Italy’s Artist/Producer BECKO Releases New Single & Video ‘Darkest Days’ (Prod. by Mike Shinoda)

BECKO’s “Darkest Days” is a poignant creation juxtaposing heartfelt vocal melodies with intense screams and hard-hitting beats. Produced by Mike Shinoda and accompanied by a cinematic, narrative-driven music video, this new track marks a milestone in Becko’s creative evolution. “Darkest Days” is available now on all platforms from independent electronic rock label FiXT Radium.

Becko is an Italian artist/producer based in Vatican City. Originally known as the vocalist from post-hardcore band Hopes Die Last, Becko grew up as a scene-kid and huge Linkin Park fan. Becko was recently chosen by Mike Shinoda to produce his latest track “Darkest Days” live on Shinoda’s Twitch stream and the track drops Sept 17th along with an official music video. “Darkest Days” showcases Becko’s multi-genre mix of Electro-Alt-Emo-Metal-and-Trap with his signature vocals, as one of the final singles from his upcoming full-length album You Are (Not) Alone. The album will be out November 2021 through independent electronic-rock label FiXT Radium.

Rising from the ashes of post hardcore band Hopes Die Last, Italian multi-genre producer, musician and vocalist Marco Calanca created Becko as a solo project, uniting influences of EDM, Hip-Hop, Industrial and Emo-Rock.

With previous releases under his belt with labels ranging from Warner Italy and Universal Italy, to Monstercat, Lowly Palace, and Smash the House since 2014, Becko found a new home in early 2020, signing a multi-album deal with the independent, artist-owned/operated USA-based electronic-rock label FiXT, founded by genre-pioneering artist & producer Klayton (Celldweller, Circle of Dust).

In 2020, Becko released the full-length album INNER SELF, as a triumphant fusion of trap & metal. In early 2021 Mike Shinoda (Linkin Park), chose Becko to produce one of his upcoming songs, which will appear on his next album.

RESTIVE NATION Release Haunting New Single And Video ‘Act III’

Following last month’s ‘Revolt/Reanimate’ single, Ireland’s crossover progressive rockers, RESTIVE NATION return with a haunting, melancholic composition. ‘Act III’ is loaded with the bands’ renowned atmospheric soundscape that draws from elements of Tool and A Perfect Circle, against a concept of a post-humanistic, Orwellian future.

Intrigued yet? To classify Restive Nation’s genre is akin to finding the space between NIN’s ‘The Fragile’ and Massive Attack’s ‘Mezzanine’ opus. The band present ideas in sound that incorporate elements of past, present, and future.

Speaking of the new single, the band commented: “It is a full embrace of progressive rock with similarities to Tool, Mastodon and Gojira. The music is a dark and foreboding experience that grows with intensity to an explosive finish.
The song is one of our darkest releases to date with themes of internet culture and the decay of human society. The Lyrical theme explores the constant stream of hate and self-righteousness expressed on the internet. The art of discussion and conversation is now dead because of online culture. You chase those thumbs, hearts and likes to receive a gambler’s high. We were once a high society of intellects, but have now reduced ourselves to smashing buttons on a machine
.”

‘Act III’ will be available exclusively via the bands’ official YouTube page to coincide with the growing visual concept of their forthcoming new album. Plans for a release via streaming platforms will be announced early 2022.

CANDLEBOX Release Music Video ‘All Down Hill from Here’, New Album Out Now

Seattle-based, multi-platinum rockers CANDLEBOX have released their brand new album Wolves, available on all major streaming platforms, CD, and vinyl. This is Candlebox’s seventh studio album and the follow-up to 2016’s Disappearing in Airports. Wolves was produced by Dean Dichoso at the legendary Henson Studios in Los Angeles, California.

Stream Wolves here: https://orcd.co/wolves

Wolves is a modern rock album that’s rife with brutal lyrical honesty and songs that run the gamut from dirty rock stompers to timeless, radio-ready pop-rock tunes. Vocalist Kevin Martin says, “These are songs that I love that the band loved. We didn’t stop ourselves from recording anything if we dug it; we allowed each song to dictate to us what it needed musically, instrumentally.” With this creative freedom, Wolves has a fresh modernity in terms of sound. The album features the singles “All Down Hill from Here,” “Let Me Down Easy,” and “My Weakness.”

Furthermore, Candlebox have premiered the music video for “All Down Hill from Here,” a single from Wolves that Martin co-wrote with Christopher Thorne of Blind Melon. The music video features footage of Candlebox on the road. Martin says, “I’m not a fan of shooting videos where it’s all set up and there’s some sort of script or something like that. I think Candlebox is a far better band live and in-person than they are trying to be characters in a video. Anytime we do a live video, I just enjoy it.”

Independent Music Videos & Review raves, “With the album Wolves, Candlebox proves that after all these years they are still a force to be reckoned with. The album contains something for everybody ranging from heavy tracks to mellow to a little of the sound that made fans fall in love with the band in the early nineties.”

GODHEAD MACHINERY Unleash Fierce, New Video ‘Orbis Non Sufficit’ From Upcoming Album

Following their much acclaimed predecessors, ”Ouroboros” and ”Aligned to the Grid”, November 26, 2021 will see Swedish black/death metal act GODHEAD MACHINERY release their brand new album, Monotheistic Enslavement, through Black Lion Records.

Founded in 2014 by Kail Karlsson ( formerly in Swedish black metal band Misericordia ), Godhead Machinery’s forthcoming album will take a darker path compared to their previous records, exploring the sick twisted mind of humanity. The record will also feature Krzysztof Raczkowski of iconic death metal band VADER on drums. Karlsson’s deep interest and studies within religion and political structures, also reflects the concept of Monotheistic Enslavement. The guitarist / vocalist explains:

“The conceptual idea of the EP and forthcoming album spawns out of what Godhead Machinery stands for in general. Godhead Machinery serves as a tool to analyze in which ways religious beliefs infiltrate laws, policy, behaviors, and moral codes of todays society. By identifying these influencing factors, we can confront them and break free from them. The Devil represent the opposition against this well-planned form of indoctrinated slavery!”

Just recently, the band shared a first song taken from their upcoming, blistering magnum opus! Listen to “Orbis Non Sufficit” here:

“Orbis Non Sufficit is one of our most intensive and furious tracks ever written and lyrical wise lift the limitations of both flesh and soul within this presence, and the perception of the end of all.” Karlsson continues.

“Extra credits to our unstoppable Polish blast-machine Krzysztof from the legendary Vader for making these tunes possible!”

Monotheistic Enslavement was mixed and mastered by Magnus Jonsson at Milk Studios, Sweden. The album will be released as LP, CD and Digital formats on November 26, 2021, through underground powerhouse Black Lion Records. You can now pre-order your copy at THIS LOCATION!

Tracklist:

  1. Sovereign Of Nullity
  2. Ethereal
  3. Dethroned
  4. Orbis Non Sufficit
  5. Upon His Deceitful Star
  6. Helion
  7. Monotheistic Enslavement
