German black metal experimentalists DER WEG EINER FREIHEIT will be releasing a brand new-full length, ‘Noktvrn,’ on November 19 via Season of Mist! The band is now unveiling the first song, “Morgen,” along with a music video, which was created by Guilherme Henriques. The clip can be found at THIS LOCATION.

The band comments: “‘Morgen’ is the track we chose for premiering the first sonic and visual piece of our new album, ‘Noktvrn.’ Being the first actual DER WEG EINER FREIHEIT music video ever, it perfectly supports the suppressing atmosphere the song transports, picturing the world in between reality and dreams, day and night, anxiety and hope, having control and losing grip. It’s a big pleasure and relief for us to finally reveal the first new song after more than four years since the release of ‘Finisterre’ and lets us smilingly look back on the whole creation process of ‘Noktvrn’ that soon is ready to see the light of day.”

‘Noktvrn‘ is available for pre-ordering in the Season of Mist shop on CD digipak, Deluxe CD + DVD box, Vinyl and Cassette HERE. Pre-save the album HERE.

‘Noktvrn’ coverart was created by Max Löffler.

Tracklist:
1. Finisterre II (01:52)
2. Monument (06:46)
3. Am Rande der Dunkelheit (08:18)
4. Immortal (06:50)
5. Morgen (07:00)
6. Gegen das Licht (11:13)
7. Haven (05:45)
Total: 0:47:44

ETERNAL SILENCE Share Edgar Allan Poe Inspired Music Video

Italian symphonic metallers ETERNAL SILENCE will be releasing their new album “Timegate Anathema” on October 8, 2021 via Rockhots Records. Recorded at The Groove Factory (Udine, Italy) and Line/Out Studio (Milano, Italy) with mixing and mastering by Michele Guaitoli (Visions of Atlantis, Temperance, Kaledon), the full length will feature ten tracks of symphonic and power prog metal plus will see the band introduce new elements and experimentation into their sound. The album goes from power metal songs like “The Way Of Time” and “My Soul Sad Until Death” to heavy and dark ones like “Rain and Red Death Masquerade“, passing through the catchy melodies of tracks like “Glide In The Air” and acoustic moments on “Lonely and Firefly“. The main theme that inspired the record is the concept of time.

“It has been a long time since our last full length was released, we took our time to make the best songs possible and then the pandemic broke in and forced us to stop and wait for the right time to publish it. But now everything is ready and we can’t wait to finally share this with you all.” adds the band.

Today, Eternal Silence unveils their music video for the third single and closing album track “Red Death Masquerade“. It’s a heavy and symphonic track featuring dual vocalists alternating verses to the story of the song.

The band explains “Red Death Masquerade” in further detail:

“This song is inspired by the horror tale “The Masque of the Red Death” by Edgar Allan Poe. The main character appears only at the end of this story, but we can feel her presence all the time: the Death overcomes the weak and the powerful, immune to time and space. This reminds us that we are born and we die equal to each other.“

Australian LORD Release Cover for IRON MAIDEN’s “Stratego”

One of Australia’s longest-running heavy metal bands, LORD, have released a cover for IRON MAIDEN’s “Stratego”.

Listen exclusively on Facebook and YouTube

The band issued:

It should come as absolutely no surprise to anyone that we’re massive Iron Maiden fans – a quick listen through our back catalogue will demonstrate that. We’re also, obviously, fond of doing cover songs (there’s 23 of them on our recent “Undercovers Vol.1” album).

One thing we tend to use cover songs for is for testing sounds or new recording techniques, and since we’re well into writing the next LORD release, we figured the perfect candidate for that was a cover of Maiden’s new banger, “Stratego.” This was a heap of fun to cover and put our own spin on, while still keeping faithful to the original. Join us in giving an appreciative nod to the masters!

Iron Maiden’s 17th studio album “Senjutsu” is available worldwide on September 3rd through Parlophone Records (BMG in the USA). Learn more at Maiden’s official website HERE.

LORD is essentially a continuation of DUNGEON, one of Australia’s longest-running heavy metal bands, with over a dozen releases so far. LORD’s 2021 release “Undercovers Vol.1” debuted at #7 on the Australian ARIA charts and #1 on the Australian Independent Records chart. This eclipsed the band’s 2019 full length album “Fallen Idols” that debuted at #20 and #2 respectfully.

Norway’s hottest upstarts BOKASSA will finally release their long-awaited new album, Molotov Rocktail, this Friday, September 3 via Napalm Records! Their eclectic and catchy mix of stoner, sludge, metal and catchy punk rock has earned them die-hard fans all over the world, as well as hundreds of thousands of streams across all platforms.

