapter….? Beware of the beast……!!!

Norwegian Symphonic Metallers NERGARD have released a lyric video for their cover of Judas Priest’s epic song ‘Blood Red Skies’ which was released through Pug-Nose Records on November 19th 2021.
Bandleader Andreas Nergård explains why he chose to cover this particular song:
To me “Blood Red Skies” is THE standout track on Judas Priest’s 1988 album Ram It Down, and it’s a criminally underrated song. Priest themselves didn’t play this song live until 23 years after the release of the album. We wanted to shine a light on this amazing track and at the same time pay our tribute to the metal gods. I’m sure Judas Priest means as much to any fan of metal as they do to me. The music we play wouldn’t exist without them.
When I started working on this song I wanted to give it a different sound from our latest album “Eternal White” which was heavily dominated by symphonic orchestras and choirs. I wanted to put more focus on the keyboards and industrial elements giving the production a more open sound. I think the general atmosphere of the song is very epic on its own and didn’t need the “over the top”- approach that EW had.
“Blood Red Skies” is the follow up to the bands critically acclaimed album “Eternal White” which was released in May 2021 through Pride & Joy Music. The band is currently working on their next album.

All-star modern metal band IMONOLITH are back with new single ‘The Reign’, featuring guest vocals from Meshuggah legend Jens Kidman. A remixed version of the track from their critically acclaimed debut album State of Being, ‘The Reign’ will appear on the upcoming Progressions EP.
Jens Kidman‘s appearance is a huge endorsement for Imonolith, as he’s only been featured as a guest artist once before.
Drummer Ryan Van Poederooyen commented: “We decided to take one of our most popular songs, ‘The Reign’ from our debut album, State of Being, and do a remix of it as part of our upcoming Progressions EP, being released in March 2022. We saw the potential of how an industrial-type remix could sound and we felt this song deserved to be a standalone single. ‘The Reign’ features guest vocals by the mighty, Jens Kidman from Meshuggah. He absolutely killed it on his performance and that is yet another big reason why we felt this song deserved its own release as a revamped single.”
On the lyrics and production, Ryan continues: “The song is about how modern society tries to influence you and/or tells you how to live your life, when truly you should always do what you love and love what you do, not what others want. As for the production, Jason ‘JVP’ Van Poederooyen did a phenomenal job with the remix. It’s massive sounding and has a cool industrial twist to it. We’re all pumped on how this remix turned out!”
Imonolith are pleased to announce new members Oswin Wong (Threat Signal) on guitar and Conan Freeman (Punchdrunk) on bass. They replace Brian Waddell and Scott Whalen who have both decided to step down from touring.
The single follows the band’s stunning cover of Björk‘s ‘Army Of Me’, watch the lyric video here: https://youtu.be/Afe5NXbyM9A
Featuring drummer Ryan Van Poederooyen (Devin Townsend Project), Jon Howard (Threat Signal), guitarist Kai Huppunen (Methods of Mayhem, Noise Therapy), Imonolith are a collective of heavy-hitting players at the top of their game. Their 2020 debut album State of Being features special guest appearances from Jens Kidman (Meshuggah) and famed Swedish vocalist Johannes Eckerström and is made up of 10 hook-laden, riff-heavy tracks that centre around the theme of how people deal with various stages of life.
With extensive touring commencing April this year, you’ll be hearing a lot more from this ferocious new act very soon.
