Rock City Music Company, earMUSIC, WCSX and ALICE COOPER have teamed up to bring “Detroit Stories” to life with an exclusive in-store signing set for 4 PM September 23rd, 2021. Fans will have the chance to meet Detroit’s own Rock and Roll Hall of Famer and have their copy of “Detroit Stories” signed in person. This is the first time since 1999 that Alice Cooper has participated in an event of this kind in the metro-Detroit area.

“Detroit Stories” celebrates the rock icon’s hometown and his hard-rock roots.

Most of the album was recorded locally in Royal Oak at Rustbelt Studios, and features a wide array of noted Detroit musicians, including bassist Paul Randolph, guitarist Garret Bielaniec and legendary drummer Johnny (Bee) Badanjek (Mitch Ryder, Rockets). Shortly after its February 2021 release, “Detroit Stories” shot to the #1 spot on Billboard’s Top Album Charts, Cooper’s first album to do so.

“I’m excited to do an album signing in Detroit again,” said Alice, “especially for the ‘Detroit Stories” album, and for all the Detroit fans. Detroit still feels like home in so many ways.  And Rock City Music is the right place to do it.  We recorded nearly all of it in Royal Oak, and now we can celebrate it in Livonia, followed by the concert two days later up at Pine Knob – I know it’s DTE Energy now but it will always be Pine Knob to us.”

Alice Cooper’s fall tour lands at DTE Energy Music Theatre on September 25th (with special guest Ace Frehley), presented by Live Nation.

Rock City Music Company is a full-service music center featuring a wide selection of the coolest guitars, amps & drums, a killer selection of vinyl records, t-shirts, posters, accessories, novelty items and more. Private lesson rooms, an on-site repair shop, and a pinball corner round out this mecca of music located in the heart of the motor city.

Since opening in 2015, Rock City Music Company has welcomed some of rock music’s biggest stars to its stage including Geddy Lee of Rush, Steve Gorman of the Black Crowes and Glenn Hughes.

Tickets are available to purchase at www.rockcitymusicco.com via Eventbrite.

Finnish metallers REBELLIX are set to release their upcoming EP Serpent’s Kiss on October 15th 2021 via Inverse Records. The first single, named after the EP is released today along with music video.

Vocalist/Guitarist Samuel Honkavaara comments:
“Life can be hard every so often, and sometimes it gets really fucking tough. Serpent’s Kiss is a song about this theme, on how difficult life can be at times, and how you just wanna drown your pain into a vicious lifestyle.
The Serpent’s Kiss is all that viciousness; Sometimes we love it, but sometimes we can’t wait to get out of it.”

Rebellix is a Finnish melodic metal band from Helsinki, formed by Samuel Honkavaara in the end of 2016 from the ashes of other bands. Rebellix has been Rocking the underground of finnish Heavy Metal music since then, playing plenty of shows and participating to band competitions, sometimes winning some of them.

After many formation changes, Rebellix has been stable with Samuel Honkavaara as Lead guitarist and singer, Tomi Lappalainen as rhythm guitarist and Mikael Leinonen as drummer, joined then by Kimmo Keipinen on the bass.

Rebellix has released one Demo (Last Call), two singles (This is War, Fightmare) and two EP’s (Final Decay, Rotten Rolls). If you ask us what we are playing, well, we’d say it’s a genuine mix of modern and old school heavy metal, integrated with some cheesy elements from glam metal, and catchy choruses inspired to punk rock music.

THE QUIREBOYS have rescheduled four dates on their “A Bit Of What You Fancy” 30th Anniversary Tour to June 2022. The new dates include Oxford Bullingdon (June 10), Southend Chinnerys (June 11), Bristol Thekla (June 17), and Nottingham Rescue Rooms (June 18).  All tickets remain valid. Tickets are on sale via www.thegigcartel.com.

Hailed as Britain’s King of Slide Guitar, Hereford-based singer songwriter, Troy Redfern and his three-piece band will support The Quireboys at all shows. Troy will perform songs from his new album “The Fire Cosmic” which features the single “Ghosts” that was playlisted on Planet Rock. “Troy Redfern’s new album is a blast from start to finish,” says Music News.com.

To celebrate the 30th Anniversary of “A Bit Of What You Fancy”, the Quireboys recently released a re-recorded version of their iconic debut album with their distinctive gypsy rock and roll sound. The album is available on CD, digital and limited-edition vinyl. The CD includes bonus live tracks. The album is available from www.offyerrocka.com/product-category/artists/the-quireboys.

“A Bit of What You Fancy is where it all began for the Quireboys,” says the band’s frontman Spike. “It was an incredible album that launched our career. However, the way we sound and play now doesn’t do it justice. Henceforth, it has been a pleasure updating it to our modern-day gypsy rock and roll sound. I’m sure everyone will enjoy this new version in all its glory, marking its 30th Anniversary.”

Atlanta black metal outfit CLOAK have entered the Green House studio in their hometown to start recording their third full-length album! The record will follow up 2019’s critically acclaimed ‘The Burning Dawn.’ The album is slated for a 2022 release. Stay tuned for more!

CLOAK comments, “We’ve officially entered The Green House studio in Atlanta for album number 3. Joey Jones, who produced our first album, ‘To Venomous Depths,’ is back with us this time around. We’re extremely proud of the new material and in many ways it will be a completely new chapter for the band. People will be pleasantly surprised with the outcome of our current sound.”

Moreover, the band will be headlining a U.S. tour across the East Coast and Midwest this fall! The trek will kick off on October 28 in Lexington, KY and will conclude in the band’s hometown on November 14! The full run of dates can be found below and you can find more information HERE.

CLOAK will be supporting 2019’s ‘The Burning Dawn,’ which was named one of the Best Albums of the year by Metal Insider (#6), A&P Reacts (#8), Treble Zine (#11), and others.

The album can be streamed, downloaded, and ordered HERE.
