Carolinas based heavy rock band THE LA MAYBE–fronted by lead singer Alvi Robinson, made famous when he was nearly selected to front the legendary band AC/DC in 2016–have released the official lyric video for “When I’m Gone,” off of their debut album, Dirty Damn Tricks.
“In 2015 a close friend of the band committed suicide. While we can’t ever fully erase the pain of such an event, we wrote “When I’m Gone” as a form of therapy and to hopefully inspire others with a message of hope.
This video is our most ambitious effort yet. Filmed over two months, across 5 beautiful locations around the Southeastern United States…we shot through pouring rain, searing heat, and breathtaking scenery.
It was our goal to have the visuals capture and reflect the emotional nature of the song and its meaning. Most of all, it’s a tribute to our friend and we hope it can help others through their own dark moments.” – DALLAS DWIGHT

Lead vocalist Alvi Robinson (who was one of only four singers to audition to replace Brian Johnson in AC/DC in 2016) lays down gritty, passionate vocals while the rest of the band back him up with slithering riffs, huge catchy hooks, and ripping guitar solos.

Recently, atmospheric black metallers GHOST BATH announced their fourth full-length album,Self Loatherwill be released onOctober 29th via Nuclear Blast Records. On the album, the band closes out the trilogy – tragedy, ecstasy, and dread/hatred – and hosts their most devastating and dark music to date.
Today, the band releases the music video for“Convince Me To Bleed“. Watch the video that was edited and directed by Austin Scherzberg as well as written and co-directed by John Olivier here:
GHOST BATH’s fourth full-length sets the mood meter to desolation/antipathy—and never quite let’s go. Produced by the band with Xander Moser engineering at Tree Speak Recording Studio in Minneapolis and mixed by Jack Shirley (DEAFHEAVEN, BOSSE-DE-NAGE) at The Atomic Garden Recording Studios in Oakland, Self Loather is a sonic exercise in shadow, nuance, and, most of all, power. The band enlisted Zdzisław Beksiński to create the cover artwork which was licensed through the Muzeum Historyczne w Sanoku.
Below is the Self Loather tracklist:

JINJER are without doubt the hardest working band in the metal scene: Now, shortly before the release of their long-awaited and critically acclaimed studio record, Wallflowers – out this Friday via Napalm Records – everybody is talking about them. Since announcing the album, the band has graced numerous renowned international magazine covers, booked the biggest stories, sold out countless tour dates and their first two new singles, “Vortex” and “Mediator”, both cracked the multi-million stream mark in no time.
With their new track, ”Wallflower”, JINJER prove once again that they can’t be pigeonholed by offering a surprisingly tranquil delve into their multi-faceted sound. The title track not only underlines highly talented vocalist Tatiana Shmayluk’s clean and equally bold vocal power, but also supports her convincing, forceful growls and adds a persuasive character of wrath, overwhelming heaviness and pure abrasiveness. The accompanying high-quality music video displays the band’s cinematic and audiovisual strength and their ability for impressive metaphors and immediately causes goosebumps at the same time: Socio-critical and precise, JINJER have reached a new level – lyrically and musically.
JINJER on the new single/video: “As the director Basil Pereverzev told us “Never give up and act in due course with the forces of the reality you have chosen for yourself” … Wallflower is one of a kind. This is a song we have lived through time and time again. Every single note, every percussion hit, every word Tatiana sings is well-thought through and shines. And the story which rolls out in the video is the best compliment to this song. Definitely the most multilayered work we have delivered sonically and visually. We hope that our fans can also relate the video and take something meaningful from it as well.”
Already regarded as one of the most anticipated metal albums of the year, with Wallflowers, JINJER once again prove their exceptional knack for mixing groove, prog, alternative and experimental influences to create a sound unlike anything that has ever come before it.
Eugene on the new album: “Growing creatively has always been a major goal for us. The day JINJER stops reaching for new musical horizons will be our last day as a band. We could have churned out what our peers expected us to do, or produce ‘Pisces’ clones without end, but we’ve never done that and we never will. Instead, we wrote an album whose level of emotions range from the fiercest aggression we’ve ever had, to the most intricate melodies and melancholic vibes you could ever get from our music. We decided to rip apart all possible stylistic boundaries without regard to financial success or competing with our previous albums. Wallflowers is a different kind of album musically and visually. It’s about our identity as a band, as individuals and a clear statement that we are different from most artists… and that it is OK to do your own thing.”
Wallflowersnot only presents a methodical and premeditated next step in the band’s already imposing career, but moreover, it mirrors the personal adversities they’ve faced due to the worldwide events of the last year. Wallflowersis not only an upgrade to the progressive groove metal sound that all JINJER fans crave, but also a sonic pressure cooker of technical musicianship, emotional fury and an intense soundtrack befitting the harrowing state of the world today. Hailing from the conflict-ridden Ukrainian region of Donetsk but now calling Kiev their home base, JINJER truly do not mince words – or riffs – on Wallflowers. Their exceptional precision of modern metal paired with tough as nails attitude has earned them a fiercely loyal, rabid fanbase and massive critical acclaim, making JINJER one of the most talked about bands today and garnering them many sold out performances across the globe. With nearly all of JINJER’s releases composed between vans, backstage rooms and constant touring, Wallflowerscontinues where its predecessor Macro left off, only this time with less distraction and more time to focus on songwriting.
