The first full-length album by the Bremen death metal quartet from FEAR CONNECTION is just around the corner!
After Corona threw a spanner in the original release plans, “Progeny Of A Social Disease” will be released on 1 October via Black Sunset/MDD. The follow-up to 2018’s EP “Raging Terror” was produced at Soundlodge Studio under the direction of Jörg Uken.
The result is an incredibly brutal, dynamic and varied album that combines powerful death metal with thrash elements, various facets of crust/punk/d-beats, catchy melodies and hooklines. The album will be released as a CD jewel case as well as a vinyl edition in two different (black and neon-green-splatter) versions. Stay Tuned!
Czech post, doom metal band INDRID COLD have released a second official video taken from their 2021 album release Monument Prázdnoty (released worldwide via Sliptrick Records) and once again directed by Luboš Stručovský.
Here’s the bands enigmatic statement; “It is the prayer of my innermost being to realize my supreme identity in the liberated play of consciousness, the Vast Expanse. Now is the moment, here is the place of Liberation.” Alex Grey
Monument Prázdnoty (Eng: Monument of Emptiness) is the debut album from Czech post, doom metal band Indrid Cold. The word emptiness means: “The field of boundless emptiness is what exists from the very beginning. You must purify, cure, grind down, or brush away all the tendencies you have fabricated into apparent habits. Then you can reside in a clear circle of brightness. Utter emptiness has no image. Upright independence does not rely on anything. Just expand and illuminate the original truth unconcerned by external conditions. Read more …here
Jimmy Kay and Alan Dixon from Canada’s The Metal Voice recently spoke to lead singer of Sabaton Joakim Brodén about the upcoming tour opening for Judas Priest and their new upcoming studio album plus a whole lot more.
When asked about their upcoming Tour with Judas Priest and how it came about “I don’t know exactly how but we played with Priest the first time in 2010 in Berlin. We have run into each other at festivals and it’s all about timing. When we were kids one of our first favorite band was Judas Priest. Obviously we wanted to tour with them even before they knew we existed. It was supposed to be last year but finally we managed to get the timing right with album releases and when we were able to tour. I am really really looking forward to it. Doubly so since we have not been touring much lately and also to be touring with one of our favorite bands of all time, can’t be better huh?”
When asked about the upcoming new Sabaton studio album “It’s a Sabaton Album, we have been an evolutionary band not a revolutionary band. There is always surprises on a Sabaton album but we are never going to flip the coin and do something totally different on every song on a new album. There is going to be surprises on every album. I am actually listening and approving the master for the new album right now. A new album is always subjective and I think it’s pathetic when an artist says, this is our best album we ever made and they keep promoting the same tired line. I say it’s up to the listen to decide. But I know for a fact that everybody in the band, without even sitting in the same room together cause I shipped out the pre mixes to everyone and this is the only time in our history that everybody came back with F*** that sounds great! Everybody is super happy with the production. We were always happy before but maybe this maybe that but now wow we are really happy with the sound. I can’t reveal the exact topic but we are doing modern warfare 20th century.”
Will the songs that you released during the pandemic be on the new album “No they are totally separate from the new album. Those are not on the album we have a complete album, plus those tracks plus a bit more.”
Aug 14 2021 post on Sabaton’s Social media Announcing new album: THE WAR TO END ALL WARS!
JUDAS PRIEST chose Sabaton as main support on their “50 Heavy Metal Years” tour of North America, scheduled for September and October 2021. The group will kick off 2022 with an unprecedented 29-city tour of their home country.
“ALIVE is the song that starts a new era for RED DEVIL VORTEX, presenting the prodigy guitarist Luis Kalil as the new member. It’s a song of empowerment, about believing in yourself and being free to live on your own terms. After all the craziness and uncertainties brought by the Pandemic, we feel like this is a timeless message that fits the present moment perfectly, reminding us we can always be stronger and kick ass” says the band.
From living in an RV on the streets of Hollywood to #16 on the Billboard Charts, Red Devil Vortex is not only the sonic result of life’s chaos and frustrations, but a statement of fighting for what you believe in. Though adapting to a new world of cultural shocks and real life challenges when moving from Curitiba, Brazil to Los Angeles, CA, lead singer / bassist Gabriel Connor and drummer Iago Marcondes were relentless and just getting louder.
The band had its kickstart with the single “The Fallen” from 2016 followed by the EP Something Has To Die released in May of 2018. Produced by Augustus “Gus” Cryns (Butcher Babies, Anti-Flag), the EP hit the US Billboard charts on its first week at No #16 (Heatseekers Chart) and No #49 (Independent Albums Chart) with over 250k Spotify streams to date.
Between 2019 and 2020 the band went back in studio to record their second EP, facing the departure of original guitarist Pablo Kravicz during the process. Gabriel and Iago managed to finish the record before another loss with the untimely death of their friend and producer Augustus during the pandemic lockdowns.
All releases were postponed but Gabriel and Iago kept Red Devil Vortex alive, using the time to organically find the right guitarist to get back on track. That guy was Luis Kalil, a 21-year-old award winning guitar prodigy based in Los Angeles who is also from Brazil and has either recorded or performed with artists such as Steve Vai, Corey Taylor (Slipknot, Stone Sour), Kiko Loureiro & Dirk Verbeuren (Megadeth) among others.
With Luis onboard, his guitars were recorded in all the remaining tracks done with Augustus Cryns not only honoring the work they’ve done together before his passing but giving a new meaning and creating a new chapter in the history of Red Devil Vortex.
Dark Secrets, Red Devil Vortex’ new record, is set to be released in the second half of 2021.
In August 2019, power metal newcomers NORTHTALE released their successful debut album “Welcome To Paradise”. After a recent line up change, the band announced their new vocalist, Guilherme Hirose from Sao Paolo, Brazil. Now, with a new album and a big tour on the horizon, the band are happy to present a special single to shorten the wait: Today, NORTHTALE release a music video for their re-recorded version of the 2019 track ‘Follow Me‘ with Guilherme Hirose on vocals.
Guitarist Bill Hudson comments: “As most of you know, we have recently welcomed our new singer, Guilherme Hirose, to the band. While the world was hiding inside their homes, a lot of musicians just went into the studio to create new music, and we were no different. Guilherme has blown our minds in the studio, and I am pretty sure we’ve created a much better record than our debut. This also made me want to listen to him sing some of our old songs, so we recorded a few of those in the studio and we get to show them to you now! Sadly, it’ll be a few months before our new album is out, but rest assured, it’ll come out in time for our European tour with UNLEASH THE ARCHERS and STRIKER this winter! We will start it off with my favorite song in the entire album, ‘Follow Me’!”
New singer Guilherme Hirose adds: “I’m very happy and thankful that I was able put my interpretation and soul on some of the songs from Northtale’s debut album! I can’t wait for everyone to save those songs on their favorite playlists!”