BOKASSA are fully charged up and ready to set everything ablaze on their upcoming new album, revealing the new single and video for “Hereticules” today – a final taste of what’s to come on Molotov Rocktail! “Hereticules” balances melodic choruses and punishing guitar riffs, BOKASSA’s crisp, dense production and a punishing breakdown that’ll leave listener’s necks sore for days!

BOKASSA adds:
“”Hereticules” is one of our favourite songs on the record. From the hardcore punk intro, the sludgy lead riff, the big bombastic horn and choir filled rock chorus to the punishing metal breakdown outro it’s quite a ride for the listener. Such a wacky genre fused song deserves a wacky video with choreographed dance moves. So that’s what it got!”

Watch the music video for “Hereticules” HERE:

Hailing from Trondheim, Norway, hard rock trio BOKASSA have recently made a name for themselves with their brand of hard-hitting, melodic, catchy punk and metal fused stoner riffs, right from the first full length Divide & Conquer (2017). During the Worldwired tour with METALLICA, the band released the critically acclaimed Crimson Riders (2019). On top of this, the Norwegians were nominated for the prestigious Spellemann-Award for Breakthrough of the Year in 2020. Now, BOKASSA are ready to enter the explosive next chapter with their exciting new album, Molotov Rocktail!

Pre-Order Molotov Rocktail NOW

Vocalist and guitarist Jørn Kaarstad’s unmistakably raspy voice and crushing guitar riffs hit satisfyingly hard with the snappy drumming and fat bass tone of drummer Olav Dowkes and bassist Bård Linga. Songs like “Hereticules” effortlessly pull off the transition between melodic choruses and punishing breakdowns, while the title track “Molotov Rocktail” is two minutes of pure stoner punk paradise with its dense songwriting and dynamic production. The album closer’s intro riff (“Immortal Space Pirate 3 Too Old For This Sith”), meanwhile, could be lifted straight off a classic BEHEMOTH album. On Molotov Rocktail, BOKASSA’s daring but cohesive tightrope act of singalongs and neck breaking grooves is highly contagious – mixed and mastered by Machine (CLUTCH, THE BRONX, EVERY TIME I DIE) the powerhouse from Trondheim misses no chance to entrance the listener with every second of runtime!

Molotov Rocktail Tracklisting:
1. Freelude
2. So Long Idiots!
3. Pitchforks R Us
4. Hereticules
5. Low (And Behold)
6. Godless
7. Molotov Rocktail
8. Burn It All (P.T.S.D.E.A.D)
9. Careless (In The Age Of Altruism)
10. Code Red
11. Immortal Space Pirate 3 Too Old For This Sith

DESERTED FEAR Launch Video for New Single And 7inch “Funeral Of The Earth”

Today, German death metal force DESERTED FEAR launch a video for their brand-new single, “Funeral Of The Earth”, their first release in two and a half years! Fans of the previous releases like “Drowned By Humanity”, which conquered the Top 20 of the official German album charts, may rightly expect the desired melodic death metal inferno we know from DESERTED FEAR.

“Funeral Of The Earth”, which was recorded, mixed and mastered by Fabian Hildebrandt at Eisensound, is now available on all digital outlets and a video created by Vollvincent / vollvincent.com can be watched HERE.

An exclusive, limited (500x copies) 7inch release of “Funeral Of The Earth” is now also available through the band’s official webstore, featuring a cover version of “Artifacts Of The Black Rain”, originally by In Flames, as B-Side. Get it HERE.

The band comments about “Funeral Of The Earth” as follows:

“After a far too long forced break, it was time to finally get off our asses again. A positive side effect is definitely that it was possible to gain complete distance for a while and rekindle the fire! The last months we were very productive and we are happy to finally release something new again. The digital single and 7inch release is our restart into the next chapter of DESERTED FEAR!”, says Fabian.

“When the idea came up to release a single, there were already several songs to choose from as a demo. Finally the choice fell on “Funeral Of The Earth”, because the title unfortunately could not be more current”, Manuel comments.

Further stated Simon, “In keeping with the artwork, the limited edition of 500 7inches supports a reforestation project in Mecklenburg and the records are made from recycled and shredded vinyl, making each 7inch unique in terms of color. That nowadays with the help of the pressing plant something like this can be realized, makes us very happy!”

And adding about the video clip, the band’s longtime collaborator and videographer Vollvincent said the following: “We head towards a dramatic future. No! We run. In “Funeral Of The Earth” DESERTED FEAR show the escape from the unstoppable.”

DESERTED FEAR live:

20.11.2021 Saalfeld (Germany) – Klubhaus
06.-09.07.2022 Ballenstedt (Germany) – Rock Harz
14.-16.07.2022 Leoben (Austria) – Area 53

More dates to be announced soon…