Tracklisting: 1 Call Me a Symbol 2 Colossus 3 Vortex 4 Disclosure! 5 Copycat 6 Pearls and Swine 7 Sleep of the Righteous 8 Wallflower 9 Dead Hands Feel No Pain 10 As I Boil Ice 11 Mediator

Blues rock star JOE BONAMASSA has announced highly anticipated new studio album ‘Time Clocks’, set to be released on October 29th via Provogue/Mascot Label Group in the UK and Europe, and by J&R Adventures throughout North America.Bonamassa soars beyond expectations with prolific new record as one of the music industy’s most revered storytellers sharing his life on the road.
New single ‘The Heart that never waits’; an instant blues rock classic packed ear to ear with genius guitar playing and poetic lyrics of heartbreak warfare.
‘Time Clocks’ is a testament to his credentials and a toast to his longtime fans. His new sound has a raw and vital flavor, combined with a resolute skill that can only be gained through years of perseverance and unyielding dedication. It’s Joe Bonamassa at his finest, ready to rock. “What started out with the intentions of being a trio record turned into probably my most adventurous and involved record to date,” explains Bonamassa. His longtime producer Kevin Shirley adds, “I think Joe Bonamassa has made an album that is truly transitional. From a blues musician to a superstar artist, [and] I’m so thrilled to be along for the ride.” Joe and Kevin brought on the legendary Bob Clearmountain to mix the epic tracks, and Bob declares that “This is one of the best albums I’ve mixed in years. Joe is not only one of the finest blues & rock guitarists of our time, he’s also a brilliant songwriter, [which is] impressively apparent on this record.”
Recorded in New York City, the album rediscovers Bonamassa at a newfound peak with heartfelt songwriting and an unparalleled Blues Rock prowess. ‘Time Clocks’ follows Joe’s constant evolution as he continues to forge ahead, bending genres, breaking down walls and defying the odds of the music industry. He’s known as “the man in the suit”, loved by many as the ultimate guitar hero, cited by critics as “the world’s biggest blues guitarist” (Guitar World), and now the music mastermind has found yet another layer of immense new artistry to share with his fans. As one of today’s most in-demand touring acts the road has been long and winding, but the rough journey has molded his craft into gold.
For the album, Bonamassa hit the studio with longtime collaborators Kevin Shirley as producer and manager/business partner Roy Weisman as executive producer. The album was recorded in New York City at Germano Studios/The Hit Factory and mixed by Bob Clearmountain (Bruce Springsteen, The Rolling Stones, Toto, Bon Jovi). The band members include Steve Mackey (bass), Lachy Doley (piano), Bunna Lawrie (didgeridoo), Bobby Summerfield (percussion), and Late Night with David Letterman‘s Anton Fig (drums and percussion), along with Mahalia Barnes, Juanita Tippins, and Prinnie Stevens on backing vocals. The fantastic artwork on the album was created by famous graphic artist Hugh Syme (Rush, Aerosmith, Whitesnake).
Recently Bonamassa dropped hints of the new album with his reeling anthem “Notches”, and with today’s exciting news he’s revealed the next Blues-heavy single “The Heart That Never Waits,” another instant classic that takes a tale of heartbreak and turns it around into an undeniable showstopper meant for the stadiums. Joe sings compassionately with an air of independence, in a voice that’s only gotten better with time – a rarity for an artist with such longevity in their career. These songs are a collection of stories that shed new light on Joe’s life as a journeyman, constantly creating and always on the run. Looking back on recording during COVID-19 and the original intention behind the album, Bonamassa reflects, “Twenty years ago, I recorded a record of covers that eventually was called ‘Blues Deluxe.’ It was recorded at Bobby Nathan’s studio in Manhattan. It captured an energy and purpose that always stuck with me as an artist. I lived in New York City at the time and times were pretty tough. My weekly routine was a combination of hustling sessions, gigs, and opportunities that seemed few and far between. I was hungry. Literally and figuratively. The music business is tough, very tough. Especially back in those days when major labels pulled all the strings and, in my case, all the punches. I subsisted on a basic diet of peanut butter and jelly and ramen noodles, purchased at the bodega on the corner of 83rd and Columbus Avenue.
Cut to 2019 and I find myself back in New York and inspired by the city again. My living conditions had changed dramatically in the subsequent 20 years, but the energy that makes New York City great still remained.
In February 2021, we found ourselves at Germano Studios, cutting music as a trio (but not trio music) and having to invent ways of making records when your lifelong producer is stuck in Australia due to travel restrictions. Kevin Shirley came up with a way of linking continents and consoles to where we had literally zero latency. Add Steve Mackey and Anton Fig to the mix, a few masks and curse words and we have the ‘New York Record’ aka ‘Time Clocks’.”
