ETERNITY’S END have released Hounds of Tindalos – the third single to be taken from the band’s upcoming third full-length, Embers Of War. Alongside the single release, the European technical power metal five-piece have also produced a music video for the track. The visual presentation showcases ETERNITY’S END performing within a futuristic setting, reflective of Embers Of Wars‘ sci-fi inspired themes.

Embers Of War is due for release on November 26 via Prosthetic Records.

Christian Muenzner (Guitars & Keyboards) comments on the single: “Hounds of Tindalos is one of the catchiest songs we have written so far and also our first official music video. It contains all of the core elements of the band’s sound in a compact format. This track combines the classic German and American schools of Heavy/Power Metal with some of the neoclassical elements found in our earlier work. There are several aggressive riffs, epic vocal melodies, shredding guitars and a huge anthemic chorus.

The lyrics are inspired by the story of the same name by Frank Belknap Long about a mad scientist who experiments with psylocybin to access other dimensions. In doing so he opens a door to a world that should never have been opened and is haunted by the entities he encounters there ever since. The scientist’s laboratory and interdimensional gate is reflected in the scenery of the video clip.”

Formed in 2014 by guitarist and songwriter Christian Muenzner (Obscura, Paradox, Alkaloid, ex-Necrophagist), ETERNITY’S END have been through a series of line up changes on their way to perfecting their sound as well as evolving into a band that would logistically be able to tour. To date the band has released two critically acclaimed studio albums, one of which was financed through crowdfunding.

With a refreshed line up onboard, the band set to work on what would become Embers Of War. The album features twin guitar solos reminiscent of Racer X and Cacophony, and bombastic choruses in the vein of Iron Savior and Blind Guardian. Combined with theatrics and story-telling chops that would make King Diamond proud, the results are nothing short of fantastical.

Embers Of War was written between November 2019 and October 2020 before being recorded between October 2020 and May 2021. The album was produced by Christian Muenzner and Hannes Grossmann and mixed and mastered by Hannes Grossmann at Mordor Sound studios. The choirs were provided by Piet Sielck and Jan Sören Eckert of German power metal veterans Iron Savior.

Embers of War’s eight songs bear all the hallmarks of a future classic of the genre and are bound to lead listeners into a world full of magical wonder, far from their daily realities.

Swedish MAD INVASION combine classic 70’s hard rock influences with a modern approach and soundscape. The vast experience of the band members as musicians, songwriters and performing artists − includes numerous album releases and tours over the years.

In September MAD INVASION release their long-awaited debut album entitled ’Edge Of The World’, an album that offers a wide range of heavy songs with bone crushing guitars, airy keyboards, and a dynamic rhythm section – adding the final touches to the very distinct MAD INVASION sound. The three first videos also feature special guest Mikkey Dee from Motörhead and Scorpions. Join the MAD INVASION journey and rediscover the golden age of rock – in a new suit of armour.

Watch the new video on YouTube, and stream the song and album on Spotify, Apple Music, Deezer and Amazon Music.

About the song and video

This heavy and dark song describes the constant battle between good and evil… where more often than not – evil wins. It’s about how lonely it can be when you feel overwhelmed with dispair and dark thoughts… when it seems like there’s no way out. In that darkness is also where the demons appear, haunting and taunting, in all shapes and forms… The band represent the champions for good in a world where evil is always close and lurking.

The video was partly filmed in Prague and the dark story is emphasized by the elements of this classic city, with all its dark history. This video is also special in that this is where the ’Fallen Angel’ is born… the angel in white who went from an innocent little girl to being turned by the dark side… This happens in the ending part of the video, after a massive song outro, building towards the final climax…

Variations of her final transformation, showing when good turns to evil – has become a signature trademark for the band, being used at the end of several videos as well in marketing material…

Singer Nathan Hunt shares, “’Under Your Skin’ slams with a four on the floor, high energy, heavy riff that has just enough spooky vibes to fit with a Halloween release. We aspire to have anyone hearing the song bangin’ their head by the second measure.” Guitarist Josh Hamler offers, “’Under Your Skin’ is a song that’s relentlessly coming for ya.  From the massive guitar riffs to the thunderous drums and melodic vocal hook, it leaves no doubt…This one Slams!”

MANIMAL Unleash Brand New Video ‘Chains Of Fury’

December 3, 2021 will see Gothenburg metal powerhouse MANIMAL release their forthcoming studio album, Armageddon, via AFM Records. Today they have shared a blistering lyric video for their new single “Chains Of Fury”, which perfectly emphazises the band’s trademark sound of pure steel!

MANIMAL‘s loyalty to traditional heavy metal influences is evident, though their latest and much acclaimed 2018- album Purgatorio was a prime example of modern and trend-setting power metal characterised by musical enthusiasm, exceptional talent and new ideas. As expected of a band that claims Judas Priest, King Diamond and Queensrÿche as major influences on their sound since Day 1, MANIMAL’s upcoming album is a high energy, in-your-face salute to the music that inspired them over the past 20 years.

The band’s evolution between the upcoming Armageddon and their first album, The Darkest Room – released in 2009 – is unquestionable. Their songwriting has become tighter, stronger and bolder, and they have improved by leaps and bounds as musicians. Armageddon showcases their wide range of a heavy as hell sound, and one that will most likely win over the true hearts of both the oldschool and every modern metal fan!

After previously- released singles “Forged In Metal”, “The Inevitable End”, the epic album title track and just recently, the thunderous album opener “Burn In Hell”, today MANIMAL have unleashed another killer track taken from Armageddon!

“I think this one stands out a bit from the rest of the songs on the album.” Vocalist Samuel Nyman comments. “It has this grinding, almost hypnotizing groove and it’s probably one of the heaviest tracks we’ve ever released. And the message it brings is clear – break loose from your chains of fury!

Once again we’ve been working with the much talented Andy Pilkington of Very Metal Art to visualize the song and I think he has really managed to capture the very core of the song this time as well.”

Watch MANIMAL‘s new lyric video for “Chains Of Fury” here:

The songwriting for Armageddon was once again headed up by Stenroos, considered by his bandmates to be the musical mastermind behind MANIMAL. And therein lies one of the secrets to their more-than-power-metal sound, as he is inspired by a various and colourful musical palette.

Calling MANIMAL “just” a power metal band, however, is way off the mark according to vocalist Samuel Nyman: “We are more than power metal. It was our label that put Manimal into the power metal category with our first album, and we understand that completely because they had to put us in a genre to guide people. Power metal for me are bands like Helloween, Gamma Ray and Stratovarius; they have more up-tempo songs, more vocal harmonies. Sure, Manimal does have power metal elements but we’re not pure power metal. There is more to us than that and I think the new album is perfect example of that.”

”I’m really proud we’ve managed to create yet another great album together.” Stenroos adds. “And it’s been a team effort. All four of us have put so much soul and effort into everything from song writing to recording, with the result of a really heavy and all through awesome sounding album without any fillers what so ever. The fans of our previous works will not be disappointed.”

Armageddon was produced by the band and was mixed by MANIMAL bassist Kenny Boufadene at his Studio Meltdown in Sweden. Now with a post-poned release date on December 3, 2021 via AFM Records, the album will be coming out as LP, CD and Digital formats. The album pre-sale is available at THIS LOCATION!

  6. Evil Soul