Now, with an even bolder energy than ever before, Bonamassa holds the power of controlling both his artistry and his business in both hands. With 24 #1 albums, yearly sold-out tours worldwide and custom annual cruises, he’s a hard act to beat. Joe knows his worth, and albeit humble, he plans to continue to beat the odds and exceed the expectations of naysayers. ‘Time Clocks’ will also be Bonamassa’s first album mixed to utilize spatial audio with Dolby Atmos and available for fans on Apple Music. Bob Clearmountain adds, “the Atmos version is simply breathtaking.”
In releasing new music that’s destined for the loudspeakers, Joe is elated to get back to the stage. Recently completing a short summer tour in the US, he’ll be back on tour for the fall season with shows across the country before taking the stage at sea for his sold out Keeping The Blues Alive At Sea VII cruise, sailing from Miami, FL to Ocho Rios, Jamaica on February 21-25, 2022, by way of the Norwegian Pearl. On October 22nd, Armored Saint will release a new CD/DVD, Symbol of Salvation Live, via Metal Blade Records, to celebrate the seminal album’s 30th anniversary. For a first preview of Symbol of Salvation Live, a live video for the title track can be viewed now at: metalblade.com/armoredsaint – where the CD/DVD is available for pre-order in various formats.
There are many ways to celebrate the anniversary of an important release in a band’s career, and for Symbol Of Salvation‘s thirtieth birthday – an album vocalist John Bush refers to as Armored Saint‘s “cornerstone record” – comes Symbol Of Salvation Live. A combination live album and video of the band playing the album in its entirety at New York’s famed Gramercy Theatre during their 2018 tour, it captures the power, diversity and peerless songwriting contained within it. “I felt like showing ‘Symbol‘ in another light was a great homage to the record itself,” states bassist Joey Vera. “Also, having all the fans be there and part of that event is a way for us to say ‘Thank you!’ For, without them, we can’t do any of this in the first place.”
There is no denying that Symbol Of Salvation stands out of the band’s catalogue as something truly special, something that the band recognize as readily as their rabid fanbase. “It links our past to our future,” says Bush. “I believe it was the time that we honestly thought we could do whatever we wanted to musically and it would somehow work. There’s a magical feeling about it and it continues to gain mystique every year.” However, the band went through some adverse times while initially writing the songs that would make up the record, being without a label for three years prior to signing with Metal Blade, and in 1990 – before they headed into the studio – losing founding guitarist Dave Prichard to leukemia. This ultimately served to light a fire under the band, pushing them to deliver their very best. “Because we had lifted ourselves out of these ashes, as it were, we felt a very strong desire to make every little thing count,” elaborates Vera. “It felt more important than anything we had ever done before. For one thing, we didn’t want Dave’s writing contributions to be in vain. Also, we were on a mission to let the world hear what we’d been working on for three years. Funny thing is, that during the separation of the metal genre between glam and thrash from ’85 to ’89, we kinda felt like we had to prove something to everyone else. But while making ‘Symbol’, we also had something to prove, except this time, we had to prove it to ourselves.”
The decision to play the album in its entirety on dates in the US and Europe in 2018 was in fact quite pragmatic, the band between records and wanting to play more shows, and with the anniversary of Symbol Of Salvation on the horizon, Vera believed it would be a “fun challenge” to play it in a live setting. “We thought since the fans seem to agree that this record is a favorite, it would be well received. And as usual, it takes time and planning for a release down the road, so we jumped on that idea and did a bunch of dates before we began writing for our next record,” says Vera. “It was really great seeing the reaction from the crowds when we’d play the really deep cuts. Not only the songs we very rarely played, but also the couple of songs that we had never played before. Some of these tunes took on a whole new life and it was very motivating for me, to see these songs in a different light. I would say that experience was an inspiration when I began writing for ‘Punching the Sky’ (2020).” The show itself was captured by a six-camera crew, Bush saying the band were “pumped up”, knowing that they were filming, and as always the quintet delivered their very best from the moment they stepped on stage. They also have fond memories of the show, which remains their biggest headline show in New York to date. “The vibe in the room was so great,” says Vera. “The fans made us feel so welcome, like we had come home for a celebration of sorts, and we all celebrated ‘Symbol of Salvation’. It gave me chills hearing people sing along to songs like ‘Burning Question’, a song we never had played live before.”
As an extra bonus, the vinyl and digital versions of the record contain five demo tracks from the Symbol Of Salvation writing sessions with Dave Prichard, which have never been released on that format. “They’re songs that didn’t make the record, however, there still is a vibe to those tunes, plus Dave’s playing is on them, so that makes them special,” says Bush. These tracks make for welcome additions, helping to further celebrate the record, and the band are just happy and respectful of the fact they have reached this anniversary. “If you would have told me thirty years ago that we’d be talking about this today, I would have told you that you were crazy,” Vera says. “All we’ve ever wanted was to make our own music, to take joy and take pride in doing it. The fact that we also have very loyal fans who continue to support what we do is the best icing on this cake. I try to look at our records as objectively as possible, and when I can do that, I’m very proud that this record is a huge part of the band’s legacy, and I am extremely humbled that I’m a part of that.”
